I love everything about HOTWORX! I have really trying to get back into shape and tried a few other places but this place is the best. I am already seeing a difference and I feel great! I have been a HOTWORX member since July 2022. So glad I joined. It truly is the best cross training I have done. The Staff always has a friendly smile and greets me by using my name. I’m so thankful to have found this little gem! I currently work from home and juggle three little ones, these 40 min sessions are what I need to reset and recharge. It is always clean and staff is friendly and the new owners are genuinely interested is doing everything to create a community of Hotworx family. 15 minutes was all it took to get me hooked, my excuses stopped there. I can do anything for 15 minutes. More workout, less time. I've attended over 50 private classes and am feeling amazing. The classes are open to everyone but I'm self conscious so i go when the schedule is clear. The heat helps with muscle soreness so you can live your normal life day to day without pain. I've tried new classes from Barre to yoga, pilates and cycling. This is the best thing that I have done for myself in years.

If you're signing up, sign up and cancel right away. They lock you into a contract promising to stay 3 months, and then a 2 month notice to cancel (which they don't tell you about.) Trust me, by the time those 5 months are over, you'll have plateaued and it'll be time to get a membership at a real gym.

This review is a bit lengthy, for which I apologize for up front, but long story short: this franchise is a scam (see point 1 below) and the cancellation policy is absurd (see point 3 below). Here’s the story.

I went to HOTWORX for over 6 months and then decided to cancel and go to a real gym instead because of point number 1 below. I first went because I was doing hot yoga at Core Power to solve some chronic neck pain before the pandemic hit, but with the pandemic I liked the individual saunas that HOTWORX offers. The owners are great but I need to address some really big issues.

1. I’m a scientist by training, and the one thing that always bugged me about HOTWORX (not just this studio but the brand as a whole) is they market the workouts as “3D training - heat, infrared energy, and exercise.” I can’t get over how misleading this is, and it’s honestly false advertising. Infrared energy IS heat. They are NOT different. You’re NOT getting “3D training,” you’re simply getting a hot workout (which is fine, but don’t lie about it). Another example of false advertising from this business is the promise that you are “detoxing” your body which is not a scientifically proven fact. For decades, the fitness industry has propagated this type of misleading information, specifically targeted at women because words like “detox” and “tone” and “reduce cellulite” can be very attractive to women, but it’s actually very predatory and HOTWORX contributes to this false information with seemingly no remorse. Probably because they know it’s all a lie and if they marketed it for what it is, it wouldn’t be a profitable business. But I digress.

2. I was told that the workouts would change every few months. I went for over 6 months and they never once changed. Not only did the recordings not change, but the schedule never changed either. And if you’re like most people who work a full time job and go to the gym before or after work at essentially the same time every day (hello schedules and habits!), you’re pretty limited in what classes you have access to. Again, false advertising.

3. The cancellation policy is ridiculous. First, I was not clearly informed up front that if you wanted to cancel you have to give 60 days notice (which means you’ll be charged for another 2 months past your cancellation date). I’m sure this was in fine print in the contract, so shame on me for not being more diligent about it, but it’s rather hard to read the contract when you’re being pressured to sign in person right then and there and someone is looking over your shoulder…. Should’ve seen the red flags from the beginning. Also, SIXTY DAYS for a gym cancellation?? I have NEVER seen that, and honestly if you need people to continue to pay you for 2 months after they cancel, that’s a sign of a poorly ran business.

Second, the first time I called about a month ago to cancel my membership, the lady working apparently didn’t know how to do that, but she assured me that she would take care of it when the owner got in a few hours later and she would call me back to confirm. I was told this 3 separate times, but I never received a call back nor cancellation confirmation, and was also never told about the 60 day policy OR the fact I had to sign a cancellation agreement *in person*. I then called approximately 15 more times over the course of a month (and received NO answer or call back) and visited in person on 3 separate occasions during STAFFED HOURS but no one was there. How can you not staff your location during staffed hours or return customer’s calls? Today I got lucky and the owner was there. She pulls up my account and (shocker), it still hadn’t been cancelled.

Anyways, again I apologize for the lengthy review but I hope this saves at least one person from the headache I endured at HOTWORX (and the blatantly false and predatory advertisements that I was fed for months - from a scientist, this franchise is a scam).

I joined this HOTWORX in Highlands Ranch right after the first covid shutdown when Tatiana and Andrew were just opening their doors. Proud to say one of their first members! I cannot say enough great things about my experience! They are so warm and welcoming as well as their staff, specifically Victoria. Being business owners they always go above and beyond and knew my name after the first day. After a few job changes and a move I was able to get a Sweat Anywhere membership where it has allowed me to experience a few different studios across Colorado and the customer service experience at this location is by far the best!

