Update: Gym has much improved since I posted original review. Jungle gym has been moved out of the way leaving more floor space, and staff is always very friendly. Hate the monthly dues, but you get what you pay for.
The Stars Earned are for the staff, Very friendly and helpful. The stars LOST are for the actual facility. Joined this gym in 2016 and loved it. Spent 6 days out of the week using the weight area and resistance machines. I like to jump rope and once upon a time there was a nice area set aside where I could stretch and jump rope without being in anybody's way. Last summer there was a remodel and the gym lost a majority of it's appeal. Big jungle gym taking up a third of the gym was installed where group classes are held during the busiest times of the day. I'm not opposed to classes however I pay a membership fee just like every other member and would love some open area to jump and stretch without being in the walkway. Many machines that pre remodel were always used post remodel have dissapeared. The machines remaining have been squished into what was the stretching area. Mirrors have been covered )by machines or more equipment that are rarely used) which are very helpful for form when Lifting which I assume is why gyms have them installed in the first place. If management would take 10 minutes to observe the gym on a busy day they would see that there is a large area of the gym which is unused and a small area which has the majority of members squished in trying to use weights and machines. The ratio is way off. I like the people here which is why I keep my membership. Husband wants to cancel and find a gym that takes in mind the paying community as a whole. The only good thing about the remodel is the added squat racks. Bravo for that.

My family were member a few years ago. After reading the reviews and seeing the positive and negative reviews we are going to look elsewhere. For a personalized response to all reviews, i would suggest to not use a personalized style of ChatGPT. Reach out to the staff and they will help? I don’t think that people want to reach out to just staff but they want to really reach out to the managers. I will turn down the “ personalized staff” option and go somewhere else. Seeing the review about dropping their child off and having a staff member ignore their child while he cries uncontrollably is unthinkable. I’m good. I would gladly pay $900 instead of the $450 a month for my family, just for a piece a mind.

I had a manicure done. Everything went well, but when I went to the register to pay, the lady at the front desk openly asked me how much I was going to tip…out loud…in front of other customers. I thought this was SO tacky and classless. Please educate your staff on proper etiquette.

I have been a member for over five years, and the dues have consistently increased year after year. When I try to contact the General Manager, Brian Chuckran, regarding any issues, my dues increase further, and my inquiries are disregarded. I provided feedback about the Life Cafe beginning to request tips when I simply purchase a bottle of water. Instead of addressing this concern, I am informed that my monthly dues are increasing. The costs associated with the gym have risen substantially over the past two years, and there has been no noticeable improvement. Apart from increased compensation for gym staff, it appears that paying significantly more does not benefit the members.

We recently signed up for a family membership at Life Time. One of my biggest concerns before joining was the Kids Academy, so I made sure to take a tour and speak directly with the staff. During that conversation, I explained that my youngest daughter is on the spectrum, but she is fully capable of communicating her wants and needs. She’s in kindergarten and receives ABA therapy.
On her first day, I was called down to help her transition to a new area — which I completely understood. It was a new environment with new faces, and I expected there might be some initial adjustment. A few days later, I dropped her off again and was called because she had a small meltdown. When I arrived, she was calm, happy, and doing fine. Then was told she tried to go outside , and the alarm sounded. Clearly, she didn’t know that would happen if she was to go outside. It sounds to me like if she tried to go outside then she wasn’t being watched?
At the end of that visit, I spoke with Libby, who informed me that the Kids Academy “wasn’t a good fit” for my daughter and that my option’s would be to bring someone with me to supervise her — at my own expense — after they passed a background check. Or I could stay with her in there…?
I have to be honest — that makes absolutely no sense. I’m already paying for a family membership, which includes access to the Kids Academy. Expecting me to hire and pay another person just so my daughter can be in a space designed for children defeats the entire purpose.
If my daughter had been consistently disruptive or required ongoing one-on-one attention, I could understand the hesitation. But that’s not the case — she was given less than two days to adjust before being dismissed. Nowhere on Life Time’s website does it say that children with disabilities cannot be accommodated.
It’s extremely disappointing that, despite paying such a high membership fee and additional costs for amenities, our family is unable to use one of the core services we joined for. I’d like clarification on how this decision aligns with Life Time’s stated policies and commitment to inclusivity.

