I've tried a few gyms in the high desert and this is the worst so far. And blasting music insanely loud. If I can hear your music past noise cancelling headphones, it's way too loud

I had to cancel a previous membership back in 2023 because I had a serious illness and was undergoing treatment for about a year. Because I couldn't get around at the time the manager agreed to make an exception and cancel it via email. I recently went and got a new membership and was going to the gym regularly for about a week and a half. Today I walked in scanned my card and was stopped by Elvira. She was so incredibly rude to me and wouldn't allow me in. She said I was in collections for a previous membership. I have absolutely nothing on my credit in collections. I showed her the email I had from the previous manager agreeing to cancel my membership. I also told her I just paid for my new membership she wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. She called her manager Jessica F. And would not share with her what I was showing her. My proof. She kept saying I was reimbursed. What I was reimbursed for was the membership I canceled. They still charged me for my new membership. Her response to me saying that a manager Erin canceled and reimbursed me my old membership was "oh well they dont work here anymore" even with me showing her the email i am uploading here. She wouldn't listen to me and just humiliated me in front of other members. I left in tears. I went to Freedom Fitness and they where so kind. I got my workout in and a membership for me and my daughter there. Came home to make a report with my bank since I am being charged for a gym membership at The Gym and they won't let me in. I now realize why they have such low reviews. Elvira needs serious training on customer service.

Im in love <3 And now my hart is broken..
I was on a 4 week vacation from Norway to visit a childhood friend of mine in Apple Valley. Before flying over i found this gym and i was hoping for the best. Let me tell you... love at first sight. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere and vibe :-) love the staf! Always welcoming and vibrant faces that great you. It was genuinely disheartening to leave and go back to my gym in Norway. Apple Valley residents are lucky to have this fantastic gym in there community!

Phenomenal gym with a pretty great atmosphere. I've been going here since they opened and I've had no complaints aside from some minor inconvenience. It is on the smaller side of gyms that I've been to in the past, but as long you don't go during peak hours, you can get what you want done. Additionally, they do play my type of rock, pop, etc music which for me is a plus. Highly recommend this gym.

When I went to the gym it was a good place to go before and after work especially since it was either super early 2-4am or 9-11pm since I worked a lot but. Unfortunately I got serverly hurt at work and cancelled my gym membership. The girl that "cancelled" my membership didn't do it right in their system and didn't have any paperwork. And now I am being harassed by collectors for money for a membership that I thought was cancelled months ago, while I am already in a heated workers comp lawsuit that my employer insurance with no income to pay for this botched cancelation. I talked to a manager and while she was polite to my circumstances she basically said I was screwed over and there nothing she can do.

Nice gym but if you cancel cover yourself or they will stab you in the back as much as they can.

I really enjoyed going to the gym, the atmosphere was always really nice. It wasn't overly crowded even at it's busiest. The people that work there were always super friendly. It's not a huge gym and doesn't have many amenities ( no pool, hot tub, sauna) but the equipment selection was great!

Went to this gym to start my fitnesss journey since they gave me a promo. However I was billed $300 for the first month. Then when I worked out in a muscle tee, I overheard the staff making comments like ‘he shouldn’t be wearing that for his skinny figure’ and that shouldn’t be here. Honestly, Im just gonna get my money back and bounce. I rather work out at Planet fitness then this place. Thats how good THE GYM is..

Okay so my wife and I have been on a bike ride from Alaska and for the holidays we decided to stay in town and visit family. While here we wanted to find a gym so we could stay in shape so we found this one. And we are happy we did because this gym is not one of those that has more cardio equipment in it then weights. This one is a gym to lift in. And they have machines in here that I have not seen since being in a college football gym so we were stoked. As for the staff for the most part they are very pleasant. Always greeting you as you walk in and telling you to have a good day when you leave. Now that is not to say they are all great but for the most part they are. For the gym floor well it is pretty clean you still have people like every gym that does not know how to put there weights back and pick up after them selves but it is again better then most except for plant fitness but that gym is all most all cardio. As for the people that go there seems to be a good group. No issues, people are nice and ask if you are still using a machine. They also have weights and racks for power lifts as well which is great for us and then have a strip of carpet in there for sled work or tossing a tire which they do have. Now they also have cardio so don’t worry. They also sell a bunch of different supplements if you are into that and some clothes. Now today was the first disappointment while there. I was in the gym from 2 a.m to 4 a.m and I had to take a shower today. Well the showers themselves are huge. But only one has soap in it and it did not even have much in there. Also the water for me took about 5 minutes to get warm. Probably because no one has taken a shower for hours. I can deal with that. The part I can’t deal with is the drain had so much filth and hair on it. So gross. The bathroom it’s self not very clean. Maybe the guy working at night and pick up some of this. Or the only other negative we have is that they clean durning the morning why we workout. Why not have the cleaning staff go in late night or 12 a.m when not to many people are there? Just a question. But if I would had took a shower the first time we tried out this gym that would had been a deal breaker. We just like things clean. Now maybe this is a one off. But we like clean restrooms. But again this is a great gym in the desert. We would have gave it a 5 star if it were not for the dirty bathrooms and shower

The Gyn has loud blasting profanity in a public space. The volume inside is obnoxious. If you want more people stop catering to 14 year old music and respect the rights of the community who own neighboring businesses and shop here. Would love to stay but my husband wouldn’t be appreciative of the atmosphere.

Night shift Employee is very Rude and seams to be a Racist and everytime we have tried to make a purchase at night he always says the computer is down. Without seaming to care to find a option for the sale (THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE) We are canceling are gym membership consisting of 3 members and we also pay for a personal trainer .

Gyms can be very intimidating especially to people who are 'less than fit". With that being said I just enrolled at The Gym and it was very welcoming, the staff were very kind. The environment is not intimidating with dimmed lighting and great music. Even if the music isn't your cup of tea , it is great to get you moving. I even signed up for personal training with Yeny, and takes her time to explain everything and makes you feel at ease. Recommend 100%

I’m a silver sneakers member and have health issues. Upon arrival at this gym a little while ago I noticed that the towel was missing by the sanitizer spray where the members wipe down the machines due to COVID and other viruses. I immediately went to the front desk to request a towel. I was told by the gentleman in the front desk that I would need to buy one for 3$ or bring one from home. Makes no sense. Why would I want to spread others sweat and germs on my personal towel or risk bringing COVID to my house where both myself and my husband have health issues. I canceled my membership so I can go to a gym where the needs of members are met and valued.

This is the best gym I ever stepped in to. Everytime I enter, the staff are always welcoming me. The space in between machines is good. There's no long waits on certain machines on a busy day. It's always clean and neat both restrooms and gym area. I feel very comfortable to workout here without wondering if anyone is starring at me. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone and I'm glad I chose to start here for my weight loss journey!

How are they going to charge you the next months fee when you cancel. Literally won't be back in there and they make me pay another month. That's why I cancel. To not have to pay another month. The only thing I wish they would do is put out sanitary wipes to clean the machines between uses, or put out paper towels with the spray they have out.

I've was super depressed about life and my looks for a long time. I'm just so happy to work out with people who are positive, supportive and motivating me to Improve my health and achieving my fitness goals! My trainer suggested I get my teeth whitened as a way of rewarding myself for dropping so much weight. Now I'm looking muscular and have a great smile!
