Joe’s the man. Super knowledgeable, motivating, and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does—that alone pushes you to go harder. He focuses on real strength, not the fake “look good quick” stuff, and if you want actual results, this is the place. I put on ~15 lbs in just a couple months after coming in skinny, and I’ve never felt better or stronger.

He pays attention to the little things people usually overlook, and everything he has you do actually makes sense. He knows when to push you and when you need a break. The vibe is chill, friendly, and feels like a community. Honestly, you can’t go wrong training with him.

I have been struggling for over a year into lowering my HA1C. I tried walking 10k+ steps daily. Didn’t work. Tried cutting on sugar and carbs. Nothing worked. I found Thrive Strength & Performance on insta and followed coach Joe Khechef’s daily posts. During a Q&A session, I randomly asked about tips for 60+. It all started here. This question changed my life. Coach Joe replied to me and addressed my concerns with deep knowledge and understanding. He hooked me up with a custom made special fitness program that suited my age, health status and joints weaknesses. He kept me motivated throughout all the program. It is just three amazing days of each week. After each session I was looking forward to the next one. I am located in a different state. I didn’t have to show up at his gym. Everything happens so professionally through an easy app. He was asking me for videos to check my posture and forms. He was as well sending me videos fixing my mistakes. He knew about my weaknesses and strengths more than my PC physician. He gradually increased my strength when needed and reduced the load when necessary. Long story short, I have been training with coach Joe for more than 4 months so far. My HA1C dropped down to a normal level. I am able to work all day and move around pain free. I became stronger and healthier and of course in a better shape . I can’t thank him enough.

I’ve worked with a lot of trainers over the years, but Joe is on another level. He knows how to build you from the ground up.

Training at Thrive genuinely changed the way I see myself.

Before I started, I thought I was doing pretty well. I was working out consistently, staying in decent shape. But I always felt like something was missing. I wasn’t really progressing. Nothing felt connected.

Thrive Fitness has been life-changing for me!

Without a doubt, the best trainer I've ever used (42, male). I have used trainers sporadically in the past to get over a plateau but have never used them consistently because I couldn't find the "one". Then, ~1 year ago, I was interested in bulking up my legs for a more symmetrical lower to upper body physique and was introduced to Joe/Thrive Fitness. The goal was simple, build leg muscle. But here's the thing... we built leg muscle as a byproduct of lifting for performance and technique. Joe has this knack for pairing exercises (traditional ones and those uniquely Joe) that target the muscles groups in question, focusing on compound movements and exercises that keep your muscles guessing. This includes getting all of the tiny muscles in-between the big ones that strengthen your knee and joints for example. Without question, I knew that two days post any session with Joe, I was going to feel every muscle group in my lower body.

Ok, so what's Joe like? The most energetic, excited for life, passionate for results kind of person you'll ever meet. Your goals literally become his. You become part of his tribe so to speak. Joe's also a great listener. His energy is contagious as he is seemingly running around the gym setting up your next exercise, circuit or simply taking pride in his passion (pushing you to your limit to achieve your goals). Please do yourself a favor and give Joe the chance to experience his methods and style... you will not regret it.

I have been on my fitness journey since 2018. 2023 was one of the most frustrating years on that journey. While I was working out and eating right I wasn’t making progress on my goals.

I wish I could give 6 stars. Joe is THE best trainer I have ever worked with, and I worked with a lot — probably have interviewed and worked out with at least 5 in total.

What makes Joe special is his attitude — he so encouraging and you can tell he really wants you to be successful. Also, Joe is so good at breaking down complex movements and making you feel comfortable doing the workouts.

After my accident and not getting my strength back with physical therapy and the trainer I had back then, I was just miserable and in pain. Then I was referred to Joe by a friend. He seemed very knowledgeable so I thought to give him a shot and canceled the physical therapy. After just two months no more pain and i got my strength back! My muscles are even more defined now.

We have worked with Joe for over a year. Not only is he an amazing personal trainer, but he also has a heart of gold. I do not use the word ‘amazing’ lightly either. Joe first started working with my 12 year old son who is in a wheelchair due to cerebral palsy. Joe came with no judgment, discussed goals for my son, then set out to help my son achieve those goals. He met my son where he was in his fitness journey, and determined how best to strengthen him in that journey.
I later started working with Joe, myself when I began really struggling with weight gain at age 50. I consider myself educated and well read, but Joe debunked a lot of false information I was following from carnivore diet to intermittent fasting (aka starvation). Although IF has its brain health benefits, it causes you to lose muscle. At my age, I’m already losing too much muscle. Joe advised me to increase my protein and to trust him. When I didn’t see results immediately, I really hung onto his words ‘trust me’. I also trusted him because of how carefully (and lovingly) he worked with my son. Around week 4 or 5, I finally started seeing results just like he said I would. My old lady butt has disappeared. My muscle tone is excellent - folks you need your protein! My son and I consider ourselves ‘Mr. Joe Groupies’ and feel blessed to have crossed paths.
I completely trust Joe’s word because I know he is constantly educating himself by renowned experts in the health and fitness industry. Joe has an MBA and left a lucrative career because fitness and health is his passion. This is easily recognized when you work with him - his passion and desire to help you succeed and achieve your goals. Obviously, I highly recommend him. An easy 5/5 stars for me. My 12 year old son, he rates him 1 million stars.
