This gym is clearly trying to create a safe environment for women, and I fully understand the need for that. There are men whose behavior makes gyms uncomfortable or unsafe — that’s a real issue, and it deserves a real solution.

But this space unfortunately feels like a TERF-adjacent response to a behavior problem, not a behavior solution.

Their website says they welcome “the ladies and the theys,” yet nothing explains how this applies to all nonbinary people — especially those who present masculine, or anyone whose gender doesn’t fit the aesthetic of femininity. Women-only models often filter out respectful queer and nonbinary people while still allowing toxic behavior from those who simply “look” like they belong. That’s the part that’s disheartening.

Calling the space Divine Feminine Fitness is also ironic, because the divine feminine isn’t tied to anatomy. It’s an energetic quality — something that people of all genders can embody. The divine feminine absolutely includes masc-presenting AFAB folks and AMAB they/them folks. The divine feminine doesn’t check between your legs.

I don’t understand why this couldn’t be a women-centered space with strict community guidelines and a values-based behavioral code, instead of relying on exclusion by gender presentation. You can protect women without marginalizing queer people who already feel unsafe in most traditional gym environments.

I’m saddened to see the aesthetic of inclusivity (including the Progress flag) without clear safeguards for edge-case identities — the exact people who fall through the cracks of binary thinking. Discrimination with a rainbow hat is still discrimination.

I wish the business success and truly hope the model evolves toward a more behavior-focused approach that protects people from bad actors, not from everyone who happens to look masculine. Denver deserves safer fitness spaces — for women, yes, but also for queer folks who exist outside the binary entirely.

Love this gym and the supportive community. It's such an amazing place to workout, whether you're new to lifting weights or have been doing it for years. The coaches are terrific and will meet you where you're at in your fitness journey. The workouts are tough but fun, and the people are simply the nicest, funnest group you'll meet!

Extremely supportive trainers and fellow members! I am very much out of shape but I never feel like I am holding the class back. Trainers show alternative moves for positions I can’t do yet, help with form and extremely encouraging. I am already moving more in and out of the gym. I feel confident and trusting in my body. Not only do I move more , I am also reading more. A surprising but exciting side effect of the gym committee.

I am in day 2 and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this gym. The environment is incredibly welcoming, the coaches are experts in supporting everyone with individual care and strategies, and the classes are challenging but built around your level of expertise or ability and comfort. It's an all female gym, which I love because I don't get that creep feeling at other places. Plus, the group classes feel like personal coaching because the class sizes are just right. Love the variety of courses, the open gym and the overall sense of connected community. Ladies- check this place out. I promise you'll love it.

I absolutely LOVE Kali Strength. I've been a member for about two months and I'm really starting to see a difference in this 59 year old menopausal body! The trainers are top notch and very knowledgeable. The workouts are not easy but it really encourages me to push harder (but still safely).

I love this gym! I’ve never worked out in a more inclusive place. There are people of all ages, sizes, and abilities, and it’s a good place for all of them. The coaches are all really excellent and attentive. It really does feel like a community rather than just a place to workout.

This review is long overdue… I have been a member of Kali Strength just shy of two years and I can’t say enough good things about this gym. I absolutely love it! But here are the areas Kali excels as a gym.

The Coaching staff is amazing and super knowledgeable, Lindsay the owner/coach will push you and bring out the best in you.

The Community is STRONG figuratively and literally. This is by far the best gym I’m been to that has a strong sense of community (e.g. annual camping trip annual Renfaire annual powerlifting competition, annual white elephant gift exchange, monthly book club, friends & family workouts on most major holidays).

The Programming get ready for PRs and Gainz.

The class variety there is something for everyone- Olympic lifting, powerlifting, good old fashioned strength training, mobility and stretch and much more!

So sign up for your free one week intro now!

I have been coming to Kali for nearly 1.5 years, and it has honestly changed my entire experience with the gym. The community there is fantastic; the coaches are knowledgeable, personable, and so engaging; and I've learned so much about my health, my body, and the things that work well for me. I've reached developed new strengths, and honestly, on the days I can't come to the gym, I miss being there!

I have never been so consistent in exercising--and never been so happy to sweat so much--as since I have found Kali!

I love Kali! Let's just say I needed a "fitness comeback" and I've found it here. I was trying to work out at home, but fear of reinjury and lack of accountability held me back big time. I have gained so much from the coaching, and the culture and vibe here is so fun it keeps me coming back for more.

Editing to add: book club, puzzle competitions, potlucks and other shenanigans happen regularly. Powerlifting platforms enhance the experience for those who wish to simply lift heavy. Classes now offer an option to lifting if you only want cardio. The great coaches always give individual attention, as well.

Also, compare prices to other specialty gyms and you will find the pricing here very competitive.

Women who want to increase their overall fitness should stop looking and sign up here. Kali Strength is an amazing place for women to workout, gain strength beyond your dreams, and enjoy a supportive, welcoming community. The programming is amazing, and the coaches are top-notch. My physical limitations are slowly being overcome, because they know how to modify the workouts to meet every athlete's needs. Don't think you are an athlete? You will soon enough, if you join this gym for women. Did I mention the community? These people are my friends now! I look forward to working out! You get an entire week free to try it out--do it! Why wait?

I love this place! Before moving to Denver a few years ago I was part of a Crossfit gym in California and could never find anything close to the community and coaching I had there. This gym has come the closest. It's a really fun and welcoming space that listens to its members and does everything it can to support you in your fitness goals. Really happy to be part of the Kali fam. Come through if you wanna work out with a bunch of baddies.

