I had a personal training session with Esteban Zaragoza and he was fantastic. He asked what my goals are and devised a 3 month plan for me to reach them. I have a diagnosis of osteoporosis and I could tell he understood the assignment and got me going right away. His method of teaching and demonstrating proper form and explaining to me what areas I must improve (ankles and glutes) was clear and helpful and his great attitude inspired me to improve. I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to work with a personal trainer.

This is a good location! Easy parking, lots of well maintained equipment, nice and clean locker rooms and shower areas, and sauna. The staff was very helpful! I'd give it 4 stars, but the last star is more so due to Crunch's company, which I'll explain below.

If you're a non-resident visiting, and you have the top tier membership that allows you to go to multiple locations, PLEASE NOTE that this does not apply to this location. I signed up in Florida, and upgraded before leaving, and I made sure to ask if I'd be able to go to out of state locations with no issues. I was told I would. Now when I got to Crunch, I was given some grace, and the first day pass was free since I'm still a member. I was told it would be $10 a day after that. It's $25/day pass if you aren't a member at all. I wish Crunch would communicate that in their training of employees so that ppl aren't blindsided when they upgrade and try to go to Cali locations.

They are not crunch fitness and won't take the crunch membership they should just rename it something else they want to charge more if you are already a crunch member.

I have the highest all-inclusive Crunch membership (the “Peak Results” plan) that allows me to use every location. I’ve used it in multiple cities, even internationally in Montreal, Canada, without any issue.

While visiting Burbank, I drove 30 minutes out of my way on vacation to get a workout, only to be told at the front desk that this is a “Signature” location and I’d have to pay $10 extra to enter. This was the first time I’ve ever heard of a “Signature” restriction — it’s not clearly mentioned on Crunch’s app, website, or Google listing.

On top of that, the front desk staff (a younger woman) was very dry and unfriendly. She cut me off when I tried to explain my membership, wouldn’t listen, and repeated that I had to pay $10. No courtesy, no explanation, no option for a one-time complimentary pass since it was my first visit — just a flat “pay or leave.”

I ended up walking away frustrated. If Crunch is going to have “Signature” locations excluded from the all-inclusive package, that needs to be clearly stated up front. And customer service should absolutely be friendlier and more understanding in situations like this.

⚠️ Travelers, be aware: If you’re visiting this Burbank Crunch location, even with the top-tier membership, they will charge you extra.

This used to be a genuinely nice and welcoming place, but everything changed after the new management took over. What once felt warm and inviting has become cold and unwelcoming. The atmosphere is completely different now, and it’s disappointing to see how much the experience has declined.

Tried to see if the gym was right for me and put applications in area to move from LA to Burbank. Got refused to a one day guest pass because I wasn’t local even though I was trying to move in the area. Never known a gym to be difficult. Will not be joining this gym.

In 3 years my membership has gone from 56ish to 62 now to 72.98. Soon to be equinox price with less than half the square footage of equipment. Place use to be better when I first started here. Price is only a factor when it doesn't equal the same value as before. I also have a membership for the rest of the other crunch gyms in Socal and a MetroPlex one so its just easy for me to see the value in comparison. 8/5/25 NOW WE ARE FORCED TO DOWNLOAD The app to get access to the gym. The pictures they have on file is not enough at the same time we are providing them with a download from the app store which ultimately benefits the app creator at the cost of my phones memory

This Crunch is everything I need and more. Never crowded in the morning, friendly staff, plenty of towels, clean showers and locker room, convenient location, plenty of equipment and free weights, and well maintained. Good vibes too from other regulars. I just needed somewhere on my way to work to get my workout in with nothing or no one getting in the way of that and this place hits the spot. I sometimes go to a non-signature Crunch closer to my house and there's definitely a noticeable difference between the two.

