I LOVE 9Round!!! It solves the biggest problem I have at the gym, what can I do to get in a great workout?
I've always known I had to work out, but have also always hated doing it. I don't know what to do when I'm at the gym, and end up wasting a lot of time with no results - Until 9Round!
9 different stations, all with video screens that tell you what to do - AND show you the right way to do it.
Every day is different, and I leave the gym a big sweaty mess and feel a sense of accomplishment.
I am getting the BEST workouts of my life - all in about 30 minutes! The trainers are excellent, encouraging you, sharing modifications if you need it, and just in general making you feel welcome - regardless of your fitness level!

Trainers who care with 0 judgment! Whenever Kennedy is around, I know that it's going to be a killer workout! Always leaving more confident than when I came in. I love 9Round! 9 rounds, 3 minutes each, with 30 seconds of active rest in between. There are no set class times so you show up whenever works for you AND they have trainers there the entire time so you can get one-on-one tips, training, and assistance every time you go. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for to push myself and have fun while getting stronger and more fit. The stations also keep it really fun and mix it up (heavy bags, speed bags, jump rope, weights, etc). Seriously cannot speak highly enough of my experience with 9Round! The best part of it all are the people—the trainers I interact with (special shoutout to Carly, Gia, Kennady, and Javier) are absolutely incredible and make it more than just a workout. Their positivity and fun are what sets 9Round apart from everywhere else. You feel like a part of a community, and I’ve never had that before in a gym or workout. It helps hold me accountable, and I look forward to going every time. If you want a place where you’ll be engaged, see results, and be motivated to keep coming back, I definitely recommend 9Round!

I have SO much to say about 9Round. I have trained at three different locations, loved them all, but overall, Longmont is my favorite. The entire staff of trainers and the owners are genuinely supportive and positive people.
About the workouts:
Pros:
- It’s high-intensity circuit training that you don’t have to dread, because it’s only 30 minutes of your day (unless you’ve got multiple rounds in you). It has been so easy to commit to and stick with.
- They truly are flexible start times. If you set your alarm for a 5:30 am spin class, but show up five minutes late, you either can’t join, or have to sit up front and deal with glares behind you from judgy, I-have-my-life-figured-out people. If you show up to 9Round at 5:35 am, you’re met with a smile while you put your hand wraps on, and you can start in the next three-minute round.
- You get one-on-one focus with a trainer every single round. The give you encouragement, positive feedback, and they point you in the right direction if you’re doing something not quite right. They show you how to do everything, and if you can’t do everything they have listed, they taylor movements so you can get the most out of your efforts.
- Even the members are wonderful! Everyone is encouraging, because they’re there for the same reasons as you. Also, you go to other gyms, see hulks who work themselves to a cascading sweat, get a machine all yucky, and then they just… walk away, despite the CLEARLY POSTED “clean your machine after each use” signs everywhere. At 9Round, the people are… just better. They do better, and that’s nice to be around.

9Round has been a life saver during the pandemic. I have really appreciated their commitment to safety and keeping things clean etc. The ability to get a workout in during this time has been key to keeping my sanity and with the precautions 9Round has taken, I have felt comfortable continuing to work out there unlike some other gyms in town.
Also, I was struggling - like many - with keeping my weight in check during this time because I had been drinking and eating more but then my local 9Round did a promotion and 4 week challenge in late January that was just the kick in the pants I needed to get back on track. I lost over 10 pounds and a few more even since the end of the challenge by sticking with some good habits adopted during the challenge. Everyone at 9Round has been really fun to be around - trainers and clients alike. It has given me a little social outlet during these challenging times.

My experience at 9Round has been amazing. What I enjoy most is the total body workout. Over time you develop additional muscle mass while improving endurance, core strength, core balance, and you improve hand-eye coordination with the use of the various punching bags. I remember when I first started I was frustrated because I couldn't hit the speed bag worth a darn nor with any level of coordination. Now, I naturally find a rhythm and do it with ease that I only get frustrated if I mess up! 9Round also provides a feeling of inclusion. You get to know other members fairly quickly and the relationships help to keep you motivated. I've made some great friends at 9Round. Similarly, you develop solid relationships with the trainers, which helps to develop trust and helps keep one accountable in and out of the gym. My experience at other kickboxing gyms was far removed from this type of experience. In all honesty, 9Round has become an embedded part of my life. I hope 9Round continues to succeed into the future as I continue to work towards my fitness goals.

I have an eating disorder and body dysmorphic disorder, and exercising in public is my worst nightmare. I've always been scared to go to the gym, but a friend convinced me to try this out, and I'm so glad I did! The workouts are different and fast paced every time which keeps me interested, but best of all are the trainers. They're all so positive and helpful, and keep me motivated to go again. The other people working out are friendly and supportive too, and everyone is focused on their own goals. I've seen incredible gains in my strength, balance and confidence, and I have more stamina for hiking, playing with my kids and work. I've never stuck with exercise this long, but I still love it!

