The trainers are knowledgeable and the gym has a positive vibe. I liked the personalized approach, but it didn’t fully meet my expectations. Scheduling felt a bit limited, and some sessions felt rushed. It’s a decent option, just not the perfect fit for me.

Been going here 2 days a week for the past 5 months. At 46, I’ve never been fit as I am now. Not that I really exercised that much in my life.

Not only does Dan show me how to train correctly he also monitors my nutrition and guides me to healthy eating. Other places I looked at charged a lot more (on top of the training) for this service.

I started going to OC Fitness to lose weight but ended up changing how I live, for the better. I have more energy and able to do more with my 2 kids. I’ve been on diets before and have lost many pounds that way but I was never fit and was always tired and stressed.

If you put in the effort, it’s well worth it. I only wish that I started sooner.

OC Fitness Coach changed my life! I had the honor of training with Dan who taught me the formula to live healthier and lose weight. I am fully committed to the program Dan created and he is fully committed to making sure I succeed. Dan educated me on nutrition, which is something I severely lacked in my life. When I started working out with Dan twice a week I weighed 285, wore XXL clothing and my waist was a 42. I also could not go quickly up a flight of stairs without breathing hard. Since the end of January, I have lost over 60 lbs, wear XL clothing and my waist is down to a 36. In addition to strength training three days a week, I also run 2-3 miles a day three other days. My life has been transformed and I owe it all to Dan. All I needed to do was follow Dan’s guidance and I was able to cultivate a healthy and active lifestyle. The team at OC Fitness are great. I've been working with Devan for several months now and am really pleased by the experience. I've been going to OCF for seven months and I work with Coach Devan 3x/wk. When I started I was at my heaviest weight and needed to do something for my physical and mental health. As of today, I've lost fat, gained muscle, and my weight is steadily decreasing. I can see the muscle in my arms and my midsection is shrinking. I'm able to do more, both inside and outside the gym, with greater ease. My sense of self-worth and confidence have improved. Coach Devan has an infectious energy and enthusiasm. This is the best gym for getting healthy and strong, feeling great and reaching your goals. Everyone here is friendly and inviting and it is a great atmosphere to work out in. They use a hollistic approach to help you learn how to be healthier all around. Dan, Bryan and Mallory go above and beyond and every session I get to do new, fun workouts that I would never think of on my own. He is a gifted and naturally born teacher and trainer who can work with anyone who wants to grow physically and mentally in their training. Coach Vic is an excellent teacher and trainer in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). He is an incredible teacher of the art of jiu-jitsu who can work with anyone beginner or advanced. I have been blessed to have learned and trained BJJ with Victor. His ability to teach and adapt to a student is impeccable and very difficult to find. I have lived and trained (in the gym and BJJ) throughout Brazil, the Americas, Europe and worked in professional sports and OC Fitness Coach is where one should invest their money, blood, sweat and tears. I've been working out with Dan & company (Caston, Devon, etc) for over 3 months now and can't say enough about how great they've been on getting me back on track. OCFC is truly a one-stop shop elevating what personal training is all about and bar none the BEST experience I've had thus far. My girlfriend and I have been working out here since 2021. After COVID hit, we were looking to improve our eating habits, physical routines, and ultimately, just look/feel better. I was always on the fence about going to a personal trainer, when of course you can just hit the gym yourself. But, if you’re like me, the value comes in having someone “train” you to healthy mechanisms. This is one of those things where you’ll want to un-learn some bad habits and start taking direction from people who preach and live their words.

My gf found her “fit” with one of Dan’s other trainers and really crushed it in terms of losing weight, eating healthy, and just living her best life.

I work 1:1 with Dan, and he provides me with nutritional coaching, physical coaching and is all around just a great guy. This is a cool local business worth supporting. Definitely check out Dan and his gym to see if this could be a good fit for you. I trained with Codie for 5 months, from July to November 2021, and only have great things to say about this place.

Codie is very knowledgeable and patient. He fixed a lot of my bad workout habits and taught me how to move to make the most out of my workout. He also showed me exercises to relieve the neck stiffness I had after long hours at a desk job, which greatly improved my sleep quality. His training programs are fun and challenging and I have never thought I would like circuit training! I truly enjoyed every single session with Codie.

Dan is very resourceful and reliable. If you ask him questions about nutrition and a healthy lifestyle, he will give you clear guidance based on scientific research. You will also learn tons by reading the resources he shares with you.

This gym is not a typical gym that only helps you lose weight and have a toned body. You can learn so many things that impact your lifestyle for the long term.

