PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS CLASS!!
I am a 19-year old college student home for the summer, and I thought the AIR Foundation class would be a fun activity to do with my 12 year old cousin. They had a deal for 5 classes for $99, which we decided to book, hoping to take 5 classes together. (A few weeks later I received an email offering $15 classes, so it ended up not being such a good deal). We received an email the day of the class saying that she was too young for the class, so was unenrolled. I would totally understand if the company wanted their classes to be adult only, but there is no age limit for the Foundation class anywhere on the website. We even complained about the lack of information afterwards, and still nothing has changed. They made an exception for that class, but then wouldn't let her go afterwards, and luckily refunded the rest of her purchased classes. My cousin was very respectful in class, and is of adult size, so I'm still not sure why they wouldn't let her continue, but we are happy she received a refund. I, on the other hand, was not so lucky. We asked for a refund for myself as well, as the whole point of buying the classes was for us to go together and they refused. They explained to us that all purchases were final, but I believe this is unfair, as nowhere on the website did it say my cousin would be too young. Their guidelines were extremely unclear. I intentionally booked the classes as an activity to do together, and then I was left with 4 classes that I had to use by myself. As I mentioned before, I am only 19 years old and a full time student, so this was quite a lot of money for me to spend on something that I couldn't even use with my cousin.
After multiple emails back and forth, I decided to try to make the most of my remaining classes, but was unfortunately extremely disappointed in that as well. If you look on their schedule, you will notice that they offer very few classes per day, and most are at an inconvenient time. For example, there are only classes at 6am and 7am on Fridays. Additionally, classes are frequently canceled. (There was one weekend I attempted to go and every single class was canceled). So not only was I stuck with 4 classes to use, I had a very, very hard time finding a time that I could actually go at. In terms of the workout, it is definitely something different, but I didn't think it was anything all that amazing or worthwhile. The biggest issue for me was how much the class hurt. No matter what I wore, the ropes dug into my skin. I even ended up with bruises on my hips after one class. I told this to multiple instructors, and they all told me that the pain was normal and just something to get used to. I personally don't think that any class that leaves you in physical pain and with visible bruises is worthwhile or something I would like to get used to. There was also one class where I nearly slipped head first out of my hammock, and I was appalled that the instructor never reviewed how to safely get out of your hammock prior to getting myself into this position.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the management and quality of workout from AIR, and would not recommend anybody spend their money on it. It was a huge waste of $99 for me.

I had the best time training with Kyla! She is such a fantastic instructor and I felt so great after the session. We did just the right amount of strength and flexibility training, and I learned quite a few fun new shapes! Can’t wait to go back!

An amazing studio for anyone looking to build strength through aerial practice. The environment is warm and inclusive, creating a true sense of community. The studio is well maintained and filled with bright natural light and a skylight that adds to the ambiance. The staff is friendly, professional, and always willing to assist students.
Whether you're new to aerial or have experience with yoga, Air offers the perfect blend of challenge and balance, leaving you feeling both energized and refreshed after each class. I would highly recommend giving class a try, with an open mind and a sense curiosity :)

AIR has helped me take my aerial journey to the next step! The instructors here are patient and really take the time to break down moves step by step and help guide you through combos and sequences. I started my aerial hammock journey at AIR and even though it has been just 7 months, I can really see the difference in myself as an aerialist who also does pole dancing. I am stronger and more flexible. Thank you AIR! I brought several of my friends and they enjoyed their experience here! I highly recommend it to everyone <3

I was really looking forward to this class. I booked it a week prior and was really excited about it. I got there 10 minutes late, and the door was closed. I knocked a couple of times, and the people inside saw me but didn’t open the door. I’m very upset and disappointed.

