A friend asked me to join her for a free trial at Tyler's—and I'm so glad she did! I've. been going regularly for about 6 months now and it's been my favorite fitness and self-care option that I've tried in a very long time. It's one of the most inclusive, welcoming, safest spaces I've entered—especially when you consider the heavy-lifting world. I love that there are no mirrors, so that you really focus inward on connecting with your form as you work out. Tyler makes each session so different from the last, while building upon ever evolving strength and form goals—his system is both compelling and challenging. With the small class sizes, he's able to tailor exercises for your level or to modify for injuries, etc. I find the sessions engaging and inspiring—I always want to push myself a little harder to keep improving. I've seen a lot of change in my posture, my energy, and moods since starting regularly. I also find the class times to be very easy to work within my schedule. With 2 little kids, I often get caught de-prioritizing myself, but I've been able to go at flexible hours, as it works for my family, which I've really appreciated. I very much recommend trying Tyler's out! It's not only a great workout but a lovely community that he's built.

After 3 years of not working out, got back into the gym. I wanted to ease back into the routine to prevent injury and build skills. It has been 6 months, and the progress has been great. Tyler did a great initial assessment and created a plan. I've mixed 1 on 1 sessions with group classes, and both have been great.

The personal sessions allow for fine tuning my form and focus on troubling areas. Then I use the group classes to maintain momentum and build strength.

Tyler is a great trainer. Keeps me motivated, maintains detailed notes to track progress, is mindful about my body mechanics, and doesn't push past my comfort zone. He's made workouts fun, and I look forward to what is new at each session.

These are small group classes that aren't Intimidating and a friendly community of people that made an otherwise non-gym goer (me) comfortable working on building strength. I had some injuries from touring and tyler has been working in exercises to help me strengthen what I need to in order to not hurt myself again. I met Tyler years ago when he graciously hosted my personal trainer and me at his gym. My trainer moved out of state, so I kept working out at home, but my goal was to compete in my first powerlifting meet at age 60. I knew I needed professional training for that, so in January 2024 I asked Tyler if he would be my coach. Lucky for me he said yes!

Tyler’s Gym is not like any other gym or ‘box’ I have ever been to. It’s non-intimidating, friendly – cozy even! He has all the equipment you need to train well and none of the superfluous, faddy nonsense. And none of those huge, distracting mirrors! When you’re at Tyler’s, you're focused and working!

It’s easy to train hard and hurt yourself in the process, especially at my age. Tyler trains smart! He put a plan together for me that fixed my bad lifting habits, got me strong, and kept me injury-free. At my first meet I finished better than I thought I would. I couldn’t have done it without him!

Tyler’s knowledge, experience, dedication, and training style have made a huge difference in my life. He helps me stay focused on playing the long game: training to be healthy and strong well into my senior years. I went to Tyler's Gym for about 6 months before moving out of state, and am still bummed about having to leave it behind. I have chronic knee pain and plantar fasciitis and strength training with Tyler has been key to my recovery and learning to work out effectively whilst not aggravating injuries. I started at Tyler’s Gym about two months ago after bouncing around several different gyms in the area to get back into lifting regularly before my wedding in the fall. In LA, big box gyms mean endless wait times for racks or weights, and I've never been a fan of the wear and tear on your body that comes with standard CrossFit-type spots.

At Tyler's, the class format lands somewhere between a small group personal training session and a larger CrossFit class, which is perfect for me. In and out in 45 minutes with a great workout, period. I love the emphasis on strength, small class sizes, and straightforward programming. Tyler is always encouraging and knowledgeable, and the community aspect is excellent for accountability!

I've been going to Tyler's gym for a while now, and it's one of the best parts of my week. The environment is welcoming, people are great, and the workouts are challenging but fun.

I’m so happy we found Tyler’s Gym last summer. Both of my teenage kids are athletes with different needs. My 18 year old daughter wanted to get stronger and get comfortable in a weight room before she started working out with her college team. My son wanted to bulk and build muscle. I thought I would have to pay for private lessons to meet their different needs, but after meeting with Tyler he said that his small group weightlifting class would be perfect for them, and it is! They get so much personal attention. Tyler is also extremely helpful and knowledgeable when one of them has an injury from their sport. He will customize their workout each class to focus on their recovery. They are the youngest members in the classes they attend, but they have always said the groups are so welcoming and they feel very comfortable. I 100% recommend Tyler’s Gym to anyone!

