I've been training with Max since 2021 right after Covid. He's helped me in many seasons of my life since then, and I'm very grateful for him! I started off wanting to gain healthy weight, and of course every girls goal - be slim thick. Despite being so hard headed (coming form a keto-diet), and my hectic night shift schedule, he was able to work with me and help me get to my goals. I honestly thought I would never be ale to squat anything heavier than 95lbs because of my knee problems, but he proved me wrong! We were able to strengthen my legs and other muscles to the point where my knees are the least of my worries now. He's also been able to get me to my healthiest and strongest, which better prepared me for my pregnancy. He safely trained me all the way to 40 weeks, and made sure to adjust my workouts and form as needed. I dealt with so much back and pelvic pain, but working out honestly made me feel better. Now we're 13 months postpartum working on losing fat without compromising my supply, rebuilding strength, confidence, and just getting back into routine again.

If you want a personal trainer who creates workouts tailored to your personal goals, that fits your lifestyle, Max is the guy for you! He's very honest, has a flexible schedule, very knowledgeable, will push you where you need it, he's patient, and very supportive. Thank you Max!

Max was great ! Very detailed when it came to fixing my form on certain movements but aside from that, the motivation output he provided is awesome ! I was able to touch weight that I never really thought of and i was able to shred fat with the meal plan that he provided. Overall his work speaks loud !

I originally came to Max to build strength specifically for jiu-jitsu and grappling. Since training with him, not only have I felt a major difference, but guys at my gym have actually commented on how much stronger and more explosive I’ve become. Max really knows how to tailor training to your goals. Highly recommend anyone, especially grapplers, train with him if you’re serious about leveling up.

This review is long over due. I have been trained by Max and I can say hands down he IS one of the GREATEST trainers out there. Very hands on and will test your limits. Max has helped me reach my weight goal and pushed me to do better each session. Not only did he show me I’m greater than my mind, but he also made sure I put exactly what my body needs into my body. You can train all you want but how you recover and what you intake afterwards is a big factor in training which Max made sure was done correctly. Max Valdez was the beginning of my lifestyle change — career and physically. I am grateful to o have met him years ago and stuck with training wherever he went.
I met Max and he was the biggest game changer with my career, having me switch from government/criminal justice to the fitness and wellness industry. I was prior service, have an associates in AoJ, had worked in security, and a goal to join CHP. Yet, I am now an independent massage therapist, work at a clinic as a therapist, and a personal trainer myself. All because of this man. I ended up getting PT certified, licensed as a massage therapist, got my associates in sports and rehabilitation therapy, and even travel to unique places to massage.
However, as a trainer, he was phenomenal. I never trusted training, and had this fear that I would be scammed or not cared for in the journey. I had some crazy goals myself, which I was not sure any trainer could fill those shoes. Every moment I had with him was amazing. The second I met him, he was chill and demonstrated he knew what he is skilled in. I had goals of jumping weight, building strength, focusing on form and technique, establishing a healthier diet, feeling better about myself, preventing injury, and learning more about the body. I can not stress enough how much he taught me that I carry into my own personal growth as a client and independent owner of my own training and massage therapy. He made me hit those goals I listed above and I take them to heart. Every question I had — he had an answer. Rarely did he miss a question, and if he did, he would let me know the second he found an answer. I never knew how to lock-in prior to his training, but he unlocked a warrior in me and I never thought I had that energy in me.
Max is the trainer you need if you want to hit some crazy goals and change your lifestyle. If you are serious, he will easily match that. He is caring and wants to make you hit goals, you just need to follow his process and place that trust in him. I mean, I did and now I’m thriving in this industry and my body has never felt better than before.

I’ve been training with Max for the past two months. I originally came across his profile on a site connected to a gym I was thinking of joining. Out of all the trainers listed, Max was the only one who responded promptly, without excuses or delays.

What stands out most about Max is his knowledge. Anytime I have a question about form, technique, or something I’m feeling mid-exercise, he always has a clear, simple explanation and a helpful correction. For example if I’m feeling something in the wrong place, like my back instead of my core, he always has an answer and helps me adjust immediately. He’s great at breaking things down so I understand why we’re doing a certain move, and makes sure my body is ready for each progression so that I actually feel it where I’m supposed to.

On top of that, Max is just a genuinely kind, chill, and motivating person to be around. His energy is calm but encouraging, and he always shows up, no last-minute cancellations, no flakiness. He’s the type of trainer who’s knowledgeable, present, and truly cares about helping you build strength the right way. Please don’t change, Max!! Totally lucked out in finding the right trainer the first time.

I started training with Max a little over 3 years ago and I can say that was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I always had a very slender build and I could never put on any type of muscle or weight, I weighed around 130 lbs when I started with Max but after training with him he got me up to 200 lbs and my strength went up exponentially, lifting weight I’d never thought I’d be able to by helping me feel comfortable in the gym and helped me reach my goals and milestones throughout the years.
