It’s my first time being back in pole full time after almost 5 years. I’m so happy I was able to restart my journey at BeSpun. I mostly take classes with Erynn and Ashley and I could not have asked for better pole moms. They are both really supportive and encouraging. Even though their classes tend to be full, they make sure to go to each student to give them feedback. I feel like I’ve grown so much in such a short amount of time. 10/10 would recommend taking their class if you’re nervous about getting into pole.

Five stars to the staff and managements
I’ve been training her for over 2 months for my first competition with Tilly and Natashawang. Amazing coaches and I’ve progressed so much. Highly recommend to intermediate-advanced students! And those TALL poles!!

Such an awesome pole studio. Every instructor is really great at explaining and breaking down the movements, being encouraging and giving individual tips. Even though you do share the pole if class is fuller, you still get a good workout bc each move is so tiring as you take turns. Other students are so sweet and encouraging too. If you want to get stronger and work on your form, I really recommend the climbing and conditioning class with Kyla, because she’s an amazing instructor and I’ve gotten so much stronger taking her class (her intro classes and stretches are also so good!).

I think everyone leaving a negative review is absolutely nuts. I think this is such a wonderful studio. I have never in my almost 30 years of life found an exercise routine that I could actually stick to until now! I try to take almost a class a day and I’m shocked at my improvement in just a few months (having no dance background or coordination whatsoever.) the people here are so motivating and I now get so sad when I have to miss a class. The studio is nice, I can ALWAYS find a parking spot, and the energy of the class is laid back and friendly. The teachers are kind and inclusive and empowering, and really are rooting for you on your journey. In my experience, every instructor is beyond patient and will always offer modifications for beginners, they’re all so encouraging and always urge us to listen to our bodies and not push ourselves / risk injury. Rebecca especially has a huge emphasis on form and is an amazing teacher especially for beginners, I highly recommend beginners take a fundamentals series with her if you want to have a really hands on, small class environment with individual attention to learn the basics (like I did). If you want to be a part of a great community, definitely take a class here. It feels like one of the last exercise studios that hasn’t been ruined by corporate nonsense and still has real experts teaching small classes with a family kind of vibe. Love it here! Xoxo

Bespun is an incredible studio with even better teachers who are kind, patient and of course beautiful! Pole has become a fitness and cardio addition to my regular practice and I enjoy all the new tricks and movements from it. Highly recommend!

If you are new to pole and looking to test a class or begin your pole journey, literally go anywhere else. I honestly want to give this place 1 star but it seems to be pretty popular amongst more advanced level pole dancers, so 2 stars it is.

For context - I am visiting LA from out-of-town and am very early into my pole journey. Before getting into the class, I want to comment on the actual studio first.

There was a class finishing up before ours and not a single person wiped their pole down. Gross. It also generally didn't feel super clean. Our class began with a floor warm-up on yoga mats provided by the studio. When we were done with those, we were not asked to spray them down either, just to roll them back up and put them away. Also gross. The studio accommodates up to 12 people per class but they only have half that number of poles, so you end up being up to 2 people per pole, switching spots every few minutes. Why am I paying full price (and not a cheap one) for a pole class that doesn't give me full access to said pole?!?! Make it make sense.

It feels important to mention that there was not a SINGLE warm up pertaining to neck and shoulders. I have a hard time understanding how this is ok, considering how easy it is to sustain injury, especially as a first-timer or beginner. So unsafe. Right after the warm-up, the instructor told us to get our pole heels on if we had them, as well as our knee pads. If I am walking into this class for the first time, I feel completely unprepared and intimidated - not to mention that I obviously do not own any pole gear at this time. Why are there heels in a beginner class? It became evident that 1/2 the class was way past beginner, especially toward the end during the freestyle portion where some students were in full inverts. I genuinely had to double-check with the instructor at the end of class to make sure I was in fact in beginner pole. She said that yes and that it's also open to advanced students to come and take class/practice. Listen, IMO, that is called an all-levels class. It just feels unfair to actual beginners paying to come in.

The class was mostly floor work and exactly 1 pole spin. Zero emphasis on proper technique. Super disappointing.

Every staff and student has been nothing but kind here. As a first timer on the pole, I had a lot of questions— all teachers went out of their way to answer, re-demonstrate, and encourage me.

I’ve taken my first 3 classes this week and I’m sore to the max but so ready for more! Thank you BeSpun for a welcoming intro to a fabulous sport.

My home studio. I can't say enough good things about this studio, the teachers, the classes, the community - I have definitely found my people here. The classes are fantastic and I always leave feeling like I got a fantastic workout and some killer moves. I have gained so much confidence in my dancing and my body since I have been coming to Bespun (about a year and a half - three to four times a week.) I started taking the intro/beginner classes and am now in the most advanced choreo classes they offer. I am also participating in their virtual showcase and am excited to join their competitive team.

If you are even moderately interested in pole fitness, run, don't walk!

BeSpun is definitely the original around LA. I do wish they got back on Classpass. Just a heads up, they’re not really a beginners studio.. but if you’ve been taking pole and want to take from some different teachers, go for it!!

This studio has a range of instructors, classes, & workshops. If you want to get a monthly membership there is definitely enough space, time, and classes to improve at whatever pace you'd like in many different styles. If you don't have a pole at, sometimes they do "Open Pole" where you can practice without an instructor.

