This gym is a prime example of poor management. They actively delete negative reviews, which speaks volumes about their lack of transparency. My experience as a potential member was met with an unprofessional and dismissive attitude—completely inappropriate for a business supposedly built on “respect.”

Their outdated dress code, specifically banning women from wearing sports bras, is ridiculous. It’s hard to believe that in a fitness environment, management is more concerned with policing attire than fostering a supportive and inclusive space. This level of insecurity from management is both outdated and embarrassing. When I asked about the dress code, this was the owners response: “Candidly, it’s been our experience that individuals whose top concerns are how much clothing they can wear are not individuals that we extend a membership offer to.”

If you value respect, professionalism, and common sense, listen to the Yelp reviews of Dark Horse Fitness. This is not the gym for you.

We love this gym. If you follow the instructions and set up an appointment for a tour, all will go great and you will obtain the information you need to join. The gym has standards. There is a dress code for both men and women which creates an inclusive and unintimidating environment. We love the equipment and how it is thoughtfully placed throughout the facility. If you are just learning to lift weights, the owner is an expert teacher in proper lifting form and aims to educate the community in these techniques. This is a great place for the right people who are honest, have good intentions, and respect the facility and the people in it. We love Dark Horse!

This gym is my second home. Mr. And Mrs. Sanchez are some of the most awesome people I've met since moving to Colorado and got me settled in nicely into their gym. Since then, I've gotten acquainted with many of the members whom I've developed strong bonds with and have become a part of the family there.

It's an awesome atmosphere full of well maintained equipment and bay doors to be opened for some of the more sizzling days of the summer. I'd recommend this gym to anyone anywhere

To say this gym is great would be an understatement.

My wife and I have been going daily for the last ~1.5 years now, and having been to dozens of gyms throughout my years I can tell you that this place is exceptional in its equipment, cleanliness, community, and overall feeling of spaciousness.

Dark Horse facility boasts a diverse range of equipment, including well-maintained vintage machines. The environment is conducive to personal growth and improvement. Lockers and changing stalls are available in the restrooms. While the posing room is often locked, it provides an excellent space to monitor progress and features an inversion table. MODERN ERA, OLD SCHOOL IRON WAREHOUSE VIBE!!! Large, clean facility with lots of quality equipment. Awesome layout! Dark Horse Fitness is for athletes who are serious about their training goals at all levels and not just training for “The Gram”. Edgar was very accommodating to stop what he was doing to provide me with a last minute tour. You can tell by walking through the facility the owners (Edgar & Wendy) are passionate about what they have built. How can a bodybuilding gym dress code women for working out in a sports bra and leggings when the point of working out when bodybuilding is to improve your physique and enhance muscle mass. How can you implement this dress code when bodybuilding includes wearing a posing outfit such as a two piece bikini set or small trunks. Screams insecure and misogynistic to me, especially when men can comfortably work out in tank tops and shorts

Dark Horse is easily one of the best gym's in Colorado and I'm sad to leave. If it weren't for Dark Horse, I probably wouldn't be pursuing a career in personal training. Called to ask about membership and if they were open today. Man on the phone was very short. Said 'what do you want?' And then said no we are not open. Asked me to call next week. If you can't answer the phone in a professional and helpful manner why bother helping small businesses.

I've been working out in gyms for over 40 years and still at it hard at age 65. Dark Horse is hands down THE BEST GYM I've ever belonged to period! This place is amazing. The owner was awesome and making my hectic schedule work so I could get to the gym to get signed up and shown around.
As he was showing me around he knew every single person in the gym by name. Something i found to be very impressive.
On top of that they have great equipment and free weights, its setup very well, and rarely is the gym ever over crowded.
All around this is the best gym I have been too in Colorado.

After receiving no response/apology. I want to review this gym after a few days of letting this situation fully digest. As I have tried to be nothing but reasonable, respectful and apologetic over this misunderstanding, I feel as I have been treated unfairly in this scenario. I also want to state that I would have had no problem paying the respected amount, if I was fully explained what the membership rates were and there was not conflicting information on their website. The issue was the website stated the family pass was for "immediate family" and when I was told my sibling could not join. I was genuinely confused why the website stated otherwise. I received a very rude phone call after I brought up this inconsistent information. When I noticed he was very distraught over this, I immediately tried to diffuse the situation and apologize for this misunderstanding. My intent was not try to "save a buck", my intent was to fully understand the purpose of their family pass and inform him that their website had false information. He also stated they are updating the wording of the family pass. So, all in all I am not allowed in this gym as a fellow military member because I asked about a military discount, and I was misinformed by their website what a family pass was. I was told I "would have devalued their gym by seeking discounts" I have never had this happen to me before and I frankly do not know what the correct response is. Don't get me wrong I believe this could have been a great gym and I was really looking forward to working out here. But my conclusion about this gym is it is very newly owned and the owners, which seem to be very great people, are very new to working in customer service. They loss 3 potential clients, that were more than willing to pay the full amount, because of some very minuscule misunderstanding. I honestly want to see them succeed, so I hope they can see this as more of a learning experience to not be so pre-judgmental of people and do not let your pride get in the way when you make a mistake. I will be joining another gym today so I wish them the best.

This is the BEST gym!! There is plenty of room and no waiting on weights or machines!! Edgar and Wendy had added some new machines and invested a lot of time to make sure every clients needs get met! They have a posing room for u competitors, kids room with tvs all over gym to watch you kidos! They both can help you with training, give you advice on nutrition! Lastly they are super sweet, nice people that love to HELP everyone!!
