Greg came highly recommended and everything I was told was very true. First off he is very careful to assess what your fitness level is then works from that point. If you don’t feel comfortable with a part of the work out he has many other options to get you where you want to go. If something is hurting he changes up the workout to help build up the area’s around the problem spot. I’m 67 years old and hadn’t done a sit-up since I was in the Army (1979). I told him that was just NOT going to happen, well guess what I was the one who was wrong. Now I do a couple hundred sit-ups a day. He has a very supportive you can do attitude. And best of all he is just a super nice person I always look forward to seeing!

I have been working out with Greg Kent for 18 months. Not only has my strength vastly improved but my back and shoulder pain are much better. I should also note that I'm a local primary care physician, and I routinely refer my patients to Greg. I researched multiple gyms and personal trainers before choosing to work with Greg. He is not only warm, friendly and funny, but he has an extensive knowledge base and personalizes his programs for each of my patients. Greg has improved the fitness and confidence of my seniors, helped my patients with osteoporosis improve their bone density, and helped athletes recover function after an injury. Greg is an amazing trainer, and anyone who gets to work with him should consider themselves lucky.

I have been working with Greg for some time now. I first approached Greg because I was an avid runner but due to some health issues with my legs I could no longer run. I was worried about not maintaining my health fitness by giving up on running but he assured me that I can achieve better results by incorporating strength training into my fitness program. He has been and continues to be instrumental in helping me achieve my fitness goals. Greg is very knowledgeable about the body and how it works not only in relation to the exercises but also with proper nutrition. He is patient, understanding, comfortable to work with, encouraging and motivating. The workouts are tailored to my needs and as such I am stronger, I am lighter, and I am healthier without having to do excessive cardio. I highly recommend Greg as a personal trainer.

TLDR: Six stars, highly recommend!! ( I get it, I’m wordy).

Please understand when you read this review that I don’t actually like to exercise. In fact, I usually try to avoid most things that require physical exertion or discomfort as a general rule. Despite this, I’ve been happily working out with Greg three times a week for over a year, because he is just that good. I agree with a previous reviewer who said that Greg meets you where you are. He’s helped me recover from chronic low back pain and other injuries, not to mention being very intimated by gyms, weights, and well, exercise in general. That’s where I started, but Greg also makes sure you end up at a place that’s so much better than you ever thought you could be. His approach emphasizes resilience, functional strength, and overall health, not just developing a “gym bod” (although I will say, my arms and shoulders have never looked better in a tank top, thanks to him). Greg actively stays current on the latest health and fitness research while also staying grounded in tried-and-true principles. I’ve learned so much during the course of our sessions. He is incredibly knowledgeable about programming effective, targeted exercises that are appropriately challenging, but just as important for me, he is also delightful company during the workouts. He’s actually hilarious, super engaging, and just an incredibly nice person all around. It’s plainly evident that he truly cares and wants to help his clients improve their health and reach their goals, and he puts in the work to try to get us there. Not to brag or anything, but I never thought I could be as strong as I am today, and I’m convinced that this man made it happen; I just had to show up. While it would be a stretch to say that I love exercise now, during each session with him, I honestly end up forgetting that I actually don’t like to exercise. That’s quite a feat!

If you’ve read this far, it’s clear that I highly recommend his services. It’s no wonder that Greg is often booked, but I just want to say that if you are looking for a personal trainer, it is so worth it to get on his waitlist. If you’re lucky enough to get a chance to work with him, get on that! Totally worth the investment!

I look forward to my personalized workouts with Greg. At 67, I feel stronger and healthier than ever! He has taught me so much about fitness and nutrition. He recently helped me rehabilitate a chronic knee injury that required surgery. Greg meets you where you are, no matter how old you are or what limitations you may have!