I’ve been coming here once a week for over a year now, the most consistent I’ve been with an exercise routine. The workouts are challenging, especially if you’re a beginner, but Tyler will work with you to adapt them so you don’t hurt yourself or aggravate any injuries. Nice community atmosphere.

A few months ago, my wife was looking for a workout gym and found Tyler’s Gym. She raved about it so much that I had to try it myself and I was AMAZED! This is an intense workout and I love it! Coach Tyler is one of the best instructors I’ve been with. He is very resourceful and his knowledge of fitness, weightlifting and body training is bar-none. The atmosphere of the space is perfect! My wife and I have been going to Tyler's for almost a year now and we love it. The daily classes are great! Tyler’s gym is located in a pretty nice part of the town and it has no parking issues. The gym is well equipped, welcoming environment with two adorable dogs. The classes are 45 minutes long with very logical structure. The exercises include mobility routines, compound lifts, resistance band training and a lot more. After joining this gym and utilizing the program, there is no need to do anything else except cardio. I personally am really great full to Tylor for his expertise. He had to modify several exercises for me to accommodate my injuries and limitations. Going to my morning class is the best part of my day. I also love the fact that I can skip all this exercise gurus on my instagram page. Hope that more people will take advantage of this outstanding place.

I started out with Yoga. Curious about weights, never done them before, I tried a strength class, timid and terrified. I’m no spring chicken! I was searching for a gym closer to where I live. I drive by Tyler's fairly regularly and decided to give him a call. He lets you try a class for free and I was really looking for structure and well rounded workouts with an emphasis on weight training. I found just that and more. Tyler's gym is basically an extremely high quality personal training experience at better value than you'll find anywhere. You will work with the same coach everyday who knows your abilities/goals, and will integrate what is right for you into a very well thought out, program that focuses on actual results. While you will train in a group, the group is small and as the consistent coach, Tyler will know exactly where you are in your progress, what is needed for you to move forward, what cues are appropriate for your skill level, and even what weight is appropriate for you in a certain movement. The amount of personal attention paired with the knowledge base, skillset and qualifications of the coach make this a diamond in the rough. If you've traveled from box to box, style to style and sport to sport you will quickly recognize that the focus on actual strength and muscle development in Tyler's system is legit and designed to produce sustainable results while minimizing the risk of injury. If you are newer to strength training, you will be lucky enough to have started on as high quality of a path as can be found in the industry. For the results that actually improve your quality of life from how your clothes fit, to how well you sleep and how easy it is to hit nutrition goals, this gym is the best I've found in decades of searching.

If you are thinking about joining a gym… you must check out Tyler’s Gym and his approach to training and fitness. He will 100% lead you to your goal. His gym is not like any gym you’ve ever walked into. He creates and curates daily sessions… and he’s present for every class. I've been a member at Tyler's Gym since October 2023. I originally started going to keep my lower back in shape. I had had issues with extreme lower back pain, that had improved with physical therapy in December 2022, but I was having trouble staying motivated in doing my at-home exercises. I need someone to make me do the exercises. Enter Tyler's Gym!

This is my first time doing any sort of strength training on a regular basis. It has been a HUGE help to my back, but also my overall fitness. I look forward to going, which is also something I've never experienced before with working out.

Tyler is very knowledgeable about the body and how it works. He explains the exercises so you know why you're doing the exercise and its benefits. The other members are also really supportive about your work and progress. When I first started, he helped me adjust the exercises so that it would match my level of fitness, so that was extremely helpful. Now that I've improved, there are fewer modifications and I can tell my body has gotten a lot stronger.

2024 has been my year of self-care and going to classes at Tyler's Gym has been a big part of it!

Tyler’s Gym (and Tyler himself) literally changed my life. Prior to starting with Tyler in 2020, I never saw results from going to the gym or trying to diet. Over the last four years, I lost over 60 pounds and improved other things like my diet, sleep, mobility, and strength. Throughout my time working with Tyler, he has constantly had me follow a plan that is easy to execute because it entails gradual but consistent changes: no drastic diet changes that required me to stop eating certain foods or starve myself, no ridiculous workouts where I risked injury, no cheesy motivational quotes… just common sense changes that are sustainable and compounded over time. I’m grateful for how much he’s been able to accommodate my crazy schedule, and for how he’s always encouraged me to get back into it whenever I’ve gotten a bit lazy. I started the Restorative Yoga Fusion class with Edie a few months ago and I love it. The tension i carry each week has melted away, my sleep even improved! Edie guides us in a way that is tangible for all bodies, breaking down the poses with the utmost care with guidance around more tangible forms of the pose for those less flexible (like myself). The Restorative part of her yoga class is my favorite. We get to hold poses with pillow, blocks and blankets, and this is when my body thanks me most.