Another huge plus - you can train while watching beautiful sunset with the pristine lake view. Already miss this place. Thank you team!

Dan at Oc fitness coach is amazing! During the lockdown I gained quite a bit of weight (as most of us I did I assume - also I'm 51 now) and was looking for a solution virtually without exposing myself in a "live gym" situation. For that reason (and the time it takes to drive to and from a gym) from home was ideal for me. I also wanted to work with someone one on one who would help me focus on losing weight by doing structured workouts while improving nutrition - and most importantly (and I've found for me this is KEY) someone and something to be accountable to. Dan uses an app called Trainerize, and in addition to the weekly 1:1 virtual workouts, that app keeps me on track daily, as well as syncing with the MyFitnessPal and Fitbit apps I use. I've lost 30 lbs. in four months, while gaining muscle mass and working on strength - but this is because I am able to stick with it day to day. Due to the nature of the virtual workouts I'm doing with Dan, I feel that someone anywhere in the world could achieve the same results. Highly, highly recommended!

Found it with Dan and the Team at OC Fitness Coach! Great gym to work out at. Beautiful location at the Lake Mission Viejo. I have been able to work out with several members of the Team at OC Fitness Coach. My sessions have included boxing, jogging, running, cycling, rowing, weights, stretching and even pilates! Each session is always different, which I love. I'm never bored with the workouts. Dan is also very knowledgeable with nutrition. I never write reviews as I typically don't have the time, or frankly, the desire. I am a full-time professional, father of two, and the best husband I can be (although I am sure I can do better).

Like many people I know, and perhaps you who are reading this, 2020 came out of nowhere. Before I knew it, we worked from home, running a school out of the house for our kids, full-time parents, teachers, professionals, counselors; you name it. Amid all the chaos - I woke up one day (obviously, this didn't happen overnight), and I was 80 pounds overweight - how did this happen, I thought? I had put all my energy into those around me who needed me, but I forgot about myself; many of us do.

So, now that I was awake, I thought, now what, and I spent the next few weeks moping. I was sure I was only doing this in my own mind, but before you know it, my incredible wife tells me you have a consultation with OC Fitness Coach. I looked them up online and thought, no way this place is for athletes - that's not me. She finally convinced me to have the conversation, and I thank her every day for that moment.

I am now more than 20 sessions in with Dan Tatro, and I have almost cut my overage in half. As someone who has struggled with my weight my entire life, this experience has been entirely different than anything I've ever tried before. The way Dan and his Team approach your very personalized plan comes off very unassuming. I was expecting a step by step, documented plan - sign up, do the work, leave, like so much of what I've seen before.

When I met with Dan, he told me, "Consistency, Patience, and Trust, and I promise you will transform." It is true, and the journey is only just beginning. The atmosphere that Dan and his Team create makes you feel like family. This is not a loose 10-20 pounds, get fit for summer type of program - if that's what you want, this might not be the place for you. However, if you are tired of the merry-go-round of gain, lose, gain, lose, and want to truly make a change in your life, I can think of no better place than OC Fitness Coach.

I did go in with an "I need to lose some weight" mindset. What I have got out of this so far is incredibly more significant than that. My whole idea about Fitness and Nutrition has wholly transformed, and my body is coming along for the ride. It feels like this experience is the missing puzzle piece I've looked for now for more than 20 years.

I want to thank Dan and his incredible Team of Fitness and Nutrition Professionals. It is encouraging hearing them collaborate about clients and what might be the best approach for a particular need/goal. It amazes me the diversity of clientele you have. From young to old, fit to not so much, athletes, first responders, average Joe's/Jane's.

Thank you for helping me get back to a version of myself I can appreciate more. I have more energy, I feel more capable, I don't have less stress, but I manage it much better. My transformation has been about me and unlocking my potential for the rest of my life. Most of all, thank you for giving me back TIME - the most important asset money cannot buy!

Love this place!! This was my first experience with a personal trainer and I am so glad it was at OC Fitness Coach. My trainers were Dan and Jerome and they were both super supportive and helpful to get me on the right path towards my goal. The entire experience I've had at OC Fitness Coach has been spectacular from the beginning.

To begin, I had a consultation call with Dan's wife, Sona, and we ended up talking for about an hour. She was so sweet and caring and gave me all the information I needed to make the decision to come in for a free consultation with Dan. She didn't come across as 'just trying to make a sale,' and seemed to genuinely want to help me find out if this was the right fit.

When I went to meet Dan the next week, he gave me the same impression. He wasn't trying to sell me, just trying to see if he could be of help. The first workout was free, so I decided to try it out.

