First off, this studio is incredibly zen. Clean, neutral walls and floors with no attention-grabbing decor, neon lights, or walls of mirrors to compete for your headspace.... just simple, tranquil studio that is lit by a wall of windows and natural light. Just being in there your head will start to clear. The view out the walls of windows is just beautiful and so very private.
The vibe here is really laid back. Not uppity, not competitive gym-style yoga. It's not overly spiritualized or super "woo", its just really great traditional hatha yoga that benefits your head as much as your body. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. No matter which class I took, the instructor discreetly offered modifications up or down to each student's level of practice, without calling attention to their experience or lack of it. I have become a regular and have been coming to classes here since 2019. Both men and women are in the classes.

The yoga instruction is some of the best I have experienced. They approach every pose in a way that implements simple body mechanics that allowed me to get into poses that I never could get into before, by setting me up with clear verbal cues leading up to the pose. Amazing.

The TRX yoga class is a lot of fun and a great workout. I've taken this class with 20 - 70 year olds and everyone got a great workout, regardless of their fitness level. If you haven't tried it before, I highly recommend trying it! TRX uses straps hung from the ceiling with handles on the ends, plus the weight of your own body, incorporating yoga poses and strength training. You'll get a great workout at this class and see fitness results quickly. The first class and getting familiar with the straps feels a little awkward, but by the second class, you'll be a pro. I heard that she's going to offer mat Pilates soon, and I am so excited to try that!

They also regularly have special events here; from pelvic floor workshops, to mimosa yoga, to acrobatic yoga to a seductive chair dance lessons for the ladies. They've all been an absolute blast. They even offer yoga teacher certification classes if you are interested in teaching or just deepening your practice.

What an awesome addition to the High Desert, and in such a great historic area of Apple Valley, too! So grateful for this beautiful space all of yogis make sure to cultivate in each class. Adriana’s flow is upbeat, fun and full of asanas for all kinds of yogis. Dusty’s Kundalini class is low key life changing. If you’re a local or passing through, hit this place up. You won’t regret it 🙌🏼

I’ve been practicing yoga with Chaunette for over a year and every class has been great. She creates classes that are challenging, but she breaks down the movements so that you can practice at your own level, and I always leave feeling physically stronger. The studio is calm and peaceful and all of the instructors are skilled; this is a great place to have here in the HD!

I'm new to yoga, so I have been joining the Wednesday night Beginner class. Laid back atmosphere, but very structured class. I am learning a lot and feel like a million bucks after. Makes me sleep like a baby. Thumbs up for Zen18 Yoga.

I've been to Wednesday night Beginner's Yoga several times now. Chaunette does a fantastic job breaking down all of the poses so that us yogis learn the poses correctly. Her positive and welcoming demeanor make me look forward to class. See you all next Wednesday!