As a former fitness professional, I Absolutely LOVE the concept and the actual workout! Will definitely be open to a different location.
However…this particular location in Highlands Ranch is owned by a couple that have ZERO business acumen or customer service to speak of. The hard-nose, high-pressure sales by the wife, Tatiana is unbearable. She (wife/owner) spoke very poorly about the other locations-which seems rather unprofessional and ironic. The type of workout is mostly safe, but can be dangerous to some without proper knowledge or training. The sakes-pitch i got was just that-no warnings or education about potential risks. They were training a very professional and down to earth gal at the time of my visit, whom I would have signed up with were it not for the obnoxious owner. Friends and neighbors have also shared with me about their horror-story interactions with this particular location and sadly have lost quite a bit of money as a result of the unscrupulous business practices here.

I am in the fitness industry and I love this workout. The workout is quick, you can control the intensity and working out in the infrared has been amazing for my old shoulder and hip injuries. The staff is amazing and the 24 hour access to any workout can't be beat. Check it out as your primary workout or a supplemental to any routine. I highly recommend.

I love how I feel after each session! I fell in love with infrared sauna a couple years ago and was spending a small fortune on sauna sessions.

I adore it here because I can work out inside the sauna whenever I want and as often as I want to for $59 per month. Great for my health and affordable 💚

I love this gym and overall experience. The owners and staff are responsive, professional and above all, encouraging of my fitness goals and overall health. I am not a group workout person or in to busy gyms so the studios and ability to make my own appts and really get a GREAT sweat in is such a treat and gives me the satisfaction and results I have been looking for. Don’t recommend it! The costumer service is the first thing matters to me! Lying on the phone to offer an free trial and then trying make a commitment the first time you walk in is not ideal for any new costumer! I had to edit this review because you don’t even want to apologize for what you have done! We went to the other location and made a commitment with them because they were much more professional. They promised a free trial and when we got there, they said no there is no free trial and you have to pay $51 for rest of the month which was for less than 10 days. However the membership price for a month is $59

DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!! DONT I got a membership at this gym thinking it would be a great place to work out. The drive and Covid kept me from being able to ever use the facility. I called to cancel after a month and talked to the male owner who informed me that I was locked into a few months because of the cancelation fee and that it would be two months till I could cancel fully. I said okay but could he please make a note to cancel me after those months please. He verbally agreed on the phone. Fast forward to months later I saw I was still getting charged, I call again and speak to a woman. She is kind and understanding apologized and said she would cancel me immediately, another verbal agreement in which my husband heard..... now months after that my credit card is still being charged. My husband and I start reading fine print online you must go to the actual location and sign a cancelation with a 60
Day cancellation notice which is what I’m assuming he told me I had to do (then continued to charge me after the 60 days he verbally agreed to) OR pay a 90 dollar cancellation fee..... or you can also send a certified letter of cancelation..... it is like literally being locked into a contract where people just keep taking your money and lie to you about the lengths you have to actually take to cancel knowing you’ve bonded yourself into a contract you can’t get out of.... WORST THING EVER!!!!!!!!!

Was just visiting from out of town but wish my location was as good as this one. Super friendly and knowledgable employees a real positive vibe. Also last year I had an injury from playing tennis and the infrared heat from hotworx training healed it at twice the speed. No better deal in the gym market in my opinion.

I've been going for 4 months now and after getting a replacement for my shoulder I have found myself able to do .much more thanks to the infrared heat. I think that considering this is Andrew and Tatiana's first business they're trying hard and we can all give them suggestions and I think that's always helpful I definitely would recommend it.

Poor communication. Made appointment at 5:00 on Thursday. In text, Andrew mixed up times and then never even showed up, gave a heads up the appointment was canceled once I always arrived (I confirmed 2 days prior; but they cancel you if you do not confirm day of). Was very excited for this and now simply disappointed.

I had a great experience today during my first visit to HOTWORX! I was greeted kindly and was thoroughly walked through the process of how HOTWORX works. I am so excited about this place! I joined after my first session, and I can’t wait to start seeing the results of the infrared heat. I’ve been to several Hotworx locations in different states. I have to say that Highlands Ranch is top notch with everything from communication and cleanliness to pure professionalism and friendliness. I love this location and the owners/staff. If you’re looking for a workout that is unlike any other, Hotworx is it. I benefit so much from the infrared heat and the challenging workouts. My doctor actually prescribed infrared heat to me to help with an autoimmune issue. Addicted to Hotworx? Yes, I am.
