The Bar Method Palos Verdes is a boutique fitness studio offering barre classes for students of all levels. The signature method uses your own body weight, the ballet barre and a few props to create a transformative workout that results in long, lean sculpted muscles. Not only does it reshape your entire body, but it allows you to channel your inner strength and leave class feeling strong, confident and poised. Highly-trained instructors customize the exercises to ensure they are safe and effective for any age and every body, including modifications for pregnant women and students with injuries. I’ve been doing Bar Method for almost 6 yrs (over 1,000 classes) and have seen this studio grow in terms of clients and teachers. I get energized for the day at the 6:15 am class. All the teachers know everyone by name and do hands on corrections in class. Like I said earlier, I’ve done over 1k classes and the teachers are still doing verbal and hands on corrections on me. Just because I’ve been doing this for so long, the teachers don’t cut me any slack. Overall, this studio has been a consistent work out and I enjoy the atmosphere and cleanliness. The fun challenges (like the current springo bingo) keeps us all on our toes.

I decided to enroll in Bar Method after gaining 60+ lbs during Covid. I was ashamed of my body and was afraid to work out with others. Everyone has been absolutely amazing. I love all of the teachers, and the people who work out are very kind. I haven't dropped a ton of weight, but I have learned how to have better posture, and I feel healthier and happier each class. I'm very glad that my fiance and I decided to try it out. I would recommend it to anyone, especially those who have back pain.

I found Bar Method Palos Verdes 4 years ago when I was looking for a new workout habit that I could sustain. With a compressed disc in my back, limited flexibility, and a history of giving up on workout habits, I was pleasantly surprised by Bar Method. Not only was I able to do all of the exercises with the modifications provided by the instructors (in any other workout class I've taken, I always had to sit out certain exercises due to my back issues and flexibility) but I enjoyed the classes and loved the community energy. After 4 years and through a pandemic, I still take classes regularly and our community is even stronger and more supportive. I highly recommend BMPV for anyone (of any fitness level) looking for a great workout, a safe workout, and a fun class surrounded by an incredibly supportive community.

I love Bar Method Palos Verdes. I moved here form the East Coast last spring and was hoping I would find a boutique studio offering classes focused on strength, toning, and flexibility and I found it! Not only is it the best overall workout, the instructors are very knowledgable and they don't hesitate to correct you when your form isn't correct. They also know how to modify exercises to fit various needs. The boutique is clean and the owner and staff are so friendly. They are always having contests and challenges that make it fun and any type of competition keeps it interesting. I encourage you to consider trying a class!

I love Bar Method. I sweat slowly & can feel the burn in my muscles. I definitely see results as well, in my body shape & waistline. The instructors are great as well. They adjust you so you are in the correct position.

Bar method at PV studio is my happy place. All the instructors are amazing. They all help you with your form so you don't hurt yourself and they recommend modifications if you are hurting anywhere. They are so nice and professional. I love love love my body transformation. I highly recommend this studio and this type of exercise if you want a toned, flexible, stronger body. I am loving the bar method workout! I've always been athletic but I've never been limber, graceful, flexible like a dancer or gymnast! I thought I'd throw myself into something new for my 52nd birthday and this has been a great gift to myself! It's been only two weeks but I've been attending a lot of classes. I'm feeling stronger and I am becoming more flexible. My legs were always strong but the bar method is definetly digging into new areas of muscle and strength that I never had! My core which has never been strong is improving and it is the reason I started the classes! My whole body is getting worked!!! There's a whole lot of shaking going on! I highly recommend it!!!!

The staff and instructors are incredibly supportive and welcoming. I am experiencing improved strength and flexibility all while being offered kindness and respect for what my body can and cannot yet do. The instructors give positive feedback to assist with alignment and ensure that you are completing the exercises correctly. It amazes me that they always know my name and keep me motivated for the entire hour-long session. In less than two months, I feel stronger than ever and better able to keep up with my two young boys.

I have never written a bad review about a local business but I am shocked at how poorly I have been treated by the owner Leslie. I had surgery in January and have a doctors note to re-start my exercise program with some modifications (no sit-ups) but she told me that she couldn't accommodate me in class and to add insult to injury, she will not refund my money on the 20 sessions I purchased. Sad that it has come to this.