This is an amazing gym. The trainers are very knowledgeable and there's plenty of well maintained equipment. The classes, pool, staff and security are very good. My interactions with Brian Chuckran have been very productive. If you use the gym on a regular basis, it will be hard to find something better.

Decent enough facility and staff over all. A few stand out awesome staff members. Yoga instructors are a mix of experienced teachers and folks who maybe have never been to yoga class ever before. Plus, you have to walk through the free weight section to get to the yoga classroom. It makes zero sense, unless you like weight lifters watching you walk by in yoga clothes (plus yoga is done barefoot/in socks and closed toed shoes are technically required in the weightlifting area, so it’s odd to walk through in sandals). Kids academy staff are rockstars! Though it was annoying to both me and my kid that it didn’t seem to matter what we signed him up for, he just ended up wherever. Always had fun, just wasn’t always what we planned on. Aquatics was the absolute worst. Nearly all female lifeguards have their swimsuits pulled up their butt cracks, like thongs, which was a bit off putting/awkward/not family friendly… I reported to them when I noticed the lawnscaping crew standing at the fence and watching guests (including children)around the pool, they just shrugged it off. They never smile either. My kid would at hi and just get scowled at, so weird. The pool chair cushions look about a decade old and need replaced - they aren’t awful if they were someone’s personal chairs who was trying to make them last another summer, but they’re pretty rough for what’s supposed to be a nice gym. Food at the cafe was okay, but definitely not healthy. Very processed (cheap ground beef, white bread, etc) and mostly oversauced. Almost all the shower heads in the family locker room are broken and the room itself is kind of a nightmare; it’s always packed with people and rarely clean. We also took their offer to try 4 free weeks of lessons, decided it wasn’t really our thing and unenrolled from the particular class we were in. However, they continued to charge us and even said it was in some email that we would continue to be charged. I’m not sure how you’re supposed to stop the charges. I even quit our membership and was still charged. It wasn’t until I accused them of being “pretty scammy” with these charges (I have no way to cancel them) that they said they’d refund all the charges. I forget her name, but the dark haired front desk/new member staff was simply the best. If everyone was like her, we might have stayed members.

Over priced. They know what they have and definitely charge for it. The over sized tennis area could provide more room for cross training and extra equipment. A waste of space for anyone who doesn’t play tennis. Wide variety of amenities, but you’re basically paying for every amenity you don’t use like the tennis courts or child care if you don’t have children, extra prices for certain classes like their orange theory class or Pilates reformer. Class options and times are also limited for yoga or Pilates fusion (not an extra charge). Because of the limited gym options in the Springs, I only stay because I can afford it and the membership cap cuts down on overcrowding.

Rude front desk staff, almost always.
They reduced their hours and increased membership prices.
The rigamarole to bring in a guest is such a hassle. It’s so much easier at other places.
Usually crowded, and simply not worth the price. Recommend Vasa or Crunch Fitness instead.

Just wanted to give a special shoutout to Itzy for making our day special. I got married on the weekend of July 19th and one thing I wanted to do was have a basketball game with my friends and family who were flying in from out of town. I was worried (but also would've understood) that I wouldn't have been allowed to bring a lot of them in since they are not members of the gym, but Itzy welcomed us all with open arms and even provided us some complimentary waters. Needless to say, it left a great first impression on all of my friends and family and they have nothing but good things to say about the Lifetime Fitness here in Colorado Springs. I have been a member at this facility for roughly around 3 years now and overall it has consistently been a great experience.

