Personal training studio with exclusive focus on progressive calisthenics. We help our clients get stronger using their own bodyweight!
Our personal training clients come to us at different ages, with different goals, and, of course, with different bodies. This is why all programs will vary drastically from each other. However, one key component will always be present in all programs and that is calisthenics! Training sessions never require any equipment. The only weight that you’ll need to lift is your own bodyweight!

I had Thomas as a trainer and he is the best! He was very flexible when it came to training, ensured that each session included an exercise that I found fun - not just difficult to work on or needed for progress. Thomas is great about teaching the mechanics behind an exercise, and also providing guidance on how to continue your goals at home. I would highly recommend Thomas for his positive attitude, attention to detail and ability to not just show someone an exercise, but actually talk them through the mechanics, benefits and opportunities they have when doing this type of training.

Alex is an amazing motivator, trainer and knowledgeable professional. He asked me immediately what I wanted to accomplish and walked me through his plan on how he would get me there. Cannot recommend this place enough. I've been into calisthenics for a while now but could never get beyond the basic exercises. Started training with Arash and in so few sessions I was able to see progress and overcome some plateaus. He has so much knowledge and altered my perspective on training and what aspects (rest time, technique, reps) I should be focusing on to achieve my own goals. His workouts hit right at the cusp of achievable but difficult - every workout felt arduous but knew I got the work in. He listened to my feedback watched my form and knew exactly what progressions I needed. Highly highly recommend Arash and this studio for those willing to take calisthenics seriously!

I cannot recommend Arash enough. I've need training here for several months with him twice a week. I do the small group sessions. Sometimes it is just me and one other person. The most there has ever been of us in one class is 4 people. Each workout is tailored to the individual and their skill set, so you won't be getting a group workout like other places. This is really personal training just with a few people. And Arash manages to watch everyone and make corrections at all times. "Tuck those hips!" I'm really glad I signed up to start here, I just wish I had done it SO MUCH sooner. I'm going to miss this place when I move in July. Don't be like me: Sign up now and get into it.

Everyone needs training! I’m a personal trainer here at Caprǎ but I realized I needed some extra attention for my planche, 90 degree push-ups, and one-arm pull-ups. I decided to train with Arash to help me achieve these goals. He has been fun to train with and informative! He understands advanced programming, the difficulty around learning various advanced skills at the same time, and how to navigate those obstacles all simultaneously.
Plus, I love training at Caprǎ! The small group gives me a sense of community that I couldn’t otherwise get at a larger corporate gym. It seems like everyone who trains here has a similar drive for progress both in their training, as well as in life, and I really respect that. I’m a 71 year old male who’s still active (running, tennis), but I’ve noticed a loss of strength and flexibility as I’ve aged. I was attracted to bodyweight training because of its simplicity (no machines, etc.) and its focus on overall strength. I was a bit apprehensive about going into a “gym” type environment, but I quickly learned that this is truly a no-judgement zone. Everyone, regardless of fitness level, has been super accepting and supportive. Arash is easygoing and personable, but he’s also very knowledgeable and focused on each client. He’s helped me make a lot of progress in a short time, and I have total confidence that he can guide me in reaching the maximum strength that I’m capable of. I sought out Capra because I was struggling to maintain a weight training routine that didn’t irritate my lower back. I’ve put my body through lots of abuse and my lumbar spine is forever salty about it.
After my consult, I trained with Arash twice a week for 6 months, and it was honestly one of the best things I’ve done for myself.
Arash catered my training to my specific goals/ limitations and also encouraged me to go further once I gained strength.
Now, after a little over a year of training on my own, I’m back with Arash to level up and unlock some new skills. For anyone considering this type of training, I highly recommend Arash.

Update (July 2023): I got to work with Thomas temporarily because the team was kind enough to accommodate to my schedule as we moved a bit further out from downtown Denver. Thomas is great and super professional! He’s helped address specific items such as exercises to support my injury recovery and rebuild muscle from areas that haven’t been activated in a while. His ability to help me monitor my form in specific exercises has helped me execute them more effectively and give some speed to my progression. The whole team at Capra is fantastic and you’ll never go wrong with any of the team members there.
I recently moved to Denver and did a lot of research about which gym I wanted to go to and even considered trainers that would come to my apartment building as well. I stumbled upon Alex Ceban Bodyweight Training online and was intrigued immediately. I had a consultation setup within hours and went in for it the same day. I connected with the trainer Arash and have been working with him since July 2021. He’s been a fantastic professional and a fun trainer to work with. I always look forward to going to my sessions and I have booked 3 sessions of 1on1s per week. I would highly recommend this over any other gym as body weight training actually lets you visualize your progress and understand it rather than adding more weight to a machine. I am someone that tried weight lifting several times and unfortunately couldn’t find the best use out of just because of my personal body goals and previous injuries. However, bodyweight training has been a really big game changer as you get to see results with the exercises that you progress with. To add to that, Arash facilitated the success in a great way and has been extremely flexible as well. An extra perk is that the team at the gym are dog lovers, so you can bring in your pup if you ever can’t find anyone to watch them during your sessions. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to work on building their body strength and even just general balance.
To further improve on a successful formula, I think the gym can incorporate more tips on nutrition as your work is rendered useless if you don’t know how to best manage your food intake. However, when you do begin they give you some good rules of thumb to help guide you.

