I came into this gym for the first time yesterday and was greeted by the sweetest , most friendly staff ! I came from planet fitness so I was slightly intimidated when I signed up online but coming in person , everyone made me feel so comfortable . I was told about the trainer and how there was a promo going on so I signed up and met with him today . Christian was absolutely amazing ! He did a body scan with a machine they have and we went over my goals and discussed dieting and exercise . He showed me some work outs to help me and had me do them . He was very patient and supportive . Christian made me feel safe and comfortable while also motivating me and I think thatβs a huge deal when it comes to looking for a trainer . Christian taught me so much in a short time and the way he was very detailed with everything was truly amazing . I have looked up videos and still not been able to find info all together like the way that he taught me today . Highly recommend training with him ! Thank you all so much for making me feel happy and motivated again . I know that I made the right choice switching to this gym!

Pretty bad experience. Had me waiting for 2 hours for the head manager to be able to cancel membership. At the end he never came back from his break. Then a new receptionist came and told us we could cancel online. We didnβt the other guy tell us that from The beginning instead of making us wait for 2 hours. Also I really doubt he gets a 2 hour break just because heβs the general manager

I dont come into this location as much as I used to, but that's not to say anything bad. Its on the smaller side but for the most part they maintain their equipment. They dont have alot out of service at the same time. Its pretty good and that's considered I've gone to the one in long beach in bixby, cerritos, Norwalk, and garden grove. Parking can suck, and sometime people hog machines but otherwise I do recommend. I do go regularly for yoga now with Ed he specifically is so good and can say his dialogue during yoga always has me thinking and leaving more positively.

I just got set up on my membership today with Edgar the manager and honestly explained everything so clearly and he set me up with a training session to learn more about the equipment! He hooked it up with a few guest passes too so I can invite my family and friends to try out the gym too. Thanks Edgarπ

Good luck cancelling your membership. I have called, emailed and gone into this location twice and nobody will cancel my membership because apparently only (1) general manager has the ability to cancel but won't respond to email requests. I have reported this place to the BBB, and FTC. My boyfriend has been trying to cancel for 3 months and they keep charging him. This place is unbelievable.

The gym is clean, and has awesome staff. Theyβre friendly, helpful, and on top of their equipment. They have trainers available every day of the week, and have people cleaning the gym every day. I love this place, and recommend it to everyone

Have been coming to this location since june2024 and there's definitely been a great improvement. Always clean and if something is dirty, just mention it to the front desk and they're always on it. Never had an issue with a machine not being fixed within 48 hours. Staff is always nice on any question or concern you might have. Definitely recommend giving this location a try again if you haven't come in a hot minute.

The quality of this gym has gone so down hill it is literally disgusting. The bathrooms are filthy and the gym floor is an absolute mess. I understand that custodians do not show up until around 6am but does that mean if you go earlier than that you are subject to work out and use the restroom in filth? The platforms are so bad. If you want to deadlift, good luck getting the bar to not roll around on such messed up platforms. Someone can really hurt themselves that way. Mind you these are the same platforms that were outside in the brutal heat, rain and cold all during the pandemic. No touch ups or anything. And the prices still get raised? 50 dollars βmaintenanceβ fee yearly? Maintenance on what? Everything is messed up and broken all the time. Iβm surprised the gym still even has members.

Came in to crunch and I was in dire need of assistance since I am out of state, I asked the worker in the front named Fabian to with a middle part and asked him if he knew how to fix my alternator, he stepped up with no hesitation and had my car running in 30 mins. I've been trying to cancel my membership but they make it impossible. I moved more than an hour away and have tried going on weekends to cancel. But, they say you have to do it in person and with a manager present. Problem is, their manager's hours are Monday through Friday 9 am to 6 pm. How irresponsible is it to not have any managers present on weekends? I work Monday through Friday and I'd never be able to make those hours. I've tried emailing both the manager and the regional owner and have gotten no response. I was also misled by whomever opened my membership(I don't recall the name). They said I would only pay 25 a month. But, I've been charged 28.99 plus random 50 dollar charges multiple times a year! Stay away from this gym. All the bad rap of gyms being impossible to leave and their sales people screwing you over are well earned here.