Life Time isn’t just a gym; it’s a full-blown “athletic country club,” and it truly lives up to that label. From the moment you walk in, the difference is clear. The facilities are immaculate and expansive, featuring top-of-the-line strength and cardio equipment that’s so plentiful you rarely have to wait. The pristine indoor and outdoor pools feel more like a resort than a fitness center, and the locker rooms boast amenities like saunas and steam rooms that make every visit feel like a mini-retreat.
The variety of group fitness classes is outstanding, with energetic and professional instructors leading everything from serene yoga to intense HIIT sessions. For families, the Kids Academy is a game-changer. It’s a well-organized and engaging program that goes far beyond simple childcare, allowing parents to have a genuinely stress-free workout.
Of course, this premium experience comes with a premium price tag. The membership fee is a significant investment and its primary drawback when compared to traditional gyms. However, you're not just paying for access to equipment. You're paying for a comprehensive lifestyle destination. If you take full advantage of the diverse offerings—the pools, classes, high-end amenities, and kids' services—the value is undeniable. For those whose budget allows, Life Time offers a truly unparalleled fitness and wellness experience.

As a military spouse with a deployed husband, I’m incredibly disappointed by the experience I had at Lifetime. I work full time, have no local support system, and tonight was the only time I could hit the gym—after 8 PM. My almost 2-year-old was asleep in her stroller beside me while I worked out, not bothering anyone.
I was told by staff (Andrew) that I had to leave because childcare was closed. I’ve never had an issue on weekends, and this felt cold and unsupportive—especially given how hard it is to stay active and sane while solo parenting. I joined Lifetime hoping it would be a supportive space, but this experience has me questioning if my membership is even worth it anymore.

I visited Life Time Fitness and met with Summer.. She excels at, designing personalized workouts that are both challenging and enjoyable, Alway’s keeping individual goals and limitations in mind.
She is incredibly knowledgeable about proper form and injury prevention, which makes me feel confident and so safe during sessions.
Summer’s motivational and encouraging attitude is outstanding!
She explains exercise and concepts, clearly and concisely.
She inspires and motivates you to push yourself and celebrate your achievements.
She is easy to talk to, creating a comfortable and welcoming training environment.
I highly recommend Summer! She will change your life for the better.
Much gratitude towards her for helping me along this journey.

I love Lifetime Fitness and have been a member for about seven years. This rating is specifically for the hot tub situation.
I’m baffled by the decision to reduce the busiest Lifetime in the entire country to one hot tub and convert the other into a cold plunge that’s rarely used.
Today I came intending to relax in the hot tub, but there were 22 men (I counted) and one woman (who left) crammed into the only one available.
It’s uncomfortable and unhygienic.
VillaSport offers hot tubs in both men’s and women’s locker rooms. As well as co-ed options.
Lifetime could easily afford to build a dedicated cold plunge without taking away a core amenity.
With rates constantly increasing and management’s only response being “there are no plans,” it feels like paying more for less.

If you’re looking for that high end luxury gym that meets your resort needs through all seasons, then this is it! The kids academy is top notch first( as a mom that matters) it offers a spa, a lounge to work in if you’re like me and can work from your laptop any where. The food at the cafe is grade A and I don’t have to stand in line for equipment. I personally love having access to a wide range of classes on top of the open floor of cardio and weight equipment. During the summer the outdoor pool offers a vibe of a private beach to just its members. I love it here!

Good amenities, charges too much for membership, the classes are elite, the outdoor pool won’t open until end of May which makes no sense, LifeTime got rid of student membership which is sad, & I requested to talk to a Manager named Rob however they never got in touch with me.. so I assume I’m not valued as a patron. Additionally, a trainer- Summer was super rude and almost whipped me with some exercise ropes, instead of asking me if I could move to another barbell station. But other than those things and if you have money to waste - over okay gym.

