I normally don’t leave reviews, especially negative ones, but this β€œcompetitive” basketball league was such a disappointment that I feel other parents should be aware.
We signed our 13-year-old up and were excited for player evaluations. After evaluations, it became obvious they didn’t have enough playersβ€”our son was placed on a team with the only other six kids who showed up. Instead of forming actual competitive teams, they lumped together whoever they had and called it a β€œcompetitive league,” even though players ranged from 6th to 8th grade.
After just two practices, our kids played their first games against teams that actually looked like competitive league teams. To make matters worse, when our boys arrived for the first game, there was no coach. My husband had to jump in and coach. When he asked afterward why no one communicated that the team didn’t have a coach, the response we got was unbelievable: β€œSomeone who works here helps at practice, but they ref games on the weekends so they can’t coach.”
So they knowingly had an employee β€œcoaching” practices but had no plan for an actual game coach, and never bothered to tell parents. Had they communicated anything, we immediately would have signed up to coach. Instead, they shrugged it off.
This program is absolutely not run like a competitive league. It operates like a poorly organized rec program with zero management, zero communication, and zero professionalism. They take your money, but they don’t provide the structure or quality they advertise.
This company seriously needs to choose a direction and build a program that actually supports players. Until then, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Wake up me here to watch our son play in a men's basketball league on Sunday's. They have quite a few basketball courts in here what's different levels of play happening. There's a food place on site with a little snack bar also. They have restrooms and also outdoor basketball hoops to shoot around. It's definitely a clean place and seems to be run well. Some of the men's basketball games get a little out of hand with poor attitudes and I would love to see that taken care of and/or have those groups removed. Besides that I enjoy watching basketball games here.

Courts were nice, but areas to congregate were small. They don’t allow outside food but don’t provide healthy options at their concessions. So teams had to set up tables outside in the freezing cold.

We were here for a volleyball tournament and it was very nice. The courts are easy to find, the scorboards work great and it's clean. They are strict and do not allow chairs or outside food or drink, but they have a lot of seats at the courts, and they do have a concessions stand. The down side, the area where you have to wait in between games and where the teams hang out is small and hard to get around during a tournament. Also, they have concessions, but the choices are pretty much drinks, candy, and chips. We were there for 8 hours and needed something of substance. We had brought our food but had to eat it in the car. Even with those downsides, we would not be sad if we played at this location in the future.

The "camps" are a waste of time and money. The kids learn no "skills." It is expensive daycare. We have done many of them and the quality keeps getting worse. We voiced our issues with management and they did not care. We will not be coming back.

Went here for a volleyball tournament last year (2024) and it was jam packed and freezing. This year for the same tournament, they had less teams playing at once, which was helpful but again - it was ABSOLUTELY FREEZING. It was the coldest weekend both years (in the negatives) and they would not turn on the heat at all. The fans basically blew cold air around. Our girls were shivering on the sidelines during plays and they handed out free handwarmers at the front, which didn't do anything. For how much money we spend on tournaments here, and not being able to bring our own food in and purchasing whatever is at the concessions, you'd think they'd atleast turn the heat on for a little bit. The hallway door also had no weather stripping between the doors, so cold air was blowing through the hallway. The first day was actually relatively warm in the morning, and then they propped the back door open to shovel at one point, which basically dropped the temp like 10+ degrees and then it never got warm again. Definitely hope to not have to play here again next year if our kids are going to be shivering on the court the whole weekend. Also, there is zero storage for teams - so while there are several couches and tables/chairs, the team bags end up everywhere and no one can actually sit down alot of the time. At one point, a team had all their bags piled on a couch, so no one could sit there. While that's on the team -again, there is no where for bags to go. Alot of gyms have cubbies/racks for team bags. Seems like a giant waste of space when you can't really use the seating for actually sitting.

It seems like they are trying to put 10 pounds of stuff into a 5 pound bag. There's so much going on that people are shoulder to shoulder, and that's walking into the building from the way too small parking lot. Once inside, it really gets crazy. Super crowded and hardly any seating. Try not to do it all at once? I don't know, but the crowd and delays are very frustrating.

