This anytime fitness is larger than most. It has a gym, arobics room, padded room and tanning bed. All of which are quite large and clean.

The gym has plenty of weights, benches, cardio and cable machines but the problem is that about 25 percent of them are messed up or are on their last leg. I can do the same pace, resistance, and incline on one machine and at the end it will say 3.8 miles, another 4.2 miles, on another 5.5 miles. The same can be said with cable machines the Cables are stretched out, the locking plate/pin is so worn out it moves, some of the cable machine arms are bent. And most of the weight plates on the cable machines are not labeled. So if you are new you won't know how much weight are using.

Shower rooms are large but the actual shower is tiny and the shower head is so high up when you take a shower the spray only hits your head and shoulders. It can hit your chest if you press yourself against the wall/glass. Forget about your tushy, legs, or feet. The only shower you can actually get clean in is the handicap bathroom.

Staffing, is a joke. There is no staff on the weekends. Friday is hit or miss. No personal trainers. (I think they just hired one) However they do have cleaning staff.

Temperature control is poor at best, it is always hot and stuffy inside. (Maybe that will change in the winter)

Pros,
Tons of room, weights and machines.
Cons,
Machines are in poor condition, showers, and staffing
I would give it 2.5 stars, but google doesn't allow it.

They have great equipment, but it’s too bundled up too close to other equipment. It’s like walking through a hazard area trying to get to one machine to the other kind of wish I never joined. Seems like all anytime fitness gyms are too cluttered.

Not impressed. I scheduled an appointment a week in advance to tour the gym. I received 2 emails and 3 text reminding me of my appointment and even replied to one of the text as “confirmed” the morning of our meeting. My husband and I arrived 10 minutes early, tried to call as requested upon arrival and no answer. Waited… called again several more times and still no answer. Thinking that maybe they were with another customer we decided to wait outside the door until we saw someone. Finally a member arrived and let us inside where we were waiting in the lobby and no one addressed us. No one was in the office. Door was closed and lights off. After 15 minutes of waiting, a coach (I’m guessing) arrived and walked straight into the office. I thought that maybe she would say hi, so we waited a little longer allowing her the opportunity to turn on the computer and get settled. After another 5-7 minutes, I tried getting her attention, but she was on the phone. Again another several minutes went by. We were getting ready to walk out when she came out and asked if we needed help. I explained that I had an appointment (20 minutes prior) and. she informed me that my appointment was likely with Dave (or David). Since it didn’t seem like he was planning to show for our appt, she opted to show us around and give us a quick tour. We noticed that the place is outdated. The equipment looked ok (I guess). Very cramped though and she explained and they were updating the gym. On the website it suggests that classes are offered, however, upon on inquiring I was told that they only offer Silver Sneaker classes. This is definitely not the gym for us!

Owners won’t do basic maintenance on equipment despite notifying them of basic issues via emails through the years. The entire gym has only one barbell that has rotating collars, the rest are so worn down they don’t spin with weights on the bar. It’s an easy fix but the owners just don’t care to fix it despite being aware of the issues. The gym has had painters tape on nearly every wall and surface and been “under construction” for as long as I’ve been a member seemingly without anything being completed. No secure storage, broken lockers. Half working sinks in the men’s restroom. Place is a real gem.

I was called today by a female and inquired if I knew the people that came in behind me. At first I was confused at what she was talking about. We just moved here to Windsor and we didn't know anybody. She rudely was letting me know that I can't have people just come in. And I didn't like her tone and assumptions. I told her that I didn't know what she was talking about. I told her that I keyed in and if the people behind me did not key in you need to call them. I asked her why is she was calling me. She was assuming that I knew these people. If they were looking at their cameras they can clearly see that I spoke with no one that night in the gym. I am new to the gym and I've only been there three times. When I was trying to be firm with her that I didn't appreciate a phone call of her accusing me of knowing these strangers. I felt like she did it in a way where she was targeting me . I feel like it's important if you're trying to run a business to be respectful to your clients. You called me assuming I knew these people which I did not ! She threatened to charge me a fee? I am not responsible for the public if they don't use their keys. She hung up on me and I came up there to cancel.
Unfortunately , the blonde lady that works there was NOT professional at all. I told her that I did not appreciate her hanging up on me and that she can't just call me and accuse me of knowing people that I don't.
She was laughing at me And did not apologize but was rolling her eyes. There was another white gentleman that was there that she was signing up and he was like we don't care. So that tells me enough and the kind of place that you're running.

as far as the anytime fitness gyms in northern colorado go, i’ve gotta say this one has gotta be the worst one. nothing to do with the staff but mostly the state of the facilities and the equipment. the high schoolers there after school make it insufferable as well.

I wish I could give half stars - I’d give this place 4.5.

I’ve been a member of this gym for 6+ months. While some of the equipment and workout areas could use a face lift (new ceilings in the back rooms; weight machines need lbs. markings refreshed; carpet in a workout facility is kind of weird - hence 4.5 stars), the gym really has everything one needs. I appreciate the variety of cardio and lifting equipment (both free weights and machines).

There is enough redundancy in the equipment that I’ve never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for a machine. (If the machine I want is in use, it’s almost always free when I circle back around after reps at a different machine.)