*Editing this to show how their obvious disregard for these issues. If you look through the reviews you will see the that whoever is in charge of these conveniently ignores the difficult and real complaints. They will acknowledge positive reviews and bad ones with quick neat explaintions and just hope all the other stuff goes away. I've been in charge of monitoring reviews for a business of a similar size and I assure and complaint not being addressed is deliberate not a mistake. And if they somehow call it a mistake is that really better? That they would have such a huge blind spot about such a serious issue? I guess they don't expect you to think that hard.
I was only a member for about two months but the gym itself is fantastic, just about all the equipment and amenities you could want in a gym. What really made me choose this gym even at its price point was the child care option so that we could all go as a family and build a healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately the good times came to an abrupt end in just the second month. I just left the gym with my wife and toddler after cancelling our membership. Me and my wife head in to work out and drop the baby and his bag off in the daycare. Before we're even done with the warmup for the first exercise she realizes she needs to get something from the bag and heads back down to the daycare center only to find my son just standing by the door crying hysterically with snot and tears running down his face for minutes and the lady that should be looking after him is just simply ignoring him. No checking to see if he's hurt and what the issue is or anything. My wife just stood there to see how long it would go and after a few minutes another coworker comes in and ask her why she's ignoring the baby because even she felt it was out of line. We didn't argue or cause a scene. Just simply went to the front desk , cancelled our membership and left. Great gym if you don't need child care. If you have children that you'd like to be well taken care of then I'd advise you look elsewhere.

Incredibly rude coaches unless you are in one of the classes you have to pay extra for. If not, forget it, you are beneath them and might as well not even be there. And, if you have a disability, forget it, they treat you even worse. Stay far away and go to a different gym that appreciates everyone.
They also do not honor their promotions and have false advertising. For their winter 2024-2025 coffee deal, they had a sign that said ALL winter long free coffee and hot tea with a tumbler purchase. I even asked employees what that meant and was told through May. Well, that was not the case, this deal why actually only valid through February 28, 2025. Why would you not just put the exact date on the sign and not lie and deceive your customers.

Very expensive and very crowded. It’s just as crowded at 5 am as it is at 5 pm. 1/3 of the TV’s in the cardio area are advertisements for Lifetime’s expensive products. I find it annoying paying for a membership and still having ads in your face while trying to decompress from life.
EDIT: Why does a guest need to download the lifetime app and create an account? I just want to bring my friend to workout with me, lifetime does not need her information.
On another note, they shut the pool down Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 4-7 pm for the swim team.

A great setup for free weights. Even though 5 a.m. is just as packed as 5 p.m., there’s still plenty of equipment. However, the cleanliness is not great due to the traffic that came in the night before. Cardio equipment might be the down side. Everything is about 15 years old, so they are commonly down for maintenance. I used to report the issues to the front desk, but it became a daily occurrence so I just got tired of having to report the daily issues with treadmills and stair-steppers. I hope they are going to upgrade them soon.

I have been a member for over 3 years, this place used to be nice, it's always dirty, hair everywhere, the showers are filthy, the sinks are full of hair, spit, and an abundance of other things equally unpleasant. The sauna temperatures are inconsistent, and machines are usually dirty. They have a huge stretching area that is rarely used and it takes up most of the entry, they hold classes all over and it's hard to try to get from the stairs to the machines without weaving thru people working out. This has more YMCA vibes than a "Country Club" as they proclaim. They need to hire someone to oversee the cleaning dept.

I have worked out at small independent gyms, large nationwide gyms like LA Fitness, Planet Fitness and 24 HR Fitness, and multiple Lifetime locations (Houston, Chicago, Walnut Creek, Roseville, Folsom, South Jordan, Austin). All Lifetime locations offer excellent facilities when compared to other nationwide gyms. This location is no different. I certainly would strongly recommend.