After those conversations, I began personal training and have been seeing trainer, Tihana, since October.

One of the reasons that I continue to come here (despite the cost) is that the entire staff truly cares about you. Even though I only go in once a week (and only pay for that hour), Tihana texts me and acts as my support system in my weight loss journey throughout the week. She's helped develop sample meal plans and helps tracks my calories. If she even listens to a podcast or something that might help my journey, she sends it to me.

Plus, I really enjoy the workouts. When you walk in, it feels like a family. Even the other trainers and people working out will strike up conversation. It feels like we're all in this together.

The team has made this a thoroughly positive experience and that's why I'll continue coming here as long as I can.

I trained MMA for a long time ago and I want to get back in shape again. Dan and Russ are black belts in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Russ actually has MMA fight experience. Working with Dan has been a huge benefit. He doesn't just provide training in his gym. He has mapped out workouts for us on the days we are not there as well as helped us structure our nutrition plan. Every workout is different and has been a mix of resistance, boxing and cardio. I think what really sold me was the first meeting with Dan. He was more interested in what our goals were and if we would be a good fit to train with him. He was not interested in just getting another client, but wanted to know that we were both on the same realistic page.

I have been coming to this studio for over a year. It’s a good combination of weights, cardio with a big emphasis on nutrition and that was my struggle. I had a rough year and lost all motivation. I went through several different surgeries and procedures due to breast cancer treatment. I am now on medication which causes fatigue and I had to do something to make myself feel more confident and someone who will hold me accountable. My chiropractor referred me to OC Fitness Coach and I met with Dan, who is the owner. I immediately felt at ease. The studio is a calm and a non intimidating environment. Dan put together a program for me that fits MY personal needs. His trainer, Jerome, also trains me and he shows me alternatives to ordinary exercises that will help strengthen my core without injury. More importantly, Jerome listens to me and builds my confidence by getting me stronger with each session. I do a combination of stretching, balance, strength training and my favorite boxing. I met Dan and his team several years ago after moving from the East to CA.

I am a 47, relatively fit, guy who has never really spent much time inside of a gym up until now. My past routine of keeping active had been logging miles on the treadmill but I had always felt the need to do something more. I had a few goals in mind which included increasing overall strength, adding lean muscle, and of course losing those last few stubborn pounds around my mid-section. Having no previous background in strength training I spent a lot of time reading Men's Health magazines and watching Youtube videos but quickly became overwhelmed by a wealth of conflicting information. I just wanted to learn which workouts would be benefit my body type the most and more importantly how to perform those workouts using proper form and technique. Soon after, I decided I would benefit from some one-on-one coaching. Fortunately, I found OCFitness Coach and quickly scheduled my first meeting with Dan and Taran who both seemed genuinely interested in helping me achieve my fitness goals right from the start.

Fast-forward three months later to now. I have definitely made progress toward my goals as I am not only feeling stronger but have noticed new muscle growth which is apparent by the fact that my clothes fit better, particularly around my chest, shoulders, and arms! My posture has improved significantly as well. Some other health benefits I have noticed is that I sleep better. I had been dealing with some lingering health issues going back to last year which included morning and afternoon fatigue, insomnia, and even occasional anxiety which thanks to the work I've put in at OCFitness Coach have all mostly been resolved. I'm happy to say I am feeling great of late. I'm also getting complements from friends and co-workers who have noticed this positive change.

Regarding the actual workouts, they are challenging, but a lot of fun. And I particularly enjoy the diverse approaches of all the coaches there. As well, I never thought I would enjoy Jiu-jitsu and boxing as much as I have! It's never the same workout over and over, Dan and his team of coaches always keep it interesting. I also enjoy the end of workout discussions on things like nutrition, sleep, stress, water intake, and other physical activities. These discussions help keep me on track when I'm not at the gym.

I worked out with Dan for about a year. Only reason I stopped is because I moved out to Murrieta. He is by far the best Fitness Coach/motivator I have ever seen. I worked at 24 Hour fitness and have never seen someone care for clients like Dan cares for his. Personally, he has taken time to get to know me and my needs. He honestly cares... I cant say that enough. He is not all about the business but more about making sure I am healthy and getting into the shape I want to be in. I moved to Mission Viejo in December 2016 and was looking to get back into shape. I hated the atmosphere of the typical gym like 24 hour and felt a bit out of my element at Crossfit. I saw a flier for OC Fitness and decided to give them a call. Definitely one of the best decisions that I have made this year.

