Since retiring I've been doing a lot of traveling and I was recently visiting relatives in Canon City. As a member at Anytime Fitness I always look for one to do my workouts at. The gym in Canon City had all the equipment I needed for a good workout and I even used some machines I wish my regular club had. The equipment was clean, in great condition, the members were friendly and the one employee I did meet was very nice. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. Thanks for a great gym for my traveling workouts.

Anytime Fitness in Canon City is a great place to lift and the atmosphere is always friendly and encouraging. The owners have done a fantastic job keeping the equipment well maintained and safe. You can tell they care greatly about the building, the machines and their patrons. Maria is friendly and works hard to keep the place clean and well taken care of. After a hard day of work, it’s nice to come to this gym to work out in a place that’s immaculate and inviting. We appreciate all the hard work this staff are putting into this gym!

The gym is basic & not too disagreeable however, the management and security are unprofessional. There is a lack of compassion & proper investigation for members before punishment. It's easy to feel discriminated against for being alternative. Such a waste of time.

Mid at best, the bare-bones basics like keeping the building together & having people clean after themselves is ok & should be expected anyways,

but the payments are literally & entirely way over the top for the experience given, 19.99 biweekly + a 219.97 down payment (99$ of it being a KEYCARD of all things) is nowhere near pheasable, I implore those seeing this to try somewhere else, or if you are the people responsible, deeply cut the average down payment by 90% as allmost nobody with a sense of thought would sign for this.

This is a great gym with good workout equipment and friendly staff. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. The three stars are because I have visited more than 30 Anytime fineness Gyms due to my travels and this one is the very least updated. The lighting is very poor and makes you feel like it’s run down even though it’s well maintained. In the winter it’s cold and summer it’s very hot.
Nonetheless it has everything you need to get a good work and is probably the very best gym in Cañon City

This place is probably the only gym around town that has everything you need for a good work out, or strength training. As long as you work out after about 9am, it's never crowded. At most 15 people inside when busy.

I've been a member for about 4 or 5 months and I've enjoyed my experience! My fob has worked great, owner/manager are both lovely, and everything is quite clean!!! There's a good selection of equipment to use and it's in its place 99.9% of the time 💪 the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because there is no option for even a day free pass for new potential members. I've tried to bring adult friends from work and personal life into the fitness lifestyle but because they don't have a membership, they can't work out with me. Which of course makes sense, but everyone who is committed to fitness knows the hardest part is starting the commitment, and that begins with your foot in the door. I'd love if there was a system to have a 1 time visitor pass per person so they could try out the gym, then decide. ESPECIALLY if it's a member bringing them in.

I have returned to Anytime Fitness after a hiatus and have been working with Angela (trainer) for the past 8 months. She is a HUGE value-add to the gym. She's a fantastic trainer who keeps things interesting and challenging. She's dedicated to the facility and works hard to keep it in tip top shape.
Since the new ownership change (which at this point isn't so new), I see a cleaner facility and a sense of pride in what is offered to clients.
Additionally, I'm glad to have a Silver Sneakers option.

Love love love this Gym! I have tried so many gyms that just dont make the cut but here is not the case!! Simon and Angela are friendly, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and always willing to answer questions help you with form and go out of there way for you!!! I enjoy working out here which is a lot said as I'm curvy girl!! this isn't the type of Gym filled with meat heads and models you have everyday people who just want to better themselves and this gym ticks all the boxes!!! It is clean, has the machines you need and free weights! no pretentious people just just a good healthy motivational atmosphere!!! Would 10/10 Recommend This gym 100 times over!!!!

Just moving to canyon City recently, I have found Simon's gym to be a great place to go! It is clean, he and his personal trainer Angela are highly competent and knowledgeable to guide me through attaining my optimum physical health, and the atmosphere is comfortable and professional.

I only needed a gym for a week, as I'm home visiting my parents in the middle of nowhere. There aren't a lot of gym options around Cañon City, but this is a great gym, very clean, and very user friendly. The owner is nice, and was extremely helpful.

As far as equipment goes, it has all the basic cardio equipment, cable machines, free weights, a squat rack, and a variety of machines. Everything is in good condition, and I didn't have to deal with any broken equipment limiting my workout. Will definitely use again whenever I come back through Cañon City.

