Orange theory Glendale has become my absolute favorite way to work out. The coaches are top notch and truly keep you accountable all while still allowing you to move and grow at your own pace. I love coming to class after a long day of work where I just want to shut off my brain and not think about what work out I need to do, how many reps or what machines are available. OTF does that for me and I just have to follow along. It is amazing to unplug and unwind and get my daily movement in. Coach Michael, DJ and Joe have amazing attitudes are always positive and not to mention the best play lists (especially those early 2000s throw back days!) I have fallen in love with working out all over again thanks to OTG Glendale. Recommended to quite a few friends already.

Love my OTF gym! Started a little over a year ago. Coaches are great, friendly and super helpful in giving workout tips and alternatives as well as advice for eating habits. I’ve been an Orangetheory member for nearly three years, joining after a long hiatus from working out. It’s the longest I’ve committed to any program, so suffice to say I enjoy it.

Here’s what I’ve learned since I joined:

-If you’re new or coming back after a break, you shed weight fast and it’s noticeable.

-Classes are never boring. Even after years, I’m still being introduced to new exercises.

-The heart rate monitor sets Orangetheory apart. The monitor logs all your data to track progress over time while doing little work on your end. Their data is more user friendly than data I get from my Apple Watch and pivotal to challenging my workouts.

-They’ve added more strength-based training classes, which has added more variety to their classes and kept me motivated to stay. Because it’s slower paced, I’m constantly adjusting weights based on the exercise for gradual improvements and it’s been pretty effective to gaining muscle, pushing myself, and exercising in correct form.

I’ve visited other Orangetheory studios, but Glendale stands out because the coaches here have been pretty stable and consistent since I joined. You build relationships with them, and they get to know you pretty well too.

Some thoughts on the coaches:

• Coach Michael: There’s almost too much good to say about Michael. He’s the head coach, and his passion for coaching is self-evident. He excels at demonstrating exercises, sharing fitness knowledge, offering modifications, and keeping things realistic. He’s patient, creative, and always finds ways to make classes fun (there’s usually a music theme in his playlist). He also plays music methodically for an extra boost, which pushes me to work harder. Watching his flexibility during demos is pretty unreal—he makes challenging exercises look effortless. People travel to this studio just to train with Michael because he’s that incredible.
• Coach Alex: Alex’s energy is infectious. She’s endlessly positive and motivational, and somehow, after her classes, I’m always sore (in a good way). She pushes you to make small adjustments that lead to big improvements.
• Coach DJ: If you want to witness someone effortlessly demo heavy weights like they’re lifting cotton candy, check out DJ. His arms defy gravity.
• Coach Joe: Joe is all about stretching and calisthenics. He introduces unique stretches and explains why each movement matters, which I really appreciate.
• Coach Eric: I haven’t had many chances to work with Eric since his classes are in the mornings, but the few times I’ve gone, he’s played the best music and brought the chillest, relaxed vibe to the class.

Overall, I’ve made great progress in my fitness, despite not having any specific goals when I joined. I just wanted to get active, but I’ve ended up investing way more in my health and fitness than I ever planned to.

I can't recommend OTF at Glendale enough! Where do I start? The staff is AMAZING. Shut out to the workers on the front that promptly answer texts and calls. It happened so many times that I had to cancel my classes last minute, and texted them, they canceled my classes with no question asked.

Now, shut out to all the coaches, each one of them are amazing, nice, kind and so motivational. I take my classes early in the morning with Eric and Joe, these two are the nicest coaches ever! They always make sure I do the lifting correctly, and don't leave my sight until I get it right!
Michael and DJ are also amazing, but the timing of their classes don't go with my schedule.

In other words you can't go wrong with taking classes with any of the coaches!

The place is super clean, and the environment is super friendly not intimidating.

I've always avoided group classes because I'm introvert, shy and I don't like competition. But this place makes me feel I belong! Thank you OFT Glendale! You guys rock!

I have been taking classes here for over a year and, honestly, it has been amazing. The front desk personnel are always so jovial when greeting each member upon arrival (also, props to remembering everyone's name for us regulars).

I also wanted to shout-out a few of the coaches here: DJ, Michael, and Alex, you guys are always so supportive and helpful during each class. I was a Monday regular and Alex is probably one of the best coaches I have ever had at any fitness class I have taken.

Unfortunately, due to my upcoming move out of state, I will no longer be able to take classes here. I will miss all the coaches and, especially, the Monday night OTF crew.

