After a Traumatic Brain Injury/Concussion caused by a car accident, I had constant headaches for weeks and nothing helped. A friend recommended the hyperbaric chamber at Icelandic Fitness, and I felt relief after the very first session. Within days, I was clearer, functioning better, and friends noticed the difference.

The owner, Jason Stone, is incredibly supportive, professional, and a great communicator. He truly cares about your health and makes the whole process comfortable and easy to understand.

I continue HBOT weekly as I heal, and I’m genuinely grateful for the progress I’ve made. Highly recommend.

Jason Stone, founder and owner of Icelandic fitness is a real pro in fitness, and overall wellness training for the individual. He is positive, kind, and intuitive. I have been working with him for the last couple of years, and he has helped me tremendously. (That includes golf tips when using his golf simulator.) His training facility is well equipped and welcoming. I would highly recommend Jason and Icelandic Fitness and Recovery to anyone!

First time utilizing hyperbaric therapy for recovery and wow, what a game changer for reducing bruising and promoting faster healing! Icelandic is an incredibly comfortable, professional and knowledgeable place to go when you’re at your most vulnerable. Jason Stone is the kindest owner, super accommodating and the best prices in Denver! I know it sounds too good to be true but it’s a hidden gem more people need to know about.

Jason and Icelandic Fitness literally saved my life after I was stricken by a horrible and very aggressive bout of pneumonia.

Long story short, the everyday run of the mill flu, turned into a secondary pneumonia and horrible lung infection for me. My right lung was over 80% infected while my left lung was a little over 50 infected. This was NOT walking pneumonia but rather the kind of pneumonia that pretty much kills people when 50% of the lung is infected. once again... I had 80% infection rate. I spent over 5 hours in the ER, was given emergency injection of antibiotics, pregnazone and fist fulls of oral antibiotics. After that, they pretty much told me to pray that everything works and that I’d beat it.

As an ex-athlete, longtime skier and mountain biker, this was the craziest medical game plan I had heard of. Fortunately, with what little bit of mental cognition I had left, I decided to look into (HBOT) hyperbaric oxygen therapy for pneumonia relief. Lucky for me, Icelandic Fitness popped up after a Google Search or two. These HBOT treatments along with Jason's meticulous oversight, worked miracles on my health and I survived my ordeal. I don't want to get into all of the science behind the efficacy of (HBOT) hyperbaric oxygen therapy, all I can say is the information is out there and the Hyperbaric Oxygen Institute lists some unbelievable benefits. Should this therapy be sought to treat pneumonia? 100%, yes! As a matter of fact it just seems crazy that none of the medical staff even mentioned it as a treatment option. That's how great this treatment works. I did FOUR days in a row at about 1.5 hours per session. That might be a bit much for some people, but I'm confident Jason will help identify how many sessions and how long each will work best for you. It really comes down to his expertise and him asking the right questions about what's going on with your body. Tissue repair, accelerated healing or overall recovery, Jason has you really, really covered.

Want to increase the odds and beat pneumonia? Make sure you incorporate (HBOT) hyperbaric oxygen therapy... under Jason's watchful eye.

If I could rate higher than a “5”, I would! I went because I needed the HBOT….. I am very claustrophobic, but Jason walked me through this experience and checked on me regularly! I got so comfortable with my experience that I continued to go for several months. The HBOT was a game changer for me, post surgery ! I highly recommend trying it! Jason is absolutely fabulous- personable and knowledgeable! I wouldn’t go anywhere else !

I recently started coming for HBOT sessions to help with the fatigue I experience coming back to Denver after travel to the east coast. I also have sensitive ears that are very sensitive to pressure changes so I was a little nervous.

Every single visit, Jason has taken such incredible care of me- always checking in during the pressure build-up and release (and between), assisting me in and out of the chamber, sharing knowledge about health, and much more. As a healthcare provider myself, I am absolutely impressed with the level of service Jason offers. Healthcare needs more Jasons in this world.

