Its a nice gym, with nice equipment and friendly staff. However, we're not thrilled about some of the younger student-aged members who don't wipe down equipment and are sometimes loud and yell across the room to eachother. I've seen them spitting on the floor on a few occasions. Doesn't seem like anything is really enforced around... any of that. The sauna has been broken the last few days, and the locker rooms are what I would call mostly-clean.
Nothing particularly great to be honest. I also wish they were open later at night. It's a lot of money and I don't really feel we get any awesome value above the nice wallpaper. But I'll still continue my membership for now until something else pops up in town.

When this was Colorado Athletic Club before it shut down a year ago, I paid $93 a month. The pools were heated and saline and the men’s locker room had a steamroom, sauna, and a hot tub. Now the pool is chlorinated, they took the steam and sauna and hot tubs out of the locker rooms and threw them in a communal family space and somehow this is worth 3.5 times the price at $340 per month? (with an insane enrollment fee) Did not like the coed, community aspect of the sauna space, as a lot of people were talking and socializing and I think it is overall a huge downgrade for a ton more money.

Lacks all the amenities that the other locations have. The cafe is usually closed and has inconsistent hours. Their menu options have almost none of the food items the others include. I don’t see how it’s the most expensive one in Colorado lol

Yes, it’s the most expensive option in Boulder for a gym, and it’s worth every penny. Facilities are clean, staff is friendly, remembers you by name, so many classes and quality equipment, the place can’t be beat. Kudos to Dillon, for being friendly and making sure I was aware of all the options I had available at this facility as well as others. If you’re stuck in the Boulder bubble, maybe your butt hurt like a couple of these other reviews talking about the price, but if you’re working all along the front range like my wife and I and can hop into the Cherry Creek facility or the Westminster facility or the flatirons location, Lifetime Is the hands down best option in the front range. My wife recently tried the Spa at the flatirons location and absolutely loved it. Check it out, invest in yourself.

$100.00 for a day pass. Apparently this isn’t satire.

Gorgeous facilities, kind staff, great coaches. So thrilled this is here now! Can't wait to continue enjoying it. The parking is slightly annoying (across the street from entrance) but it's a great, cute club. I'm glad it isn't absolutely ginormous like some other Lifetimes are, it feels a bit more boutique that way!

We are so grateful to have joined lifetime this spring! Our primary reason for joining was the available childcare for our almost one year old- he loves it there and we love having a loving place to bring him where we know he'll be safe during our workouts. The cafe on site makes it possible for us to sneak in a few hours of work on days that we're not working out while our baby is cared for. The gym is spotless, the locker rooms are fantastic and we feel welcome every time we go!

I've been a member since day 1. The facility is immaculate with all the latest equipment, massage chairs, massage guns to use, steam bath, sauna, cold plunge, hot tub inside and outside, pool, and more. Classes are amazing and so are the trainers. Everybody knows your name and is super friendly. They also have events which is great for creating community. Memberships are on the high side, but worth every penny. Like with everything in life. You get what you pay for.

Asha A. encountered us by the pool and was extremely knowledgable about the samples of house electrolytes as well as very kind! It's her type of energy that brings in memberships and makes the company run well. Great establishment and great workers!

Absolutely awesome, I’ve been using lifetime facilities for almost a year now. Yes this location is a bit smaller but the proximity for living in Boulder can’t be beat. Yes it’s expensive, but your not paying that much to get a better pump or lift, your paying it for the spotless gym facilities, not over crowded, beautifully clean locker rooms, available towels, included workout classes or child care. It’s the amenities that make this place awesome.
And the people.
Chris, or Kristian, is awesome, we spoke once 3 weeks ago when he introduced himself to me. He is a trainer there and always welcomes me in and remembers my name. We never did a class or anything together, just one singular conversation. He even remembered my fiancées home country from that conversation. Today he met her and remembered where she was from. I feel it’s that personal connection you don’t get at other gyms. Really hope that Chris and the other trainers are well compensated so that I can continue to see him and others over the years as I workout here.

Great Facility and oversll experience. Of course gyms this side will have some kinks to work out but we been there at least 4 days a week for the first month and the equipment, classes, trainers, and community are great. I was hesitant about the membership rate but its totally worth it now that Ive seen what they offer.

Don’t waste your energy or money here. I doubt this place will survive… there isn’t much for options in the area but anything is better than this overpriced facility. Just be sure to read the conditions carefully and don’t expect everything to be as great as you envisioned.

Horrible cancellation policy. Overpriced membership and average experience. They did a great job with getting people excited for this facility but did an even better job letting them down after signing up. I don’t recommend this facility. New isn’t always better, it has its fair share of issues, they send weekly texts about problems with facilities and closures. Parking sucks, back to 24hr fitness where it cost me $99 year. In other words between membership fees and sign up this place was equivalent to ten years. What a joke

There are some real positives about this facility. The child care center is excellent. It is clean, sanitary, well staffed, and offers two and a half hours of care per child for members, which is generous. The gym equipment is all brand new, well maintained, and the coed sauna and cold plunge are a nice wellness feature.
That said, there are areas where the club falls short. There are no spin bikes available in the main cardio area. While there are high quality spin bikes in the spin studio, that space is reserved for classes, which limits access for general members. In a cycling-focused community like Boulder, this feels like a missed opportunity. When we raised the issue, we encountered confusion, inconsistent information, and a general lack of empowerment among staff to address the concern. One response was that Life Time is a publicly traded company and that policy changes are difficult to implement, which is not a satisfying answer to a basic equipment need.
We had a similar experience with the pool rules. Children under 12 are not allowed in any pools or hot tubs other than the splash pad, which is kept at a very low temperature. I'll also mention that the splash pad on its first day of operation had broken and malfunctioning equipment, and foam coming out of expansion joins around the entire area causing our kids to trip. Even when our young children were cold and wet after swim in the kids splash area
, they were not allowed to warm up in the hot tub. It is a rigid policy that feels disconnected from the needs of families trying to use the facility in a practical and safe way.
As a gym, it is a well equipped and high quality facility. But as a health club that actively markets itself to families, it may not be the best choice for families with children under 12 who expect to use the pool amenities. We attempted to share this feedback directly with management, but no one was available and there has been no follow up since.
We do appreciate that the membership policy allows members to pause once per calendar year. Because of that, we are considering keeping our membership but pausing it over the summer months, when outdoor pools are an option elsewhere and the club’s family policies make it difficult for us to enjoy the facility. This may remain a useful option for us in colder months, but not one we plan to use during warmer seasons.