If you want to commit to yourself and your fitness, commit to this training program. I first came to Arash after seeing my husbands progress after 5 months of working with him and couldn’t believe how strong he had gotten. I recently started on a path to get back in shape. I checked out a few gyms. Did a bunch of research, and finally decided to give calisthenics a shot. I find it extremely difficult to work out on my own, and working out with a personal trainer has been it for me. And Thomas at their newer location has been nothing short of amazing. He builds a workout plan to suit my needs, strength, and capabilities. All while focusing on my form and technique. I do small group training with Arash and he is great! I have done group trainings before at other studios, but never felt like I received the feedback and attention needed to improve. Arash takes time with each individual so that he can correct our form and observe our performance. I have some injuries that I let him know about and he was able to provide alternate movements for me. Arash personalizes everybody's workout differently so that it is tailored to each individual. In the short time that I have attended these sessions (i.e. I do 3x a week), my strength has improved significantly. I am excited to continue my training and work on my body composition through Arash's class. Another note to add, is that sometimes it can be daunting to head into a small training class (3-4 people max) and feel 'shy' when trying out new exercises. However, I have always felt at ease and comfortable during these training classes. The vibe of the classes are very friendly and chill, like a group of friends working out - and the music is always on point!

I’ve been going to Alex Ceban’s gym for a couple months, now. The thing that I really like about this gym is that it is all weight resistance training. You don’t have to learn how to work equipment, or worry that you might drop a weight on your toes. My trainer, Arash S., came up with exercises for me that are simple, but very effective. I never write reviews, but I wanted to now because this place is great! My trainer is Arash and he's awesome. He's patient and fun to converse with during workouts. He's shown me a lot of great calisthenics exercises that I never would've known about before coming to this gym. I always feel good leaving the gym; you sweat more than when weightlifting but you're also not too tired afterwards. You really get a complete and fulfilling workout here without lifting any weights. I highly recommend Alex. At first I was a bit skeptical as I've always thought the way to grow was to lift iron, but Alex really helped me with my form, even for something as basic as a pushup, and I got noticeably improved results.

Alex Ceban is a fantastic trainer. His training has helped me correct muscle imbalances and make my back/legs stronger to alleviate pain I feel from sitting at a desk or playing guitar all day. His training regiments are personalized and he does a great job listening to clients when something hurts, or doesn't feel right. I originally had planned to just do 1-on-1 training for a while but have continued with group sessions because he actually can pay enough attention to me that I feel they're very much worth the price.

I've been working with Alex for the past 7 months and am extremely happy with my results. The small group session is perfect since it allows you to get just the right amount of attention - in between a 1-on-1 personal session and a large group exercise class. Alex meticulously designs each individual's program with their specific goals in mind and adjusts whenever needed. From the beginning I was impressed by his expertise (he will instruct you to make subtle changes in form that make the movement so much more efficient) and his knowledge of how to build muscle is evident.

I like trying new gyms and workout styles because I get bored easily but have been with Alex for 4-ish months 2x/week and it still has my attention for sure. There is something very Zen and meditative about body weight training, it is very different than lifting weights. In March 2020 I was just starting to get back to working out in my NYC gym following an ACL reconstruction on 1/31/20. Then COVID happened. So i asked my friend Alex to help me get back into shape while I also worked on rehabbing my knee. Alex developed an excellent program that targeted my issues, increased strength and stamina and shedding weight, all while ensuring my knee was never stressed or at risk. My results are fantastic! In 3.5 months I've regained nearly all the strength in my surgical knee and trimmed 8lbs off my total weight. I'm stronger and fitter now than I was pre-surgery. And this is while being completely virtual!!! I cannot recommend Alex enough, his attention to his clients is unparalleled and he has a great sense of exactly what I'm capable of achieving (and lets me know when he thinks I can give juuust a bit more effort). I came to Alex 6 months out of ACL and meniscus surgery. With the encouragement of my physical therapist and orthopedic surgeon I was already working out my legs to speed the recovery process but wanted to progress more in my own training. Alex is really laid back and patient when it comes to new movements, especially so if you've got a pre-existing injury. I've been training with him for 2 months now and enjoyed it so much I increased my sessions to 4x a week. Workouts always feel intentional and change once you've progressed to a certain point in your strength, and Alex is always great finding new movements and workouts if I have any concerns with my knee. He's great at correcting your form even in the groups (not sure how he does it!) and I even occasionally send him pictures of my food to get feedback. Highly recommend him if you're looking for personal training in Denver!