I recently had a frustrating experience with Crunch Fitness in Lakewood. I needed to cancel my membership, and Casey, the manager, informed me over the phone that I had to come in person, show my ID, and sign a form. I ended up driving hours just to do this. When I arrived, Casey wasn't even there! To make matters worse, I found out I didn't need to sign a form or show my ID at all.
The entire trip was a complete waste of time. Casey was very rude on the phone, and this level of unprofessionalism and misinformation is unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

I have been going to this gym for the past two months. The gym has a good environment and friendly staff. The only issue is the cleaning wipes for the machines. They are constantly out of wipes and replace them with a rag and bottle to spray. The problem with this is everyone is using the same towels and I donβt feel it is sanitary as well as you have to wait for the cleaning supplies if someone else is using them. If the cleaning wipes were available more this gym would be 5 stars.

Canceled my membership 3 months ago and was given a receipt. Havenβt been charged until this month and now theyβre claiming I never canceled and are forcing me to come in person to correct their shady mistake. When I originally canceled they tried to talk me out of it which as a business to argue with your customer is crazy. They should have in their system that I havenβt paid in 3 months, and that I canceled. They literally let homeless people inside the gym to take showers where they don't even bother to cover themselves so some. I brought up the issue to the manager and it seems he already knows about it but doesn't care. They charge 84.99 yearly but monthly 34.99?
, so ridiculous. I tried cancelling with them and their late cancel is 15 and then they charge me another 10 dollars while charging me monthly and still charging me despite already cancelling with them. Don't become a member here if you don't want your money stolen from you.

I am utterly disappointed at the cancellation process. I have been an active and loyal member at this location for over a year. I just recently lost my job and unable to continue my membership. Management is unable to cancel memberships and I was told to speak to their third party billing company. The third party billing company tells me I can only cancel with management. There is a disconnect somewhere and in the meantime I continue to accrue past due payments and late fees. This does not make sense. No one can assist me. This is not the proper way to treat good standing patrons and long time supporters of the community. Very poor customer service standards and extremely dissatisfied with the communication and handling of procedures.

Listen up management, it's not the client's fault you all don't know how to do your job and schedule people accordingly. Also, as MANAGEMENT it's YOUR job to come in and cover a shift if an employee can't make it in. The District Manager needs to get this place under control, this isn't the first time. I ended up canceling and was still charged for years because they simply opened two accounts for me instead of upgrading me so when I cancelled my account I still had a second one active. Crunch of course does not want to take responsibility so I will be speaking with my bank to see how to get this money back. If I have to sue I will. Itβs not even about the money at this point just the principle of it. My friend has had a similar experience with crunch.

I live overseas and when I come back, I need a place to work out for one month. So I signed up here, explaining the situation, and their employee said, no problem you can come back before the month ends and cancel. Which I did. Later I'm told there's a 30 day cancellation notification period and so I'd have to pay for a second month.
So what the employee told me was wrong but the manager, Kasee, took no responsibility for not having trained their employee well. Or possibly he's well-trained and was trained to lie. Either scenario is ludicrous.
Not to mention that they won't receive any future business when I return semi annually.
Looking out beyond the next month, they lose out on my future business and they've created a lose/lose situation for both of us.

I've signed up twice. First time, classes were always full. Staff harassed me to sign with a trainer. Cancelation was difficult. Second time, employee lied and told me no annual fee and no contract. I was charged an annual fee and was told I had to pay monthly for my contract. After explaining my situation to a manager I was able to cancel. Prior to this, no one wanted to help me out.

Didnβt have high hopes to begin with since itβs open 24 hours.. but itβs insane how so many machines are broken. Not just a slight issue, but full on chunks are missing from a variety of them. Mostly all of the Hoist machines are missing their weight charts which defeats the purpose of tracking your workout if you do that. A fair amount of machines that are available are also broken. Such as the entire cushion youβre weighing your body down on wobbles to a point where youβre fighting to stay on while operating the machine. And unfortunately the air fresheners in the locker room make the room smell like kitty litter. I thought my home gym had some issues, but thankfully they fix their machines right away. This location really needs some help. Two stars because at least the guy at the front was kind. Otherwise it would be one star.

We stormed in ready to sue, we left with 2 memberships. Ed Laisuwan does an impeccable job as a District Manager . He is an incredible human being, this man help my tear eyed emotional mother from loosing it because she thought she was going to have to pay for her entire membership given she had just signed up and with only a month was to quit due to a lack of time. As we enter we were furious thinking all negative assumptions one can about a gym personnel. He not only honored what we had previously heard from an employee about the price per month and the cancellation process. Without hesitation, if you have an concerns, or problems, I urge you before canceling speak to ED! He is the best at what he does.