I was using this gym for over a week and it was an amazing experience.
Every single person at the front desk was kind, vibrant and accommodating. The gym had every machine I could ask for, it is very specious with a super dope spinning room and a huge studio for classes / personal use. The gym is well maintained, very clean, and the sauna is crazy hot which was absolute heaven for my sore body.
Anatolio is a sweetheart and very knowledgeable trainer and the manager is awesome as well

If you have a membership at another crunch location don’t go here, they charge 10$ per visit if you have a membership at a franchise location. Also, they are severely lacking in available weight equipments, they only have two squat racks and no deadlift platforms. They do have a decent amount of dumbbell free weights and upper body machines. What they lack in weight lifting equipment they make up for with amenities; they do have a sauna with complimentary towels and their locker rooms are clean and nice. Overall, ideal location for the casual part time lifter, not really for gym rats or the younger crowd

While visiting Burbank, I needed a solid gym to get a few workouts in, and Crunch Fitness exceeded my expectations. They provided a complimentary 3-day pass, which was a great perk. The gym itself is spacious, clean, and packed with a wide range of well-maintained equipment. The staff was welcoming and professional, making the experience even better. Whether you’re in town temporarily or looking for a reliable gym in the area, this is definitely a great place to train.

I am a regular crunch member with Florida being my home club. I pay 10$ when I go to signature locations like Burbank and West Hollywood. Crunch locations don’t have a tap feature so I can’t pay with my phone. I attempted to go back to my car to grab my physical card and couldn’t get to my car because a bunch of police officers were two cars away from mine with their guns drawn at a driver. I quickly got away from the scene and went back upstairs and told them police had guns drawn and that I didn’t feel comfortable grabbing my card in that moment and asked if I could please work out and grab my card after my workout after the cops leave. They made it the biggest deal and said they weren’t allowed to do that. I asked if I could use the restroom before leaving at least after wasting 10-15 mins trying to see if any other pay option was available without my physical card and even that was an issue. You would think I was trying to gain access to some classified high security facility with how they were acting. As if they don’t have all of my information right there….. it’s a gym, it’s 10$ and I was trying to pay but god forbid I don’t want to get into my car with cops and guns drawn two cars away…. Absolutely ridiculous. It’s not that serious, it’s a gym….. with towel service, nothing special from basic crunch facilities. Get over yourselves and try being better at being decent human beings.

Alone, and afraid of losing their gains, 4 gym bros found themselves 2,500 miles away from the Florida gym they called home. They desperately called around searching for a gym that would adopt them on their 3 day pilgrimage through SoCal, until finally one gym responded to their pleas.

Crunch Fitness Burbank was that GYM

The travelers were met with heavy weights that lightened the anguish of their heavy hearts. The staff was kind, the weights plentiful, the squat racks abundant, and the facilities immaculate. (this was written by me not written by chat GPT)

I was visiting from out of town and needed a place to work out, and Crunch Fitness Burbank did not disappoint! They generously provided a free 3-day pass, which was a huge plus. The gym itself was very clean, well-maintained, and had a great selection of equipment. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. If you’re looking for a solid gym in the area—whether you’re local or just passing through—this is definitely a great spot to check out!

Could be a better gym, but it’s full of high schoolers and recent high graduates, who just come here to socialize and hog space and machines.

Imagine 5 high schoolers standing next to you, not even working out, just making jokes and getting in the way.

There’s two girls that come here often and they don’t work out. They just do stupid stuff with the weights and mess things up and joke around with the regulars.

Just tried to sign my friend up with a membership and the poor receptionist behind the counter, had to go to the manager who was laying down in the corner to talk to her and come back to tell us to have a seat that they would be back in an hour. Seems weird we would have to beg to sign up for a membership… The guy next to us was trying to sign up for a membership too and was told the same thing and he asked if he could use the bathroom and he was told to go use the bathroom downstairs in the bookstore! So insane

Studio manager made me feel unwelcomed - I attended this gym once before on ClassPass (which I recently cancelled). Now having a new set of goals I wanted to join a gym. I was targeted with a social media ad for an 3 day pass and remember I enjoyed my time at Crunch so I decided I’d give it a go! When I arrived I entered no problem (the front desk was lovely) and enjoyed my workout. Excited to go back the next day and see how to redeem my next two days I was told I’d be emailed. Very disappointed, the email basically said since I was a “ClassPass user” my options are to use classpass again or buy a drop in. Okay but I canceled my classpass so now I’m blacklisted to only buying drops in? I have left classpass and it’s very clear I am still not welcomed here. Your studio manager doesn’t care about the clients goals or needs.

