My 3-year-old daughter takes swim lessons at the British Swim School in Arvada, and her teacher Grace has been absolutely wonderful! My little one is very energetic and always eager to jump right into the water, but Grace knows exactly how to handle her with patience, humor, and confidence.

She makes the lessons fun and playful while still keeping my daughter safe and focused. What I really appreciate is how Grace gives her confidence, even when my daughter is restless, Grace uses encouragement and lighthearted humor to help her feel comfortable and capable in the water.

We’ve already noticed such a positive difference in her comfort level and skills, and most importantly, she loves coming to class. Thank you, Grace, for making swim lessons such a great experience for our family!

I took all my makeup adult lessons at this location with Coach Sam F and Liz as a substitute. I had a great experience as a beginner student.

While my lessons were mostly done at another location, when I had to do makeups here it was a seamless experience and I still picked up skills I was working to gain. During my makeups, we focused on refining technique, increasing distance and picking up how to tread. The water at this location is deeper and wider (for someone who is 5”1), so this pool was excellent for me to work on treading and freestyle.

Coach Sam F has an attentive, patient and intuitive approach to teaching that I really appreciated. Liz really helped me slow down and refine my freestyle technique.

Having tried lessons at another swim school before joining British Swim School, I believe BSS hires the best instructors.

I don't like leaving a negative review, but I don't want what happened to us to happen to anyone else.
Our child has been reluctant to take swim lessons and has had great anxiety around water. It was the day of our first swim lesson and four hours before the lesson our child had a panic attack. We decided this wasn't the time to start and called BS to let them know we'd changed our minds and would not need their services. It was Saturday, so we emailed and called the facility to let the instructor know 3 hours in advance - which was appreciated. I filled out the online forms to terminate what had been a few days membership. On Monday I talked with Nikki Taylor about a refund (I expected it would be no problem since we'd never had a lesson and did not want to receive services.) but she refused and said they'd keep the money in case we changed our minds. I told her we would not be changing our minds, but it made no difference. It is a ridiculous policy and completely unfair. If I'd known this was their policy I'd never signed up. We were out a couple hundred dollars!
We have since found amazing and gentle instruction at Little Kickers! Our child loves going and we are seeing progress.
My suggestion to Nikki and the BS company, stop with the "BS"!! When you've rendered no services you should receive no compensation. Otherwise what separates you from any other crook?!

We’ve been with British Swim School for about 4 years now and have enjoyed the experience. When this location opened up we were excited because it became much more convenient for us. Our 6 and 4 year olds love swimming because of their time here. They have learned the important parts of water safety, being able to jump/fall in and float and get to safety. The older kiddo can do freestyle, back stroke, breast stroke and tread water for a long time. We’ve enjoyed our teachers as they are engaging and patient. Current favorite coaches are Yasha, Keith and Christian. We appreciate the flexibility with class times and rescheduling which we’ve taken advantage of and another big reason why we’ll continue sending our kiddos there.

We are so grateful have made our way to British Swim School - We tried other schools and they were overcrowded and over stimulating - just not the right fit for my kiddo. From day one the connections he instantly felt with his teachers made his confidence grow and his involvement in class has been such a relief. He told me last class, "I am going to be such an awesome swimmer soon" - and we know that is true thanks to British Swim School and their amazing teachers like Keith and Lauren.

Our kids progressed more in 3 weeks here than they did in one year at their former swim school. We appreciate being able to get feedback from the instructors during class/immediately after class by sitting near the pool and being able to watch our kids. It is also nice to be able to have our kids together in a class which helps their confidence and bravery. So far we are very happy and Coach Sally is wonderful!

British Swim School is amazing! I am very impressed with this school. My daughter had some swim lessons here and there from rec centers through out the years but by the time she was 10 she still wasn’t able to completely swim. So I decided it was time for a swim school! British Swim School not only taught my daughter to swim laps in a short amount of time they also taught her “Water Survival”. She got to experience what it is like being in water fully clothed and how to survive a “fall” in a body of water. I’d like to shoutout the many coaches my daughter encountered. We have been with British Swim school since March 2023. At the beginning we went through 2 different teachers until Christian came along. Our son made an immediate connection and has learned SO much! Christian does an amazing job with the kids and really keeps them engaged all while teaching them how to be safe and have fun in the water! British Swim school in Arvada has been amazing! We have done other swim schools and nothing has compared to British swim school. We have seen so much growth in a short period of time. Miss Gabi, miss Hannah and miss Emily have been our three teachers and they are all amazing with all the kids. They are very attentive and truly give the kids a great experience while teaching them. I would highly recommend British swim Arvada west to anyone looking for a great place to teach your kids how to swim and safe habits at the pool with little ones!

We have been attending British swim school for a couple months. Emily and Christian are both great instructors! The quality of instruction is much better than some of the rec center course we’ve completed. My son enjoys class and looks forward to it each week! The people checking us in each week have always been friendly and courteous. The way the school is set up may not be the most traditional, but I feel they have done a good job outlining the process and rules for families and attending students. It is really is a great program!

My grandson Keegan is a Turtle 2 and is in Christine's class. He is amazing and makes it fun. Keegan can't wait for his next lesson. My grandson Len is a Starfish and is in Emily's class.
