I’ve been coming to this gym for a while now and overall, it’s a great place to get a solid workout in. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and full of energy, which makes the environment super motivating. The machines are well-maintained and always clean, which I really appreciate.

One thing to note is that the A/C has gone out a few times, but it’s usually fixed within a reasonable timeframe. However, the ab room and leg room tend to get pretty warm, I'm not sure if the A/C is fully working in those areas.

It would be awesome to see some mirrors added in the leg room to check form, and a T-bar row machine would be a great addition too.

Overall, still a solid gym with good vibes and a hardworking staff!

I mean it's a nice gym and all good people around staff and those who exercise. I was paying in advance every couple months and thought I'd skip January. Just got an email telling me that money was automatically trying to be taken from my card which I didn't know was a thing. This is why I would pay in advance in the first place. I am not sure if all gyms in Selma are like this but if they are that really sucks. My parents live in Selma and I decided to check them out and possibly add a membership. There were several broken machines and felt super unstable when using them. the treadmill felt so unstable. The stair master felt like walking on plastic steps that felt unstable. The elliptical was broken. People at this gym leave their stuff at machines and walk to another machine(that should not be allowed). No sauna or steam room. Didn’t bother to look at their bathrooms. The machine placement felt random and not by muscle group. I only went one day and didn’t go back. My opinion and honest review.

As a member of Valley Fitness gym, I like the experience. The staff is constantly cleaning the floors, in addition the staff team keep sanitizer bottles, and cleaning towels at various stations. A terrible place to be at due to these people having no idea how to bill correctly or take care of their mistakes. I had a membership before Covid and was sent a letter that my membership was frozen due to Covid. I could not use the gym. After Covid I decided to go back to the gym and low and behold my account was unfrozen a year ago, cancelled and sent to collections. I did not receive a letter or phone call of any reinstatement or collection action. I have tried contacting them 8 times over months of arguing and being put to the side. At this time I am reporting to the BBB and credit agencies. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else even though they are the only big gym in Selma .

I can't stand this gym. Look the gym itself is cool what I hate is there are so many kids and their groups here. You can never do one thing. Everytime I come here I go in and can't get one thing done. I see a bunch teenagers in group. I get out and live in Selma but now I have to go all the way to the Herdon one to get anything done. Gym is well outfitted. The extra room that used to be the daycare now has the 2 power racks and new deadlifting platforms which is nice. Only downside is the unfortunate weekend hours. I can only go late or super early and neither are an option on weekends. Other than that, staff is very nice and helpful so I do still highly recommend this gym over the others in town

This is a large gym with some great equipment. They are friendly. It is not a fancy hand holding community type gym. This is a place to seriously workout. Overall it was clean. This is a fantastic place to get a workout in. They have a variety of cardio machines, weight machines and free weights.
Additionally, they have a decent sized locker room with showers and they have massage machines as well. Friendly staff. Good hours. I like this place and am looking forward to going back now that I’m fully vaccinated and have waited out the time for full vaccination to take full effect.

The staff are warm and friendly. I wonder if the people complaining about how “rude” etc the staff are have actually taken a moment to simply ask. Every time I have had a question, the staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. As far as the equipment. Sometimes the equipment is not working or not properly maintained BUT this is always temporary and to be expected at any public gym. There’s usually paper towels and always disinfectant spray, I personally take my own disinfectant towels as well as paper towels and wipe down the equipment/machines I use. The bathroom is a public gym bathroom. It’s not Starbucks. If I didn’t like this place I wouldn’t go so frequently. I suggest bringing your own disinfectant towels to wipe down the equipment and cleaning up after yourself, bring a clean towel if you want to use the aqua massage and ask for help before assuming.

Pros: Cheap monthly fees. Nice open space. Good diversity of machines, treadmills, and additional features like a heavy bag and “abs only” section.
Cons: WAYYY overcrowded from 4-8pm. Paper dispensers are never refilled. Closes too early on weekends. And most importantly, in the summer, AC needs to be MUCH stronger and 10 degrees cooler. It becomes a sauna after like 20 minutes

Gym is ok, has good amount of equipment and evo fit classes are pretty cool but that's about it, it's always dirty. Alot of people that come here are straight up rude and wierd. Always stareing and walking around as if they own the place. They make me want to switch to a different location. I have been here at many different times and it is always the same issue. Some staff members are cool others are not. They can be very pushy for membership upgrades or sign ups and do not act professional if you upgrade or sign up with someone else. Kind of ridiculous that if your paying $49 a month for a membership you still have to pay an annual fee of $39. If you able to make the drive to a location or gym in Fresno or near by do so, they are much better. Update, been here for over a year, and it gets worse and worse, machines take for ever to get fixed. Whats the point of having janitorial if they walk around like slugs and the gym stays filthy. I can litteraly draw smiley faces on all the equipment from all the dust and sweat on them.