If you’re looking for a fitness experience paired with a side of unprofessionalism, this might be the spot for you. My boyfriend and I stopped by this location, where he has a premium membership with a guest pass. While I completely understand that certain plans may not work at “signature” locations, the way this situation was handled was nothing short of disappointing—and frankly, uncalled for.

We were being helped by a lovely blonde associate at the front desk who was doing her best to assist us. Enter the manager—a larger Black gentleman—who barreled into the conversation, completely cutting her off and talking to us like we had no idea what we were doing. Instead of explaining the policies like a professional, he chose to flex his “signature location superiority” by informing us (in the most condescending tone possible) that this location is “so much better” and that we “don’t understand anything.”

Here’s the thing: enforcing rules is one thing, but doing it with an attitude that screams arrogance is another. Not only did he make us feel unwelcome, but he also disrespected his own staff by interrupting and undermining her efforts. If this is what “signature” customer service looks like, I think I’ll pass.

A word of advice: kindness costs nothing, and a little professionalism can go a long way. Maybe that’s the real premium this location should focus on offering.

After being a loyal member at this specific Crunch location for eight years, I have decided to cancel my membership due to an incredibly disappointing experience. Recently, I reached out to the general manager to express my valid concerns about the consistent annual increases to my monthly rate--$10 more each year, despite my long-standing loyalty. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, the manager responded in a hostile, disrespectful, and condescending manner, making it clear that my loyalty meant nothing to them and that the rate would remain unchanged.

My monthly rate had risen to $70, only for me to discover that new members were being offered prices as low as $30 to $50 a month. Is this how you treat a customer who has been loyal to your establishment for years? Rather than rewarding long-term members, it seems this location is more interested in attracting new members while disregarding the ones who have supported them over time.

During our conversation, the manager repeatedly cut me off, was confrontational, and showed a complete lack of customer service skills. This location desperately needs a manager who can handle customer concerns with professionalism and respect, rather than becoming defensive and hostile.

I will be reaching out to the regional manager at Crunch headquarters to file a complaint against this location and specifically against this manager. Take your business to an establishment that actually values loyalty instead of treating you like garbage. Believe the low reviews--they're there for a reason.

I really didn't want to write this review but I feel like it's finally time I give my thoughts. For the 2nd half of July the men's sauna was closed for "misuse of the sauna" when it seemed it was working. For the past week or so the sauna has been on but closed for some reason and it seems this gym is punishing its members for no reason. I was told on Monday July 29th that the sauna was opening on August 1st and I find it strange why they're waiting till then when every time I past by it the week prior it was on but closed which seems like a waste of time. Come August 1st it's working and it's actually hot like it used to be and I have no complaints. Come Friday August 2nd the next day it's closed again for vandalism.......... I really don't know what's going on but ever since the management has changed I've been noticing the men's sauna hasn't been the same as before and has been closed a lot. I really don't understand what message they're trying to put by having the men's sauna while it's still on but it's closed for vandalism for the safety of the members.

This gym has been going downhill fast recently. Long time member and they show no loyalty. New signups get a cheap rate while my membership goes up $5/year so I'm closer to $70/month at this point. They used to have amazing plate loaded StarTrac machines and now they have hand me down hammer strength machines from different locations. The men's sauna used to be amazing but ever since the new manager came in it's been out of service or barely even warm. Not worth it.

generally have a good experience here and come here about once a week on classpass. i’m never late but i was late due to an emergency phone call for my “gym time” which is a two hour slot in the open gym. i explained my reasoning, the 30 minute drive to get there and that i only intended to be there for an hour anyway and the front desk still coldly turned me away. i had talked to them about joining on a previous visit as i have just moved to the area recently and was in process of finding the right gym for me via classpass. i definitely understand policy but i’ve been a member at crunch since 2012 in new york. the next time slot on classpass was the same amount of credits, the gym wasn’t busy so i was really upset by this as it just seemed like there was no working with me at all and honestly, he seemed almost happy to turn me away which just left a bad taste in my mouth. definitely won’t be joining nor going to this location again.