Purchased a class and then they changed location and I asked if I could use my class credit at the new location ($31 for one single first time class).
I couldn’t even get ahold of them also for weeks and they ignored my calls asking if I can take a class with my credit and when they finally called me back after saying they have a new phone system they refused to let me take a class. Disappointing and not very welcoming. I showed them a receipt of my class purchase $31 and they said that was for the old location. I was sick so couldn’t go and was told at the time that I can use the pass at a future date (I wasn’t told that it would expire). I tried to call and make sure I can use it at the new location and they ignored my emails and texts and then finally called back and said the pass “expired.” You’d think they’d see the receipt of the purchase and let me try the class as a first time goer or refund me?
Also they’re on ClassPass which is super cheap to use credits but I paid $31 which is more than what I even pay on ClassPass for a full month/ multiple classes at various locations. I could’ve used my credit from ClassPass to go and try it out but don’t even want to waste the credits at this point after having a bad taste in my mouth with how rude and inflexible and hard to reach they are.
Disappointed because the new location is right near where I live and I might’ve become a long term member, but I don’t even want to try it out now. Also I was specifically told that I can use the credit sometime in the future when I wasn’t sick. After a lot of back and forth/ texts etc they just said no they can’t let me use the old credit. It was a waste of my time and they didn’t offer a refund or anything just said unfortunately you can’t use the old credit for the old location. Hmm. Feels a bit scammy
* It was not 15 minutes before the class started, it was hours before. I sent an email and then called and I was told to not come in and to use the credits in the future. Then later saw that the location closed. When I saw a new location near me I tried to see if I can try it out at the new location. I explained the situation and sent a screenshot of everything (the receipt, including the date of purchase and location, etc) and nobody responded for weeks and then when they finally did it was back and forth over text, then a phone call, and then I was told the credits expired after I brought up that it was from a year ago (which was already shown on the receipt which I forwarded them). If they can offer this on ClassPass, I don’t know why they didn’t let me try it and give an exception for a first time trying Air aerial and after all the hassle of lack of communication, ignoring my emails etc.
On top of this, now they’re lying in their response below saying that I canceled 15 mins before the class started but I emailed at 9:10am (the time is marked on the email) and the class was at 12:30. I woke up sick and it said in the policy / on the receipt that they don’t want you to come in if you feel sick.
Also I invited 2 friends to join me for a first time session at AIR. None of us will be going after the weirdness unfortunately.
I have had great experiences at other yoga studios in the area/ on ClassPass. Just am a little shocked at how they handled that, and I am just explaining my experience. To each their own! Including a screenshot to clear up the fact that it was not 15 mins before the class started, and they know that!

I started in 2021 and it has become my lifestyle now! I can’t see my life without aerial. This place has seriously changed my brain chemistry and function for the better❤️ I get to live my Cirque Du Soleil workout to be able to do these amazing cirq-style routines instead of working out to “look good” which was so unhealthy thinking.
AIR also offers amazing workshops to get majorly improve your splits or backbends and spin ridiculously fast.
10/10 would recommend to EVERYONE to try aerial and especially with AIR because they actually teach you GREAT conditioning skills that build muscle and strength.

session felt a bit short, but the instructor was super nice and sweet. a surprisingly intense workout with the fabric felt awesome and definitely sparked something in me to want to come back again. would highly recommend! they occasionally do a free community class, so those are a great way to give it a try if you’re not sure about aerial fitness :)
google maps hours don’t match their actual hours really, check the schedule on their website instead!

I’ve been going to the Beverly studio for years now and I’m so glad they opened up a second location!! Now I have the opportunity to get a fun and challenging work-out in and explore a new neighborhood.
If you’re reading this review because you’ve always wanted to try aerial silks, I’d highly recommend coming to AIR. They have classes for all levels and lots of fun workshops too! While I’m nowhere to being in the circus, their classes and instructors always leave me feeling more confident in my aerial silk abilities and with practice and consistency, I’m sure you’ll be as great as the instructors here.

Found this new studio via class pass and thought why not? I have to admit I was extremely nervous never having done aerial yoga before but our instructor Michelle really made things simple for us.
Didn’t think I’d get such a demanding and rewarding workout from one session! I look forward to returning.
Pros:
Easy to pick up
Street parking is abundant
Class pass integration makes for fast in and outs
Solid core and upper body workout
Cons:
Tempting food in area

I have been going to Air for over a year now, and I am absolutely addicted! The classes are scaffolded in a way to account for ANY ability level, and the instructors are SO kind and encouraging and have built such a wonderful community! The expansion to their new studio on Pico is so exciting because that many more people will get to experience Air!
