I joined MoveHER Fitness 7 months ago, hoping to build strength, confidence, and learn some self-defense—and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. As someone fairly new to the gym and kickboxing world, I was nervous at first. But my first classes were welcoming, beginner-friendly, and honestly fun—which I didn’t expect from a workout! Coach April is amazing. She’s supportive, encouraging, and truly puts in the effort to tailor workouts and kickboxing combos to each person’s level. You can tell she cares—especially when you're sore the next day.

Since joining, I’ve gained muscle, lost weight, and discovered that I do, infact, have biceps. I walk taller, hit harder, and genuinely feel stronger in every way. Plus, the InBody testing is like getting a fitness report card—allowing me to actually track my progress through data.

The all-women atmosphere is empowering, and the community is so positive. If you’re looking for a gym that genuinely supports your growth, I highly recommend MoveHER!

I. Love. This. Gym. April and the other coaches have cultivated such a wonderful culture of support and empowerment, and I actually look forward to going to the gym again for the first time in years now. They meet you where you're at and help you get to where you want to be with no judgment - only encouragement. I've worked with April, Tiffany, and Amanda, but I'm sure they're all equally amazing. They will help you set and track your goals, and check in quarterly to see how you're doing and adjust as needed. They can always provide modifications and have endless energy and patience. And the other members are all lovely as well! I'm a member for life!

Been attending this gym for a few years and I love it! I never used to enjoy working out before coming here, but now it’s something I look forward to. The coaches are great, community is friendly, and the classes are fun! And as someone who started out with 0 fitness experience, I think this was the best place to ease me into working out more. I find most gyms to be intimidating, but I was never uncomfortable or intimidated at MoveHER. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

I've been going to MoveHer for a year and a half and can't say enough good things about it. There is a new program every 4 weeks and weights are changed during each week of the program for the challenge and increasing strength. Each program is reviewed by an InBody test which is super helpful in health and fitness goals. For me, it takes the guesswork out of having to figure out what to do for training and I love that. The coaches at MoveHER are genuinely the best. So sweet. So positive. So motivating. It's such a beautiful community and I am so happy to be a part of it.

Coach April is the best! MoveHER classes are great for all fitness levels, combining strength training, kickboxing, cardio, yoga/animal flow and more, for a workout that's challenging but fun. Each class is a little different so you'll never get bored.

April also structures the program so you really feel yourself getting stronger and quickly see noticeable improvement in form/flexibility/etc. She works with you to make your fitness goals attainable and helps you develop more consistent healthy habits. I got in the best shape of my life thanks to MoveHER!

It's also a really supportive community (with occasional group hikes and other events outside of class) so you'll make friends fast. If you're new to working out or getting back into fitness after a hiatus, everyone is very welcoming and inspires each other.

I’ve been with coach April for over three years now and I highly recommend trying MoveHer Fitness! Coach April genuinely cares and will keep pushing you to try harder. I've been going to MoveHer since April started the program. In fact I was working out with April at another gym until the pandemic hit. Now that most gyms are back open, well, I'm sticking with April. She's created a program that works for each person, but is in a group setting so, we get to encourage each other. It's a very good workout with the right amount of adaptations to suit each woman's needs, but it's also fun and rewarding. I have never been in better shape, ever. And what's even more important is that I've learned some invaluable skills that can be used for all sorts of areas in my life.

The founder, April, is 1000% (I meant to be put that extra zero) committed to helping women become the best versions of themselves. She dedicates herself to us when we're in class and when we're not in class because she's always finding ways to improve herself as a coach and to improve her program.

Needless to say, the program overall is amazing. The members are pumped for their daily workouts, the music is bumping, and you finish class feeling accomplished. No workout is the same and they are structured to target different areas of your body. Offering in person classes, virtual classes, personal training in addition to tips/resources and one-on-one check ins to help you along your fitness journey outside of class makes MoveHER a well-rounded program. I've struggled my entire life with activity and have always lived a really sedentary lifestyle. Since Working from home during COVID, I had really begun to feel the effects on my body and had been looking for different ways to be active. I tried YouTube videos, apps, and self guided plans, but could never stick to anything for more than a week.
A friend had told me about MoveHER and I decided to give it a try. I started out with the Zoom classes and it was hard, but I felt like I had support the whole time which pushed me to try my best. I had NEVER sweated that much in my life then when I was done with the MoveHER sessions! Eventually, I worked up the courage to attend some of the outdoor sessions. They were incredibly safe every time. Temperature checks before entering the ball field, distancing everyone more than 6 feet apart with cones, plus everyone was wearing masks the whole time, which sounds difficult, but it's actually not so bad, and worth it to make everyone feel safe.
From the moment I started, I felt supported by these amazing women and I get check ins regularly from them asking how I'm keeping up with my personal goals or even just to send some praise my way! I've gone from dreading exercise to seeing it as a tool to help me live the kind of life I want and feel good in my own body. I would 110% recommend them to anyone who struggles but feels ready to tackle fitness head on!

I started taking classes via Zoom around the beginning of August 2020. MoveHER Fitness has been the perfect solution for my fitness needs while the stay-at-home orders have been in place and I’m assuming it will continue after. Here’s why the classes have worked for me:
- Classes are available via Zoom and in-person. I am not yet comfortable taking in-person classes, so the Zoom option has been perfect
- No equipment required. Any movement can be adjusted if you do not have the appropriate equipment. I eventually bought a set of dumbbells to use during the class. It’s recommended but not required
- Class times. The Zoom classes I take are offered at 7AM, which is perfect as I start work around 9AM
- Class instructors. Caitlyn & April are always energetic and happy and do a great job coaching as well as making everyone in the class feel welcome, regardless of your fitness ability. They are working to form a community, which includes reaching out to discuss your fitness goals, sharing videos and tips outside of class, checking in with you, etc. You can tell they are passionate and dedicated and clearly see the results of their efforts.
- Workouts. A typical workout starts with ~10 minutes to stretch/warm up, ~30 minutes of cardio or strength, ~10 minutes of core, and ~10 minutes to stretch/cool down. I’ve really enjoyed the blend of the movements and you are typically always seeing something new. Definitely never boring!