Drove a long way to come to this gym just to be told I have to pay an additional $10 because it’s considered a “premium” gym and not part of my membership. I thought my membership covered any crunch location but apparently not this one? Front desk worker tried to send me to the Van Nuys location which would’ve been an extra 30 minute drive. After being told this ridiculous policy I asked to use the restroom since I had a long drive, and the front desk worker was waiting for me to make sure I either paid or left. Terrible experience at this location, very disappointed as a loyal crunch member of 4 years.

I love this location. If you're looking for a clean and friendly environment, this place is perfect for you. It has everything you need in a gym, and the staff at the location is nice. The issue I had was with customer service via email, which was pretty horrible, to say the least.

I became a member because this location is considered a 'corporate' version of the franchise, and I was under the impression that they cater to the needs of those who travel frequently for work or other related reasons.

I was away for 9 months and had a terrible experience attempting to keep my membership frozen while I was out of the country. Apparently, there are limitations on how long you can keep your account frozen, even though there's a cost to keep a freeze in place, and the yearly subscription costs are still debited on its regularly due schedule.

I requested two back-to-back 3-month freezes and forgot to email prior to the end of my freeze period, which resulted in a charge for a normal monthly fee. I had no issues with the charge since I did forget to email the location. When I requested a freeze again, I was told that they couldn't freeze the account anymore since there was no activity on it. I emailed Heather and the location's main email and asked if the service charge that hit my account after the 6-month period would be considered activity. They went silent after that point, even after emailing several times.

It's quite disappointing to say the least, but this location is still a great option if you're staying permanently in the area. If you're a working professional that travels frequently, I would highly suggest searching for other options because this franchise doesn't offer acceptable email customer service and is limited in how long you can keep your account frozen.

This is a nice gym with nice people. My only complaint is that they play the news full time on tons of big screen TVs. It absolutely sucks to workout while being force fed stabbings, shootings, war, and political turmoil. I come to the gym to clear my mind and get away from all that stuff. I would strongly encourage gym management to put something else on: nature shows, classic Friends episodes, really anything else than the horrendous news.

I got into this gym a couple of months ago. I always wanted to be part of this gym because there was something about it that attracted me towards it. I ended up finding out why when I got there. This is not your typical gym where you go there and some have cliques, their usual banter or inconveniences, drama, uncleanliness, and the like.

Crunch Fitness Burbank is amazing.

People here are super friendly and down to earth. They are approachable and kind. Personal trainers and staff are good people and always treat guests and gym members with respect and fairness. There is never a day I am hesitant to go to the gym and the reason is that I am comfortable enough to show up.

There is never an aura of judgement in the air inside the gym, instead it is one big community that is sincerely kind to one another and wanting to improve each and everyday. I am glad I made my decision to be part of this gym.

Current member of Crunch Fitness at another location with supposed upgraded membership to include other clubs nationwide, turns out Burbank is exempt a special regarding this according to them, they still want $10 for a day pass.. to add insult to injury I signed up for the 3 day pass at the Burbank location before walking the mile down because I read early reviews of them being difficult, was emailed approval for a 3 day pass only to be told by the front desk that she still couldn’t allow it because there wasn’t anyone there to approve it,, Should probably consider changing your name if your not actually going to include yourself with the rest of the Crunch Fitness facility’s,,

The Service: I The staffs at the front desk were very friendly. It was my first time visiting the gym, they were so kind to direct me to the right place.

The Group Class: I found this gym through Classpass. I was taking Barre Bootcamp class this time. The instructor has good sense of humor. She really pushed & motivated us to keep going.

