Iβve been Crossfitting for over 17 years and training at Shamba CrossFit for a little over a year, and it has truly transformed my fitness journey. As a fan of barbell, dumbbell and HIIT workouts, this gym has everything you need.
**Coaching:** The coaches are highly skilled and effectively scale workouts to ensure everyone receives attention. They emphasize proper form to prevent injuries and provide helpful tips for progress.
**Programming:** The varied and intense workouts of the day (WODs) blend strength, cardio, and gymnastics. Each session presents a challenge without being overwhelming, incorporating elements like barbell squats, AMRAPs, and EMOMs.
**Community:** The atmosphere is incredibly supportive, with everyone cheering each other on. Itβs easy to make friends, and the monthly socials create a sense of belonging, making it feel like a second family.

My husband and I started working out at Shamba Way in June of 2022. We just moved in the area at that time. Coach Jake, the owner answered our call instantly and we started our free workout session with Coach Thomas the following day. We were impressed by the prompt response and getting us in right away! Since then, weβve been coming consistently to the 5 AM class with Coach Yaremy and Coach Nick. All of the coaches are great, knowledgeable and inspiring! We love the support we get during the workout and in reaching our fitness goals. The best part of it is the community! Everyone influence each other to be better not just in our health and fitness journey but also in other areas of life! In addition, we like the fact that we can go to both Shamba Way or Shamba Vibe depending on our schedule or even just to do a βfunβ weekend workout at Shamba Vibe. We are so grateful to be apart of this gym!

Coach Yaremy and the rest of the 5am crew are awesome. Everyday is a different workout and Coach Yaremy is great and pushes me with every lift. Itβs always fun, even at 5am!

This gym is my happy place! I go to both locations, Shamba Vibe and Shamba Way, in Costa Mesa and Newport. The coaches are amazing, friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and cheering and believe in you. Everything I need from a coach to push you a bit more than you would do by yourself. I love the programming, and in just one year, I have seen more broken PRs than ever before. People at the gym are the greatest, like-minded who share a passion for sports.

Shamba coaches Nick and Yaremy changed my life! I never been so committed and enthusiastic! No the usual CrossFit gym where they push you over the edge all the time and risk injuries. I started October 2022 and since then never stopped. Iβm 46 and I never been in a better shape. I definitely recommend to anyone to join the box and have fun with it.

I couldn't imagine a better situation in getting fit than Shamba Fit. From day one Jake, the owner, gave me very specialized attention. Even though he was not coaching the classes I was taking.
I came in 61/2 weeks ago, bloated, overweight and not in any kind of fitness shape whatsoever. Of course I had heard about the intensity of Crossfit and was very intimidated about walking in to a Gym, kind of old and WAY out of shape but was inspired by a couple friends whom had dramatically changed their bodies and was in love with the Crossfit culture. So I really wanted to give it a go. I was willing to fully commit.
Kaitlin, my coach and jake, have spent so much time making sure my form is good, I'm pushing myself as hard as I can but not dangerously so, and optimizing getting fit in the most efficient way possible.
I did not pay extra for this specialized attention, it's simply what you get when you work out at Shamba Fit.
In 61/2 weeks I've dropped double digit weight, a couple waist sizes, gained A LOT of muscle strength. I can't even believe it. It's literally a dream come true!
I can think more clearly, I have more confidence, It's a VERY exciting journey!
EVERYBODY, has been so kind and welcoming there, it has blown my mind. Of course, that's what you worry about when you come in for the first time, right? The ego, the more fit than though, the staring at you, judging you...hey, we all have head trash. Especially coming in out of shape. Not a single moment of that. I only feel support and being part of.
I feel VERY grateful, fortunate, just straight up lucky to have found this place...Shamba Fit RULES!
All you have to do is sign up and commit and your journey to a better life will begin. You will work your ass off, you will feel like you can't do it at times, but I promise, you can.

I have wanted to try crossfit workouts for a long time but with so many gyms around I didn't know where to start. A friend of mine recommended Shamba Fit and I was hooked day one!
I love that the classes are small (between 8-10 people max). I also appreciate that Jake really takes the time to explain each move (especially with the Olympic lifts) and often makes new students practice with a plastic pipe or lighter bar before adding weight. He is very meticulous on proper form insuring that no one will get injured. He also takes the time to modify the workouts for every level of person in the class, making it fun and safe for everyone!
Like attracts like. Jake has created an atmosphere of hard work, dedication and fun. For that reason all of the clients who train there are like minded. I have made many new friends along the way. It's great to sweat, cheer and suffer side by side :)