Teens use this gym, and honestly, I find them inspiring. They’re usually there to work out; I don’t see that much messing around or wasting time at machines.

At the end of the day, the best gym is the one you use, and I’m thankful that Windsor has such a well-equipped gym.

I call this gym "the dump". It is very dirty, outdated and worn out. The equipment is not kept up and a lot of the numbers on the stack weights are worn off. The carpet is disgusting and it smells old and dirty. I would never recommend joining this gym! Unfortunately, it is the only gym of it's kind in Windsor expect the rec center.

Just like any other gym, you have teens on their phones working their thumbs out and waiting in line to work out usually. Suppose you work nights. It's typically empty. Happy hour is between 330 and 8 pm. The gym is tiny; there is enough equipment to get whatever physique you want. There are never any benches available, nor are there enough free weights. The gym does need upgrades on its equipment, for sure. This is why it has a three-star rating from me.

The equipment is well-maintained. It seems like improvements of all kinds are taking place fairly often. There are 2 spacious rooms for classes, core work, etc. Twenty people can be working out and it won't feel crowded at all. Owners clearly care and are in the space frequently. I travel out of my way to use this Anytime, one of the best in CO.

I've been a member here for almost a year and overall I very much like the gym! The staff has always been nice and polite and the facility is clean and organized. The only issues I have come down to lack of equipment and some stocking issues. The stocking issues come down to mostly hand soap and paper towels in the mens bathroom. More times than not, both have beeb out, leaving me to wait for one of the private bathrooms to see if i can wash my hands there. Also, There is really only 1 of each machine, which can get tough waiting for people to get done if you're on a strict schedule like myself. Also, there is only 1 set of dumbells and a lot of members seem to like to take 3 or 4 of them at a time (example, all the 5s, 10s, 20s and 30s) and that leaves anyone else trying to use those weights out of luck. Another set of the 5s-45s would probably help offset this!

I used to travel a lot for my work and have visited many different gyms/rec centers all over Colorado and Nebraska. A little over a year ago, my wife and I finally relocated to Windsor to raise our family. I have been using Anytime Fitness for six months now, and I feel that this is one of the nicest, cleanest gyms I've had the pleasure of using....The experienced, friendly staff are helpful and attentive. The state-of-the-art equipment is clean, well-maintained. Kudos to management for doing a great job! I would encourage anyone who's looking for a local gym with a nice, friendly atmosphere to consider making Anytime Fitness yours.

Well I tried to go the nice route and send an email to AF corporate about how “run down” this place is, but looks like my email made it back to the owner because he deactivated my membership I have through my insurance. Don’t worry though, I’m getting it reactivated through the well managed location in Johnstown since I’ve been visiting there instead. I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting the owner, but after visiting there a few times and going home to read the reviews, I think I’m better off. Based on
all the recent reviews, he seems to take pleasure in responding to bad reviews often so I’m looking forward to his response. If only he spent as much time cleaning his disgusting gym. There is so much dust on the standing fans, water stains on ceiling tiles, only about half of the fluorescent bulbs work, the bars on the machines are sticky…I could go on, but you get the gist. It’s concerning that people go to a gym to get healthy and this cesspool of germs and dirty carpets is what they have to walk into. The employee was less than helpful switching my membership to Johnstown location when I called. Instead my membership got deactivated without any notice but I wasn’t planning on going back to Windsor location anyways. Much better options out there than this place. Such a shame when owners are lazy and don’t care enough to take care of your business.

please see edit below -

It looks like it's straight out of the 80s on the inside and is a bit run down, but it works and usually isn't busy.

It's expensive, too expensive for what it is, but I'm also spoiled by the options I had where I used to live like VASA that were $10-$20/mo.

If they'd remodel a bit, it'd be great.

EDIT:

Reducing my review to 3 stars. The place is just so dirty (especially the blue room). They're doing some good things - a couple pieces of new equipment, for example - but the old equipment, accessories, dumbbells/kettlebells in the blue room, knee pads, etc are just so incredibly gross and run down. They are slowly trying to re-paint the gym, which is great - however, they don't finish an area before moving onto the next and leave tape up in the areas they've "finished" as well (i.e. the deadlift/squat rack room). I understand it's probably the owner doing it by himself, but I'd encourage him to finish an area fully and make it look nice before moving on.

The trainers from Tundra who operate out of the gym also never wipe anything down, ever, and neither do their clients. Essentially all the regulars wipe things down regularly - I expect the same from those who make their living here.

had a Great experience with great workers besides The worker Kyle who seems always slightly angry. He charged me and my brothers membership 25$ because my brother held the door open for me EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A MEMBERSHIP and showed him proof of it. AND After the fact he came up to me trying to find more things to kick me out for like Not having “proper lifting shoes” or he’s going to take away our membership. Overall doesn’t make the gym feel like a welcome/accepting place to workout. Besides that the equipment is decent.

