I signed up for InShape because of the pool and different classes they offer. I also enjoy having the option to join a class or work out on my own.
I really enjoy the hydro massage bed!
The remodel is coming along nicely. It needed a face lift.
My only suggestion is to have red light therapy which has many benefits to boost your overall health.
I left Planet Fitness for InShape, but I do miss the red light therapy that Planet Firness has!
I have had a positive experience thus far.
The employee's are very nice and have been more than willing to help to answer questions!

**Update, spoke to a different staff member and was allowed to try the class. The gym is okay so far, but still not happy with the unwelcoming atmosphere.

Took a tour. Tried calling to set up trial membership and phones didn't work. Drove back to the gym to activate trial membership and work out. Once I went through that process went to take a class, the whole reason I wanted to switch to this gym instead if Planet Fitness and was told my trial membership doesn't allow me to take classes or reserve pool. What is the point of a trial if you cant actually try the classes? Looks like Im going sticking with Planet Fitness.

In shape is scamming me of my money. I signed up for a MONTH TO MONTH FOR SURE, even got the emails about it and yet they’re charging me for yearly/annual and won’t let me cancel it without paying $200+. I’ve tried to contact the manager yet no one seems to be helping me out, no responses, always saying they will contact support and I will get an email but I never did. Very VERY upset.

EXCELLENT!!!! They deserve 10 STARS!! This is a REAL fitness gym. Plenty of great equipment, spaces for different workouts, pool, sauna, hot tub. If you're serious about your fitness health this is the ONLY GYM to use. Don't waste your time at "anytime" or the "purple planet day care center". In shape will get you IN SHAPE!! Just put in the serious effort. Huge thanks to management and the team for showing me that I needed to leave a certain "24" gym after 27 years! Totally worth it!

I recently signed up at In-Shape after being overweight for a few years. I knew the journey would be long and challenging, but one of the hardest parts was overcoming the social anxiety of committing to a gym. From the very beginning, Maria was part of the process she guided me through purchasing my membership and even helped me take advantage of discounts for county workers.

The gym itself is moderately sized, clean, and well-equipped with a variety of weights, cardio machines, and designated areas for classes and stretching. With so many members and fit individuals around, it can feel intimidating at first. That’s where Maria makes a huge difference. Often working the front, she greets everyone with professionalism and a warm smile. She’s kind, encouraging, and always going the extra mile whether it’s assisting members, cleaning equipment, or restocking towels.

I’m truly grateful for Maria. Without even knowing it, her welcoming personality made me feel at home here. She’s a valuable asset to this gym, and I believe In-Shape is better because of her.

Years ago I highly recommended this gym, now in this time, I say look at more options, to start with the manager named Jacinto is very despotic and rude, in terms of cleanliness, very dirty, the machinery dirty, I even got skin infections, I have warts on my hands and back, parts where I had contact with the equipment, I preferred to cancel, it's a shame that it went down in level, I speak at least for the one in Santa Maria

I had a very horrible experience with the lady at the front. She wears glasses and has curly hair. She said I didn’t belong there and how I need to leave, it made me feel bad about myself because I’ve been trying to lose weight for so long and she interrupts me mid workout just to say that is unacceptable. I’ve been going through bad times lately with my dog dying a few days ago and I didn’t need this. I want something to be done. I loved this gym for years and been treated good by all the workers there. All of this because I didn’t have an id I go by different last names. This happened on 7/17/25 around 7-8:30 am.

We had to change insurance companies recently and the new company provided a free membership to Silver Sneakers. This program allows my wife and I to go to any gym that offers the program and use their entire facilities for free! We visited several and decided that InShape had the nicest setup. They have a lap-pool, Sauna, Jacuzzi, free-weights, Lots of treadmills, bikes, stair-climbers, etc. as well as numerous machines for exercising different muscles. They even offered a free 1-hour startup with evaluation for each of us. We have used their low-impact classes for seniors a number of times and find it very helpful.

Unfortunately the shower area, especially the floors are always disgusting. The shower bar i handicap shower about to fall off was. Drywall in shower unfinished. Tons of hair in drains. Regardless of who you bring this up to - you are treated with ambivalence.

Great place to work out. My family and I have tried multiple gyms and we keep coming back. Love the people and the environment. The cleanliness of the whole place. The upbeat, enthusiastic, and friendly staff members. The extra room with the squat racks, deadlift platforms, and Olympic lifting. I love how the free weight dumbbells' rack go way past 100lbs. Also the concentration curl machine on the second floor circuit area be hitting different. The extra rooms where bodybuilders can practice their posing routine. The good balance of free weights and machines. The wide variety of machines available for every muscle group, the gym is a great place for any fitness training lifestyle.

This place has Covid written all over it. I went to workout and only saw two cleaning bottles with dirty rags that were soaking wet. There are no hand sanitatisers to be seen and nobody wipes their machines down. Machines were dirty with sweat marks all over. Staff is inattentive and seem unprofessional. A good place to get sick for sure. Not sure how they're even open