Love coming here! Tyler does an amazing job of taking his time to show you the correct postures for each position without making you feel dumb or inadequate. It’s really nice to have the personal trainer feel in a safe and supportive environment. I just started attending the yoga classes they offer and I am in love! Why have a personal trainer when you have Tyler's gym? I went from spending well over $600 a month with a personal trainer to spending less than half at Tyler's with the personal training aspect! Tyler makes sure each individual in the class is doing all the movements/lifts with good form and keeps a good eye on you throughout the entire workout. He's helped out with dietary advice as well as provides the workouts for you on an app so you can continue the workout regimen even when traveling (I travel for work). Super motivational and all around great people workout here (from beginners to veterans). You can't go wrong with this place!

Dr. George Orloff said you are nothing short of a miracle worker. He said the muscle tone in the back of my legs, my arms, and my abdomen is amazing. The loose skin is gone almost everywhere. He did not even think that it could be as minimal as it is. He said my arms and my legs and my abdomen look amazing. He wanted to know how you did it. I told him what we did and how long we've been doing the exercises. He said he didn't think it could be achieved, especially since I was so thin and had no muscle tone, and refused to gain weight. Since when did I actually start looking forward to attending the gym everyday? Ah, right about when I found Tyler's Gym! When I moved to Burbank a few years ago, I was looking for a place to work out, but I'm a bit complicated.

I don't like open-style corporate gyms. I will stand there for hours staring at equipment (and myself in the floor-to-ceiling mirrors) not knowing where to start, and am very prone to hurting myself. I need instruction and adult supervision.

I used to do CrossFit - which like many, I had a love-hate relationship with it. Love the functional fitness aspect, hate the injury potential. I always thought the best trainers were those that used to do / teach CrossFit but don't anymore. They have the functional fitness background, but found a better and safer way to express it. That's Tyler!

I also did personal training for a while elsewhere, but it got way too expensive. Tyler's Gym combines the best of both worlds with their Semi-Private training sessions. With just a few other classmates there each hour, you get similar attention as personal training, while keeping it affordable enough to be sustainable indefinitely. He's so great at altering workouts for people's physical (and emotional) vulnerabilities so I can confidently push myself without risking injury. "No more tears!"

He's also built a great gym community.....I made friends! Something very hard to do in your 30's as the new kid in town.

I come here for both the personal training and the yoga classes, both of which are excellent.

Tyler is an amazing trainer with a wealth of knowledge and excellent attention to detail. He is attentive throughout the workout to ensure the exercises are being done correctly and will go the extra mile to accommodate your schedule. Cannot say enough good things about my training experience at Tyler's gym.

The yoga classes have also been fantastic. I'm new to yoga so the idea of yoga classes was initially intimidating but the classes provided at Tyler's gym are intimate and cater to beginners as well as advanced yogis. Both instructors are wonderful and provide a comfortable and calming environment. They will walk around and assist you throughout the class if you are having trouble with certain poses or components of the class which I find very helpful as a beginner. The intimacy, comfortability, and helpful instructors have led me to start attending yoga classes 3-4 times a week which has been incredibly restorative.

Love coming to Tyler's gym for both the training and yoga and would highly suggest both to anyone!

Tyler is a national treasure.

I'm so relieved to have found this gym! I was looking for a place to help me get back into a regular fitness routine and Tyler's personal training in a small group setting really fit the bill. It's the most comfortable and friendly gym I've ever been to. After going to various group fitness classes where I got lost in the crowd, it was refreshing to have a trainer so attentive and thorough. Tyler is smart and funny and cares about each of his clients. His fitness experience and knowledge is impressive and he puts it to good use daily with great tips and advice.

His website is great and user friendly. I signed up for a free class and showed up and had the best time. I went with the four times a week (16 classes per month) package for a really affordable rate. Now, I register for classes online the night before or whenever I figure out my schedule. I show up and Tyler makes it challenging and fun, and I leave feeling better and stronger than when I walked in.

Did I mention parking is a breeze?