I'm not someone who normally leaves reviews but I feel that our experience is worth letting others know. We reserved a court for our granddaughter to practice volleyball while she was visiting. We arrived for our 8am court reservation about 5 minutes before which was for 1 hour. There was no staff at the front and she did not arrive until after 8am. There was no court set up (i.e. the net was not down and no balls available). It was finally set up ready to go at 8:07. At 9:03 they started to lift the net which meant our time was expired. I know this may sound petty but my point is that our full hour was not over yet. The rate for the hour was $30 so I might add it's on the expensive end. We were able to speak to the manager who was playing basketball upon our arrival. He did not seem concerned with the late arrival of his staff member or the fact that the court was not set up and ready to go. If the facility was run properly, the court should have been set up the night before. There was no organization to it because the court that we reserved was not the one we actually used. It was obvious that the primary focus was for the people who came to play pickleballl that morning. Very doubtful we will patronize this facility in the future. Hopefully, better management could be pursued based on other peoples' eexperiences reviews. It's sad and disappointing.

They are absolutely horrible at planning tournaments. The futsol tournament has refs that could care less what was going on and they don't check age groups. Soccer teams were punching other soccer teams and the ref on court 3 just let it happen. Definitely not the way to encourage kids to love sports.

Source: Google

Nick Mask

β˜… 2

Their in-house leagues desperately need age verification. Grade-level basketball is a joke, and players are clearly playing down. I feel sorry for the kids. Overheard in 3rd grade basketball: "Hey, at least we aren't playing 16-year-olds this week."

Used to have a Ziggi's coffee inside, which was nice, but that has been replaced by high schoolers tending burnt coffee pots.

It's a shame, could be a nice facility.

You either need to enforce the rules for everyone or no one. Some teams were able to bring in food and coolers and spread it all over the tables. While other people were turned away who had outside food. Makes no sense to allow some and not others. The rules on the website specifically say no coolers, no outside food.

Pros are: Refs are decent. I've had way worse reffing and much better. Overall, they do a good job. I'm sure they would take it more seriously if they got paid serious wages (this is what I've overheard directly from the referees).
Lobby has a TV for sports viewing as well as a snack bar. If you get the right Staff member, they will make you some coffee too.
Courts are very clean. They seem to be cleaned quite often. I've seen them mop it at least every other game.
Staff members are generally helpful and friendly. Staff are also easy to find and accessible.

Cons are: If in a basketball league, the scoreboard table is very hit and miss. Issues when the score is not inputed properly due to distraction or incompetence. I'm not sure if this is a training issue, but this makes players extremely frustrated and thinking they need to intervene. Causing a slew of issues with refs and other players.
Men's bathrooms are dirty. Looks like upkeep is lacking on that front.
On a couple of occasions, a game is rescheduled an hour or 2 before tip-off. When trying to coordinate a whole team, this is an unacceptable and unrealistic expectation. If a game schedule needs to change, call the team manager. Don't expect them to see an email or check the schedule when some of us drive an hour to play. I've only observed this happen a couple of times, but those teams had guys quit. Not wanting to deal with it after paying team dues.

Overall: Good experience. Simple fixes and changes can improve the environment, making this an excellent location for sports.
I've been going to NoCo for more than 2 years, playing Men's League basketball.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My son has played a few monthly seasons there and done several camps. This place is perhaps the most unorganized place I’ve ever dealt with. Half of the time when we show up for small group camp they are surprised to see us and don’t know who’s teaching the camp, good luck getting someone to answer the phone the first try. Went there today to try out open gym called several times first finally got answer and was told there was open gym so my son and I went and two of the courts had kids teams practicing and the β€œopen court” had a adult full court game going on, I paid 11.00 for 18 minutes of basketball that we snuck in on one of the courts the kids team was using. When I asked the girl at the front she said well it’s open court so people can do whatever they want, ridiculous. 11 bucks no biggie but my son was very disappointed I’ll take my business elsewhere.

It's all about the money with this league. If you are not part of a big club team, dont bother. The refs also play favorites. The refs will give the ball to the wrong team when its a jump ball call. The refs should know who the ball goes to. Parents try to get the refs attention to let them know and they threatened to remove them. Management also sucks. When complaints about the refs were put in their response was " your team shouldn't play here then."
Word has spread around the basketball community on how bad this facility is and I seen with my own eyes it is true. All I can say is we will be happy to move to the Longmont league.

