Over the years I have had many chiros and PTs. Not one of them caught the supination in my left foot, nor the fact that my whole hip had twisted in order to avoid putting any weight on the arch itself. As a result of this compensation, my body completely morphed and misaligned in order to cope with the trauma of multiple strains, sprains and impact injuries accrued during my military enlistment.

But for Anna I would have kept walking around on the side of my foot. Her vigilance during our pilates and spin classes probably caught me before I snapped my tendons or ACL.

With her help I am relearning how to walk, sit, push and pull. It’s going to be a hard and long journey, but her disciplined and upbeat encouragement paired with my determination will see the rehabilitation through.

I am more than confident that with her at my side I will begin to heal and develop a healthy relationship with my leg.

I highly recommend her skills to anyone on the East side. Thanks, Anna! 💕🙏🏼

Update: photo below of my progression. From being bed bound to up and walking! In less than 4 months Anna has transformed my relationship to my hip and foot and the results are incredible! More to come!!!!

Anna is a gifted, technical teacher. She's helped me build strength and confidence in how I move my body. She's extremely intuitive and instructive, always knowing what I need. I have scolosis and she's helped improve my pain level and alignment. My posture is better. She's the type of teacher I would hate to lose. Anna is a gift to anyone who is looking to realign and strengthen their bodies in the hands of someone with incredible knowledgeable of traditional classical Pilates. She is exceptionally observant and intuitive about where a body’s misalignment or weaknesses stem from, and over the past year and a half she has patiently helped me to overcome my own physical challenges, revolutionizing my posture and strength, and turning down the volume on my fears about getting hurt while exercising. She is always reminding me how much I CAN do and helping me push past habitual thoughts that my body is aging and therefore has limitations. Her energy is always focused and exceptionally positive. She is both rigorous and playful, and every session has just the right amount of creative variety that I feel like I’m always expanding my own range of what I am capable of. I can’t believe I’ve only been going to Anna for about 6 months, the incredible changes I’ve seen in my body and overall well-being in that time has surpassed any expectations I thought I had!! I always thought pilates wasn’t for me and based on the only 2 times I had tried it (in a class setting) I was intimidated by it despite years of weight lifting and going to the gym.

Well with the pandemic and lack of activity, I ended up gaining weight and becoming out of shape. I wasn’t happy and struggled to make any progress on my own. I was recommended to try one-on-one pilates. I did a search and found Anna. I signed up for the intro series and I haven’t stopped signing up for more sessions since then! I never thought I’d say this — I LOVE pilates! And the credit goes to Anna!

Anna is an absolutely wonderful instructor. She is extremely knowledgeable about pilates, movement, and the body. She is patient and takes the time to understand your goals, ability, and you. She also makes sure to teach you how all the movements come together and how the muscles are working in the process. Not everything in pilates “clicks” in my head right away on how to do certain movements. Instead of my usual feeling frustrated, Anna is able to translate the movements needed in a way that is easy for me to understand and “click” for me. As a result, I’m now doing movements I never thought possible and truly enjoying the full experience. I leave every session feeling recharged, refreshed and strong! No matter the day before pilates, my day is always made better after my session with Anna.

Her home studio is a calming, clean and relaxing setting. The equipment she uses is top of the line. She is very diligent about disinfecting between sessions. The one-on-one setting with masks on and vaccination proof required make me feel very safe even with Covid going on.

If you are brand new to pilates, or experienced, I HIGHLY recommend Anna to help you reach your goals! Give the intro series a try, your body will thank you! It’s also an added plus that is super easy to book with Anna!! It can be done all on her website, including payment, so you don’t have to play phone tag or keep up with chasing emails. Very convenient and easy!

LOVE Anna! I’ve been seeing her for about 6 months and she has helped me tremendously from head to toe, literally. After every session, I always feel taller and more flexible. I started going to Anna when I was several weeks pregnant with my second child. Anna worked with me on building strength from the feet up, learning how to breathe in order to move without tension, and becoming more attuned to my body's strengths and weaknesses. After a surprisingly breezy birth (very different from my first), I was up walking and moving freely within a day. I attribute this incredible recovery and fundamental strength to her teaching and coaching.

Now more than 2 years later, I am still seeing Anna once a week, and I am learning new things every week. Each week I see progress that is encouraging, from increased flexibility and range of motion in problem areas, to deeper breathing and stability throughout my body. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to build strong "infrastructure," as Anna calls it, for their body.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that working with Anna has changed my life. I have now been seeing her 2-3x a week for 9 months and I have a totally different outlook on my body. Rather than being frustrated by it, I am amazed at what it can do! She is so knowledgeable and works hard to make sure you understand how particular muscles work and why we are doing things a certain way. She is kind and patient, but there is no “can’t” with Anna. She will not let you give up — she works tirelessly to find a way for you to safely do a movement, and she never lets you feel bad for modifying it. I appreciate this so much, because Pilates is hard, and it would be so easy to give up when things get tough, but Anna is unceasingly positive and encouraging. I am so grateful to have found her!

Anna is the most motivating, conscientious and informed pilates instructor that I've ever worked with, and I've worked with many. Her understanding of the body and how one thing affects another has revealed where the real weaknesses are that have caused years of chronic pain, so I'm finally able to strengthen the actual problem spot and get rid of the pain for good! Anna has the soothing energy of a healer, the quiet determination of a person who knows what it is to face challenges, and the spirit of someone who has sought out balance within herself. Our sessions are so focused that there's a meditative quality to them, so I end them feeling physically challenged and mentally refreshed. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Anna...
Her patience and wisdom are everything.
I have had 2 shoulder surgeries and was left with very limited range of motion.
I also have a torn meniscus.
on the verge of giving up I was introduced to Anna and from there everything changed...
I’m on a journey... a journey back to my body.