It is evident that Jason's business is his passion for helping others. He truly wants to help you to live well and arms himself with an immense amount of knowledge and wisdom to share, even if you're just coming in for an HBOT session.

This is one of the best gym memberships I have ever had. Like the other reviews, I am very pleased with how clean and well kept the gym is. I constantly see staff putting away weights or disinfecting equipment. For a smaller gym there is an excellent variety of weights, cardio, and recovery equipment available to gym members. The personal trainers are also great. I am currently working with Matt and highly recommend him to any gym members. His workouts are challenging and effective, and he is great at keeping clients engaged and motivated throughout the workout. Matt also gives very easy to understand and informative feedback. Needed hyberbaric oxygen therapy after surgery. As the biggest claustrophobe you will meet, I wasn't sure I could do it. Jason got me through each session personally! He allowed me to have basic control over the chamber so I knew I could get out if I started to freak out! Life changing is not an over statement. I was referred to Icelandic Fitness, and owner Jason Stone specifically, during the pandemic when not only did I need to move but I needed someone who had patience and could help me regain strength and confidence. I had a herniated disc situation and had had triple hernia surgery months before. As a formerly active individual, those injuries coupled with lockdown translated to weight gain, muscle weakness and mild depression. Jason was and continues to be a highlight in my week. He’s helped me build my strength and come back from those injuries and push me into new fitness areas. Plus he’s just a terrifically kind soul. Everyone at the studio is a delight and brings energy and knowledge and enthusiasm to their craft. I cannot recommend Icelandic Fitness, Jason, and the entire team highly enough. They are nothing short of AMAZING !

I've been a client of Jason's for nearly 5 years. While I first sought him out for strength training, I've been blown away by his deep, well rounded knowledge of conditioning, nutrition, and recovery. As my fitness goals have evolved over time, Jason has adjusted seamlessly to keep the workouts engaging and effective. In particular, he's helped me crosstrain for several seasons of cycling races. Jason's a strong communicator and perceptive. He checks in frequently with me during workouts and, more importantly, notices what's working and makes the right changes to our focus areas and intensity.

After sustaining shoulder and back injuries in a crash, Jason redesigned our time to help me recover faster and avoid long-term issues. He has a sophisticated knowledge of human anatomy and how to recover from trauma. He used massage, prescribed activities for me to do at home, and was a complete expert in exercises to come back stronger from my injury.

Above all, Jason's a great person with a great attitude. If you have any questions about fitness, pain, or just feeling better day-to-day, definitely check him out.

Warning...this review is a bit long :-)

I started seeing Jason in June 2020 after a difficult time in my life. I have always been into fitness and exercise. I was a D1 college athlete and have been a competitive age-group runner. After severely straining a back muscle along with a silent vertebral compression fracture, I was in intense pain and was unable to exercise for a few months. The lack of exercise changed my brain chemistry and my entire being in a very negative way. I lost a lot of weight and felt so foreign in my own body. I didn't recognize myself. I had no strength and no endurance. My fitness level plummeted to a level I could have never imagined. I felt completely lost living in a body that failed me and that I didn’t recognize. It was scary how it all came down so fast and changed my entire being.

Once the pain subsided a bit after a few months, I started working with Jason to regain some strength, body weight, and my fitness level. He was incredibly compassionate, empathetic, and encouraging. After my first visit, it was clear that Jason was dedicated to and passionate about helping people. His knowledge in strength training, muscle/body movement, flexibility, and corrective exercise is expansive and second to none. He somehow knew the perfect pace for me, when to progress, and when to push me. He developed an individualized program for me that integrated strength training, flexibility/stretching, balance, and core exercises. For most of my life I only focused on cardio and weight training, but after working with Jason, I learned how important the other components truly are for overall physical fitness.

I initially felt incredibly alone in my journey back to health until I met Jason. He was a true partner in helping me restore my health and his partnership and positivity are the reasons I am feeling so much better and back to my old self. When he was working with me, 100% of his attention and focus was on me. He wasn't distracted like so many people are these days and was constantly correcting my positioning and movements (he admits to being a perfectionist!).