However, I would only give the content of the class (45 minutes).... 3 stars. The upper body & ab exercise were just so-so. But the lower body workout using the barre..... OMG! Really good! I felt the burn!!

The Parking: Parking structure in the building (free!) The gym is located right above Barnes & Nobles.

Burbank crunch as I was explained is a franchise that will charge you $10.00 per day if you didn't get your membership on their location. even if you have the peak plan, which supposedly includes all crunch gyms. Not a great feature for any gym when people have already paid their year to year and monthly plans. Not sure who's lying, at any rate this excludes their location from any other offers you were given anywhere else.

I called to cancel the gym and it took them a week to respond. I have been a member since 12/2021 and paid their initiation fees plus last month's membership. When the cancelation went through, they charged me an annual membership of $79. The front desk rep said it is an annual fee charged at random every year. Mine happen to be 4 days after canceling my membership. It is not refundable according to them.
Be aware that fees are not transparent and you will end up paying hidden costs if you are only with them for a short time. I was considering going crunch in Santa Clarita but I will stay away from them from now on.

So many people work out with their noses out or masks completely down/ off. I’ve seen trainers who are on the clock working with their clients with their own masks off. None of the employees do anything even when they see people not practicing safe protocol. The alcohol and wipes for the machines are also almost always empty, so its difficult to wipe down machines before/ after use. This gym is too popular and crowded to be lax on COVID protocol. I do not feel safe there except when it’s empty and there are very few low traffic moments.

Gym is usually on top of things but lately I see more and more members not wearing masks, not wearing masks properly, and no staff cleaning the machines as often as they should. I have not seen any staff members walking around to make sure people are adhering to Covid safety protocols. Going to take a month off due to this surge and due to the management not caring enough about members health to make sure masks are worn.

In general, the place has everything you need, including a sauna, which is a huge bonus. Even moreso, my rating is definitely skewed because I go for free through my ClassPass from work. That being said, it is a little small as far as gyms go, so I could see it getting a little crowded in there during rush times. I am able to go midday and don't have to worry about that.

I’ve been going to crunch for years living in Reno NV . I moved to Burbank exited to go to what I felt like a home gym for me.. the moment I walked in there I felt not welcomed very pushed away .. the equipment was -ok- the treadmill felt like it was going to fall apart. .. sad to say my crunch days are over because of the experience . The only thing that separates you from the competition is a type of service you get.

Jenae had an attitude, was rude and incompetent regarding my membership. I have the highest level membership here and she was telling me I would be charged $10 to enter the gym and $16 for my guest. How about no. I did not encounter any issues going to WeHo Crunch and shouldn’t here either. Management needs to retrain her.

Beware. Shady tactics. Near impossible to cancel membership. Fraudulent.

I’ve been a member for years and enjoyed the gym and staff in that time. Recently, I’ve been trying to cancel my membership, as I moved from the location. It’s going on 2 months of me trying to accomplish this task.

The corporate site does not return cancelation requests, and the gym manager purposely ignores them. I’ve left countless messages for Sheena, the operations manager, who refuses to take or return my calls or emails. I’ve reported them as fraud to my credit card company and reported to the BBB.

Do yourself a favor and save the headache of this place.

I really liked the gym when I signed up and did go there for some time. When plans changed and I decided to cancel my membership, I stopped by Crunch in Burbank and asked an associate to cancel my membership. They did their thing in the computer and told me I could still attend the rest of the month.

The following month my automatic withdrawals stopped and I thought that was it. More than a year later I suddenly noticed I had a charge from Crunch, I looked at previous months and saw they had started charging me 3 months prior.

When I called Crunch, they told me to email the Manager, which I did, and the manager's reply to me was to send proof of my cancellation or they would not refund.

Well, I don't have proof since I canceled my membership with an associate and trusted enough not to ask for documentation or some sort of proof of my request so no refund for me.

So as an advice to anyone who goes to Crunch fitness. If you decide to cancel your membership, make sure you obtain records or proof of your cancellation and keep that proof somewhere safe as they may start charging you again later in life and ask for a proof of cancellation in order to refund.