They will tell you they value you, that they listen. They don’t.. I have posted multiple times on the app(which is what I was asked to do.) I received no contact back. They are quick to comment on google reviews as they are public. The gym in general is not terrible. It is over crowded but any gym is anymore. With Lt cos, if you go early morning you will run into several classes that the instructors have no regard for anyone in the gym. Mainly the alpha classes. The class will be in one area then go take over another. They will take a lot of weights or whatever else. Today alone they have moved to three different sections in the gym. While asking others to move for them. They care nothing about intruding into other workouts. The instructors (not all) are rude and look at you as dirt. The price is out of line for the quality of the gym and the cleanliness of the facility.

Was a member for 5 months in 2024. I quit bc too dirty, crowded, and expensive. All the lockers and showers are dirty with hair, and the machines are dusty, and don’t even get me started on how freaking gross the steam room is. On a positive note there are a variety of activities to choose from. One of the main reasons I joined was to use the pool this summer and I wanted to use my guest passes to invite friends but then they started charging $40 per pool guest, which is outrageous since you only get two guest passes month and so those are pretty much useless since they’re going to charge for them. I was already paying $180/mo for my single membership, which supposedly included two guest passes per month

Gets very crowded after 16:30. I joined for the tennis and from what I can remember the member fees weren’t this high back in 2014. It’s 180 for the Signature access. You download an app and you try and book court times based on availability. I haven’t been able to play all too much due to all the kids taking over and reserving courts for training right after school, which is ideally when people get off work. Unprofessional and a horrible value. Strongly do not recommend if you have kids ages 7-12. The child care is focused on younger children. Children under 13 are not allowed in the weight area. Unfortunately everything outside the weight area is closed or not open for children. I tried to play basketball with my son after he hated the childcare because he said it was only for babies. The smaller basketball hoop in the gymnasium was locked. I didn’t even know you could lock a basketball hoop…lifetime found a way. When I asked a worker to unlock the basketball hoop so that I could play with my son, they refused. Don’t waste your money. Villa is a better value with friendly and professional customer service.

As a frequent traveler, this Life Time is by far the best I have been to. The amenities are great, locker room and gym floor are clean, and dedicated indoor tennis and pickleball courts are amazing. Only request is to advertise if there is equipment for use for both pickleball and tennis provided by facility.

Paying $166 a month for just myself I think this is completely out of control pricing especially when the gym is insanely packed and overcrowded nowhere to park as well, there's no tanning beds, most of the water fountains are warm . Also I wonder is everybody paying as much as me or is there discounts out there are people getting military senior insurance coverage, silver shoes ,college or whatnot? I find it strange that all these people can afford 150/170 a month for the gym? This is a very expensive place it should be exclusive no assistance or charity.

I basically live here these days, and why wouldn’t you? It’s called LifeTime for a reason. Gym, fitness classes, cafe, spa, pools, hot tubs, saunas, steam room, basketball and tennis courts, rock climbing, cryotherapy and hydro massage beds, and more! Expensive membership, but you get what you pay for and it’s awesome. Plus, great community and people here

Been a member at Lifetime Colorado Springs for almost 2 years. Love the gym, childcare and outside pool. My ONLY complaint is the lack of accountability especially during school vacations for children on the weight floor. Constant groups blocking pathways, sitting on equipment just to use phones...I don't get much time to work out and it's frustrating to be inhibited during my little time I get.

I grew up in the Springs my whole life and used to go to Lifetime before I moved. I recently moved back and its really sad to see how much they hiked the already high prices and requiring a really high membership level. It's a really nice gym and I had no issue paying 75 for 1 person, 120 for 2. But 260 for 2 people when you only use the gym equipment and sometimes the pools is insane. They need to allow levels again. This is the only gym besides Villa on the North end of town and they're running many members away with the absurdly high prices.

I agree with everyone else that the quality and services are top notch. However be warned, during peek times, this place is packed. I mean that literally. It's like a nightclub. Other than like 4:00 a.m. in the morning, this place is heavy usage. I'm not sure how they keep selling memberships given how packed the place is.

