I stumbled upon Jen’s class by chance on Google Maps, and it turned out to be the best thing I could’ve done for my body. Her classes aren’t just yoga—they’re a blend of movement and mobility that ease the aches and pains that come with an active life (and, let’s be honest, aging!). I tend to carry stress in all the wrong places, and Jen’s approach has been a game-changer. I went from barely being able to move my neck and shoulders to feeling open, fluid, and pain-free. If you’re looking for more than just a typical yoga class—something that truly supports your body’s ability to move freely—Jen is the one to see!

I have been practicing yoga with Jen since early 2016. She teaches a style of yoga that focuses on improving one’s stability, mobility, strength and overall health. She is extremely knowledgeable in anatomy and biomechanics, and also approachable and encouraging to all who learn from her. Her classes and private sessions can be adapted and are suitable for people of all abilities. Whether you are a young athlete, a working mom in her 40s (like me), or an aging grandparent working to improve your mobility, I’d highly recommend you give For the Joy Yoga a try! You will love it!

Jen is an incredible yoga instructor, the best I’ve ever worked with. Her deep knowledge of anatomy helps ensure that every class is carefully crafted to relax and strengthen the body without injury. She plans a new class each week, which keeps us working different muscle groups and builds a strong sense of body awareness. I’ve gained a lot of strength and flexibility, and just love attending class with Jen. Her buoyant energy and passion for yoga are contagious.

The Monday "Man"-yoga class is great. Totally not what you would think. Leave feeling refreshed, but know your muscles are going to wake up feeling it the next morning.