All and all, they lost my and my family's future business for a measly $120 or so, hope it was worth it for them.

Total fraud. They have the audacity to increase our monthly rate by $8 due to covid because they weren’t making enough money and had to close down a couple locations. Boo hoo cry me a river y’all still making millions. We are all struggling through this pandemic, and you guys charge an arm and a leg as it is for your petty location. If that extra $8 a month is what’s keeping you guys in business then you have a serious problem. I’m heading back to 24 hour fitness!

Even if you have the premium membership TO WORKOUT AT ALL LOCATIONS but don’t sign up at this location they will try to charge you an EXTRA $30-50 fee here for a day rate and the one on Sunset. They claim it’s due to these locations not being franchise, they just don’t tell you that when you sign up.

I mostly feel bad for their customers who pay 4x more for their membership at this location though. Especially since they have people working out in the parking garage. & no their location is not better in any way. In fact it’s much smaller than my home gym location. You’re spending more to be in Barnes and Noble.

I've been with this Gym for 6 years, referred dozens of people to it and they kept charging me in the MIDDLE of the pandemic when no one could even go to the gym. Sham of a shameful organization. No wonder the trainers and teachers quit ALL THE TIME. Every week for as long as I was there, there were a new batch of random people working there. The COO tried to write me this annoying "sorry but I can't help you, Stay healthy :)!" response. How insulting. Again, a multimillion dollar organization does this in the middle of a national crises. I will do everything I can to ensure that every person that I know does not become a member. SHAMEFUL.

EDIT Jan 2021: It got SO MUCH better. Almost everyone wears their mask properly now and I haven’t see the usual suspects who were clearly violating the rules in the past.

OG Post: The gym itself is great. But staff usually does not enforce / make sure that people are wearing their mask (not even talking about wearing it properly).
Been here since it opened up and I’m concerned about the covid situation, sometimes I can not avoid the busy hours and it makes me feel uncomfortable when people don’t wear mask / are nose free.
Staff almost never shows authority, which is das for all the people following the guidelines.

Well, what can I say? I'm still dealing with 3 frivolous charges against my credit card by Crunch after 3 months of attempted communication with them. Crunch is ignoring their customer's emails to manager, they are unwilling to help on the phone, and they are trying to substantiate their charges against me because of the terms of our contract. The problem with that is this: Crunch is unable to provide the services laid out in the contract, and they are purposefully ignoring communication from their customers. There is a global pandemic in the world, and the fact that they would rather play hardball than conduct business in a proper fashion is very appalling. I notified them that I no longer wish to be a member. It is immoral and illegal to steal from your customers! Good luck with the "customer isn't important" perspective. These are the thoughts that I will share when friends and family members ask me about my Crunch experience. Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT SIGN THE CONTRACT with Crunch - they are unprofessional and immoral.

Why do I have to pay to enter when I have a membership? I get it that they have other amenities, but don't care about that. I just wanted to get in a quick work out since I was near by at the time and get out. It is not worth paying $10 more to use the same equipment I would use elsewhere. If I went there for their other amenities, then I would pay, but that's not what I was there for so I why should I be force for to pay extra?

I’ve been a member, for a couple of years and it’s sad to see the slow deterioration of what was a top-notch gym. First the positives, great spa, bathroom and locker area are always clean, and the staff is pretty helpful and friendly. Now for the negatives. The treadmills in the front row closest to the counter aren’t in the greatest shape, some have loose pieces and they seem to be mis-calibrated because the speed is off on most of them. A few of the weight machines are also getting old, loose bolts, wobbly seats, and are just getting worn down. It takes a while for a machine that is out of order to eventually get fixed. There aren’t enough wipe dispensers to clean up after u use a machine, and they are often empty. Here’s a suggestion for the owner(I see u around every now and then) take the time to personally walk thru every machine with your staff and have them report if there are issues with any of them, do this on a monthly basis. Follow thru with staff if they are reporting issues with equipment and take their suggestions since they are on the front lines. Apathy is the enemy of any business. I hope to see more effort from owners/ managers.