Too crowded, they jacked the prices up this year to take advantage of those who want the "resort experience". But if you got a membership before last year you're paying $100 less for the same experience. They also started charging for the outdoor pool. Fine example of corporate greed.. I don't recommend going unless you enjoy waiting in line for machine.
Edit -
The price used to $89/adult, I paid $126, for my one adult and one child under 12. Now the price is $179/adult and $219 for one adult and one child.

Brian is probably the worst GM this gym has ever had. Over and over again I've seen employees mistreat customers with no repercussion. Just recently, a 'trainer' there by the name of James was confronted by a member. James has a reputation of speaking badly about members, and other Life Time employees have confirmed that to members themselves. Brian chose to handle this situation once again by terminating the customer's membership, instead of training the people under him how to treat members of the gym correctly. I assume this is because they pay their employees next to nothing (the employees are extremely verbal to members about this), and Brian fears he can't fill those positions if he needs to. I've been a member since 2011 and I'll say, this place has been trashed since Brian was hired. Great equipment though!
Edit: The company’s response is not true. Brian, who is the GM, approached me the next morning during my workout and requested we speak about this review - which I had left the day prior. I told him if he’d like to schedule a time with me, he could reach out to me by responding to one of the few emails I had sent him, all of which he still hasn’t responded to. He said he knew nothing of these emails, but I found it ironic he knew exactly who I was anyways. He is still free to schedule with me over email. Calling him - and then leaving a voicemail, has never worked. His boss however, Laura, is awesome. She’s much more friendly, less egotistical, and easier to get ahold of than Brian. I recommend reaching out to her if you have any inquiries.

I absolutely love this gym! Its very clean, there are plenty of machines available whenever I go, and the exercise classes are amazing. The instructors in the classes are motivating and really push you. Sure its pricey, but you get alot out of it if you use it several times a week - exercise classes, outdoor pool in the summer, hot tub, steam room, indoor pool in winter with swim lanes, etc.

Cancelled my membership and was still charged. I was charged $132 to my bank account after cancelling online. I know I finished the cancellation because it asked if I was sure and if I wanted to instead put a hold on my account. The staff at the gym is very nice but corporate is straight trash.
Also the gym is way to crowded to do any weightlifting seriously if you plan to workout between 4PM and 8PM. Expect to be waiting for everything whether it is free weights or machines. If you actually want a good workout, find a different gym. Or go at super odd hours like right when they open.
I suspect the fees are getting raised a lot to get more people to cancel and to thin out membership, but I'm not sure. There is no good reason to be paying this much to workout and use a sauna though. Just go to Flex Gym & Fitness and don't look back

If you are looking to lift at gym with a decent weight floor and the usual machines do not come to this gym. This location has become the local Highschool hangout and broccoli-haired TikTok creator's master studio.
Plan on spending at least twice the amount of time on a standard lift if you come here between 4:30pm and 11:00pm every month of the year, and even longer than that when college classes are not in session.
Consequently there is a constant disorganization of weights and an outrageous (and constantly increasing) cost.

It’s a luxury gym, so it’s a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Lifetime has plenty of free weights, squat racks, and machines, plus a laundry list of other amenities. The staff are super nice and encouraging, and the other members are usually pretty great as well. There’s even a cafe which makes incredible smoothies.
If you’ve been to another lifetime fitness, you should be aware of the fact that this location is one of the busiest in the nation. So be prepared to wait for the equipment you need.
Also, if any of the staff reads this review, please fix the men’s steam room! The room no longer produces steam on its own, so members are resorting to pouring water on the sensor.