Water fountain has been clogged for over a year... other than that.. its not that bad. They have everything you need to get the job done. They normally fix broken machines pretty quickly..... update 5/18/22 10am... water fountain still pours as if clogged the warning lights have turned off no longer shows quality of the water they offer based of filter cleanliness. It has mold and mildew on the edges of where the water lands so It just might be lack of attention. Today I was particularly reprimanded by en employee who asked me a question while I was midset with headphones on and misunderstood my answer. He felt the need to come back around 10 mins later and point me out in front of the 2 girls he was training to let me know I never even used whatever he asked me originally. He literally stopped his path to tell me " you didn't even use that ππΎ" ... this guy has some nerve. I spoke with ED and advised him of what occurred but it seems as if he didn't care. Ed has been a regional for some time now I met hime over 3 or 4 years ago but im sure he doesnt recall. He helped with the openings oh the LB crunch ( Bixby Knolls area ) and I figured he would have more concern about an employee confronting a guest knowing we all have adrenaline pumping through out veins. He is lucky he didn't get slapped in the mouth with a weight. Definitely going to follow up on this. For this I will be dropping a star level to my review.

This gym is really affordable and during the coronavirus, the janitors keep the whole gym clean and the equipments too! The staff are willing to give the best service to anyone possible! I recommend this gym other than the other gyms near it!!

Nice Gym, a lot of the machines are busted though, lack of maintenance.

I would like to start off by saying this gym is awesome so is all the employees that work there especially employer Raymonta trainer.. The gym is very clean and well kept the machines are always kept up and ready for use I love the fact that they greet you on the way in and on the way out awesome job way to go crunch is on fire in lakewood

Needs work, my location was closed for whatever reason, and they didn't even give any notice, so I ended up at the Trailer park Ives in shock a huge difference compared to my location, raggedy omg I was speechless the machine's some of them not in good condition, the set up of all the machines was making me dizzy, anyways I gave two stars I got in my early a.m. workout, I will not be back to this location.

At the time of signing for membership, I was told by the girl at the desk that helped me sign-up, if I want to cancel, only a manager can cancel. She told me, in that case, I needed to call ahead to make sure the manager would be there. She said the manager isn't always there. Believing that she gave information that was given to her to tell members, I do not, in any way, blame her for the information she gave to me.
When I wanted to cancel, I called many times and never got through to anyone at Crunch. Automatically, the call disconnected after ringing a few times. Finally, I went to the location to cancel. I was told that in order to cancel and not be charged, I had to cancel two weeks before the billing date; otherwise, even if I don't show, I'll be billed. Also, the person with whom I spoke at Crunch that day, said the manager is there always. I didn't have to call first. I told him, I was told I had to call.
I decided to e-mail Crunch. A response came from a manager at Crunch; no name was given. The e-mail stated that no complaints were received about Crunch's phone system. I have the calls to Crunch recorded on my phone, so, there was a problem!
Crunch makes it difficult to cancel! Claiming a person has to cancel a "CERTAIN" way.
Per the instructions from the girl, I call to make sure a manager would be at the location.
All my calls would disconnect, and I never reaches a person.
I went to the location. There I learn that I didn't need to call, a manager is there all the time, and I get the news that I have to cancel two weeks "before" billing date.
Why wasn't the two weeks before the billing date explained at the time I signed up for membership?
Also, please note, that because Crunch was making it very difficult to cancel my membership, I called my bank to stop payments. Itβs unreasonable that I am charged monthly whether I attend or not, and in this case, Iβve hit obstacles that prohibit me from cancelling so that I wonβt be charged! The instruction given to me by the girl who signed me up for membership about calling to make sure a manager would be at the location is wrong! Then, I go to the location and find out there is a manager there always and I didnβt have to call! To top it off, Iβm informed of a 2 weeks prior to billing time-line. I donβt want the membership!!! Iβm not going to pay because Iβm being stopped from canceling memebership!

The management and staff are horrible when it comes to customer service. They act poorly when you have any issues and don't show any proactiveness towards resolving said issues. They make it extremely difficult to accommodate if it is something they don't want to do. I'm shocked on how they talk to customers when they don't want to do something.

Its alright here. Machines outside are really close together so it's kind of weird when trying to practice social distancing. Sometimes there are people even working out without their masks on. Also have to wait for weights and machines as it always seems overcrowded.
