While I was getting a haircut next door at the barber shop, I had a bad leg cramp, and Mike from Ignition fitness studio immediately stepped in to help. He took the time to guide me through stretches, brought me salt water, and even gave me a honey stick to ease the cramp. His kindness, quick response, and genuine care went above and beyond. Truly grateful for his help—thank you, Mike!

I have been training with Mike since late last year. He is incredibly intelligent and a lot of fun to train with! He is truly a master of his craft. I enjoy working with the Kettle Bells and have seen amazing results from his training with these and other tools. I, like Phillip, was skeptical at first about these odd looking weights, but now I look forward to working with Mike and his Kettle Bells. I would recommend Mike Visscher to anyone looking to get fit. He is fun to work out with and I look forward to each of his sessions (which seem to fly by). I will never train with anyone else!
Having never used kettle bells before, I was a bit unsure how such an ""archaic-looking"" method would benefit me more than the high-tech machines that litter the gym. Under Mike's instruction, I have come to appreciate what a great work-out can be achieved by doing numerous variations of exercises using the kettle bells alone. Mike is truly a master of his craft!

As a Probation Corrections Officer charged with teaching physical fitness to the juvenile felons on my caseload, I am always looking for new inovative methods of strength training. I started training with Mike Visscher because I wanted to learn the right way to train with kettlebells to avoid injury to my 47 year old body. I also needed to develop a level of proficiency with kettlebells that would allow me to teach them to the boys on my caseload. Mike's positive energy, knowlege, professionalism, and encouragement, make training a pleasure. He pushes me past my self-imposed limits, ever challenging me to get stronger and better with each training session. Mike is now training me for an upcoming RKC challenge a few months from now. With Mike's help, I'm sure I will soon join the proud ranks of the RKC. Mike Visscher is the best trainer I have ever worked with. Thanks Mike!

I found Mike Visscher on the Dragon Door website and made an appointment for a private lesson. Wow! Am I glad I made that appointment. After our first meeting I knew I found the perfect exercise and an amazing instructor. Mike's instruction is superior. He is able to demonstrate proper form in a non-intimidating manner while making the classes fun and challenging. I've been attending Mike's classes for five months twice a week and what a positive difference it has made in my life. Mike has been able to gradually introduce me to heavier weights and advanced moves that I never thought I would be able to do five months ago. Thank you Dragon Door for the great RKC training your provide your instructors and thank you Mike for making me a more fit, healthier person. This is by far the best workout I've ever done!

I had a strong foundation of resistance training under my belt before my first session with Mike, including over one year of practicing with kettle bells and 18 years of more traditional resistance training with barbells & body weight. As a result of working with Mike over the last six months, I have improved my kettle bell lifting technique, reduced my strength imbalances, and improved my endurance.With Mike's critique I have validated certain variations of kettle bell lifting that are the most efficient for my body type in addition to identifying technique that if left unchecked, could lead to an increased strength imbalance or injury. I am grateful to train with Mike because he is well rounded when it comes to implementing corrective stretches and variations in resistance exercise to address compensations that come along with training at a high intensity.

I have been working with Mike for more than a couple years now, and I am still amazed at the results and how things continue to progress! After being in a severe car accident, almost 20 years ago, I now live with epilepsy and severe migraines. Not only do the seizures take a toll on the body, but the side effects of all of the medications do as well. Over the years, I have worked with at least 5 different personal trainers, tried different massage therapies, joined gyms, etc., without much benefit. I could go on and on, but, I thank God that I found Mike! When I first met Mike, I was very impressed with how he "listened" to me and took all of my issues into account before setting up a plan. He continues to adjust the routine, taking everything into account. Not only has working with Mike helped my muscle tone and strength, but also decreased my migraines, and I believe it has helped decrease the number of seizures I experience. People have commented on my improved stature before I even told them I had started working with Mike. Mike knows when to push a little, encouraging one to meet their goals, and he knows when to take it easy. Bottom line, Mike is not only an amazing fitness instructor, but he's reliable, trustworthy, and "real". I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!