My recent experience at Lifetime fitness Colorado Springs has been nothing short of appalling, and I feel compelled to share the disturbing incidents I encountered. The toxic atmosphere created by the management, particularly Jason Bowel, and their complete disregard for member privacy have left me deeply concerned and uncomfortable.
One of the most alarming aspects was witnessing Jason Bowel, who was clearly off duty and not in uniform, stalking gym members around the premises. Instead of respecting individuals' personal space, he seemed more interested in monitoring their every move. It is deeply unsettling to think that a staff member would engage in such invasive behavior while not on duty.
What's even more disconcerting is that Jason Bowel would then report these sightings to the rest of the staff. This kind of surveillance and communication about members' activities is not only highly unprofessional but also a gross violation of privacy. It creates an environment of distrust and unease, where patrons cannot feel safe or at peace while pursuing their fitness goals.
In addition to this distressing behavior, the overall management atmosphere at Lifetime fitness Colorado Springs is toxic. The fact that Jason Bowel's actions go unchecked suggests a lack of accountability and oversight. It is disheartening to see that the GM and other members of the management team have not taken steps to address these issues, further perpetuating an atmosphere of discomfort and mistrust.
Considering the aforementioned incidents and the general toxic management environment, I cannot recommend lifetime fitness Colorado Springs to anyone. It is crucial for a gym to prioritize member safety, privacy, and well-being. Unfortunately, the actions of Jason Bowel, both on and off duty, combined with the lack of appropriate response from the management, have created an environment that is far from conducive to a positive workout experience.
I strongly encourage prospective gym-goers to seek alternative establishments where their privacy is respected and where they can feel safe and supported in their fitness journeys. No one should have to endure the distress caused by the toxic management and invasive behavior exhibited at Lifetime fitness Colorado Springs.

Just terrible customer service.
In the beginning of May, I PERSONALLY came to the front desk to cancel my membership, so I could be sure that everything would be done in front of me. The guy on the front desk said that "all set" and my membership will be cancelled in a month. He didn't give me anything to sign. He just said that I would get an email about the cancellation. After that, I didn't come to LifeTime because I was moving to another state.
In April, they charged me again, which was expected.
But what was my surprise that I was charged in June again!
I called LifeTime, and they told me that nobody actually cancelled my membership and that I was supposed to sign something. But how could I know? Why do people on the front desk not know how to work, and why should I pay for their mistake?
So if you guys want to cancel membership, you probably just better write to them via email, so everything will be recorded, and if they mess up again, at least you will have a proof. I was naive to believe these people and think that they knew what they were doing. I will not go to this place again, and I don't recommend it to you if you still value your time and money.

It’s a very nice facility and the employees are very friendly. The membership price and how busy the club is what drives my average rating. Expect to either wait for equipment or deviate from your workout plans. Now, I mainly use the weight lifting equipment. The alpha classes consume the limited racks leaving only a few stations if you come when their classes are active. The cardio section is expansive and always seems to have openings. The pools are nice but good luck getting a lane. The monthly price has gone up dramatically but with the club being as busy as it is I have a hard time thinking it’s worth the cost.

Very nice facilities, nice equipment, and all very clean.
Here are the main gripes.
The weight room floors aren’t rubber and they can often be slippery when trying to get traction while lifting.
All the benches in the free weight area should be adjustable. They have gotten new adjustable benches but they are all very tall/wide for smaller lifters.
We live in Colorado Springs and the club has a beautiful view of the mountains, so naturally all of the cardio equipment faces a wall and not the giant windows.
There are constant advertisements at the gym. Both on tv’s and at the upstairs entrance with big displays. I’m not at the gym to buy a mattress.
Wifi is getting better but, it’s still not great.
The gym is often overcrowded and during peak hours you are guaranteed to have to wait for most equipment.
The machines are set up oddly. For instance, there are two quad machines next to each other and then another two rows of equipment away. Put like items with like items.
All that being said, I’m still a member, have been for a while, and I’m still planning on staying a member.

