Started in March for my birthday. I have been to many gyms and the crew here are always friendly and if not they are busy cleaning or helping others. The red light therapy has been so helpful with my weightloss. I love the different weight machines, Smith machine, pully systems, free weights. There is usially no wait time, but it is not a long at all. People are generally courteous here too. I love the hydro massage at the end of my workouts. Massage chairs Too!

If I could give 0 stars I would. During covid, I could not use gym for 2 months
THEY WERE LITERALLY CLOSED. DOORS LOCKED. they charged me for the 2 months they were closed. Then against my advice, my son signed up for the teen program they advertised last summer. He used the gym all summer, then started school and couldnt make it to gym. Being a teenager he didn't know he had to cancel his membership and they also didnt make that clear in the advertisement. 4 months later. He has not used the gym not one single time in those 4 months. He goes to his bank account and sees that planet fitness took 146 dollars from him. Not a good business, and I feel like they scammed my son. If your going to have a teen plan, make it a teen plan then. Don't take advantage of our youth as you do us adults. Or just don't advertise a teen plan that looks different from the rest, but in conclusion has all the same regulations as an adult. This is our youth and you took advantage of him. DO BETTER PLANET FITNESS!!!

Canceled membership in February of 2025, in person got nothing saying it's Canceled, employer had me fill out paperwork and then said it's all Canceled. I leave county, because I'm active duty military, and find out that I'm still being charged and also for late fees. Called they said no refund available, and I still need to cancel. So 6 months of charges with fees such crap. Spoke to military lawyer and ill be taking action

Beautiful place! I hear every year when I pass by for work. You can come and lift heavy stuff all the way to the sky so the lord can see and be proud. Lots of sexy, motivated and physically and mentally strong people to support your gains with their sole presence so one day you can become one of them if you have not till that day for some reason (your reason here). Have no idea about availability of a toilet paper in the toilets nor I have any info on their trash bin situation and overall cleanliness bc that’s not what I’m here for and that’s not what you need to check either. I appreciate that Planet Fitness makes fitness accessible to so many ordinary people. The gym is nice and the fee is low. There are many people doing well here. There are often a few people who will sit on a machine on their phone, not working out, for a long time, and that can be discouraging. This is a minority but happens more often at an entry-level gym like Planet Fitness. This is a byproduct of a low monthly fee, and in reality, those who pay a membership and don't use the gym are supplementing those of us who do, so I can't complain much. I must say that I saw a male in a pink jump suit come in about 2 years ago. He had about 2 days of beard stubble and was like 6'1", 200lbs. At the end of his workout, he walked into the women's locker room, and was there for 10 min. I asked the staff if they had a policy and they weren't sure. My wife took her membership elsewhere and I didn't argue that.

"You get what you pay for" that is obvious from some of the members and the way the gym is kept. It is always the same ones doing more talking that working out. There's a guy that comes that reeks of weed, others have never heard of deodorant.
"Gym ediquet" it seems is something that no one has ever heard of. I'm trying to workout and people stand right there next to you carrying on a conversation.
I avoid eye contact for a reason.
I love when people try and take one of the cables when I'm working out without asking. The purple ones always jerk. The yellow ones in the back left are what I prefer but Friday one of the sides was messed up to where you couldn't adjust the weight. Yeah I could have said something, but you get tired of it. I know someone messed it up and just left it. That is just inconsiderate and rude.
I don't get to come in as much as I used to last week when I used the leg press they had adjusted the safety on it again. I'm small not your average size male, which is what they make most of this equipment for. When it is up that high I can't get low enough to get a good press in.
I do like the hours although I wished you opened up earlier on the weekend.

My Wife and I just joined a few weeks ago. I don’t see how any one can give this place a 1 star review. All the machines are nice, clean environment, and the employees are always helpful. I absolutely love the Hydromassage chairs, they are so nice. Powerful stand up or lay down tanning beds as well. Great place, definitely worth trying out, we loved it.

Management at this facility is lacking.

Another Sunday morning with a parking lot full and no one to open the gym… it’s after 7:30 now. I’m sure someone is aware that the alarm was not disabled on time. There is no sense of urgency from ownership or management.

Lockers are in disrepair. And more than that, they lend themselves , in this state of disrepair, to be vandalized. Missing hinges and broken doors are pried back to gain access.

Couple these issues with a generally poor clean and unfriendly staff and you get a 2 star experience 🤷‍♂️

I have been a member of Planet Fitness at the Austin bluffs location for 2 years. The facility is clean, the equipment is well maintained, and the staff are friendly.
Nathan always greets the patrons with a "welcome in", and a smile.
I have lost a significant amount of weight since working out at planet fitness. I had reached a plateau that had me very frustrated and uncertain of how to continue on my weight loss journey.
With several recommendations from fellow gym members, I signed up with Oshen, the personal trainer at planet fitness.
I am sincerely impressed with his knowledge and his ability to connect with me and fellow gym members.
His training has shown me a new routine, and a safe and effective way to help me continue my journey at planet fitness.
Oshen is pleasant, respectful, and his dedication to planet fitness and the members have shown to be true at every encounter.

