Instructor Mae was very helpful as it was my first time doing BODYROK and one of the first times I’ve used a reformer. She was super positive and encouraging.

Kristina was great! I loved her energy throughout class. She explained everything very well and kept encouraging us. I appreciated the difficulty of the class to push myself to keep going and test my strength. I also enjoyed how we worked our full body and mixed it up throughout class.

Pilates reformer can be expensive, but if you are going to spend the money on exercise this is the studio! The staff is great and you really get a great workout. I’m sore after every class and I go twice a week.

I've been attending BodyRok San Mateo 3-5 times a week for the past 4 months and absolutely love it! The classes are always challenging, never the same class sequence twice, and I've seen noticeble iimprovements in my strength, stamina, and overall tone. The instructors are amazing -motivating, knowledgeable and bring great energy to every class. My 24yr old son has also attended class and loved it as well!
Highly recommend!

Great studio, always clean, with convenient class times from early mornings to late evenings. Most instructors are fantastic - some are more hands-on and motivating when it comes to correcting form, which makes a big difference. Overall, an awesome place to get in a solid workout.

Gaucha is an incredible instructor! She brings so much energy to every class, making even the toughest workouts feel fun and motivating. I’m still easing back into working out harder since I had a baby and she has a way of pushing you just past your comfort zone while being supportive. You can tell she genuinely cares about her students’ progress. Her passion is contagious, and she creates an environment where you feel encouraged to challenge yourself. I always leave her class feeling stronger, more confident. Highly recommend!

Love coming here! The instructors are amazing — super motivating and knowledgeable — and I always leave feeling like I got a great workout. The facilities are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, which is a huge plus compared to some other studios in the Bay. Highly recommend!

Bodyrok is a really great Pilates studio! I’ve tried different companies but what stands about this specific studio is that it is always clean, staff are friendly, and there are a lot of different classes to choose from making it easy to fit into my schedule.

I love BODRYOK, and this studio in particular! I have been to a few of the studios in San Francisco, and the workouts are always great. The San Mateo location is the best! I love Gaucha's classes. But really each class I've been to, the instructor has been great. And it is one of the best workouts to feel like you are gaining strength and hitting each muscle.

Love BodyRok San Mateo!!! The staff is super friendly and helpful, the classes are challenging, and the studio is always clean and welcoming. My favorite classes are with Gaucha, but you honestly can’t go wrong with any instructor. They always have monthly challenges and promos that make coming to class fun and engaging.

Started off as a Classpass user, but ended up loving the studio so much I signed up for the unlimited pass! The energy in every class I’ve joined has been amazing, each instructor is definitely different in a good way. Excited to continue taking more classes at this studio.

This review is on the experience with the studio/ manager/ client service - terrible. It's like talking to a tree. I'm a ClassPass holder, FYI. The very first time I went to the class, I was there maybe 2-5 minutes before the class started, and (maybe it was) the manager would not let me in. I've taken reformer/ pilate before, I have eyes, I can watch others and pick up the moves. Now, I know THE RULE is that I needed to be there 10 - 15 minutes before, but her inflexibility was so firm and she just refused to let me in. I then asked if it's ok for her to not mark me missing so ClassPass would not charge me a fee, again, the response was no. I still gave them the benefit of the doubt and attended many classes after the initial experience, I was never late and I gave great reviews on ClassPass to the classes and instructors. Then it happened again. Yesterday I just couldn't make it to a class due to a last minute personal reason. So 20 min into the class, I tried to call. The automated voicemail asked me to email instead so I did, explaining why I couldn't make it, asking them to give me this pass, take the credits but not mark me missing. Of course, the answer was no. I replied to that useless email, basically telling them that I know for a fact that they CAN help me unless they're just dying to get the $14 fee or split it with ClassPass (who knows how it works). Nope. No can do.

I know that they'll argue that it's me who broke THE RULES, but the inflexibility of being understanding of their clients made me feel valueless. I did enjoy the classes, and their instructors are good, so if you continue to go, remember not to break THE RULES. I thought about joining Bodyrock SM aside from using ClassPass, but after yesterday, I canceled all my future reservations with them on ClassPass. I may go to Bodyrok SF or south bay and even Westcore in SM, but not Bodyrok SM.

I started taking classes at Bodyrok three months ago after having a baby last year, and it has been the perfect way to regain strength, tone up, and rebuild my fitness. The workouts are challenging yet energizing, pushing me in the best way possible while still being adaptable to my postpartum journey.

The instructors are fantastic—motivating, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer modifications when needed. They take the time to ensure you’re using proper form, which has helped me feel stronger and more confident in every class. The front desk staff is also super welcoming and ready with a smile at 0630 in the morning.

Highly recommend Bodyrok —whether you’re postpartum like me or just looking for a killer Pilates workout.

The Bodyrok San Mateo studio is spacious and clean! I’ve tried multiple instructors, but one of my favorites is Denise. She is encouraging and is good with her demonstrations. I like that they post the schedule on their Instagram so you can add variety to your routine.

I’ve been going to San Mateo BodyROK for about four months and I love it. It’s a tough workout but I’ve definitely gotten stronger in a short amount of time. I was familiar with Pilates when I started, but this is like next level Pilates. I was a bit intimidated at first, but the instructors are great about giving good cues and modifications. The front desk people are super friendly and helpful. Depending on what time you go, parking can be tricky so leave yourself enough time to find a spot.

I joined as a Founding Member when it opened. After 3 kids, I really wanted to get back into shape, as I used to go to Pilates ProWorks in SF back in the day. I've tried pretty much every Pilates studio in the San Mateo & Burlingame area and BodyRok is at the top of the list. Really solid workouts, great instructors, lots of class times and finally an affordable option for those who are aiming to go 4-5 days/week. For about 8 months I did other Pilates studios and for the last 5 months of BodyRok, I'm seeing noticeable differences in my strength and body. Much more noticeable change compared to the other studios I was going to just as consistently. Great workouts and great energy!

Extremely frustrating and upsetting experience. As a busy working mom of a baby, you know how hard it is to get out of the house and get to a workout. I have been waiting to try this studio for a long time and finally got a reservation for a time that worked for my schedule. I arrived at 11:56am and was told that because I didn’t arrive at 11:55am for the demo I wouldn’t be allowed to attend the class. They didn’t care that I took time off work or paid for parking to attend. They didn’t care that I am already experienced with Pilates and could’ve signed the waiver in the minute it took for them to deny me entry. I saw my name on the class list and clearly there was already a reformer reserved for me. Was just told to contact ClassPass for a class refund. As someone who attends classes at RockSalt, CorePower Yoga, Orange Theory, and F45 I have never ever in my life received this kind of treatment from a fitness studio. It’s saddening and maddening that a studio can be so elitist and exclusive that a minute late can result in a denial of entry.

Met them at Burlingame farmers market and I’m excited to be new to the area “again”. Born and raised in the bay but left for 20years! Spent now I’m back and ready to lose the fat! Well ready to workout as the food is so good it all is a balance! First class is free and the ladies were so nice! I will be updating soon!
