Small group strength training with Liz has been a game-changer for me. She provides a positive, encouraging, non-intimidating environment where anyone (regardless of age or ability) can be successful. I have been working with Liz (using the Feldenkrais method) for several months now on a really challenging structural body issue. I really appreciate how gentle, and effective, the method is. Over time, between Liz’s body work on me, her somatic reflection prompts, and the audio lessons I do at home, it is like I am gaining X-ray vision into my body and am understanding my skeletal alignment. This is allowing better alignment, greater ease of movement, and helping to reduce pain. I can’t say enough good things about Liz and Feldenkrais.

My daughter recommended the stairs class for me after an illness caused me to lose muscle and agility. I loved it so much and highly recommend it! The skills I learned have helped me in more than just stairs. It has helped improve my everyday walking and other fitness classes. Luz is an incredible observative teacher and makes helpful critiques for all students. I wish I would have learned the tips when I was school age. It should be taught in high school for preventative purposes for young persons in sports.

Over the past 10+ years, I've come to rely on Liz to help me stay in shape, first as a gym trainer, then introducing me to the Feldenkrais method, and now through her online programs. She is smart, knowledgeable, and very clear as she leads us through programs, which, at age 80, I actually consider important and in many ways life-saving. She is GREAT!

I really enjoy exercising with Liz. Before Better in Motion, I had always struggled with squats, push-ups and similar exercises a challenge. Working with Liz, these moves have become less challenging. I learned to modify and use correct form. This zoom class is convenient and fun. Love the motivating play list.

I was always one of 'those people' that preferred to exercise & sweat in the privacy of my own home with my familiar DVDs. Then Liz opened up shop right next door & it was a no brainer not to join her group. Her ST classes offer a great variety of routines combining cardio, strength training & lots of fun while you work hard! She's attentive & helpful with form, offering suggestions when needed.
And then there's her Feldenkrais method! Long story short, I've had neck problems for YEARS. And constant headaches for at least 6 months. I've been avoiding chiropractic visits because I don't like the painful manual manipulations to 'crack' my neck to feel relief for a few days & have it come back to pre-manipulation state. I joined her Sciatica series & also the Patreon app that offers daily lessons & tons of knowledge. I'm so relieved & happy to say my headaches are GONE! I realize I still have lots of work to do to get my neck in better shape, but I feel staying with the Feldy approach is the answer. She's engrained an awareness of where I need to 'soften up' & 'let go' into me..... What a concept!
Liz is a great person, very knowledgeable & has a lot to offer to anyone she works with. I mean it when I say I'm very thankful to her for getting me out of my comfort zone & joining her world of knowledge. And she's a great neighbor too!😉

Better In Motion is a hidden gem! Owner/Instructor, Liz, has built an amazing business that assists clients to meet their fitness goals. She takes the time to assess clients, listen to them and create appropriate fitness plans to gain mobility/increase strength/achieve overall fitness/etc. Liz's studio has a great variety of equipment with a non-intimidating atmosphere. The variety of classes and schedules is ideal. Highly recommend!

Liz's small group training has been a game changer for me - the work out is effective, its fun, and keeps me coming back for more. I didn't realize how much I needed this type of strength training. All of the methods of strength training and working out in general I had learned in the past, have been updated. Liz references research, watches for form and adjustments, and provided a place for learning, simplicity and fitness. The best part is that I am not exhausted at the end of class, but feel I have pushed my muscles to fatigue.

I have known Liz for a little over a year. I have worked with trainers in the past but no one tops what Liz brings to her classes. She cares and understands about the issues of your body at an amazing level, so your workouts are gentle on the body but so effective! She is incredibly generous with her shared online feldenkrais lessons. They have relieved my pains many times over in the last year. I don’t know where I’d be without her wisdom, optimism, and skills!

Liz is a great person in and out of the gym. I have been going to her group classes and enjoyed them. Liz provides a great workout, and everyone in the class encourages each other. Physical Therapy wasn’t helping my joint pain anymore so I started looking for a Feldenkrais therapist. Liz is an experienced and remarkably effective therapist. She has helped me in-person and through online classes. Her seemingly simple exercises focus on one area, but they affect the entire body, showing how everything is connected. She teaches in a relaxed manner, with clarity, patience, empathy and intelligence. So then I find out she is also a trainer! I highly recommend Liz Cotrano for Feldenkrais therapy and for training.

I have been working out with Liz as my trainer for about 2 1/2 years. I never was a workout/“go the gym” type person before Liz. Liz has made all the difference. Liz’s classes are small and she gives individual help and instruction. Now I am lifting weights and using rowing machines, etc. My physical strength and mobility have improved significantly. Liz is the very best teacher/personal trainer/Feldenkrais practitioner I’ve ever worked with. I started working with her about 6 years ago at the age of 73/74. I am about to turn 81, and I’m in the best shape of my life. In addition to my personal Zoom training sessions 2x/week, I also do a Feldenkrais lesson once a week with her, which has saved me from multiple doctor visits. Liz is one of the kindest people I know, and is superb at “reading” your movements to determine exactly what exercises to do with you.
