Awesome gym, they’ve got all the equipment you need. I mostly do boxing on the third floor with coach Jonah. The sessions are all about improving striking technique, learning combos, and most importantly putting everything into practice. Training goes by the formula: theory + practice. The gym itself is in great shape and the vibe with everyone is super friendly and welcoming. There’s all the gear you need for working on your punches. Big shoutout to coach Jonah, he’s young, talented, and really knows how to teach.

For the past 6 months I have been taking group classes at Boxing on the BLVD, along with 1/2 hour private sessions with coach Ian. Ian and his partner coach Jonah have gotten me in to great shape. I have lost 25lbs in the past 6 months, and I am currently getting ready for my first master tournament. They are both great coaches, and treat everyone as a valued member. I highly recommend Boxing on the BLVD.

This gym has a great environment for growth.
I've been a member since June and Im glad I took a opportunity to make this happen for myself! The coaches give classes 7 days a week
Which gives ample chances get better in technique or just get in better shape!
The coaches are patient with the beginners and they will challenge the students whom are advanced. The coaches always give great advice whenever I feel lost..... Ultimately, I believe that the coaches and this gym can provide you the tools that you need get you to get better!

Don’t be fooled by the bald head — Ian, the coach, is a silver fox in the ring. In his 60s and sharper than most trainers half his age, he brings not just skill but soul to every session.

Ian doesn’t just bark combos at you. He takes the time to get to know who you are — not just your stance or reach, but the person inside the gloves. He tailors each session to your strengths while patiently helping you shore up your weaknesses. For a taller guy like me, that meant tightening up my inside game (read: getting roughed up and learning to love it).

He teaches technique like a craftsman, but still lets you have fun with a good ol’ bully brawl when the moment calls for it. Every round feels like a mix of therapy, chess, and Rocky montage.

Whether you’re new to boxing or just looking to sharpen your edge, Ian’s gym is where precision meets personality. You’ll leave a little tougher, a little wiser, and a whole lot sweatier — in the best way possible.

This is my gym now. I came in November looking for an open gym membership and this is the place for me and for anyone. Shoutout to Zane, Ian, Luis, Chris, and Jonah for always guiding and coaching me whenever I’m in!

Excellent l! In the middle as far as perfect go's....well past not just taking my word for it. Focused on competitive sparring in full contact fine tuning.

A fail proof method for offensive and defensive conditioning and mastering timing that's efficient as well as multi-traing preparation.

A lot of desired training is sought elsewhere but it's all right here.

This place is the most friendly and least intimidating boxing gym I've ever been to. I spent a few weeks training with Ian and it's been a great experience so far. He works you HARD but is very caring, always conscious to push you as hard as possible but never beyond. I'm a beginner but have seen some really good boxers in this gym so trust it does the job whatever your level. Whether you're learning to fight or just want a great workout, Boxing On The Boulevard ticks all the boxes in a way that is never scary and always feels welcoming.

Great gym. lan and his crew are very professional, and the fees are reasonable. I highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for a traditional boxing gym without the gimmicks or high costs of some of the celebrity style gyms that LA is littered with.

I trained here with Terry from 2015-2019. Sadly Terry passed away this year, but I recently went back to work with Ian, the new owner, and it is the same exact feeling -- fun, inviting, accessible. A super welcoming gym where you learn to *legit* box. I'm a woman and I love it here -- none of that macho, aggro b.s. that you can find in gyms or crossfit sometimes. I love training with Ian and hitting the bags -- I get out some anger AND it's an incredible workout! I leave dripping sweat.

If you're looking for a pro gym to help you prepare for your next title bout, keep looking. But if you want a great workout based on the sweet science of boxing, this is the place!

Terry has a talent for teaching boxing to anyone, including a guy with two left feet, like me. His training style is fun and friendly, but he's also serious about making sure that I learn good technique. The usual one-hour training session hits the core skills and all of the equipment: first, a warm up with the trampoline or jump rope; then, shadow-boxing; then, on to the focus pads, heavy bag, double-end bag and speed bag. Once a week, we'll actually step into the ring for 5-6 rounds of instructional sparring!

The bottom line: all this punching has helped me lose 25 pounds in about 4 months. I am in better shape at 45 years old than I was at 25. The best part is that it's really a lot of fun! Thanks, Terry. See you in the ring!
