It is without hesitation that I give Gwenn at AYFS a 5 star revue. Her ability to to construct a class that meets everyone's need is commendable. The fact that I look forward to class every week speaks volumes about the environment that she has created at her studio.

I have practiced yoga for about 20 years. In 2012, I discovered Auburn Yoga Studio and met owner Gwenn Jones. With the obvious exception of the pandemic years, Iβve tried to practice yoga at least once a week. I have never been disappointed in the yoga instruction provided by Gwenn; she is an excellent teacher and has a vast knowledge of yoga and of human physiology. I trust her guidance and appreciate her sensitivity to all students in her class. She is welcoming, kind, and dedicatedβ¦her studio is always a safe environment for the beginner or advanced practitioner. Also, the studio is exceptionally clean, well lit, easy to access and equipped with a wide variety of props. I recommend Auburn Yoga Studio enthusiastically and without a moment of hesitation.

Gwenn Jones is the highly skilled and professional owner of Auburn Yoga Studio. Not only is she a proficient yoga teacher, she is an extremely qualified and licensed personal trainer.
She has been my personal trainer for well over 10 years and is constantly adding in new exercises and training to motivate me!
She is also well educated in other areas of health, diet and exercise.
I highly recommend Gwenn, she is a warm, caring and energetic force!

I really want to thank Auburn Yoga and Fitness Studio and particularly yoga instructor Susan Hayes for the gift of improved health. My spinal fusion back surgery in 2018 failed above and below the surgery site by just a few months after surgery. Regardless I enrolled in yoga classes - On the Ball, Senior Yoga, Restorative Yoga - and Susan modified the poses according to my abilities. I went into my second spinal fusion surgery in better shape than I had been in years. My back is holding strong and I credit this current success to my yoga practice - I have built strength, flexibility and am developing my core. And I have lost 30 lbs! I will be forever grateful that during this crucial first year of my recovery, despite the pandemic, Susan kept the yoga classes going.

Susan is by far my absolute favorite and Fun Yoga Teacher! She is a very dedicated, seasoned and extremely knowledgeable Instructor. She cares about and knows each of her students. She is constantly expanding and providing challenges as needed in our classes. I appreciate Susan's genuine nature and her wonderful humor, especially during stressful times! Susan is open to feedback and modifies the postures for each student's needs. Susan's classes are a priority in my life and I am beyond grateful to her!!

I live in NYC, have been doing pilates 2-3x a week since 2001, but when Covid-19 hit, that stopped. Out of a need to keep my 64 year old body from seizing up (sitting at my laptop all day), I started taking Susan's yoga classes over zoom. OMG, I knew she was good (took classes whenever I visited my mom in CA), but after a year of doing her 3x week classes I can vouch for how fantastic a teacher she truly is. My body has never felt better (and I have stenosis throughout my spine) and I've been able to maintain my flexibility and my pain level has virtually disappeared!!!
Susan is thoughtful of each of her student's physical issues and will tailor each position for what ails them. She is nonjudgemental, and will always show us how she's just as forgetful, out of balance or inflexible as the next person. Susan has a way by which her candor with her students unites us all and she brings a feel of community to our classes.
Susan is constantly adding new postures/routines to keep us challenged but us all. She records her classes, for anyone who misses a session , plus so she can review each student and watch for ways which she can help us adjust our positions.
I can now understand why she has had returning students for years. Susan truly is a gifted teacher and I am thankful for her.

I had been searching for a yoga studio for several years before finding Gwenn at Auburn Yoga. It was worth the wait, she is amazing... it felt like home from the very first class! Her classes offers something for all levels, she pushes you, but yet she seems to provide exactly what you need!

I have been attending Gwenn's soft yoga since her studio's inception in 2008. I love the individual attention she gives to each client's physical needs. The guided stretching and strengthening allow me to live the active lifestyle I intend to continue. I entered class with a weak back, and see such strengthening progress that I intend to continue to ski and jog and hike without the fear of injury I had before attending her classes .

As a massage therapist I always tell people that Yoga would help their condition, no matter what condition they had. And it is true, after joining Auburn Yoga (AYF) under the impressive patient guidance of instructor Gwenn Jones, I realize that my prescription to others was truer than even I expected. Yoga has changed my life, my expectations about my life, and my enjoyment of life. Physically I feel more in tune with my body parts, my posture has improved tremendously, and I FEEL so much better working on my computer. Yoga postures help in so many ways, not only anatomically but also internally, breathing deeply is so healthful, calming & refreshing. Most amazing to me is the fact that I have had a pain in my right shoulder blade for about 6 or 7 yrs until one day a few weeks ago when after a stretching routine for upper back, I noticed that my pain had gone! It has still not come back. I am so grateful. I love my yoga class with Gwenn.

I had always held an interest in yoga. Two years ago, despite a heart condition, I dropped into a local yoga studio. There I met an instructor who turned out to be Gwenn (owner of AYF). What I assumed would be a short discussion evolved into a hour long review of my heart condition, my diet, and my physical limitations. I started classes shortly there after. Under Gwenn's guidance my heart, my diet, and my physical well being have all improved dramatically. I just turned 60 and like Tony the Tiger, I feel G-R-E-A-T! Auburn Yoga and Fitness receives a 5 star review from me.