His personalized integrative program has been life-changing for me. My body moves in directions/ways it has never moved before, I feel better during and after my cardio workouts, and most importantly I haven't been injured (which has been a constant battle for me in the past with running).

I will be forever grateful to Jason for his help and genuine support in getting me back on track and living life again after what was a very dark period of time for me. Jason is an exceptional performance coach/fitness trainer, but an even more exceptional human being.

I have chronic anemia, and my doctor said my iron levels were so low I could fall asleep and not wake up. Infusions just weren’t working for me, and my immune system was attacking every part of my body. I did a Google search and read about hyperbaric oxygen therapy. My doctor said it couldn’t hurt, so I looked for a place in Denver for treatment and found Icelandic fitness. I’m so glad I did— I have never met more kind and empathetic individuals in my life. Truly. The ease and calm in the environment makes me want to be there. I really enjoy the infrared spa and the hyperbaric oxygen treatments. Jason is knowledgeable, skilled, and patient. He also demonstrates a strong ethic of care and is flexible about scheduling, which is very helpful to me
as I can’t always predict how I’ll feel on any given day. They’re attentive to everybody’s needs— from making sure I’m warm with a blanket in the oxygen chamber to answering questions about nutrition. I’ve seen Jason run to the store to pick up water and gum (to keep peoples’ ears comfortable while the chamber pressurizes) for clients who didn’t bring their own. As a neurobiology student, I appreciate that Jason has a background in biology as well. That puts me at ease and helps me trust his guidance. It’s been a little over a month. My energy is increasing slowly but steadily. I can’t say there are any quick fixes to what I’ve been experiencing, and this incremental approach to healing works for me. I work a high-paced 90-hour a week job where there’s no room for error. I feel like Icelandic Fitness is the one place I have permission to be imperfect, to express my needs, and to slow down.

Bus stops are close by and there’s plenty of parking.

Jason most definitely deserves 5 star. My son who is 10 had a concussion on Saturday (Football) He was discharged from ER with a concussion and sent home to rest. Having a bit of past knowledge of an HBOT chamber and the importance of restoring what’s been shifted.. I googled “HBOT” near me and icelandic fitness is only one of two that popped up the the Denver metro area. I reached out to see how I go about getting my son seen and within 30 minutes of contacting his office he was able to get us in that same morning (literally within 2 hours). My son went in pretty sore still from his hit. His headache was very much still present. Jason determined he should spend 60 minutes in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber. My son responded well, he was able to complete the session at the normal rate and length of time for his 1st session. Upon exiting the chamber he felt refreshed and very alert. His eyes alone allowed us to see a huge change in his appearance and alertness. The drive home he seemed to talk a lot as if he gained more energy then before going in. We will definitely be going in for a 2nd round within the next week and are eager to get him back to his normal self. Highly recommend hyperbaric oxygen therapy for concussion cases. Thank you Jason! Our family Appreciates you and the treatment you offer.

Jason is positive, knowledgeable and caring.

About 4 years ago I tore a couple ligaments in my ankle. I went a long time undiagnosed and ended up with myriad of imbalances, dysfunction and pain. Eventually I had surgery and subsequently worked with a PT and Jason before returning to sport.

Jason provided me with a base level of athletic training that I feel like I had somehow missed for years. He understands injury extremely well and can help integrate your specific limitations into his routine and eventually push you past them. He's certified in MAT and knows other kinds of body work and incorporates table work into the process. I'm now a stronger, more mobile and better athlete than I ever was before my injury and I couldn't have achieved this level of success without his help. He even gave my girlfriend (a professional dancer) a few sessions on the table free of charge!

His sessions are short, efficient and never disappointing. Highly recommended.

He mixes workouts up so it never gets boring and you are always challenging yourself in new ways. I am grateful that I found Jason and couldn't be happier. He is the best around and I would recommend him to anyone regardless of fitness level.