Harassment, Jay will harass you. Even some how hacks your phone to make it appear someone you know is calling you. When you answer it is Jay from anytime fitness. Thinking of contacting a lawyer. I told him I don't appreciate the constant calls. And especially when my caller i.d. shows it's my daughter calling. So ofcourse i answer, And its really Jay from anytime fitness. How the hell do they do it. This has got to be illegal!

Horrible experience in my short time here. Manager, I think his name was Jay, acted like I was an inconvenience looking for a short term visitor’s pass. Did his best to force me into a commitment I could not make as I was only staying in the area for a month. Canceling the membership was an absolute nightmare. There is no clear way to do so and they made the claim that I had to cancel through my financial institution?! What? Ended up paying another month for no reason and am still attempting to track down a refund. I’ve never experienced a gym with such poor management and customer experience. Do not waste your time and money (literally) at this poor excuse for a business. You’re better off ANYWHERE else.

The ONLY reason I would recommend this gym is because of the other locations. This particular location has manipulative and rude owners -- that you will likely never see during "staffed business hours" Went in to cancel my membership due to a move, the owner, Jay, told me to go to my bank to do so. I did, stopped payments and was still billed for the months after my cancellation. I tried to reach out via phone during "staffed hours" to come to a compromise about the misunderstanding, had to leave a voicemail and then was contacted via TEXT MESSAGE. The owner stated that he went ahead and canceled my membership after I had called (but apparently was unable to when I actually went in to the office to cancel in person).Upon my request for a refund the owner immediately stopped responding. I am surprised that this particular facility has not already been shut down in regards to other poor reviews. I had to contact corporate office and ABC Billing myself to take care of the unexpected monthly charges and report unprofessional management.

The owners are extremely dishonest and manipulative. I have been there on and off for 10 years and I have found out that loyalty means absolutely nothing to them. I initiated cancelling my policy but the owner convinced me to hold off for a few months, full well knowing that if I postponed it, I would be forced to pay the bi-annual maintenance fees as well an additional monthly payment. I have heard many complain about their business ethics in the past, and now I have experienced it. I truly do not know how these people still have a business as they have burned numerous bridges along the way. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM!!!!!

Smaller gym with no on-demand studio. Nice facilities and very well kept up, except the mirror in the bathroom only showed the top of my head. Super annoying, as I am 5'3". Owner seems to only like locals going there.

I had been a member for 7+ years. Due to the fact that I had not used their facilities in over 2 years, I had decided to cancel my membership. What a MESS that turned out to be. Per Anytime Fitness, I was to contact the name of the company on my membership agreement which I did. I was told to write a letter stating why I was cancelling...which I did. I was told that I would have to pay for the following month (despite the fact I was cancelling)...which I did. Years later, I had been contacted by a collection agency stating that I owed for late payments. I explained that I did EVERYTHING I was told to do to cancel my membership. I did not hear anything after that until now. I received a call from a collection agency (again) stating that despite the fact that I did EVERYTHING I was told to do, I needed to cancel at the Anytime location in Canon on an ipad in addition to everything I had already done. So, according to the collectors, I was still being billed for the past couple years and I owed that amount since I didn't do everything I was supposed to do. What the heck do they want??? I am SO mad right now, I am sick to my stomach. Anytime Fitness is supposed to extend life through health and fitness....instead it shortened my life by causing major stress over this whole situation. Their whole system stinks. I will probably end up paying just to avoid any negative credit ratings, but to all those who are considering signing up for a membership, DON'T. Otherwise, you will be a member till you die....most likely from a stroke induced by their crazy cancellation policies.

My wife and I have been customers of Anytime Fitness of Canon City for seven years and we have enjoyed being customers until just the other day when the owners showed their unprofessional side. Our membership was paid automatically per month off a credit card on file. Due to a out dated card expiration date, Anytime Fitness was unable to collect membership fees for four months. In that four months not once did the owners ever try to contact us by phone, email or mail to let us know that there was a problem. Instead they turned us into collections. When we asked the collectors what was happening they explained that we haven't paid our membership so we checked with the bank and found out what had happened. When we settled up with the collection company we asked them how were they able to contact us and they informed us that Anytime Fitness had given them all our contact information and that they only had to try one time to contact us to collect this debt. By the way we have also tried several times to make contact in person during business hours, we have even called and left message to please call us back with no return calls. Later after sharing our story with some friends and family, is when we truly realized how unprofessional and lazy the owners truly are. Possible future customers BEWARE!