Worst OTF location - dark, dank and stuffy inside. No outdoor light or comes in. Very small space. Weight are is especially cramped. Workouts are lackluster and coach was monotonous and low energy. Won’t be back to this location. Also somehow this location is a premium and an extra $10 over Northern California. Rip off. Shame.

The coaches vibe and motivation encourages you to work harder to better yourself physically and mentally. Also appreciate their concern to detail when it comes to body mechanics and safety. They also involve all individuals regardless if you are a new or seasoned member.
No one gets left behind.

The workouts are always challenging but doable. Never the same regimen so it is always fun and never boring.

The equipment is top notch. After using an OTF treadmill other treadmills do not compare!
From TRX, Bosu, Med balls, bodyweight, etc. A variety of means to challenge the body in different ways.

Most of all, studio is spotless, smells good not like a musty gym and well ventilated.

Also appreciate the OTF Glendale members for having class and respect when taking care of the studio. No ill attitudes or , " Im better than you," with regard to associating with other members. And from wiping down equipment and returning them to their respective places.

Can't say enough of all the positivity that I have experienced so far.

Working out at Orange Theory has become THE BEST PART of my day. It is located in the heart of Glendale, they offer convenient parking spaces with validation. Booking and communicating with the staff is effortless, as they are prompt in responding to texts and calls. The studio is clean, and they have towels in the shower area.
They've got two kinds of classes: the 2G, where you do 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of lifting, and a 45-minute all-out lifting session.
But what really rocks are the coaches. The OTF coaches are truly exceptional. Their professionalism and support stands out. They not only demonstrate the exercises for the entire class but also assist anyone who is having difficulty, questions, or needs alternatives for certain reasons.
Another major plus is that each coach has a unique playlist that matches the pace of the workout. Shoutout to Alex B, DJ, and Michael for making my workouts effective and motivational.

This is actually the best OT that I’ve been at in this area.

1.) Very clean & spacious
2.) They have showers and towels and shampoo and soap and conditioner (some OT do not have this)
3.) Great location and they validate parking in the garage.

Customer service

1.) I have no clue who the young lady with the blonde hair is, but she is literally the nicest person in the world. She clearly loves her job and respects the people there. She is very attentive and kind. I watched her kindly explain the rules to someone. She was not aggressive (like other OT reviews have stated at other OT locations) rude or dismissive.

2.)The coach: I really feel like I look like a hippo when I workout but the coach is just so nice. He’s very encouraging and he kindly corrects the form of every single person in the gym. He is also very attentive and pushes us. He doesn’t slack on his job just because we’re a later class. He comes in with energy and kindness and I do appreciate it.

I travel a lot and I go to a lot of OT’s around the world. This is (if not the best) my favorite OT hands down. No cap!

I’m loving OrangetheorY 🧡 Big fan of the '3G class' because it’s like a circuit class - the rower, floor/weight work 🏋🏼 and the treadmill.

Also love💛 love🔶 The 'LIFT 45 because it’s resistance training with weights, TRX and floor work.

The group partner 3G class ☘️On Saint Patrick’s Day☘️was bussin’. We were divided into teams of 3 people each and did a round robin circuit on the rowers, the strength floor and the treads. Kicked our butts 💯 and also exhilarating. ★Fast-paced for sure. 💃🏼

Coaches Michael and DJ are 💯 and have great music 🎼playlists.

The clientele are friendly, encouraging, and include people from all levels of fitness…very much a motivating atmosphere. ★★

I am a full-fledged member of the OTG cult, so whenever I travel, finding the closest OTF is one of the first things that do.

The Glendale studio is consistent with the OTF vibe, the staff was helpful, and Jake was a great coach.

Give yourself a little time to park as it is located in a commercial area. there is a free lot just around the corner. I did a Lift45 here and I will say that it is pretty tight, so be prepared to get cozy for the 45.