I can tell that Dan really cares about my fitness goals and wants me to succeed. He tailors the workouts to what I like to do and they are always challenging, unique, and fun. For example, a few weeks ago, I was carrying a 30 lb. sandbag over my shoulders as I walked up and down the stairs 12 times. Definitely challenged me and I felt like a bad a@# when I was done. I like the one-on-one focus and Dan always motivates and inspires me to push my hardest and do my best. I have been with OC Fitness Coach for 8 months now. It is the best decision I have ever made. I moved back to the area after going to college. I was overweight and out of shape from drinking too many beer and not working out in over 3 years. Dan and his staff are the best. I have worked out with Dan, Taran and Russ. All three have a different style which I like but ultimately the goal for all three of them is to help you reach your goals. They hold you accountable not only with exercise but with diet and nutrition as well. The biggest eye opener for me was my diet. Dan and his crew helped me realize that eating healthy is 95% of the challenge and the fastest way to get results. I have lost 35 pounds and am still on a mission to lose 15 more. I would recommend OC Fitness Coach to anyone ready to make a change in their life!!!!

OC Fitness is in a beautiful location with all the state of the art equipment. Trainer Dan is amazing! He will work your butt off and you will feel the burn and yet you will enjoy it :). He is a super sweet and a very personable individual. Never judges you but motivates and pushes you to work hard towards your goals. He is always professional and extremely knowledgeable about physiology, nutrition and the psychology of exercise.

I knew I needed to get back in shape for a long time and lose quite a lot of weight. Using my daily routine as an excuse I never got to do any exercise or eating healthy.

Six month ago I finely put my priorities in order and started eating healthier and do some kind of exercise. Knowing I had to find someone that would help me in this area, my husband and I found OC Fitness Coach.

Dan not only is very knowledgeable in the area of fitness as well as his team, but most of all, he works with you and your very specific needs. He teaches you how to do the exercises correctly and if for any reason you can not do a specific one he will teach you other options to target that specific area of your body. He Listens!
OC Fitness Coach is not only in an amazing location, but is a great personal training studio.

Personally I feel so much more energetic and encouraged to continue to reach my goals with the help and guidance of Dan and his team.

Great trainers. Dan , Taran and Russ all know how to get me results I am looking for. Good nutrition advice and coaching with very specific workouts that are a lot of fun. Best trainers I have seen. Located right on the Lake in Mission Viejo.

So, Dan hired 2 more trainers. He made arrangements so that I can get the training from each trainer once a week.

Russ is Dan's old friend with the official Insanity instructor certificate. He uses the technique and methods of Insanity and P90X. At the end, his training is really hard.

Another trainer, Teran, is now working on his PhD in physiology (if I remember right...) and teaches at the college in Fullerton. His training is very unique. No cardio, no heavy weight but every time he trains me, I feel like I ran a full marathon.

OC Fitness Coach is not a typical fitness/personal training studio. You can get 3 trainers with different technique and methods. This might confuse you at first but soon, I'm sure, you will find so much fun and more effective!

Simply the best. Workout is demanding. Russ and Dan don't let you fool around. If you are looking for real results, this is the place. Lots of pain and sweat. You do have to work hard outside the gym as well but this will form the best base for the rest of your weekly routine.

I have been going to OC Fitness coach and training with Dan and russ for just over three months, and the results speak for themself. I have lost 26 pounds from eating healthy and working out consistently every week in the short time with the guidance and training from OC Fitness coach. I have been taking personal training from Dan at OC Fitness Coach for about 7 months now and have been extremely satisfied with my results based up my training received by Dan. I have done personal training in the past at 24 Hour Fitness and two other personal trainers. What I enjoy about Dan is that I feel that I am getting a great workout and I can actually see the results in my body. I was not looking to lose weight and not really looking to bulk up. Dan listened to my needs and created a work out plan that was customized to what I wanted. I currently work out three days a week with him as a semi-private and private client. I like the personal attention from a private session once a week as it allows us to work together in tweaking the program to fit my goals. Dan is professional and experienced and it shows in his coaching. Being a semi-private client, I have worked out with about ten of Dan's other clients and have been able to personally see the different and caring attention that he gives to each person. I'm always impressed that Dan remembers the workouts and weights from a week ago (for example) which has you not waste time going back and forth changing weights to give you more time working out. The workouts that I also receive do not leave me feeling completely sore and hurting the next day. I feel that I have worked out, but I feel stronger and healthier. Dan also stresses eating right and exercising at home--which I am still working on! My advice is to skip the big clubs and their inexperienced trainers and take an introductory session with Dan, the OC Fitness Coach. I think you will be happy that you did.