Great gym that has everything you need. However, the pricing is more and more out of the range of what it should be. With the newest increase in pricing, I will begin to look elsewhere even though I truly enjoy this gym. Operations and performance of the gym are exceptional. With the increase price in membership, there will not be a pay raise for the employees on the floor, nor will there be an increase in hiring or new amenities. Additionally, once you have become a member, it is incredibly difficult to cancel membership without an exorbitant amount of fees. Either the budgeting is subpar or the administration forecasts for increased profits without losing too many patrons/new memberships. This is not a gym that cares about their members or their employees. Lying about this price increase and how it will go toward creating a better work environment for employees in an effort to improve the experience for members is shameful. Can not believe I received a non-transparent and weightless email about a price increase.
I did not know how to respond without editing this posting. However, I will change this posting entirely to a positive one, with five star rating, if you want to provide a screened fiscal report that displays how the business is being negatively impacted by the economy. Does not even have to give specifics, so that the business is protected. Just a report showing the impact and the necessity of the increased pricing.
Or you could give me a job because the economy is straining my ability to afford your new monthly membership rates. An additional paycheck and benefits would go a long way in growing my buying power.

We’ve been members here a long time. I have to say we love this club, the workout area, the pool, everything is really nice. However they do not seem to care about their loyal members at all. They increased their monthly fees twice in one year, and both substantial! The first one we did not complain, but recently they went up another $30 per month! When I voiced my concern I was given a generic email response that was basically this is how it is. When I said ok then cancel my membership there was no attempt to come to a compromise or keep us as guests. They were like - Bye! So that’s that. We are done with Lifetime.

This gym is always clean and well-maintained. They offer a large variety of classes, as well as basketball courts, tennis courts and pickleball courts. The instructors for all the classes I’ve attended have all been top notch. They are friendly, will always chat with you after class if you want, and even try to remember your name! The locker rooms are amazing and provide plenty of amenities, from hair dryers to free body wash and shampoo in the showers. The front desk staff always smile and give you a friendly greeting when you enter and say goodbye and thank you for coming when you leave. They offer a cafe full of healthy food choices and freshly cooked food as well, often offer samples of their smoothies, and there is also a salon with quite a variety of services on offer. Now, those services are expensive mind you, but the fact that they are offered at all is noteworthy. This gym has everything, with one exception being there are no racquetball courts. You can upgrade your membership to get easy access to reserving tennis courts. There are often pickleball activities like Ladies Night and skills and dells classes as well. You’re going to pay more for this gym membership, but you get what you pay for!

EDIT: 9/7/22
Just got an email that my monthly dues are going up ANOTHER $20/month. What a joke. I’ll be canceling my membership tomorrow. I understand inflation is crazy but it’s not flipping 20%. Just another joke of a justification to rob members.
If you like to hear their Alpha instructors yell over your own music playing in your headphones during your entire workout, Lifetime may be just for you. They used to keep the ridiculously loud music and group class stuff to the studios, but more recently they’ve spilled out into the general fitness areas to make sure everyone else’s workouts are affected. I sent a message through the app regarding the excessive noise of the alpha classes, but of course it went unanswered. Not like I’d expect them to listen to a member and a suggestion, anyways.
I’ve been a member of lifetime going on 20 years (with a lapse in there while I was away at college), but they have slowly catered more and more to the group stuff over the years since it’s extra money for them. Rates have gone up every single year I’ve been a member. Growing up, my dad had a gym membership and he was actually rewarded for being such a long term member by… get ready for it… LOWER DUES. I know that’s a foreign concept and nothing ever gets cheaper anymore, but lifetime doesn’t do anything but raise rates year after year, regardless if you’ve been a member for 2 months or 10 years. You would think places with monthly dues would try to incentivize you to remain a member, but lifetime just crams higher dues down your throat every year. And save the textbook corporate response about raising rates “to provide a better a experience,” because clearly that isn’t what my experience has been. There are always a handful of machines (of the few they actually have) that are always broken and unable to be used.