I've started my workout routine at this place for almost 3 months. In the past I paid visits to gyms and attend many cardio classes. But the here it's totally different. I love this place! The teachers are wonderful and so good at correcting your position to make sure you get the best workout and keeping your body ergonomically correct. I've been 10 times in a month and definitely can see an improvement in my body tone and my back pain has diminished. The workouts are definitely helping strengthen and tone. I found Bar Method a little over a year ago and it has been so amazing for me! With a bad back, shoulder issues, and a lack of flexibility, I was amazed to find classes that could safely improve my flexibility, straighten my posture, strengthen my core (and therefore my back), and always feel safe with the guidance of excellently trained instructors who have given me all the modifications and support I need to improve with every class. I haven't thrown my back out since I started and I'm so proud of my dedication to this exercise. The community is just as big of a draw as the exercise. I have made so many friends and feel like I'm a part of something important. The Bar Method Palos Verdes has truly become my happy place. #whydoyoubar

I gone to a few different bar method locations and find them all to be pretty comparable. The work out is the same and they somehow manage to hire people with amazing memories who greet you by name as soon as you enter. PV has been great, helpful instructors super friendly students. I've been going to bar for about 3 months now, I did bar during my first pregnancy than stopped after baby was born, another kid and 4 years later I knew it was time to work on me a bit. I have weight to lose but my hips and joints were so ruined with pregnancy I found myself injuring myself every time I tried to work out on my own. This workout has been great really strengthening the core I lost and making me feel strong again. I don't feel as much of the aches and pains I use to. Have I lost all this weight with 3 months 2-3 times a week? no. Maybe 2-3lbs but I feel stronger my clothes fit much better, I look tighter. Overall very happy!

The Bar Method is an AWESOME workout! I've been doing it for 6 years now and it still continues to challenge me. It's great to find a workout that never seems to get easier, and, in fact, gets more challenging the more familiar you are with the form. The Palos Verdes studio is always clean, welcoming and easy to get to. Parking is ridiculously easy! Leslie has worked hard to make the Palos Verdes location feel fun and supportive, and she always listens to suggestions, especially when it comes to adding class times and such! She's filled the schedule a lot more to accommodate more people's schedules. Overall, great studio, you'll meet great people, and get a great workout! You should try it :)

I have been a member of The Bar Method for about 1 1/2 years now and absolutely love their program. I've recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis and arthritis and this program seems to be the only type of exercise that works for me. It is gentle on your joints but really works on strengthening every muscle in your body. The entire staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and is very eager to help you reach your goals.

I have been attending Bar classes for 1.5yrs. I look forward to the early 6 am class to get me energized for my day. The instructors are attentive and encouraging. I still get corrected and tweaked on my form even after attending over 250 classes. The Bar Move class is a good addition to the classic Bar- keeps me on my toes with the constant change in the format. I love the challenges throughout the year and earning perks along the way. I continue to regularly attend classes at The Bar Method in Palos Verdes. The young ladies that check me in are so sweet. The instructors consistently change up the routine which makes class even that much more challenging. Bar Method Palos Verdes has been a big part of my rehab program after suffering a traumatic knee injury a year ago. The instructors offer modifications so that I realize the benifit of a whole body workout while safely strenghthing my knee and working on my balance. I’m happy to say I don’t need as many modifications at this point. Regular participation is important to realize your fitness goals.

I have been going to Bar Method for about six weeks and love it! The instructors are all incredibly helpful and the facility is kept very clean. Everyone is super friendly. The workout is challenging but safe. Although, I would say that it’s not for fitness “novices” or those who may have not exercised in a while. It would be nice if there was a beginner or intro class for newbies to learn proper technique, vocabulary and cues since instructors can only do so much correcting while they are trying to run their class.

I have been blessed to participate in this Bar Method workout. I started mid March and have been going 3 x week. I feel better in my posture already. That was a main goal along with strength and weight loss. So far so great.
I enjoy going early and find myself greeted by big smiles and people remembering my name. It is really clean and spa like.