When it comes to commercial gyms that have a little bit of everything, Crunch Fitness is probably the best in the Burbank/Glendale/NoHo. I regret so badly being convinced to leave here to try Equinox. I really don't have anything bad to say about Crunch.

Over the past few years (almost a decade) I've been a member of 24 Hour Fitness in Burbank and Glendale, Equinox Glendale, Burbank Athletic Club, Media Center Health Club, and Crunch Fitness Burbank.

The Gym:
At less 1/3 the price of Equinox Glendale, you practically have everything they have minus the scented towels. They have a large free weight area. During peak hours you might have to wait a little bit but in my experience not nearly as much as other commercial gyms. Before I left there were 2 squat racks, a deadlift area with a landmine, 3 flat benches for barbell bench press, and 1 of each decline and incline bench for your barbell needs. Other than 24 Hour Fitness in Burbank, that is a good amount of barbell stuff for a commercial gym. This is also probably the only commercial gym I know of that has a turf and a sled to push. I've only seen this at other speciality gyms. There are also more machines here than most of the gyms I've listed above and the layout is just overall more open better than most I've listed above.

The Amenities:
There is ample parking here. They have nice showers with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. There is a sauna in the guy's locker room (I haven't been in the women's one but I assume there is one as well). Their trainers have been really friendly and no one seemed overly aggressive to try to make their sales pitch. They will help out with form stuff if just ask.

The bottom line:
If you are starting to workout and you want a good commercial gym (not a speciality one for crossfit, powerlifting, mma, or barre), this is the best I've found in the Burbank/Glendale area. It has a little bit of everything you need for whichever fitness goal you want. There is also no contract clause locking you in for any specific amount of time. If your workout goals change and you want to join a different gym, they even prefer email. I don't see any reason not to join this gym.

The front desk staff is great. The gym mechanic is pretty efficient and keeps the machines and bikes in good working order. The only complaint I have is the gym mgr. She's not the brightest person. Nor is she patient and/or understanding to the member's issues. She doesn't take member's suggestions very well either. With a new gym mgr running this Crunch, it would be the best gym in Burbank.

Been a member since they opened. I love working out here. It's getting a bit crowded during peak hours, and I wish they had more of the most used free weight equipment, but what can you do. Clean facility, well maintained equipment, friendly staff, and mostly friendly members make for a good experience.

The only complaint is the membership fee. I get that one flat rate which provides all-inclusive access so you can attend any classes is a huge benefit for many, but I don't have any interest in the classes so feel like I'm paying more than I should have to. Would be better if they offered a reduced price for members that just want access to the equipment. On the flip side the higher cost probably keeps membership headcount lower but impossible to know. As the fee keeps going up each year it may get to the point where I look elsewhere to get a membership that feels more cost-effective for my needs.

This has been my gym for several years now. Even though it's a bit far from me, I chose it. I looked for quality and this was it. However, I never expected to be targeted by a head manager(trainer). The fifth time(of 4 occurences), I was approached by this individual in such an aggressive and hostile(with foul language) manner, I was completely shocked. This all stemmed from moving a wipe dispenser about 9 inches away. Yeah... Members move entire machines, at our gym. I made a complaint to the front desk, followed up by an official email, but nothing was done. I'm not sure why any professional business with such following would ever permit this behavior from it's employees? I would think it would be unacceptable(but it's obviously not). Following this vile and definitely unexpected incident, this revolting and poor excuse of a human, prances around the gym like nothing. To think that I experienced this negative instance at a gym, where you come to de-stress... I still gave it a 2 star only because I care dearly for the members and it's my gym. I always opted out of going to an LA Fitness/ 24 Hour Fitness, etc to avoid any filth like this, and well I came across it. Faithfully, things will have a positive turn around soon. I Also hope that in the near future Crunch begins to show their appreciation/solidity to their members and stops tolerating incompetent and unprofessional employees.
