Curious about training?? You have to see Olivia. She created a customized plan for me that repeats a few main exercises so I can track progress, yet varies from session to session so it’s not boring. She’s extremely informative and flexible with her schedule. Not only that, but she’s so easy to get along with! My workouts fly by and after just 2 months, I’m seeing major results- other people have even commented on it! I feel strong and so much more comfortable in the gym! Thanks Olivia!!

I received personal training with Matt for 8 weeks (went one day a week). I saw results by week three (after three sessions of training). I did supplement other days at the gym by myself and I'm also very active (pickleball, running, paddle boarding). But I was impressed to see results in my strength that I had never seen before. I was able to run faster and lift easier. I received education on proper form for lifting and that was important to me as I have never strength trained previously.

I’ve been training with Matt since January 2025 with the goal of maintaining and improving my overall strength and endurance, particularly to enhance my performance in golf. In just a few months, I’ve seen significant progress—not only has my muscle strength increased, but my BMI has also gone down.
Matt is a highly motivating trainer who knows how to push you just the right amount. When you think you’ve reached the maximum amount of reps or otherwise you think you can do, his “Come on!” will give you that last bit of strength you need to finish the rep.
Matt challenges me to go beyond what I thought I was capable of, while still keeping each session engaging and tailored to my goals. He is flexible and easy to work with. His approach is not only focused and encouraging, but he’s sharp and knowledgeable, giving just enough of an explanation on what and why this exercise, this workout will help me get to the next level, which has made a real difference in my consistency and results.
I have trained with Core Progression Elite Personal Training, CP, since 2019, initially beginning at the Northglenn location. I have been into all types of sports and fitness all of my adult life and I was thrilled when a CP location opened in the Sloan’s Lake area. The trainers CP brings on board are well trained and dedicated. I have had nothing but excellent and professional experiences with CP.
I highly recommend Matt to anyone looking for a personal trainer who brings professionalism, dedication and genuine support to every session.

This is a five-star rating for both Core Progression Sloan's Lake and my awesome trainer there, Banks T. I've been training at CP Sloan's two to three times a week for over a year now and absolutely love it. The facility and equipment are new and kept clean; Matt M. (the manager) is super friendly, helpful, and responsive; and the trainers are all at the top of their game, with not just personal-training credentials but also college degrees in related fields and extensive collective experience in athletic performance, strength, conditioning, and rehabilitation. Besides all that, I specifically love working with Banks T. He listens to me and honors what's going on in my body every single workout—which is important to me because (a) I've got a history of spinal issues and chronic SI joint pain and instability and (b) I'm dedicated to keeping my bone mass and skeletal muscle as slide on through to the other side of menopause and beyond. Banks brings knowledge, kindness, and a sense of fun to each workout—but he also kicks my butt! Which is exactly what I need and want! And within just a few of our initial sessions, he was able to dial into some muscle imbalances and compensations that I've been unaware of (but that surely contributed to my back issues over time) and then tailor my workouts to address them. The amount of change I've experienced in my body in the last three months has been truly remarkable. Not only have I built some serious muscle (in places I've never managed to put on muscle before...hello, glutes!), but I've also gained strength and function, which have made moving through my daily life feel awesome. Cannot recommend this place, and Banks specifically, enough.

Great experience so far at Core Progression. I came in mostly from a endurance sports background and didn't have much experience lifting. It's only been 2 months so far but I definitely stronger and more balanced. I'm excited to see where the next few months will lead and the impact it will have with running.
Just as important to me, Nolan is happy to answer all of my questions around lifting philosophy, nutrition, and even talk some NBA hoops. Great guy and would recommend anyone, beginner or advanced, to train with him.

I’ve been training with Wes at Core Progression for the past six months and I couldn’t be happier with the consistent he’s provided in my fitness goals- especially after having a kiddo.
Wes really listened to my goals and put together a plan that challenges me in all the right ways. He puts a big focus on form, so I feel comfortable lifting heavier weights and pushing myself. Each week builds on the last, and he constantly increases the weights to make sure I’m always making progress.
Going to this gym has really helped keep me accountable — having regular sessions makes it so much easier to stay consistent. I’ve seen great results and actually look forward to my workouts twice a week. Wes is super easy to talk to and makes training fun. I've had an excellent experience training at Core Progression. My path to personal training is I need the accountability to show up. I train three days a week, and it's become my favorite part of my day. I started in December and have been doing it for a little over three months. I am in my 40s and feel ten years younger, and I could not be happier with the results so far. The gym and equipment are nice, new, clean, and it's never too crowded. The whole place is really welcoming and is a vibe.
I cannot recommend my personal trainer, Kirtiss, more. He pushes me in an encouraging/positive way to help me power through when needed. Kirtiss is really knowledgeable and does a great job with my personal plan, making adjustments as I progress. He is also a really cool person and easy to talk to, which adds a ton to the whole experience. The rest of the team is great, especially Matt, with whom I had my initial consult and answered all my questions prior to joining.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 7 Stars for Matt Davis, I highly recommend him as your personal trainer! I had a great time working out with him over the past 7 months, and he is a lot of pleasure fun to be around. Matt has an impressive knowledge of joints and muscles and he did a great job tailoring to my needs with an intense program he created for me daily. Not only is he a smart funny guy, I really enjoy him as a person. Matt is encouraging, motivating, kind, relatable, compassionate, supportive, and he always made me feel very comfortable for an hour 5 days a week.
Unfortunately, the gym itself is not a good fit for me and I give it ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 3 Stars. It’s a small gym with only a few people around, and some of the equipment is sub par lacking range. There is also a limited amount of equipment, expensive long prepaid contracts, short weekly notice with inconsistent appointment times, and an unresponsive gym manager. If you like sun baking mornings are best for you, and when the AC is not working it may feel like you’re having a heat stroke…but just treat it like hot yoga and power thru!

