If I could pay people not to go to this location and highly highly recommend others.I certainly would.
They label it as a survival school, but technically you're just paying somebody to help drown your child for an hour, while you watch.
Furthermore, when I first scheduled my child, they told me I must put in an exit date so the day that I scheduled her; I had already given them an exit date, and yet they still continued to bill me without my acknowledgment past that date.
When I went to the corporate standards to say "hey, this isn't cool."They publicly shamed me for being a parent who does not read the fine print.When again I put in my exit date on the very first day before my baby even had their first class.
If you'd like to avoid being blind sided then mocked, I highly encourage another school.

I am very happy bringing my kid to British Swim School at Fort Collins for his swim lessons. The teachers here care about my kid and they make it fun for him to learn swimming. This is a safety first school where they teach kids to be safe in water in all circumstances. My kid loves to come here on a weekly basis and is learning a variety of swim strokes. His skills have improved over the past few weeks of lessons and he is having fun.

I initially asked for private lessons, but was advised that group classes would be a better fit—and they were right. Over the past two years, my son has had a fantastic experience, building strong swim skills and confidence. Despite not having a fixed instructor, each instructor brought something valuable, and it all came together perfectly. He had tried lessons elsewhere, but this was by far the best. Now that he’s mastered the necessary skills, it’s time to move on. Highly recommend!

We have enjoyed our experience with British Swim School in Fort Collins. The teachers are very enthusiastic and great with kids. My daughter was lacking confidence in the water when she started, and within weeks she was able to do things she couldn't before. Moving up in levels made her proud of her achievements and hard work. The intimate class sizes meant she got lots of attention. Their app made rescheduling easy enough and they were responsive by email/phone as well. I would highly recommend.

I will not recommend this place, there is a lot of lack of communication between the staff and owner to the customer, especially from the owner. I was told the owner would be contacting me, and as of right now (almost two months later), she has not contacted me at all, this was related to a make-up class. They never notify us on time when my child's new schedule will be and my child was unable to attend the class. In another instance, my child was not offered the same pool/teaching time as other kids, the instructor spent more time with other students, and sometimes skipped my child's turn. Very overpriced swimming lessons for the awful experience.

My kids were nervous about starting with British Swim School after the swim instructor we had previously (who they adored) moved on to a new career. They were afraid they wouldn't like the teachers as much or that the lessons wouldn't be as fun. Happy to say they were absolutely delighted after our first class at BSS! The teachers are positive, encouraging, and know how to challenge the kids enough to make progress while still keeping it an enjoyable experience. They also provide helpful and insightful feedback after each lesson, making sure to always compliment what the kids are doing well and give tips on what we can continue to work on. We've been very happy with their progress, communication from BSS, and ease of scheduling absences/makeups.

We have had such a great experience at BSS. We wanted our kiddo to learn safety skills at a young age and get positive and fun exposure to water, and the instructors at BSS have helped us achieve just that. Our son has so much fun playing and splashing, and the progress each week is so fun to watch. The instructors are very friendly and informative, and they are so good with the kids. BEWARE OF PREDATORY AND DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES: I signed up for a class at their advertised rate of $36 a class. What was not advertised is that upon signing up, you are locked into paying at least an entire month of their services plus their membership fee. That's $184! No where on their website, or upon checkout is that amount advertised or stated. When I sign up for subscription service, or a gym membership for example, the fees are laid out very clearly. What are you supposed to do if you have a bad experience, injure yourself, or, in my case, simply cannot afford that amount for classes? They also require you give a 30-day notice of cancellation, so unless you sign up AND cancel on the same day...you're going to be taken for a ride. I was charged $250 for the one class I attended. I will also add that I have never experienced such a lack of empathy and understanding from both the owner Chris and their Corporate Office. I have been told that my situation is not valid because “I’m not getting the answer I’m looking for.” Well, they’re partially right. I’m at least looking to be humanized, heard out, and maybe even understood at some basic level. Instead of giving me call to listen to what I had to say, I was only sent an email that reads as though they have the right to take my money and give me nothing in return because I signed a policy authorizing charges to my card, but it does not specify how much they can charge. I would recommend going anywhere else for swim lessons. You’ll have a better customer service experience and it’ll be cheaper.

Reasons being:
1. Not enough place for parents to sit.
2. They have an option of scheduling make up class for which they would charge you even if you book the class or not.
They would make you realize that they are doing some sort of favor to you for make up classes.

We cannot rave about these swimming lessons enough! We had tried other options for our daughter, and they only increased her fear of the water. Now, at 7 years old, she started with BSS afraid to get in the pool/refusing to put her face in/uncomfortable with the water in her ears/ unable to float on her own. The instructors are all very patient, kind and fun with the kids. They coaxed her out of her shell, and she moved up from Starfish to Minnows within a few lessons. From there, she has flown through the next few levels and graduated to Turtle 2 today: she can now tread water, jump in the deep end on her own and go directly into a back float, backstroke, and freestyle WITH side breaths! It’s mind-blowing how far she has come in only 18 classes!

Fantastic swim school!! Wonderful instructors. Only down side is if they miss a lesson for any reason it has to be used before the last one and cannot be tagged at the end of their lessons which makes it that you have to do 2 in 1 week which with busy schedules can be very difficult.

I cannot recommend British Swim School highly enough!!!! We have been doing swim class since my son was a baby at various other places and I just didn't feel he was able to really learn to swim. But we are not even 2 months in at BSS and he can float and is already learning strokes. He couldn't float or tread water and is already doing those things. AND he LOVES it!!!! He is so excited to come every week. But I feel SO much better about his skills and that if he was in a dangerous situation he could actually float and get to safety. If you are on the fence, give it a try!!! I am so glad we did.

In 6 months they took my 5-year-old from being fearless but not able to swim to being able to swim and be safe in the water. We had done swim lessons three other places without ever making much progress and we were constantly worried when he was around water. As soon as we started with British Swim School we could see him becoming a better and safer swimmer in each lesson. They gave our family the beautiful gift of feeling safe and being able to have fun at the pool. Plus, the owner is kind and a total delight to work with. If you want to feel confident your money is well spent and your child can learn to be safe in the water this is the program for you.

We’ve had a great experience with British Swim School for our two year old son. Admittedly, the first class was tough because he cried essentially the whole time but the staff was encouraging and helpful and he’s loved every class since! They are flexible and allow your kiddos to have fun while also learning core skills. Definitely happy we started him swimming sooner than later.

I registered my 9 year old grandson for swimming lessons with the British Swim School and I have been extremely happy with my decision doing so. I really like the philosophy and approach they use to teaching their students. I really appreciate the patience and effort that all the instructors display when interacting with all the students. When my grandson began his swim program he initially had feelings of uncertainty and anxiety, but with the support and encouragement of his instructors he is now acclimated to the water is now more confident and looks forward to his lessons. He is making great progress in learning to swim and even talks about how much more he is going to learn in his future lessons. I am so happy for him and very proud of his progress at this time. I know in time he will develop into a strong and confident swimmer. I couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend the British Swim School to anyone who is trying to decide which swim school in the Ft. Collins area to enroll their child or children in.

Pool water was freezing cold during swim lesson & changing stations are a joke! Literally a tent over foam pieces, so uncomfortable to change in and absolutely ridiculous considering it’s twice the cost of comparable swim lessons in the area!

Great swim school for the little ones. I love the fear and trauma free approach. They let babies acclaim to the water at their own pace in a very safe environment. My son loves the water now and he is only 11 months. Highly recommended