I started taking Pound classes with Sue White in May and can I just say "Wow"! The class and the atmosphere at the studio has totally rocked my world!! Not only have I lost multiple inches and pounds and tightened up EVERYTHING but my attitude has changed drastically. Pound class is truly a stress reliever as well as an amazing (best I've ever had) workout. Sue and all of her teachers are so motivating and encouraging that I challenge anyone to try a class and not feel absolutely amazing afterward. New Year, new you...give it a try!!!!

Jason was recommended to me when my previous trainer moved out of state. I'm pretty picky. I don't want to do a "set" and then rest, and then do another "set" of the same exercise and rest again. I want an efficient and effective total-body workout that I can knock out in a 30 minute session. I said this to Jason the first time I met him. And over two years later, I consider myself lucky to have found him.

He offers that perfect balance of challenging exercises and gentle encouragement that is unique and tough to find in a personal trainer. He provides creative exercises that work multiple muscle groups at once in a quick circuit. It is highly efficient and never redundant.

Whatever your fitness goals are - improving your golfing, cycling, skiing, running, or just being a healthier you - he's the best.

Jason is one of the most genuine people I know. As other reviewers have mentioned, he works with you without a hint of judgement or disappointment that you haven't fully succeeded yet. He understands that everything is a journey and he's there to assist you in any way he can.

He's one of my favorite people, too, and I am grateful to have him in my support network. I highly recommend him. If you are considering an investment in your health - hopefully you are by reading this review - you will call Jason and set up a consultation. You are worth it. He is a highly qualified professional. You won't be disappointed.

I have been working out with Jason twice a week for over a year with a small group, and I can't imagine managing a fitness routine within a busy work-week without him. His workouts are efficient (30-45 mins), intense, and varied. He comes to each workout with patient enthusiasm, and he takes personal interest in our successes and happiness -- both in and outside the gym. I would recommend Jason to anyone -- from those with specialized fitness or athletic goals, to those who just want to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. Jason gives wide-ranging and helpful advice and calmly energizes, motivates, and leads by example. I've grown markedly stronger over the year, and it's all-in-all a pleasure working out with Jason!

Being a long distance runner, I’m always striving to improve my performance in running races. In 2010, I ran a half marathon PR of 1:40:16 and I’ve been trying to sub 1:40 ever since. I never thought it would be so hard to take off 16 seconds from my finish time! So almost 4 years later and 10 half marathons later, I was targeting yet another race in Dec 2013. However, this time Jason started a new approach with my training.

He taught me new warm up stretches and muscle activation drills, as well as, a routine for stretches after training runs. Jason recognized that I needed to work on my running posture and running power. Every week we did a variety of workouts focusing on mastering hip extension movements, explosive power, and proper mechanics all resulting in more efficient and faster running. I started noticing how different my long training runs felt. Goal pace training miles and hills were getting so much stronger. My track speeds were the fastest ever.

Jason also devoted time coaching me on the mental side of running…and I needed a lot of help! All of his dedication to my goal resulted in a new PR of 1:38:35 after almost 4 years of trying. For me, as a 55 year old female, beating my record by almost 1 ½ minutes is a huge achievement. Training with Jason made the difference.

Now I’m looking forward to a great race at the Boston Marathon 2014!!

I’ve been working out with Jason several times a week for almost 4 years. Jason is a fantastic trainer and a really good guy. He knows how to be motivating without being pushy, and takes a sincere interest in my well being both in and out of the gym. I always leave my workouts feeling good physically but also emotionally because Jason knows how to build you up both ways. I’m in my mid 40s, when a lot of men start to let themselves go physically, but with Jason I’ve reversed that process and instead become healthier. I look forward to all my workouts with Jason because it’s always something different, he’s always challenging me and adding new exercises to keep it interesting and motivating. He’s an intelligent guy and fun to talk to as well. We talk about everything from sports to business to family and everything in between. He’s always very punctual and works with my schedule during the week if things come up. It’s clear Jason love’s what he does and he’s very good at it. You’d think he’d charge more for what he does, but his fees are very reasonable. You really can’t go wrong with Jason Stone.
