Most Dope grappling is a premier No-Gi jiu jitsu gym in Mountain View and imo the best one in the area. High level technique, breakdowns, and rolls from the owner, Blackbelt Mikey ‘Rolls’ Gonzalez.

Training at Most Dope Jiu Jitsu has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my BJJ journey. Mikey, the head coach, isn’t just teaching techniques—he’s constantly studying the meta of the game, making sure his students are learning strategies and movements from the cutting edge of modern jiu jitsu.
Mikey currently trains—and has been for years—with some of the best of the best in the Bay Area, including high-level professionals every week. The techniques he teaches aren’t just theory; they’re tested and refined with elite training partners before they hit the mats at Most Dope.
What sets Mikey apart is how personally invested he is in every student’s growth. He takes the time to understand your style, your strengths, and your goals, and then gives tailored advice to help you develop your own game. Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned grappler, you can tell he genuinely cares about helping you level up.
If you’re looking for a place where the instruction is ahead of the curve, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the coaching is personal and detail-driven, Most Dope Jiu Jitsu is it.

Mikey is an amazing coach and he works very closely with every single one of the students. It doesn’t matter if you are looking for a place to learn jiujitsu from the zero or if you are trying to take your game to the next level, this is a place for you. Absolutely incredible NOGI, Mikey leglocks are on a different level! Totally recommend 10/10 🙌🏻

Most Dope is an amazing place with an incredible coach. Mickey always makes sure everyone is on the same pace and that no one is left behind. His attention to detail is second to none, and his training is well structured and disciplined. Mikey ensures everyone is included and finds a way to help each person improve their game one way or another. It’s an environment where you feel supported, challenged, and motivated every step of the way.

Stopped by Mōst Dope while visiting the Bay Area, and it was one of the best drop-in experiences I’ve had! The gym has a clean, laid-back atmosphere with legit talent on the mats. Mikey and the crew were super welcoming—no ego, just great energy and technical coaching. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, they make you feel like part of the team.
The instruction was sharp, and the rolling was both challenging and fun. If you’re in the area and love high-quality modern jiu-jitsu, don’t sleep on this spot. Can’t wait to train here again next time I’m in town!

I had the opportunity to drop in while I was visiting the Bay Area. It has great instruction and a great vibe. The class format is unique and I really like it; there is a lot of dynamic and situational drilling, and I was exhausted before we even got to free rolling. If I moved to the Bay Area this is where I would train, and I’ve dropped in at a few other excellent gyms in the area. One downside is the small mat space, but that didn’t negatively affect my experience.

This is one of the best places to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I thank God for helping me discover this place. Coach Mikey is a phenomenal coach that has great structure to his program. There is a fundamental class and an advanced class. Ever since I started training at this place, my jiu jitsu game has dramatically evolved. I went from being a hobbyist to a competitor that has been consistently winning matches in tournaments and super fights. Recently just won gold medals in back-to-back tournaments due to the training I received from this gym.

10/10, I was passing through for work and dropped in for a training session. Honestly, killer people to train with! We covered both some stand up game and then drilled some positional stuff that was exceptionally helpful.
I am still using the wrestling sequence to this day! If you are in the area and are looking for somewhere to train, this is it. Matt was kind and welcoming and if I am ever in the area again, I will 100% going back!

This is my go to gym to drop in at whenever I am in town in San Jose. The instructor teaches moves that are relevant to today’s era in BJJ, which helps me out tremendously. All the classes I have been to are very informative and well as I get a good sweat in. If you are looking to improve your BJJ game in San Jose, this is the spot to be at

Did a drop-in to experience Mikey's school and class. Not only was the class a workout, but it was insanely informative. Most importantly, because it's a small studio, Mikey was super tentative to all the students in the class and gave great feedback and encouragement. Definitely considering coming back and/or even putting a few months to learn. Thanks Mikey

I've been training jiu-jitsu for over 8 years and recently dropped into Most Dope. Honestly, it was one of the best training sessions I've had in a long time. Mikey is super attentive and knowledgeable when it comes to jiu-jitsu. Taking his class last week makes me excited about deep diving into the no gi world again! Will be coming back for sure. The vibe check here passes in my book. Thanks Mikey and crew!

I recently had the pleasure of training at Mōst Dope Submission Grappling in Mountain View, CA, and I couldn't be more impressed. Mikey, the standout athlete and head coach, truly embodies the core values of dedication, innovation, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
At Mōst Dope, they focus on the ever-evolving meta of modern competitive Jiu Jitsu, ensuring their athletes stay ahead of the game. I purchased a package of private instruction to improve my Jiu Jitsu ahead of ADCC, and Mikey's ability to articulate complex movements and his attention to detail impressed me immediately.
If you're looking to delve deeper into the sport, I highly recommend spending some time with Mikey at Mōst Dope. Their commitment to excellence and the quality of instruction is unparalleled.

This is by far the best jiu jitsu instruction and community I've been a part of in the area. I joined around 4 months ago. Coming from a "big-name" gym in San Jose, Mikey's personalized instruction was a breathe of fresh air. Mikey makes sure each student walks away from each class with a better understanding of how to integrate that days' concepts to their game. Training is methodical and structured so that all students are safe at all times. 100% recommend checking out this gym, whether you're a hobbyist or competitor.

Mike is a phenomenal instructor. He is methodical, clear, intentional, and patient. He has high standards and wants to make sure all of his students are challenged to learn and grow. He knows how to make sure people feel comfortable asking questions while also pushing them past what they *think* they can do. My son always hears Mike tell him "don't accept it!" on the mat, and he tries harder. I cannot recommend Mike and his teaching style enough. If you're on the fence about trying jiu-jitsu, this review is your sign to dive in!
