About the Club

Contemplative Sac is the home of Contemplative Practice Yoga®, a gentle, integrative, therapeutically oriented Yoga.
Our 90-minute classes include guided awareness, breathwork and gentle supported poses. Using Yoga blankets, you will decompress and unravel tension in your body with a corollary benefit of relieving stress and increasing flexibility and balance.

A Hidden Gem for Mindful Movement and Inner Peace 🌿✨
I have come to several classes here. In my experiences I have found Contemplative Sac-Gentle Yoga to be a place of deep listening and authentic presence. The approach here is gentle, intentional, and rooted in mindfulness. Each session invites you to slow down, connect with your breath, and notice what’s happening in your body through small gentle movements. There is something profoundly healing about the way classes are guided. Every class feels like a moving meditation. In our busy, fast past world Anna-Marie's classes provide an opportunity to step away, slow down, and return to yourself. If you're seeking a yoga experience that nourishes the soul as much as the body, this is the place.

I have been struggling for almost 3 years with severe pelvic floor pain. I have been shuffled from Urology, to Pain Management, to Pelvic Floor PT and most recently to Gynecology only to have more questions than answers to how to get relief. , I was introduced to Anna-Marie Stouder and her Contemplative Yoga Studio and have nothing but praise for her.

I cannot say enough about Anna-Marie and the yoga program she offers. I have had a difficult history of trauma and have had a lifetime of carrying that pain in my body. I have never had a very good relationship with my body and have felt disconnected from myself. When I began to work with her, both in private yoga therapy sessions and yoga classes I wasn't sure I would be able to relax and be still enough to find help. Now after less than a month I have begun to feel a difference in my body and have actually relaxed enough in class to drift off. My restless leg has begun to slow down enough that others have commented on the difference. As I continue to learn from her about how to be aware of my breath and soften my muscles, I am better able to notice tension in my body and use techniques to release it.
Anna-Marie has a very deep spiritual presence and can make you feel calm and centered just being in class. I feel blessed to have found her and her contemplative yoga studio.

My therapy with Anna-Marie at Contemplative Sac-Gentle Yoga is nothing short of a miracle. After attending my first class, by invitation from a friend, I shared with Anna-Marie the discomfort of increasing symptoms of Restless Leg Syndrome. She suggested a 3-day intensive session and training for a home practice. After three weeks of home practice my RLS has diminished dramatically, and I do believe it will be cured completely with continued home practice and in-class followups. Thank you Anna-Marie for giving me evenings of reading back.

Anna-Marie is a skilled teacher. She is welcoming and knowledgeable. Her classes help me relax and help my back feel better. I am looser and have better range of motion which translates into a freer swing on the golf course. Not nearly as tight.