I shall start by saying that while I have always been active (I was a marathon and trail runner and have been a martial artist), I was not in my best place mentally or physically when I started at Orange Theory Glendale. I was also not a "morning person", especially during the pandemic, but was convinced I wanted to change certain aspects of my life - and having a consistent and productive morning routine was one of them. I started OTF-Glendale at the end of November 2021 and I must confess I am addicted. I normally attend the 6:30 am classes and as step out I am energized and ready to take over my day. The days I don't workout I feel off - almost like running your day without coffee (for those who drink it, like me) - but we all need our recovery days too. For those not familiarized with the workouts, well, everyday you get both cardiovascular- and strength-training intervals broken up into blocks with breaks in-between. You get to use plenty of equipment (treadmill, rower, free weights, TRX, bands, etc.) to hit various body parts and goals. I like that the workouts are effective and well-balanced - which is great way to stay fit, especially if you are a busy individual that spends a lot of time in front of a screen. I am a scientist and I code a lot, so much of my day is spent in front of a computer and/or meetings and working out at OTF has helped with my posture. I also like that you don't have to worry about a complicated training plan - you just show up and your workout is planned for you. No workout is the same, but there are some basic styles you get to experience every week, which is great because you can assess how you progress in time. I also like there are challenges and "signature workouts" in which you can establish certain benchmarks, revisit them and also break your own records. While you are working out in a group, you can personalize and modify your workout to your own level and/or how you feel that day. I also love the trainers: they inspire and motivate you with their words and music, but they also correct your form when needed and challenge you when they know you can give that little extra push. I have started to see changes in my body (loser clothes, defined muscles and better performance, which is great), but I think most of my changes have been mental and emotional - which is even better! I highly recommend everyone to give it a try!

Honestly, I am very disappointed in the staff. They are very neglectful and have no regards for any customers. I went inside looking forward to working out but instead I turned around and walked out the door and went to Gold's Gym. It has better quality and knows how to treat customers. While I'm not a huge fan of the OTF app, I'm a major fan of the Glendale studio. In total transparency, I've only been going for about a week and a half, but everyone - from the front desk staff to the coaches - has been accommodating, kind, and encouraging. What a great team they have there! I've done yoga for many years, Insanity, and other workout regimes, and I can say that this has provided maybe the funnest way to fill an hour working out throughout the day that I've found. My cousins recommended this place for us to both go to, to start of the new year and I had an amazing time. All the employees are super friendly and have a positive attitude. Me and my cousin got Trent as our trainer/coach and he was very nice and super supportive the whole time. I liked the fact that during the workout Trent would acknowledge everyone that pushed it. He was very motivational and the music is not only fun but really pumps you up. After the workout, Trent went over with us our data from the workout from the calories we burned to our heart rate and what to focus on. Right after that first session, we booked another session right away.

I love the workouts at orange theory! Everyone is super nice. The only reason for the minus 2 star is because they advertise that you get the attention like a personal trainer, but I never see any of the trainers helping the clients with their form or really pushing them. I see people frequently having bad form and the trainers are only walking back and forth through the room. They’re amazing! I just am confused why nobody is helping those with improper form to do the exercises correctly to prevent injury. But if you want a really solid workout, then go! Maybe you can let the trainer for the class know ahead of time that you might need some help with the exercises though if you want to do them correctly.

Every time I walk into OTF Glendale the staff is always greeting me by name with a huge smile. The workouts are always different and never seem to get easier. I went to try a free class and wasn't able to get in because I didn't come over 30 min early. Which is fine I would still go back, however now they keep calling me and texting me every other day about coming back. I even called and asked to have my number removed and they said it was taken care of, still getting texts from them. For this reason I will not be back.

Coaches and staff are wonderful! Coaches are motivating and really help me push myself. Staff is awesome - very kind, helpful and smile every time I am there - eve when sometimes I am there at 5 am- it helps a lot. I am a big fan of interval training as it doesn’t bore me .

Workouts are different every time I am there.
I love the fact that I can monitor my progress during a workout and actuallly be able to push myself during the workout to be in the orange level. It has helped a lot with my goals.

I have only been going to OTG since August 2017 and already I feel a difference in my body, strength and my endurance level.

I've been going since it opened. All of the coaches are wonderful and the location and parking are very convenient. These are intense workouts and there is nowhere to hide, so be ready! you can set your own pace and the heart rate zones help you figure this out. After a couple classes you get the hang of it.

You need to book your classes ahead 3-4 classes ahead or you will be waitlisted.

When I first started coming I was very tight at first in the quads, it is a lot of running to get used to (usually 20-25 mins), but the treadmills are very high quality with a good "give" on the tread, so not like running on a cheap hotel tread.

The only thing is you won't bulk up here if that is what you are looking for - it's more of a "leaning out" workout with toning, but you have to go up in weight. You have to push yourself on the floor and know what good form is to get max benefits in that section of the workout.

That all said, being able to watch my zones is a game changer for my workouts. I love that there is so much calorie burning challenge packed in only one hour. In the 7 months I've been coming I've seen big change in my endurance, speeds and tone.

I love that it's a different workout every time and that the trainers really motivate you to do your best. I've had three different trainers (Greg, Taylor and Morgan) and I absolutely love them all.