I’ve had an incredible experience while working out at Core Progression, specifically the Sloans Lake location. I started working out with Kirtiss about 7 months ago with the hopes of building a habit of going to the gym and being held accountable on a weekly basis. He had tailored weekly workouts to my interests/physical ability while making exercise enjoyable and rewarding. I’ve seen massive improvement in my physical health and daily life improvement to the point I feel the need to exercise on days I’m not going in for training. I’m extremely excited each time I go to Core Progression not only for the workout but I’m met by welcoming people in Matt, who runs that location, and Kirtiss, my trainer. The gym itself is nice; new, boutique. Great, unintimidating, focused atmosphere. It would be awesome, and more value for the dollar, with a couple of additional pieces of equipment and the flexibility for us to work out (even limited) on the days we are not with our trainer. For those reasons, I would give it 4 stars.
But, I give my trainer 6 stars (so it evens out to 5.) Nolan’s approach is tailored, individual. He is motivating without being aggressive. He’ll let you know the purpose and benefit to each exercise. He watches your form closely and makes adjustments accordingly. He cares about steady progress and meeting your goals, but with balance; he's not anti-pizza, anti-mimosa, or anti-cupcake. He just helps you keep it in check.
Run, don’t walk, to Core Progression/Sloans Lake. Talk to Matt, the super cool GM, and request Nolan. You’ll soon be on here writing your own 5 star review.

I’ve been training with Banks at Core Progression for about 12 weeks, and I can’t say enough great things about him and this gym. My main goal was to build all-around strength, and I've worked with a lot of trainers before, but none have helped me make progress like Banks has.
Matt, the owner, is super attentive and pairs you with a trainer who fits your specific goals. Here’s why Banks has been the game-changer for me:
Proper Warm-Ups: Every session starts with a thorough warm-up, focusing on full range of motion (ROM)—which is key if you want to lift heavy.
Full-Body Workouts: The sessions are full-body, and everything is tracked through the Core Progression app, so it's easy to apply what you learn outside the gym.
Varied Workouts: Banks keeps each session fresh, which keeps it fun and engaging.
Motivation and Safety: Banks pushes you to challenge yourself, but never in a way that feels unsafe or over the top. Safety is always a priority.

Poor customer service & sales experience. We signed up for a $3,500 training package after Matt sold us on the spot, promising to “move things around” to secure our 5 or 6 AM workout times. We paid based on those assurances. After days with no follow-up after paying, we had to chase them down. When they finally responded, my partner got a 5:30 AM slot, but I was only offered afternoon options despite the fact that we had made it clear on the front end that wouldn’t work (due to my work schedule).
We were excited to do this but the lack of follow-through, planning and professionalism was disappointing. On top of that, he never apologized or took responsibility for their oversights. Luckily we saw in the contract we could cancel within 3 days and are getting refunded.

Core Progression Sloan’s Lake = Results!
I’ve gotten much stronger (lost fat & gained muscle). The individual attention makes lifting heavier weights safe and effective. Some of my favorite hobbies are easier now (hiking and yoga) because of the strength gains I’ve made. I’ve worked with a few trainers in the past and Matt Davis is honestly the best, so request him for your trainer if it fits your schedule. He is kind, motivating, supportive, encouraging, and makes me feel extremely comfortable - even in a gym environment which has historically been intimidating for me. At first I was on the fence about about the expense, but it has been more than worth it for both my physical & mental health! 10 out of 10 highly recommend😊

My experience with Core Progression at Sloan's Lake was disappointing, to say the least. What I thought would be a simple information session turned into an uncomfortable high-pressure sales pitch. The salesman, Matt, was incredibly pushy. When I explained I couldn't afford their services, he suddenly dropped the price from $100 to $60 per session, claiming he "knew how much I wanted this." In hindsight, it felt more like he was trying to hit his sales targets.
Reluctantly, I signed up, lured by the apparent discount. However, the problems didn't end there. My assigned trainer, Nolan, was consistently late to our sessions. When I requested a change, the gym's attitude towards me shifted noticeably. I no longer felt welcome or comfortable during my visits.
I decided not to continue after my contract ended and followed their cancellation policy by sending an email. To my dismay, I recently discovered they're still charging my account months later!
While Core Progression does offer good training services, their business practices left a lot to be desired. The aggressive sales tactics, scheduling issues, and billing problems overshadowed any potential benefits. If you're considering joining, be wary of these red flags and perhaps explore other options. Don't let yourself get pressured into a commitment you're not comfortable with.

It’s a perfectly sized gym with a carefully selected array of gym equipment but what makes the gym special are the trainers.
Their sincere care for their clients and attention to detail can be clearly seen.

Core Progression has truly become my fitness haven since moving to Colorado, and I owe much of my success to my trainer, Nolan. After just a month of sessions with him, I'm already seeing results. Nolan listened to my needs and built a program around my goals and more importantly doesn't force me to do anything I dont enjoy (looking at you burpees!). Nolan's expertise on form and technique is invaluable and clearly the missing piece of my at home workouts. Could not recommend Core Progression enough!
