This was a great gym until they recently replaced all the aerobic equipment with Matrix equipment. What a freaking disaster. The Matrix aerobic equipment is terrible! The elliptical is not useable and several friends and family have reported pain after using it. The Lifefitness equipment was great and worked well. Why replace it? After they changed the equipment the gym had half as many people working out. As my wife says if it's not broke don't change it. They should bring back several of the ellipticals or I will change gyms.

I signed up because they told me the times I wanna go were the slowest. Every single time I’ve gone since then it has been busy. People stay on a machine for 45mins-1 hour. I really haven’t been able to use a smith machine besides one time because someone had just left it. High schoolers will crowd a spot with 3-4 friends and it’s super annoying. The other day during my workout I even overheard someone asking how many sets someone had, he said he had been waiting to use that machine for 2 days so he was gonna do 9.. there just isn’t enough equipment or space. People sit on their phones and hog stuff to long. I’ve never seen so many people also talk on the phone while working out, which probably also is why it takes so long for them to finish sets.

I do not recommend this location if you like to get a workout in smoothly and quickly. They badly need a second location or larger gym here. It is always packed whether you go in early afternoon or evening. Every machine is taken up and it can make getting in a workout anroyal pain.

I really like coming here. However, I signed up because I love the 30 minute circuit training. I never get to do a full cycle because people just ignore the signs and hangout on the machines. No staff ever monitor it or say anything when I complain. It’s unfortunate because it’s a great thing to have.

This is my home gym! I'm here every night, and I don't skip a beat. The staff is friendly and the gym is always kept so tidy and clean. You can't beat the prices, either! If you are anything like me, I want to have everything in one stop. I'm able to work out, tan, use the red light therapy machines, and even the massage chairs all for $25 a month. Score! 👍🏼✨️

Don't visit this gym if you have allergies. The management refuses to clean it properly. The floor is almost always very dusty. I have pointed it out to them many times, but they don't seem to care. You can literally write your name in the dust!!! That gets stirred up and we breath it. Lots of people complain about it, but nothing happens. They are simply out of touch with their customers.

Oh, and I read the response from the owner. They obvious are not paying attention. I HAVE brought it to the attention of the management many times. It has absolutely no effect.

I’ve started going here maybe for a month now and I love it except can they PLEASE turn the ac on more !? I’m halfway through my workout feeling like I’m going to throw up from over heating . The members at this place have the worst gym etiquette I've ever seen. They seriously stay on a weight machine for 1/2 hour. They also tell you "I was on that machine", when they're using the machine next to it......Bunch of weak high schoolers flexing in the bathroom mirror shirtless, taking pictures of themselves, thinking they're cool.
As soon as i see these ignorant youngsters doing dumbbell curls right in front of the dumbbell rack, blocking all the rest of the weights, I just walk right in front of them interrupting their workout, and then ignore them. Ugh. My planet fitness home gym in Illinois is not like this one.

For my last couple visits it’s been either uncomfortable or extremely rude directly from their from staff. Alex who is pretty much always up front when my partner and I go randomly asks us for my separate plus one barcode and would not let us move on until we scanned the second code. It was a weird and uncomfortable situation considering we’ve been such regulars. Additionally, came back again today and asked how to connect to the WiFi and was extremely dismissive and and basically ignored us, turned around and clocked out to leave.

Decided to start 2024 by trying to get fit before my trip to the Bahamas in May. First time in a gym in over 10 years. At age 70, today was tough but this gym lives up to the advertising. This place is always clean, well staffed, and a friendly environment.
The only thing they lack are more of the high traffic machines.
1. Only one pectoral fly machine!!!
2. Only one glute machine, and only in 30 min express workout.

Idk about everyone else, but I care about my glutes. Wish it was in the primary area and had another one available.
The pectoral fly machine is essential to my chest day. I NEVER get to use it because of two things.
1. There’s only one available and everyone wants it.
2. When old people get on it, they stay on it for AN HOUR.
This sounds insensitive, but they should restrict use to those who stay on it and aren’t willing to share or do something else.

Please get at least two more pectoral fly machines.

I was very excited to see this facility as I was torn between this place and another for home gym. I was amazed by how pretty and big it was. Everything was great, place was clean of course. I had no problems... until I was leaving. An employee I have never seen before that moment decided to blurt out in front of everyone " I know that's the only reason you come to the gym" noticing I had showered because of the bag and towel in my hand. She even repeated herself once more. What business is that of hers to so unprofessionally blurt out as Im leaving and in front of everyine? I was so offended and felt judged and embarrassed. The first thing I noticed when joining was how clean the facilities were. It's usually not crowded and being 24 hours is convenient. You can't beat the price for all the equipment available, tanning and several massage chairs and hydro massage beds as well. Several things could make the facility better like a dry sauna and maybe an area for the kids to play while you get in a workout. Otherwise this is well worth the $.