This place is great! The coaches are attentive and helpful, and they just expanded the gym space to allow for more weightlifting. It's a safe space with a great community. There are people of all ages and experience levels that come here, and everyone is made to feel like they belong. If you're into it, they do community events outside the gym like camping and book club. Absolutely recommend.

As a lady on the verge of 70, I'm by far the oldest gal at Kali. But I thoroughly enjoy striving and sweating alongside the diverse and mutually supportive women who demonstrate commitment to health (and feminist community, I think) by habituating this gym. I must praise Michelle, who coaches the classes I attend. She draws from a bottomless well of knowledge to adapt the planned routines to meet the limitations of any of us recovering from an injury or in an early stage of fitness, yet still ensure the exercise meets the requirement of challenging muscle and endurance in order to build muscle and endurance. There are women here whose are mind-blowingly strong; women who are simply fit; and women who are working towards strength inside and out. I admire them all. Every personal record --whether big or small-- is celebrated by everyone. These are real work-outs. They feel difficult. They feel great.

I am passing through Colorado, and I have wanted to try out women’s CrossFit for a long time. I signed up for an afternoon class, and it was so much fun! My coach was Ginger, and she did a great job explaining everything and making the class so much fun. I will be back to sign up in the future once we come back to Colorado.

Kali Strength is awesome. Friendly, rigorous environment. A lot of open gym availability. Solid coaching. Great barbell-centered classes in addition to more typical WOD classes. Cross-fit gyms are always going to be pricier, but this gym has really competitive rates in comparison to some in the area, especially considering the amount of open gym time. I feel lucky to live close, but would be willing to drive longer because it really checks off all the boxes for me.

For years I've been saying I wish there was ladies night at the gym, where we could lift heavy things and get our workouts in without having to swap in a set with a guy busy on his phone or staring at himself in the mirror. This gym is ladies night every day and with awesome ladies and instructors and workouts! If you're looking to get in shape with a community of supportive, badass women this is your place.

Love this gym!!

I joined Kali without any CrossFit experience but they made me feel so welcome and part of the team right from the start. While learning all of the lifts and techniques, the coaches were right by my side ready to help and guide me. Whether you’re a first timer or an experienced cross fitter this gym is an excellent choice! The Kali squad is such an amazing group of women and I’m so happy to be a part of the team.

I joined Summer 2020... right in the middle of the pandemic...but the Kali Strength team made me feel safe and informed during such a turbulent time. The facility is always kept clean, the equipment is cleaned after every use and everyone is respectful of CDC guidelines.

I joined Kali Strength about 7 months ago after moving to the Cherry Creek area. From the moment I walked in, for my complimentary classes, to becoming a full Member, I felt welcomed by everyone there. Lindsay and her team are wonderful coaches who want to help you meet your goals, whatever they might be. Kali has become a home away from home where I have been able to enjoy a community of awesome ladies and get my butt kicked in every workout. The workouts are never the same and push you to be better then you were the day before. 10/10 recommend lifting with us! Join Kali strength, you won’t regret it!!

Crossfit kali is the best! Straight from the page, it really is a Crossfit gym “built for women, by women, to empower women.” Awesome vibes. The coaches are all super nice and made me feel more than welcome as a drop in, AND you can try one week out for free! The community, the members there, so awesome and such great people. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Programming and coaching is great. Lots of encouragement from coaches and members. Definitely a gym for all levels. From beginner to experienced athletes, the prescribed workouts can be tailored to your ability, so don’t be shy. You will get all the support you need. Overall, the gym environment/ facility, the programming, the coaches/coaching, members and community, and philosophy: ALL KICKASS! Ps. The logo is pretty sick too ;) thanks Crossfit kali!

Excellent gym for ladies looking to get stronger with some friendly competition along the way. The coaches stress the importance of perfect form and have always made me feel safe. The class sizes run on the smaller side so the coaches can really monitor performance and technique. Every girl I've met there seems so supportive and inspirational in their own way. Highly recommend stopping by for a class and seeing for yourself!

Crossfit Kali owners and members have a wonderful and welcoming vibe. When you walk into the gym the owners smile and welcome everyone. After going to a co-ed crossfit gym for several years, I wasn't sure how I would feel about an all women's gym...turns out joining Crossfit Kali was one of the best decisions I've ever made! The programming is awesome, as it is very difficult, but the coaches are really great at modifying and catering to everyone's individual needs. Crossfit Kali is amazing gym. I have been going to Crossfit Kali consistently for a year now. And I have improved so much in my lifting form and gymnastics skills. I went to 3 other crossfit gym in the Denver area before I found Kali. And I felt like I got lost in the mix, the classes were designed for just men, games athletes, or just 2 big for one person to coach correctly. I never lasted longer than 3 months at those gyms, because I either got hurt or burned out.

Kali is different Warren and Anderson built a community that no matter your skill level you can just come in and get a great work in. They care about you and your safety, so they take the time to teach you. And they take the time to listen to you, what hurts, what are your goals.

So if you are looking for a gym you want to keep coming back to, give them a try.

As of now, I have been doing crossfit about a year and a half, and this gym is beyond any others. While I've always had a positive experience with coaches, these ladies are on another level. They have an incredible way of breaking it down and making the most complex movements understandable. The atmosphere, the optimism and encouragement, the relentlessness and dedication... Everything a gym should encompass (...and more...!) this one provides.