Yes you need to make sure you're on time, which may result in late fees but that's typical for studios. Another thing ~ when I first realized I was sharing a pole I was a little disappointed too (reading other reviews here) but then you realize you actually need breaks & it's helpful to observe as well so all in all, it makes sense.

Had a great first ever session today, with my friend who is visiting! Neither of us have pole danced before, but play sports/do yoga, so we have some background strength that helped us out in the class. We were lucky enough to have a 2-on-1 session with Kelsea, who was lovely and very supportive and pumped us up. She taught us lots of moves, from walking, to spins, to fan kicks and head stands at the pole. So much fun! Would totally recommend for a great confidence boost for you and your friends!

The studio is tiny, 2-3 ppl per pole, sometimes you don’t even have enough time to practice because of other people. They have ripping off policies. I bought package for 8 classes that I could only use within one month. They said classes could roll over if I buy next month, but they don’t have enough classes for my level in a proper time to even get these 8 classes. They they didn’t have any classes for the beginner at all for the e true week for some show that they were doing. So there was no way for me to use these 8 classes and it was their fault, but they still wanted to charge me the entire months though I couldn’t take classes because of their schedule. Then I decided to cancel my membership, had to email them cause apparently whoever answers the phone dan not do anything. they said I should pay for 3 months to cancel it. I said ok - please cancel after 3 month, they cancelled it immediately without warning, so I ended up paying the entire month and using only 3 classes because of their schedule and no availability of classes for beginners for the entire week. So damn and rip off. And then no one answers my emails and calling me to clarify the confusion on their end. So to summarize - they messed up and they don’t care to clean it up. Sooo unhappy

Not friendly. Not great beginners studio.

If you’ve been poling awhile, this is a great place to learn from talented teachers. If you’ve got a serious dance background, also great.

If you are new, avoid this place. You will not get a ton of time on the pole. Classes are packed. There’s definitely a competitive, Instagram, skinny girl, cheerleader vibe. It’s just not a good studio for beginners to gain confidence. Go somewhere else to fall in love with the hobby and come back here when you feel like you’re an advanced intermediate.

I'm on Class 2 of the $69 introductory offer and I am LOVING it! I am new to pole dancing and was very nervous about coming and taking classes in case the teachers/students were judgemental, rude etc but my fears were unfounded!
Beautiful facility, extremely welcoming and helpful staff and the two classes I've taken so far have been really fun, challenging and a great workout! Wendy Lee is a star teacher and I LOOVVEEEDD her Sexy Basics Class! I have done Floor Work before so was worried it would get repetitive but she had moves for everyone.
This is my new favourite place to train!

The girls up front really know how to make you feel UNwelcome.

I’ve been here a few times and, except for the tall girl who works up front, everybody who works up front is rude and not very helpful. Maybe I should apply for a job here so I can get some free classes and treat customers like their business means nothing to me and get PAID FOR IT!

The first time, a girl with curly hair was hesitant to let me take a class because she said it was full. She offered a class an hour later but I told her I was there now for that specific class. She said maybe she’ll let me in if someone doesn’t show up because they’re late. After multiple times of asking why I can’t take the class she finally let me in, she left and came back to join the class HERSELF. Okkk so it was full so YOU could take it...

THEN I come back for another class( I’m new to LA) and got lost and was running a little late and they wouldn’t let me in! All the girl upfront did was hand me a card with their late policy on there, which is only 5 min??? Way to have any wiggle room for mistakes For SOME customers..... I guess I have to be VIP here to count

I took sexy basics with Celina Huang Tuesday evening 8:15 pm, which is a perfect time for me since I work during the day. I was extremely anxious when I arrived, but within minutes of me being able watch the class end right before basics begun, I saw how comfortable and nice the instructors are. I haven't left this excited from a dance class in a long time. Celina is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She made everyone feel challenged and checked in whenever necessary. I'd go back again in a heartbeat.

Pole dance studio of the pole goddesses! Claudia Renée is a master of pole art - her movements are fluid and fabulous! I took an intermediate/advanced poleography class from her and thought I was going to die! But it left me wanting more and wishing I could be at the studio everyday. All the girls here are amazing and supportive. Everyone has to start somewhere right? However, next time I will not be starting at the advanced poleography class 😂

Worst experience ever. Very rude staff, unhelpful management, emotional shock.
It was my first time purchase and I didn't know about the '5min late rule', that you can't come in if you 5min late. So I was late 7min because it's very hard to find parking near by and the host Brenda treated me very rude and aggressive. I've tried to explain her about parking and that I didn't get email (figured out later it was in 'spam'), but she couldn't care less and just closed the door in front of my face!!! Even though I bought 2 classes at 7pm and 8pm.
I asked to speak with management but it's impossible in that place. Management doesn't speak with customers. You can only email them.
And even that way management was unhelpful and useless. They told me I can come to another class I've asked money beck though
Of course I will not come to your place anymore because I respect myself. I'm still waiting my money back for 2 classes.
Ps. These people ruined my mood and my day.

If anybody has the same problems I would love to cooperate to sue them, it's definitely a fraud not to let people in and not to return money. At least they should provide with the ‘rules’ before the purchase.