I was visiting family and decided I still needed to get my workout in. I found this gym to be clean well staffed, and the staff was very friendly. My only real complaint is that it's a very small location, some of the workout areas seem a little cramped and the exercise balls were a little under-inflated. However I did love that this location had the full bed type Hydro massage, I found I enjoyed it more than the reclined bed that is offered at my home location.

I’ve been a member of PF for years. Over the summer they allow teens in for free. Ever since then it’s just a bunch of teens and I mean daily there is a gang of them and they take up a ton of space and equipment. After I was so graciously blessed by becoming comfortable in my Covid induced sedentary lifestyle, I’m finally back to the gym. Every time I start going back it’s incredibly nerve wracking to take those steps from the car and into the front door. This time I opened the doors to an aesthetically appealing, and clean gym which soothed my nerves instantly. The people that greeted me and bid me goodbye were incredibly friendly, which made it even better.
I’m an overweight woman in my early 20’s and generally self-conscious about working out in front of and near others. The spaciousness of the gym and the lack of a crowd made for a superior ‘first time back’ workout (Friday at 6:30pm for crowd reference). I only found myself feeling a little overwhelmed in the abs and stretching area, but as I get more comfortable with the equipment and become more confident I know that uneasiness will dissipate. I’m super excited to keep coming back!
I would definitely recommend this planet fitness to anyone looking to start working out again for a very agreeable monthly rate.

I've heard many things about planet fitness, (negative things). To clear those negatives about pf, they don't use the lunk alarm alot (only when people are really being annoying), the machines are clean, the people there aren't as bad or judgemental (they just mind their own business). Planet fitness offers a spa, bathroom/locker room, water refilling station, other equipment that most gyms don't have. The cons to this place is that the water tastes really bad (to me), the deadlift/bench press machines are scuffed (meaning they are connected to rods and it's not really effective when doing deadlifts/bp).

Came to this location from out of town. First visit. Also newer to PF.
I’ve been to several locations and all of them have the “no judgement” slogan as something they work by, but sometimes the most judgment I feel bing made is by the staff.
I did not experience that here. Came in feeling a bit un-eased (new area, new environment, new experience, new set of people around) but spoke with Marissa and she was super helpful. I was fully walked through all the questions I had. She took the time to just make me feel human, that my questions were not just “a waste of time” and she seemed as though she was happy to continue assisting if I needed anything further.
I will repeat this location again to workout! I hope I continue to find the level of service that Marissa is offering in other location/ areas as I travel.

I’ve been coming here since it opened and I love it. It is large, it has plenty of equipment where you don’t have to wait for others to finish even at the peak hours, out-of-order equipment is fixed right away, and most importantly it is very clean Staff is nice and attentive for the most part. There are some who have a more passive-aggressive attitude and who need a bit more training- like Jacob who greatly embarrassed me when he kicked my guest out of the gym even though I have premier membership... and there are those like Jessica who is quiet and respectful and does a super thorough job of cleaning the equipment, the floors, and even the lockers. And of course there is Darlene who is a true example of professionalism and excellence; she is nice, attentive and very observant. When she is on duty everyone is welcomed and acknowledged by their first name, supplies get replenished immediately, lose equipment gets put back where it belongs, etc, The entire gym is in good hands when she is on duty.
If there was one thing that would make this gym even better is to offer combination locks at the front desk so new members can buy them right when they sign up. That would prompt people to put their purses, backpacks, jackets, etc., in the lockers and not take stuff with them to the workout area.
Overall a great workout place! I did recommend it to several friends and will recommend it in the future. Thank you!

I always visit Planet Fitness sometime in the middle of the night/ very early a.m. due to a hectic schedule... So at about 2:30 a.m. I was pleasantly surprised when one of the young men working the overnight shift actually got up and came over to hold the door open for me since I was carrying a very heavy and bulky shower bag. Not only that but the other young man behind the desk was incredibly friendly and understanding and did not make me feel unwelcome at all. On top of that, I probably had the best "gym shower" that I've had since joining Planet Fitness a little over a month ago. and since joining a little over a month ago, I have visited and showered at the majority of locations in the greater Sacramento area, and thus far Rocklin takes the cake! The shower head was an actual normal handheld shower head with great pressure and the water was hotter than any other location by far!

Just good people minding their own business while working out among everyone else. The only down fall that I see. Is that nobody is really pushing themselves either. Which is important for any type of growth or weight loss depending on your goals
