Both our kiddos attend Mountain Kids and love it! We participate in Rainbow Riders (PK) and I love that the instructors teach the kids correct posture, position, and vocabulary as well as get their energy out - it's not just organized chaos. In my older kid's ballet/tap combo class she stays moving and engaged, and the class moves at a clip that keeps her entertained, even as a kid who probably won't dance her whole life. It's a super welcoming environment and the staff seem really interested in developing kids while they have fun.

Our daughter (4 years old) has absolutely BLOSSOMED since starting Rainbow Riders with Brion. He's a fantastic instructor and the class is ideally designed for kiddos of all abilities, personalities, and movement interests. We highly recommend it!

We have been dancing with MCDA since 2018 and been part of their in-house invitation only dance company. Both girls love and adore their dance teachers. The staff is amazing -- they are always smiling and accommodating. The program is non-competitive dance offring variety of technique classes and focuses on positive learning experience through dance. My girls have become more confident, independent and art lover since joining MCDA. They want to take every technique class that is being offered at the facility. MCDA is a second family for us and we couldn't be happier!

We first knew of MCDA when they visited us at our daycare and had gymnastic sessions with Brion. My kid was hooked, so we signed up for Ballet/Tap and Gymnastics. I love the open environment, and a way for the parents and grandparents to sit and watch. Its the best part of our Saturday's.

Our two daughters have been loving MCDA dance and gymnastics programming for many years! As a professional fitness instructor/ dance instructor myself, I looked into every dance program in Boulder County because I wanted to find a very emotionally and physically safe space for my kids. We continue to choose MCDA year after year because they create such an encouraging, safe, welcoming environment. Our kids feel seen, heard and loved for who they are. The instructors and staff are incredibly talented and teach technique beautifully while keeping the environment very loving for each dancer. Thank you MCDA!

Poor treatment of their staff and kids. This pandemic affected everyone but there's no excuse why they didn't bother telling half the staff they weren't coming back. Convenient the owner and her sister have plenty of classes themselves. This behavior is unprofessional and uncaring in a time we need to be taking care of each other and especially our kids.

Updating my review. I’ve spoken to two teachers now over the past month who were never told they weren’t invited back and teach! No goodbyes for the kids and students are heartbroken. What were you thinking? I know the pandemic has people out of sorts but I thought Mountain Kids treated people better. Apparently not. We will be taking our business elsewhere. Shame on you MCDA.

Below was my previous 5 star review posted after their December show. I know for a fact the kids don’t enjoy the summer hip hop classes. Their prior teacher by far had the best dances in the show!

Their adult and upper level hip hop performances are so good. Hard to find the community and quality in this area especially parents with hip hop lovers!

I've been dancing at MCDA for about 6 years now, and before that I was in the gymnastics program for 5. I love everything about MCDA. I've been in the company, MADE, for 5 years, and it brings so much joy to my life. MCDA is built on community and self expression. The teachers have so much love, care, and respect for their students. They feel like our friends. They all want what's best for the students, and they want to make sure we stay safe. MCDA wouldn't be the same without them. The students are all kind as well. I've made so many new friends in the years I've danced here. MCDA has shaped me in such a positive way and has made me the person I am today.

My daughter has been a student at MCDA for two years. She loves dance, and she couldn't be happier with MCDA, the instructors and the MADE program. I am grateful that she is learning a variety of dance styles in a body-and-mind-positive atmosphere, vs. the body image issues and competitiveness that can be present in other dance schools. The faculty at MCDA is amazing--real professionals who know their stuff inside and out. The classes offer essential foundational technique and a lot of fun and hard work at the same time. The kids are learning to be disciplined, responsible and healthy dancers and people.

My daughter has been gleefully attending Mountain Kids for three years. It is such a wonderful place to send a child. The teachers are warm and friendly, the place has such a great community vibe and the managers are on top of it. My child is in contemporary dance this year and absolutely loves it. She comes home showing me a different position each week. The classes are small enough that she gets attention and the moves they learn are fun and challenging. Her teacher is CHARMING. I highly recommend Mountain Kids for both boys and girls.

Our daughter has loved dance at Mountain Kids. Her teachers are outgoing, caring, and knowledgeable. They have instilled a passion for dance in her. She has developed greater skill as a dancer and developed many friendships at Mountain Kids. As a mom I also appreciate that our younger son has been able to participate in gymnastics while our daughter dances. My daughter has been dancing at MCDA for a couple of years. The teachers are amazing and talented. They all have so much passion for dance and children. I really love their whole approach and philosophy. They are focused on the enjoyment of dance and feeling the music, which makes it fun for the kids. They have spring and winter recital that are very affordable. The recitals are also delightful to watch; I've been to 2 years worth and it's fun to see all the dancers grow in age and ability with each performance. I've seen my own daughter blossom with confidence from dance at Mountain Kids. It's a place she loves to go and a place I love to take her.

All of the instructors are talented and easy going. They truly care about the kids and keep it low pressure and fun. The recitals at year end are always fantastic!!! My kids love everything this studio offers, from Kids Night Out to their Birthday Parties! The Owner also takes pride in giving back to the local community amongst other charity endeavors throughout the year!

My 3 year old daughter participated in Storytime Ballet and Tap at MCDA and LOVED it. She looked forward to going to class every week. The teachers were very patient and taught ballet skills while also having fun doing creative movement. We're looking forward to trying the Combo class in the fall!

Both of my daughters (now ages 10 and 14) have participated in this program and enjoyed it. The teachers are artistic, kind and thoughtful in their choreography, which results in recitals and performances that are enjoyable for the kids and lovely to watch. My daughters also have both participated in the dance company called M.A.D.E. and the commitment and intensity were the right fit for our family. The staff at Mountain Kids is a joy to work with as a parent.