First off, let me just say that Alex is one of the most genuinely nice guys I've ever met and that his passion for health and fitness is legitimately contagious. I worked out with Alex for a few months and he taught me to view fitness from an entirely different perspective. When we started, we had a conversation about my current training habits and my fitness goals. I have always been skeptical of calisthenics training and most often utilize a combination of free weights and machines when I work out, but I haven't noticeably progressed in several years. Alex built me a routine week-by-week based on my performance in our prior sessions. He studied my form to check for weak points and built me custom workouts designed to help me systematically improve. He helped me fundamentally re-build my fitness routine from the ground up using only my body weight and the results in terms of my strength and endurance became noticeable after only a few weeks. He really made me focus on core strength, endurance, progressive overload and exercise variety. His approach is methodical, challenging and has allowed me to continuously improve over the last few months. He always has time to answer my questions and elaborate on any given exercise or technique that we are using. He is impressively decorated in certifications and is a legitimate professional in his field. Every workout is different, and every workout leaves me feeling exhausted, sore and encouraged that I can continue to do better. I let myself go and wanted to loose some weight and gain some muscle so I started working out with Alex. It was the best decision I could have made! I was really intimidated by the thought of not knowing how to work out, not knowing what to eat, and the prospect that I would not be very good at any of it. Alex was very patient with me in listening to why I wanted to start working out and the issues with self confidence I had about looking like a fool in the gym. After our initial workout to see if we would be a good fit, he came up with a plan on how to tackle my fears and laid it all out on how I can loose weight, integrate the correct nutrition into my diet, slowly get my body into gaining muscle from progressive body weight training, and to give me my self confidence back. He comes up with a plan before I arrive and shares it with me weekly so I can mentally prepare, he tracks my weight weekly to keep me on track, and he provides honest and compassionate feedback about my progress. He truly does care about my progress, and when we are training, I feel he is 100% dedicated to me during our time together. He is super easy to get ahold of and is very responsive when I have questions or issues. I have hit my target weight in 2 1/2 months and I have never felt better. I do plan on still working out with Alex as now that I have got the nutrition as a routine, I have lost my body fat, I am now ready to bulk up with some muscle for definition. I really like that we tackled small goals at first, it was much less intimidating then trying to do everything all at once, I think I would have failed if I did not have Alex's guidance and continuing education. He taught me so much that I can not think him enough for giving me a new perspective on life, it really was a total transformation, and it all started with the first call to Alex. Thank You!!

I've been working with Alex for about 4 months, and I can honestly say its been an absolute fantastic experience. He's both extremely punctual and flexible, this guy pushes you to the limit every session! I had gone to other gyms in the past, but never worked with a personal trainer before. Alex made the transition super smooth, starting out by getting to know my goals(both short and long term) and delivered a comprehensive strategy to meet those goals. Being a little nervous at first, I started out with Alex once a week, but because of his work ethic and depth of knowledge of all the different muscle groups in the body, I changed it to twice a week instead. I began working with Alex in February 2015 in order to prepare for my wedding in Mexico. From our first meeting Alex was nothing but inspirational, knowledgeable and supportive about achieving my goals. I wanted to lose some weight and body fat, learn new techniques and take my fitness and heath regimen to a new level. I have worked out in various forms my whole life but the initial 6 months of training with Alex transformed my body entirely. I began at 202 pounds and 26% body fat in February and by August I was 175 pounds and under 11% body fat. I trained with Alex 3 times per week in person but Alex also wrote me personal programs on the days that I didn’t train with him that were just as good as the days I did. The knowledge that Alex has around training techniques is incredible and based off his endless pursuit of conquering his next personal fitness goal and trying to have his clients follow suit and get to his same level. He also gave me extensive diet advice which was vital in helping me achieve my goals. Since Alex moved to Atlanta I kept training with him under his online platform where on a daily basis he personally would write programs for me. These sessions were tailored to my performance and achieving goals that we mutually discussed. I cannot recommend Alex highly enough and know that there can’t be many trainers out there with his vast knowledge base and determination for his clients to succeed.
