I am your partner in your fitness success, and will put you on the path to achieving your goals. My training approach is Pilates-inspired, tough, but fun! After an initial assessment, I will design an exercise plan for your goals, ability and comfort level. You’ll learn how it feels to move the right way during our motivational training sessions, and gain knowledge to lead a healthy, fit and happy life.

My sessions at Fitphoria were the first time I ever worked with a personal trainer one-on-one. I had only ever taken group fitness classes before which, while fun, definitely don't have that much of a focus on proper form and technique. Jennifer on the other hand paid very close attention to my form and alignment from warm up to work out to cool down and would provide helpful cues and checks so I could correct my form.

Additionally, having workouts completely tailored and customized to my needs and goals was amazing. She really listens to your goals and interests. I originally signed up for her sessions to prepare for my yoga teacher training later this year and the exercises and stretches she had me do were very complementary to my yoga practice. I'm now able to adapt and perform the poses and exercises for myself much better because I know my own body a lot more now. I also do classes at RockSalt so I wanted to learn how to do the exercises that we perform there with correct form on the reformer so we worked a lot on that. However, later on, I expressed interest in the Pilates Exo chair she has in the studio since I had never tried it before and Jennifer started incorporating chair exercises into our routine which I ended up absolutely loving!

She also takes into account your other activities that you do during your week to come up with the best possible work out for you. For example, if you are doing a lot of other exercises and fitness classes during the week or even the same day, she can adjust the workout to take into account that your body may be a little fatigued. My dear cat sadly passed away a couple of days before one of our sessions and when I told Jennifer about it, she was able to immediately pivot my workout into something more mellow which I greatly appreciated.

I highly recommend working with Jennifer if you are interested in learning more about Pilates, want careful attention and instruction for your form and technique, or want help in achieving any kind of fitness goals. Her Pilates workouts have greatly improved my stability, my posture, and my energy levels. I no longer have to take breaks from standing or cooking for long periods of time because of a sore back! She is very patient and clear in her instructions and explanations of Pilates concepts and what muscles should be engaged. Her studio is very clean, modern, and bright and always had relaxing music playing which is a welcome change from some of the more overstimulating and loud group fitness classes I would do. I greatly enjoyed my time working with Jennifer and look forward to taking more sessions from her in the future!

Jennifer is hands down the best Pilates instructor I’ve ever worked with. Every session—whether private or duet—feels completely customized to how my body is feeling that day. She knows exactly when to push me and when to adjust things so I leave feeling strong, not frustrated. She’s also incredibly kind and makes workouts something I actually look forward to (which is saying a lot!). I’ve seen so much progress thanks to her, and she always finds creative ways to challenge me without it ever feeling repetitive. Pilates trainings with Jen are probably the best personalized, private fitness sessions I've experienced. She devotes the necessary time to understand your goals all while assessing your physical abilities and structural makeup.

I've particularly appreciated the close attention to my alignment and flexibility. I already work out a fair amount, yet Jen is able to offer close review of my form and offers me cues that I can remember and focus on throughout each session, other workouts and during everyday activity. It's evident she really knows how body mechanics work and designs creative and challenging routines for each workout!

Best of all, I feel refreshed and stronger at the end of each session. It's a treat to add working with her to my regular gym and cardio routine.

Jen's studio is amazing. After major surgery two years ago, I finally feel like I'm getting my center back. I can see the changes in the last 60 days regarding core strength, balance, and stability. I have taken group Pilates classes before, but having the personalized 1:1 instruction tailored to where I am right now has helped me immeasurably. Jennifer has been my Pilates instructor for the past few weeks, and she has been amazing! I am new to pilates, but I feel like I have already learned a ton from her. She is very knowledgeable, patient but also motivating, and professional. I got to work with three different instructors from RockSalt Pilates, and by far she has been the best, always coming well-prepared and ready to teach! Also with covid-19, she has been taking all the necessary safety measures - sanitizing all the equipment, working out with masks on, taking my temperature, and keeping the safe social distance throughout the workouts. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone who is looking for a trainer!

Jen's approach to personal training is customer-focused.
