I've been coming to OTA for about a year now, and I can’t thank them enough for my progress and continued growth. If you’re looking for a gym that builds custom programs based on your personal goals, look no further.

Having dealt with multiple injuries from years of competitive sports, it’s been hard to find a program that truly takes those into account. OTA not only tailors workouts to your comfort level but also focuses on strengthening those areas to help prevent future injuries.

I joined OTA 2 years ago and have been in and out of the gym with multiple shoulder surgery recoveries. The coaches have been incredibly patient with me every time in getting plugged back in. They pushed me just enough to feel like I was working hard, while not overdoing it so I could enjoy the process and not fight past pain. I've tried several different "Big Box" gyms in Arvada/Denver and none of them have provided the sense of community like OTA has. The OTA team has provided me with better programming and a more simplistic way to meet my fitness goals. At prior gyms, I've always felt like the more classes I did the better the fitness results, which led me to plateau in my weight loss. Colby has shown me another way which allows me to enjoy my time in the gym but also enjoy other activities outside of the gym. Couldn't be happier with the results I've seen in the first month. I also look forward to how the team will help me sustain my fitness goals in the future, which is something I feel a lot of gyms lack.

The best shape I have ever been in and I am just talking from a functional life standpoint. Old knee and back pain went away. OTA trainers or very sensitive to all of this and work alternative muscles to correct for the pain. I recently had a bad accident and ankle surgery. While I am out of the gym for a while, the strength I had not only helped me in the 20' MTB fall but is also helping a great deal with recovery. Even the pain in the ass of crutching all around the world and up/down multiple flights of stairs. I cant image if this had happened to me a year ago.

Almost six months in on going to OTA and have never felt stronger. I started after a bad knee injury where I lost most of my muscle on my left leg. OTA has been integral in my path of getting back my strength and balance while also being cautious and attentive to my injury. As a 55-year-old woman, I was initially nervous about joining a gym. I worried I’d feel out of place or intimidated, but I’ve felt completely welcome. I cannot praise Rob’s coaching highly enough. It has made a huge difference for me. I’ve had an old knee injury that I’d been favoring for years, but with his help and targeted strength work, that knee now feels more stable than it has since I was in my 20s. I didn’t think that was possible. Every session is thoughtful and focused, and I can feel myself getting stronger every week.

I’ve been coming to OTA since November 2023 and from my initial meeting with Colby, I’ve always felt seen, supported and motivated in a way that no other gym has offered. All of the coaches have a fantastic way of understanding where you are physically and where you are trying to go, which is different for everyone.

I will never be able to thank OTA enough for how attentive they were during my pregnancy and postpartum period. The coaches, particularly Shannon, took the time to understand my changing needs and always made me feel safe and strong, never limited. After my baby was born, I was counting down the days for the a-ok to get back to exercise and they helped me ease back into it with the same level of care and support.

The overall community at OTA is also a perk I never considered when joining - kind, strong and fun people to spend your workout time with. It always feels welcoming and supportive.

I've been coming to this gym for nearly two years now. I have never been a real avid gym-lover and have always been a bit intimidated by the fitness space. But there's definitely a reason I've been able to stick with it at OTA. I really can't say enough great things about this place. The space is perfect for small classes, which is ideal for me. The equipment, the people, the trainers.. this gym is amazing! I started classes to help strengthen my knees after multiple injuries and after only a few weeks I noticed a huge improvement. My knee has honestly never felt stronger. The workouts are tailored to you and your goals and the coaches do a great job helping you through the movements.

The entire team has even been so caring towards my personal life. When my cat passed away and I missed a few classes several folks reached out to make sure I was okay, and I even got a super sweet card from the owner.

OTA is the best! When I came for my initial consult ~7 months ago, I was experiencing chronic stress and had a goal of re-prioritizing my health. I was initially impressed with it's concept (personalized programming with coaching support in a small class setting) and its ethos - so I signed up for a membership on the spot. My health and happiness has significantly improved since then, with so much thanks to OTA! 🙏

The gym’s culture is positive, fun and encouraging; it has knowledgeable, elite (but not pretentious!) coaches, and kind, supportive ownership. My tailored programming is thoughtfully-prepared and evolving, so I’m (usually) excited to workout. I really couldn't be happier with a gym!

This little gem changed my life. I've struggled with fitness for a long time and working with Colby and Rob has been so amazing. Not only do they care about each person as individuals, they looked at all aspects of my life that impacted my health and supported me with all of it. They cultivate inclusive community that challenges and supports my goals, which drives me to keep going. Rob is fantastic and knows when to push and when to encourage rest and grace. When I tore my MCL, he ensured I always had modifications and that I listened to my body instead of pushing through and making the injury worse. He also paid attention to the songs that fired people up and played them when we needed it (and we all had different songs so it felt special.) The fact that I get to support a local dream while they 100% supported my movement dreams just makes this place magic. Put simply, Olde Town Athlete (OTA) is great! I started at OTA over a year ago with the goal of gaining strength and finding a routine that worked for me, having had difficulty with long-term consistency and weightlifting technique in the past. Since starting, I'm the fittest I've been in 10 years. I especially enjoy the approachable attitude and atmosphere. With reserved times in the gym, there are never any crowds (no waiting for the clean and well-functioning equipment!) which is great for keeping workouts consistent when life gets busy. The coaches care sincerely about your individual goals and the best way to achieve them in the long-term, especially teaching you about what will work and what will not. I joined OTA around six months ago and have seen great results all across the board. My exercise program has kept me challenged and engaged, it's been really cool to witness my progress in terms of strength and body composition in such a relatively short period of time. A very unique “gym” experience that has far surpassed my initial expectations. Simply put, this is a place that cares about you as an individual! They tailor your needs into a specific program designed specifically for YOU. This is not an “everybody does the same thing in class” type of place. If thats your jam, you know where else to look (CF, OT, etc.) Classes are 6 max (with the average probably around 4-5). A coach will write your program before class and a coach will guide / train you during class. Wonderful place! Life changing.