NOCO Sports Center is an awesome facility with a staff that ACTUALLY cares about the people that are there. I had a misunderstanding in a mens league and voiced my concerns to the league...not even a day after they called and attempted to talk about the situation after I had been over it. They tirelessly tried to help get to the bottom of the situation and even sent a follow up email after the call making sure things were handled. I ended up realizing what had happened and not having to speak with them, but there efforts in trying to fix the situation was second to none. If you want a GREAT sports complex with a GREAT staff of people, choose NOCO Sports center...they go further than the business!! They care about everyone in there!!

We drive here for my son's games. The facility is created well- courts on two sides and a lounge/snack area in the middle. Every time we go, the place is packed.
Our only disappointment is that on top of paying for our kid's fee for playing in the league the parents must pay $8 admission per person every single time. That is just plain greediness. I have never been to any other elementary/middle school basketball league where they made us pay for watching our kids. 6 courts have games simultaneously with two bleachers. The place is by no means at the level that could charge admission fees.

Truly the most poorly run sports organization I have ever experienced. I have been a coach for 9 years and played college basketball myself and I have never experienced worse referees or staff. The referees are instructed to keep the games moving at the expense of the safety of the players and the fairness of the game. To many of the families I have spoken to (from my teams and opposing teams) it feels as if this organization is more interested in collecting money than creating a safe and enjoyable environment for kids. I would not recommend this facility or their programs to anyone who values the safety of their child or children around them. If I could give zero stars, I would.

There should be a family/group rate and senior citizen discounts. The $8 per person charge is steep!!

I am glad that there is a facility to allow kids to play sports. With that being said, it is very frustrating to know that almost every game will have poor officiating and several mistakes at the scorers tables. This past weekend, in two separate games the score was put on the wrong team and never corrected which should absolutely be caught when the book is reconciled. Many times it doesn’t seem like the person at the scorers table know the rules when it comes to clock management.

Fortunately we have played our last basketball tournament at power to play this past weekend! The competition was horrible if it were not for the referees there would have been big blow outs. But somehow referees kept certain teams in the game!

This facility has 0 Diversity within the staff, teams, and referees! We were the only inner city team there. The owner of the facility Mike, showed his true colors once again and made me realize there is something definitely not quite right in Windsor! We had a parent thrown out for a third time for questioning the referee. Not once did he curse or yell at the referees. These referees and Mike are too sentimental and get into their feelings way too much. If you don't believe me just go look at the 10 pages of rules and regulations pertaining to conduct .would not recommend this facility to anybody. The only reason why I gave it a single star Is that is the only way I could leave a review. So mike must be hovering over the person who responded or he wrote it himself. He was there because Mike the owner/ hall monitor felt like he needed to jump in and referee drip nations last game. Didnt think I recognized you mike? Your a clown. Further more notice how mike didnt respond to the fact that their is no diversity at power to play ? Your up mike!

Nice facility. But it really bothers me that I have to pay twice to allow my kid to play here. Teams pay to play in these tournaments, and then parents have to pay to watch. I would think that having a captive audience would generate more than enough income through the concession stand to avoid having to charge spectators for admission. None of the other facilities where our teams play have a spectator admission fee. This seems like price gouging. At minimum, charge less admission. Charging $8 to watch a 40 minute game seems excessive. How about $3?

I'm grateful to be able to coach during the pandemic following all the safety recommendations. Great facility with committed staff to provide the community a clean and affordable place to improve skills, play for fun or competitive tournaments.

Great facility, clean, well kept but employees wearing politically charged masks just ruined it. It’s youth sports leave politics out of it.

Response to the owner - it was a referee. Politics are being drug into everything, no matter what your beliefs are the last place they belong is in youth sports. You have a great place and the staff are friendly and great to work with. I even chatted with the Ref in question for a minute after the game and he seemed to be a nice guy. I’d love to give your place a 5 star rating just tell me you’ve asked the staff not to bring politics on the court.

They're charging 20 dollars during a pandemic to watch our kids play online. We paid and got a receipt notification. Bank account charged. We go to try and watch and their horrible website doesn't even work. It says we didn't pay and have no access. What a way to rob people of their money during a pandemic p2p sports. Classy.

Edit cause I got a reply. We looked over your poor website for a phone number for 30 minutes and found one phone number...which unsurprisingly nobody picked up when called. You want customers to call for assistance? Maybe pick up the phone.
