SMDC is Sierra Madre's premier dance school and pre-professional training program. Sierra Madre Dance Center offers classes in classical ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary for ages 3 to 18.
Every year our students have performance opportunities with an annual recital, a full production of The Nutcracker, plus the opportunity to compete at local and regional dance competitions.
Our goal is to create an encouraging, caring, and rigorous environment where all levels thrive and are continually challenged to grow.

Sierra Madre Dance center is a wonderful place for your child to learn all forms of dance. The teachers are loving and caring but also well trained and eager to mentor your children. They do a great child Nutcracker performance and have a yearly recital. Their prices are not too expensive and the more classes your dancer takes the more discounts they offer. I highly recommend this studio.

I thoroughly love coming here for the adult Barre classes!! The classes are enjoyable and productive - my muscles have become so strong and my balance has improved tremendously. I am the oldest member of the class and the instructor is so kind and encouraging🤗 I attend both weekly classes and truly enjoy each session. Kudos to Ms. Amie!

Very wonderful experience with SMDC, the teachers really communicate with kids well that my girl started to show great interest in ballet and always wants to share any new dance skills she learnt from class. And the nutcracker show and recital performance are such great stage opportunities for kids to have an idea of where the dance journey would lead.

Can't say enough good things about this dance experience for my daughter. We tried two other schools before this one, took a break during the pandemic and then after hearing good things from friends, tried SMDC. My daughter loves dance, loves her teachers and loves the friends she's made at the school. The studios are beautiful and everything is very well organized - which makes my life easier. I used to be a dancer and dance teacher myself back in the day and when I watch the classes, I can say with some confidence that the tuition is top-notch - these teachers are dancers through and through. There are some students at the school who are incredibly advanced and then you have learners and everything inbetween and I like that all levels are welcomed. There is no leaning toward one dance experience level over the other - all are treated equally. Anyway - if you are thinking about choosing a dance school, I'd recommend this one no doubt.

Great instructor and a beautiful, elegant, charming studio. I am taking classes to prepare for my theater production and I am truly a horrible dancer but the instructor was absolutely terrific and patient with me. I also started doing Yoga for my lower back pain and that is helping tremendously. Great experience!