I LOVE this gym! I have joined alot of gyms and had several personal trainers over the years, and none of them felt quite like the right fit.
The format at OTA is great- you have an assigned coach who gets to know you as a person and programs your workout through an interactive app, so each workout is tailored and customized to you. Then you sign up for small (not more than 6 ppl) workout classes where 1-2 coaches (who are ridiculously knowledgeable and are genuinely invested in you succeeding) are present to explain new exercises, correct your form anything you may need to have a successful workout.

The community at the gym (the gym staff and other gym goers) is super friendly and encouraging. I was really surprised when I first joined how not intimating the coaches and other gym goers are, everyone is just super nice and authentically good people (and so much FUN! It's so easy to stay on track at OTA because I look forward to coming to class). The staff is responsive and accessible; they really work with you if life happens and you need to change your membership or change your programming. You aren't just a bar code or a 'sale' to them.

Since joining in March, I feel stronger, I feel healthier, I feel more balanced in other areas of my life, and working out has become a normal part of my schedule because it's so much fun and I see progression. I really can't say enough good things about OTA!

For more than 30 years, I've seen what failure and success look like from a training / coaching perspective. I've been going to OTA for the past year or so and its really helped me with my personal fitness and injury prevention goals. When I was younger, I torn each of my ACLs playing soccer and the coaches at OTA have helped me to focus on my core strength so that I can continue to be active and play recreational soccer. The small group style workout is great for me because I like having my workouts preplanned with incremental progressions but I don't feel like I need the dedicated attention of a 1:1 personal trainer.

OTA has significantly changed my life and I have only been there for just over 12 weeks. I wanted to get strong both mentally and physically after having two kids and not working on myself for years. OTA works with you right where you’re at and the coaches walk beside you each step of the way.

I’m in the small group personal training which limits the number of people in the gym to 6 at a time with a coach, this option is great financially and the time slots they have are great ranging from 5:30am - 6:00pm!

I couldn’t be more thankful to OTA! There is truly no place I’d rather be at 5:30 in the morning than OTA!

Colby and his team are phenomenal. The environment Colby has created is very positive and encouraging. I’ve learned so much over the last 6 months. The way Colby programs my workouts just make sense. I had a small injury and was suffering from extreme fatigue for a short period. Colby switched up my program to help assist with these issues. I have never felt more alive, strong and invigorated!
I love the small class size, I get to do my own thing but still get individual attention. I usually take classes with Dillon. He’s the bomb :-) it is pricey however worth the investment in yourself.

There is a difference between working out and training for a specific goal (even if that goal is “just” being a healthy mom In her 40s who wants to be stronger!). If you’re ready to start training, come to OTA! The team will create a program that will help you meet your goals, whatever they are. Say so long to scattered, random, workouts that have little direction and hello to programming specific for you!

Rob Kirby does my programming every 6 weeks and does an amazing job! I started with OTA back in early 2022.
Originally I signed up to get in shape for a my first set of jiu jitsu competitions. They set me up with a specialized program designed to help build muscle and increase flexibility. They helped pinpoint problem areas with my form and muscle groups that needed more focus. I ended up getting silver and bronze in the separate competitions. I decided to continue training at OTA because of the environment, community, coaching and how much I am learning about proper technique . 10/10!

Of course, I watched the scale lower, but there were more important questions on Colby’s mind like - How was fitness and movement going to fit into my life? How was I going to get past the initial motivation and make it a habit to be strong and lean?

After 4 months of consistency, I feel confident that I can walk into a weight room and lift safely. My daily movements are free and flowing. I am more flexible, stronger and yes, weigh less. I recommend OTA to anyone who might not know where to start, anyone who needs a boost to get going again or anyone who has goals they want to meet.

I have been working out with Colby at OTA right at a year. I love his personalised approach and attention to detail regarding where I am in my fitness journey and what my needs are. The workouts are challenging but not pushing me to the point of injury. Definitely an approach that can be maintained over the long term. The gym is also brand new with high-end, clean equipment. Highly recommend for those that want a personal trainer experience at a fraction of the cost.

In Dec. 2019 I was in a catastrophic car crash that caused me to need multiple medical procedures/surgeries as well as PT several days a week for nearly two years. This place is the best , As a first timer to a gym and going though some life changes, OTA stood by me and helped me immensely on getting on a right path for life physically, but most importantly mentally.. Colby is the best, he constantly is active and engaged with you during your workout, he's there for questions strategies , and also just to chat and see how your doing ... My experience with Colby and the trainers at Olde Town Athlete continues to be a great one. I joined 7 months ago looking to reverse some weight gain and feel comfortable in my clothes again. Not only have I found that, I’m down 20+ lbs, but I’ve gained strength and muscle and an overall confidence in myself.
The class sizes are small, the gym is clean with all new equipment, and the location is super convenient. I look forward to my 5:30am classes and that says something!!

I've been an athlete all my life and served in the United States Marine Corps. After I was medically retired, I was at the lowest in my life.
