I had my first class at the SaMo studio and took Allison V’s class on Monday evening... I absolutely loved it! The workout struck the perfect balance of challenging yet doable, while still pushing me beyond my limits and motivating me to reach new heights. The playlist was fantastic too, with a great mix of genres that made the class even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to come back for another one of Allison V’s classes!

Worst customer service. Came to this location for the first time. Front desk staff can’t even get an email right! They are the face of the brand!

Gina is one of the worst instructors. She doesn’t even ride the bike. She then spent time complaining about politics and her therapist which has nothing to do with the class I paid for. We aren’t here to be your therapist, Gina. And we don’t care about your political beliefs. Maybe focus on doing your job instead of 1) not riding the bike 2) lazily having us ride in the dark, 3) not curating a good workout, and 4) not instructing (which is what an instructor does). I honestly just did my own workout the entire class and did better than listening to her.

First time. The instructor kept making judgmental comments shaming the audience if we didn’t do this or that. Prefer not to come back.

Review for instructor, the facilities are amazing: I am unsure why Gina is leading a class, especially after more reviews criticizing her class. I usually loooove soul cycle, but today I took the most mediocre cycling course ever here at Soul Cycle Santa Monica. The instructor was late and did not even ride the bike herself (another girl was riding for her). There was little to no choreography and she would have us sprint in the dark for minutes, which honestly just seemed lazy on her part. The music wasn't awesome either. She didn't even lead a stretch. At the end she said "thank you, New Yorkers" which seemed odd because we're in Santa Monica. If this were my first Soul Cycle class, I would not return. If I did not buy the unlimited pass, I would say Gina's class is not worth the money. Thankful that I know how great the classes can be. Will not be taking a class with Gina ever again.

I used to love soulcycle back in the beginning (back when kym non stop was an instructor). I came to class today for the first time in a while at this location. I came knowing I would have to modify class because I’m injured at the moment. But I still showed up, excited for class. Lisa came up to my bike, was incredibly aggressive and showy for the rest of the class to notice, and cranked up my resistance. It was in a very condescending way. Rude. Will not be coming back. Go elsewhere!

Soul cycle has always been 10/10. The energy and atmosphere here are like no other. I tried a few more cycling classes in the area, and would cycle is by far the best one I’ve tried.
Their trainers are all great, the bikes are in excellent condition, and the music is fire. The facility is clean, and the people at the front desk are super attentive and helpful.
If it’s your first class, you get the cycling shoes for free.
Parking- free 90 minutes parking at the lot on 4th street (4th & Wilshire, right near T-Mobile), plus street parking by the meters.

It’s been a minute since I took a SoulCycle class and was ready to get back on the bike and so glad I did! Maisy was the instructor and taught THE BEST SoulCycle class I have ever taken. Not only did she have a shazam-worthy playlist but brought the best energy and made sure everyone was set up properly and pushed the entire class to the limit! No better feeling than SoulCycle endorphins! Cant wait for my next class!

Soul Cycle Santa Monica is the best. My favorite teacher there is Hana, she is incredibly kind, friendly and not to mention a talented teacher who will both push and support you. Her music is fun and her energy is unmatched. 10/10 recommend Hana’s class!

The staff change constantly… a lot of locations are closing and I just don’t get the same vibe I use to going there :( I think the business is going down?

Trash that you can’t go back into class if you need to use the restroom. Waste of time, this place blows to the maximum level.

Typically I have a sanctuary experience at SoulCycle where I’m able to decompress and really be mindful to get the best out of my workout but my bike was completely off (bike 28) with cracking noises and instability with my pedal at Pixie’s class. I found the front desk to be dismissive of the fact of my experience when I gave them a heads up of the bike issue and was furious to learn that someone who had taken a double class claimed that bike had done the same noise earlier in the previous class. I genuinely didn’t feel like I had a class because I battled between feeling that I could be harmed vs working out. I’d be open to discussing this review further because I believe I deserve a refund.

I went this morning to Gina’s class. It was her first class of the day. She didn’t get on the bike with us instead she had her husband on her bike, brad, he didn’t even follow her instructions and wasn’t keeping up with the class. She was wearing a hoodie...not in workout wear.
The bikes were dirty and there were no cleaning supplies to clean the bikes before using them. They give you headphones that may also be dirty because everyone is sweating so much. After class I tried to use hand sanitizer but it was empty. They saw that I couldn’t get any sanitizer and just ignored the fact that they had to refill or offer me some.
Bad vibe and experience now that they are outside.
Don’t buy a package of classes before trying this location.

This review isnt for the studio but for the instructor! I've never been to a class before where the instructor barely even gets on the bike. Todd was playing DJ the whole time and didnt hop on the bike to get the class into a good rhythm well into the 3rd song! He would stay on the bike for 15 seconds and hop off. He never corrected anyones form, the class was all over the place with our choreography. $30/class for the instructor to play DJ and not get the riders in sync with each other is not good... if it's your first time to a class, dont go with Todd!!

This is my neighborhood studio so I walk here but there's 90 min with validation across the street. Always challenging. Everyone knows it's pricey but I love the music , the motivation, the investment the teachers make in you. For me it's great for when I'm short on time and need a quick good work out where I can't slack off. Only con for me is the price --I'd have to live in my car to go as often as I want. Clean studios. Friendly staff. Don't be intimidated to try it... my mom is in her 60s and has done it with me on visits.

Took Molly's class for my fist SoulCycle class ever and she is AMAZING! Full of energy, great beats, a little crazy (we all need this, trust me), and lots of Molly fans in class. Checkin and retail was extremely friendly and facilities were very clean.

Went in for a 8AM class was told it was full, although I seen others still coming in after me. Then I paid and registered for the 11:15 class was told my spot would be secured, the girl at the desk showed me the sitting chart and explained where exactly I will be seated in class because those spaces were opened I do not live in the
area to go home and come back so I went and had a cup of coffee then walked around till about 10:45 received a call from a male clerk at soul cycle asking me to take the 12:15 class? because 11:15 was full. I was so upset and could not believe as a paying customer they had missed-guided not once but twice. I am a manager in customer service and could not believe that they would have the audacity to call a customer and cancel once again, I do not recommend this facility nor will I go back

TRUST. I was ready for change, to GET OUT OF MY HEAD, more physical rigor, more challenge, MORE SWEAT, diverse music, warm/authentic people and to get lean and mean safely and quickly. I am athletic, strong and a picky New Yorker. So I trusted a NYC BFF and tried SoulCycle. Beyond words. I am leaner, happier, stronger and injury-free. SoulCycle and more specifically - SoulCycle Santa Monica is THE BEST AEROBIC FITNESS FACILITY I have ever trusted with my body and money (it ain't cheap and there are no time-wasters or cruisers permitted). We gather, sync, ride and sweat. Period. SoulCycle guides Gina, Ben B., Laura, Patrick, Sunny - ALL spin my physical and spiritual soul into a frenzy that results in a satisfaction that buzzes me for hours. Just move it.
