I love this place. Yes, it's a bit more expensive than "Planet Blink Crunch", but that means it's far less crowded and is just the right size to get a good workout whenever you like.
All the equipment is modern and clean (there's a major wipe down policy... alcoholic wipe dispensers are present every 10 feet it seems!).
The locker rooms are immaculate, the towels and water station are free, and there's a LOT of easy and accessible parking. Seriously, no more Hunger Games of Parking like other larger gyms and you KNOW what I'm talking about!
I personally haven't tried any of the free classes they offer, but people tend to like them a lot so I'll defer to other reviews for that.
Lastly, I have to sing the praises of the owner and the staff. They've been nothing but caring and attentive to me. They're literally good people and they give back to the members. That says a lot.
My ONLY gripe? I wish they had longer hours on the weekend. I'm sure they're adequate for 96% of the people who work out on weekends, but I'm the weird 4% that tends to prefer later hours. Still, a very minor nitpick on another otherwise awesome gym. Check it out!

My experience at this gym was nothing short of a nightmare. The facility itself was subpar, but the real issue came when I tried to cancel my membership. After submitting my cancellation request, they confirmed it was processed, yet they continued charging me for months. I was out nearly $300 and demanded a refund, but the owner, Jessica, completely ghosted me. No responses, no accountability, and no refund. Their customer service is nonexistent, and their shady practices are unacceptable. Be cautious and steer clear of this gym—they’ll take your money and disappear when you call them out!

I have been a member here for a few years now, and while I'm moving onto a different gym that now aligns with more specialized goals of my own, as well as a bit more flexibility in late-night hours, I appreciated Funxional for being a great all-around gym with a welcoming atmosphere. I recommend Funxional to anyone who is looking for a clean, accessible, and well-equipped center for general fitness needs!

I had a recent walk through of this gym and before I went in I thought the gym would offer more for the membership price they wanted.
From the website and when I went into the premises they didn't offer any classes but a steep membership price.
I'm not sure why the membership price is so high?

The gym did have a lot of the equipment I like to use. And the way it was set out the flow of equipment stations made a lot of sense.

I see why there weren't that many people in the gym due to the price. I think that's what they are aiming for is a more sparse type of offering. Less people and pay a bit more of a premium price.

I had my heart set on some fitness classes and this just didn't have enough to keep my interested.
The gym looked very well maintained and clean. That's always a good sign for a gym to look around and see how clean and tidy it looks. It does have that type of appeal and it's orderly.

I checked out the women's bathrooms to find them very nice and almost too nice for a gym setting. They looked clean and well maintained as well.

Some of the people working out seemed friendly as I toured around the gym. I wanted to go back and look at all the equipment and the staff were very happy to allow me to wander back in and take a look.

I was thinking of some personal training as an option that would be nice and get me motivated, but at the gym membership price at that high rate it's definitely out of the question for me.

There are a lot more gyms to look at in the area that are more affordable.
The reason I went to FunXional Fitness first was it's one of the closest to me so the less driving the better.
It's a quiet and peaceful place to workout but doesn't have many bells and whistles.

Found this gem of a gym during a week-long stay in Burbank. Had everything I needed for my usual workout. Immediately noticed a sense of community. Very clean. At the counter, Ella and Tony were always friendly and helpful. Took an evening fitness class with Naya, a trainer. The class was a workout itself and enjoyable.

This gym used to feel upscale and like it was worth the $100 a month. Unfortunately it’s now turned into a sad Planet Fitness type of gym. Very unprofessional environment. Management has been nowhere to be seen for months. The new desk employees simply invite all their high school friends at night to come hang out and do an arm pull or two once every hour while they crowd every machine possible with their nonsense. Doubt any of those people are paying this expensive membership. They gang around, make videos, simulate intercourse and laugh, eat around the machines, block all the machines, yell and laugh loudly and play hip hop music from their phones. Extremely disappointing and inappropriate. And as a woman who felt comfortable coming here to work out now I do not whatsoever. Toxic bro fraternity environment. It was my reason for leaving Crunch Fitness to come here. If it wasn’t for the yearly membership renewal fee of $75 that I just got charged this month I would cancel on the spot. Cleanliness has also gone downhill the past few months with this new staff.

Really great experience. A range of clients (young to old), well-kept equipment, and an owner who cares about her business and customers, as opposed to signing up as many people as possible (**coughcough24hourfitnesscough**). Never felt crowded when I was working out, always felt heard by the staff -- I made a suggestion in passing about the possibility of adding more free weights and a new bench... which were on the floor next week.

Love this place! I have been going here with my wife for the past 2 years and we enjoy our walk to get there, the envirnment, and quality equipment. My wife and I were getting tired of the Equinox price as well as the numerous people taking selfies while on the treadmill. Don't get me wrong there are some fitness nuts that go there but it just wans't for us. This place has a wide range of goals from its clients and it is never busy. I love that I can walk in at just about any time and get my workout done without any interruption. It is also great to be able to be welcomed by their staff and feel like part of a family. Jessica does a wonderful job of decorating for events and holidays. The staff know us and we always like to be able to talk with people instead of just putting on your headphones and shutting off the world. They also have classes. I have only been to one yoga class and I enjoyed it. They also have trainers there that are very skilled and give their full attention to whoever they are training. There are showers and lockers for your things. There are tons of gyms in LA but this is one that you can call home.

Just joined, all new equipment that seems cutting edge in that it is geared to total body conditioning, not just isolation. Free classes too. They really seam to care there. A bit more than I was thinking, price wise, but I see it is worth it.

Love Jessica (owner). She is super sweet and very knowledgeable. Even if you don't have a PT, all of the trainer's are super helpful and will give you pointers and answer any question you may have. It is definitely a family atmosphere! Will never go anywhere else!