Always impressed. I love this place. The trainers are absolutely AMAZING and always available to help and NEVER make you feel silly if you don't know how to do one of the exercises or if you can't do that particular exercise for some reason they will modify it just for you so you are still getting benefits without hurting yourself. Very empowering. No class times is what drew me to this gym in the first place and I love that I can walk in at my convenience and be put into the rotation almost immediately most of the time (depending on how busy they are). You will sweat like crazy in here and walk out feeling stronger and proud of yourself. Gives me great energy after. This place is well worth the cost I promise. If you show up you will get your money's worth. I just wish they were open at 5:30 am M-Sat 😜

I am so frustrated with 9Round. I had such an incredible experience when I used to go to the gym last year. I will say the trainers are amazing, and friendly - but the company itself is absolutely horrible. I cancelled my membership in person at the end of 2019 in the correct timing to ensure I wouldn't owe, or need to pay anything further on my membership. I even have a signed document from the gym and person that cancelled it with my signature. Then I was charged the following month, and sent notifications that I owe money. I called the Longmont location, and was told that my account was showing balances, but that they saw a cancellation on record. They told me it would be taken care of. I have called corporate numerous times since January, and called the store location as well to be put on hold for 15 minutes and never picked back up. I've emailed the store filling out the online form, but am still getting charged. Corporate is telling me they cannot do anything for me, and that I owe the money. At this point I am confident that this is fraud, and I don't know what else to do. I recommend that these people start their own gym, and get away from the corporation who is trying to steal money from customers who always paid on time, and cancelled their membership in the way that was required in the contract.

I started coming here about 3 months ago after WAY too long of being sedentary, hoping to kickstart my fitness. Since then I've dropped close to 20 pounds and I really enjoy the workouts. They pack a lot into 30 minutes, but there's so much variety (changing stations every 3 minutes) that the time flies by. It's a solid workout with friendly people! The staff is on a firstname basis with everyone and I always feel super welcome. Also, the format of the workout means you can come whenever (no set class times) and get in and out in 30 minutes.

tl;dr We signed up in June and are major fans! I love this gym's structured 9 round / 30 min kickbox approach and the fact that I literally don't have to think when I walk in. High reward for minimal amount of gym time is definitely my jam. The trainers are enthusiastic and friendly and learn your name quickly. I will note their pricing structure is expensive and frustrating, which is a bummer because I really wanted to believe they were totally unlike the typical gym. Lastly, do not overdo it on your first visit!

Pros:
- No "class time" - show up whenever you want during business hours, and because there's no class time it's never *too* crowded. The most you'll wait to begin is one or two rounds (each round is ~3mins)
- There are always nine rounds with specified exercises at each round, so all you have to do is... do it!
- You're always done in ~30mins at a minimum
- The gym hosts different types of personal and team challenges which adds in a bit of fun, and I think there are some get-togethers (though I haven't seen anything advertised yet)
- The instructors are great and friendly, and some will mix up the round which keeps it challenging and exciting, there's also a 30 second mark so that gives you a little boost to finish it out

Cons:
- We came in with the intent of doing their free pass, but got sold the same day with the whole "we won't be able to give you this free stuff and great pricing after today" spiel / Granted we did love the workout immediately and knew we'd want to commit, but the sales approach itself doesn't feel different than your typical gym (and I have tried MANY gyms). They weren't very flexible when we said we'd be joining together and when my boyfriend asked to discuss it with the gym manager he never got a call back. This is my biggest gripe with the gym.
- My second biggest gripe is that the trainers aren't expected to correct your form / Fortunately I've had a couple stints with muay thai and powerlifting so I remember enough about kicks, punching, and squat form to get by, but for those who are newer I can imagine this must be difficult and very injury-prone. Something like a printout or a quick blurb on the whiteboards noting the correct form could be really valuable, because I see people kicking their back out and squatting like they're about to fall on their face. I will say one or two trainers have corrected my form so I really appreciated that!
- There isn't a ton of prep for a newcomer, so I sort of went all out and injured both of my calves. My recipe for disaster was likely going at night + going all-out + I should have tripled my water intake and stretching. I literally couldn't walk for a week after that first visit, so I highly recommend taking it slower the first day and really listening to your body, hydrating and stretching it, and going in the morning so your body is still moving vs. at night when your muscles will tighten up during sleep.

The pros still outweigh the cons for me but I wanted to be detailed in that cons list so hopefully someone can avoid injury - that's probably the biggest risk in joining this gym. Other than that, I love that we've found 9Round - we've made some adjustments and now work out 3x a week in the mornings which works out perfectly, and I always leave a sweaty mess and feeling great!

I must admit I am not a very "social" person when it comes to social media. I started a 5-week challenge 5 weeks a ago finishing up this past Saturday. I was able to complete this challenge with the help of the awesome trainers who pushed me through every workout and pound! Thank you!

I came to 9Round overweight at 213lbs and was able to get down to 187 (a loss of 26.2lbs). I also achieved a loss of 5.3% body fat.

Even though I am done with the challenge I am planning on continuing to workout and working towards lowering my body fat percentage and maintain my current weight.

I highly recommend 9Round to anyone who is looking for a fitness program. Quick 30 minute workout that targets strength and conditioning for your full body. Trainers are very competent, energetic, and above all motivational. Combine this with the nutrition plan targeted toward your fitness goals and lookout you will transform your body in no time!

I usually don't do reviews, but I had to for 9 Round. Everyone who works there is basically the nicest person you will ever meet. All the trainers try really hard to remember everyone's name and they seem like they legitimately care about my health and fitness. It's seems like it's not just a job, they really want to help me reach my goals. They are all fantastic people! Also I was in just be other day and I putting my hair up and my hair band snapped in half and the trainer (I think he's also a manger) Taylor, rushed over and got me a new one! They keep extra hair bands in case someone needs one! I've never been to a gym where they do things like that! This place is absolutely amazing! I want to be there everyday!

I love how everyday I walk in through the doors and a new challenge is waiting for me! After years of trying many different workout routines, I was struggling to find one that was just right for me. My experience with 9Round-Longmont has been above and beyond any expectations. I am getting a great workout and the support I need to reach my personal goals. The trainers are well educated and very personable. I am greeted by name when I come in. That is important to me. I don't want to be just another number.