The only reason I’m giving 2 is because things started out ok at the start of my membership. I’ve been a regular for over a year now and I’ve watched things progressively get worse in the last 10 months. Equipment constantly breaking and not being fixed for weeks at a time, the massage therapist no showed on me and then ghosted me when she said she’d comp me a session, there’s currently ONE of only three stair steppers that’s fully functioning, the building looks like it’s basically busting at the seams. Now the crowd has just escalated the wear. The owner needs to step up before the loyal members step out.

Staff was friendly. That's where the positives end.

Dumpy gym with tired, old, outdated equipment. Went for a trial and was left underwhelmed. Seriously overpriced for what they offer. This place should be $10 a month at most. Yet it's way more and they lock you into a contract which many gyms these days do not do.

It's dim lit inside and just looks depressing. Equipment is ancient. Accessories for equipment are falling apart and look like they could break at anytime. Ammenties are seriously lacking, especially for the price.

Since this is the only traditional gym in Windsor, they have no real competition and therefore no incentive to modernize. Seriously, this equipment must be 20 years old across the board.

For a cheaper price you could drive 20 minutes to Loveland or Fort Collins and go to a state of the art gym with a pool, sauna, massage chairs, hot tub, etc.

The only value here is convenience if you refuse to drive anywhere else.

I've been going for nearly 3 months now. Great gym, good location, smoke easy parking. I can't comment on the staff, as i visit usually before 5am. The gym has exactly what you need, i haven't had to wait for any machines or stations. Really a nice place. The only thing keeping my rating from 5 stars is that the equipment, while in very good repair, is a bit dated. Everything is quite functional. Just some signs of wear and tear. Small cracks in the padding on a few machines, minor things like this. All in all, a very good gym, and i plan to stay as long as I remain in the area.

This is a great gym. Owners take great care of it. I love the setup.

The only request I would have is in the dumbells area to have duplicates of the smaller most commonly used dumbells through maybe 30lbs.

They are doing a great job during the COVID-19 pandemic by supplying spray bottles and rags for everyone which I think is great. The staff also wears masks while working even though most members don't.

Giving a 2 star because of the price per month compared to other gyms I have been at throughout the country with similar price points but have way more to offer / better options.

Cardio equipment is pretty much junk, treadmills shake all over the place when running, overall machine health is a C.

Limited fly benches are a pain, and they could doink the stupid equipment scattered throughout that 90% of people don’t use to make space for the equipment that is more applicable.

Overall maintenance (including cleanliness) is a solid B.

If you’ve used a lot of quality gym equipment before you will notice the lack in quality here.

Rec center is better quality, pool, basketball courts but is full of housewives and screaming kids.

This location is awesome! There's a yoga room, an area to lift weights, machines for cardio, and another separate room for Pilates training! The trainers, Kasey and Kyle, are very kind and always make sure that I have what I need to get a good workout!

Never been during busy hours so my opinion is based on it not being very busy. With that said, equipment is great. 3 stair masters which is my go to Cardio. Lots of other Cardio machines as well. 2 studios for boot camps, calisthenics, etc. A couple lay in tanning beds. Platformed section for heavy deadlifts, etc. I would hope to get maybe steam or hottub for $30 a month, but it is open 24 hours. You get a key fob to open door. Bathrooms. And a dozen high school gym style Lockers, no locker room. Gets the job done.

Possibly the best gym in all of Colorado, 5 stars doesn't even do justice for this gym, and the wonderful staff that runs it. It is by far one of the biggest Anytime's I've ever been in, and the equipment is top of the line; the gentleman who said the equipment was always broken probably wasn't using it the correct way. The staff is incredible, they are some of the kindest, and most helpful individuals I have ever encountered. Do yourself a favor, if you want to better your health in a clean, and positive environment sign up as soon as possible.

Wonderful Gym! The staff is extremely nice, the equipment is well kept and the classes are amazing! I have been going to this gym for over four years and continue enjoying working out here. There is a physical therapy office conveniently attached as well. The membership price is great and the key fab makes it easy to workout any time of the day! Very satisfied :)

This place is absolutely awful. I canceled my membership because the machines are always broken and the customer service is horrendous. They even tried charging me a monthly membership fee after I canceled my membership which was also a $100 fee. Do yourself a giant favor and go anywhere else but this place.

After I moved to Windsor I decided to make anytime fitness my gym. My first impression was it was a small gym that I could still get a solid workout in. After joining I soon realized that machines were constantly broken and the staff was doing nothing to fix the problem. An example would be the calf raise, in the time I've been there it has been out of order more than a working machine. The next thing I noticed was that they are the most controlling gym I have ever been apart of. Anytime fitness has dyed their towels purple, but they have begun to fade and look trashy. The small gym I first saw seems to be constantly shrinking, and I am now tripping over equipment or running into bars while trying to navigate my way through the gym. Next, the employees are not the friendliest people in the fitness industry. At my old gym I would be greeted every time I entered the building, I have never been greeted at this location. The worst part is they management refuses to turn on the air condition, this gym gets so hot that their rubber free weights are melting. I have been to the Anytime fitness in Fort Collins and had a great experience, but the Windsor location is lacking customer appreciation. I have stayed in hotels with nicer gyms than this place offers, If your heart is set on a gym in Windsor, I hear the other one is welcoming and offers a lot more.