I had been a member at Planet Fitness for years, but I left to be at a smaller gym for a time. Today was my return, and at this location, the man at the front desk was named Nathan, and he was extremely helpful, vigilant, always on his feet and doing something productive. I have been at plenty of gyms where staff just sit back and are on their phones and don't seem to care about maintaining the gym or helping with client requests, so it made me very happy to see that the staff here seem to be serious about keeping a clean and organized and safe gym space.

I have to say, Planet Fitness, specifically Austin Bluffs has become a part of my daily routine. The gym is always clean, has a great vibe, and the staff in particular is why I choose this location. The manager, GABBI, and the rest of the staff and crew, Nathan, Jaiden etc, are all just absolutely friendly and accommodating and have a wonderful welcoming energy. I've been to many gyms in Colorado Springs, but this Austin Bluff PF is by far my favorite experience.

Went here for about two years, had to cancel my membership because i moved. Staff was always friendly, and generally the place was full, but never full enough that you couldn’t get a workout in. Free weights were generally available too. Overall a great experience.

Today I just had a workout at planet fitness over on Austin Bluffs. I had a great work out with my husband until towards the end. We had a disgruntled customer that was there and verbally attacked me and my husband inside and outside of the gym planet fitness. The staff did nothing to help us defuse the situation besides leaving a remark of “I don’t get paid enough to do anything” from that cute lil red head at the front desk. My husband and I were watching tv on the screens and the other customer thought we were looking at him and provoked us. We will not be attending this gym ever again.

I’m updating my review because the business had the employee who was on drugs fired. Since then, things are back to fabulous. The manager, at least I assume he is the manager, Nathan, is such a pleasant man. He always greets me and is encouraging if I make a comment like, “oh, I’m late today”. He asks if I’m using the red light and tanning before my workout because that’s what I usually do. Always nice to be recognized in a business you frequent. That man seems to do everything for the gym; running the front desk, cleaning, changing bulbs in the tanning equipment, and restocking paper towels and sprays. Great employee and I’d hire him away if I were not retired.
Ocean, their trainer, is always kind and respectful too. He also seems to enjoy his work and helps me with anything I need if I ask.
I’m back to really enjoying going to the gym. It’s nice to see smiling faces when I walk in the door and I love the Planet Fitness attitude of “no judgement”. Highly recommended.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. I went in to PF to find out details pertaining to their base membership. I had ran into gym transfer issues and Nathan really helped me out. I was never supposed to be transferred to the Austin Bluffs location, but one closer to home. He remember all the complications I discussed and actually called me back. I was struggling with the other gym to help me get everything back in order. The only thing that sucks is there is only one person in the morning and if you need help or need to use any of the black card stuff you have to wait up to ten min for someone to even come to the counter. Maybe have a scan option to make the black card things like massage chairs more accessible.

Two stars given for the cleanliness and size of the facaility. All the equipment is in good repair. However, the staff at this location is the most unfriendly and incompetent of any PF gym i have ever visited (this is the 6th I've been to). I have been greeted by the front desk staff maybe 3-4 times in the four monthd I have come to this location (4-5 visits weekly), and frequently I will have to wait to get my carn scanned because the only person working is helping someone but is oblivious to the growing line of people waiting to scan. Perhaps have the scanner on and pointed outwards so we can scan it ourselves? My partner also says that there is no hot water in the women's locker room.

dog poop?

went to this location for the first time today and was greeted by the most adorable puppy! it belonged to the general manager.
when my friend and i were later doing our workout her dog literally POOPED in the middle of the stretching area and she only picked it up. she did not mop anything, spray anything, even wipe anything. (this was in front of multiple members).
i told other employees on my way out and put down my info for the owner to get to me but i highly doubt that note will find its way there. how is the head of this locations manger so comfortable promoting uncleanliness-literal biohazards, where people are on the ground working out, putting their phones keys and waters down?!
deeply disgusted and will not be going back in fear there is literal dog poop on the floor.

I've been using this gym for several years and it was mostly a good experience. Lately there's been people filming themselves flexing in the men's locker room and restroom. They are getting other people changing and using the restroom in their videos which I'm pretty sure is illegal. I reported it to the front desk staff and they did not go into the locker room and stop the filming. Planet fitness is actively allowing people to record others using the restroom and getting changed in the locker room.

No v-bar or ropes for tricep workouts in thier pulley machine. No autolocking lockers, you must provide your own lock. The parking lot looks like the front lines of Ukraine 🇺🇦.

I travel often. I've been to a lot of Planet Fitness locations. The gym looks good. The men's room showers are a disaster. There is a pool of water outside of the showers. My shower had a broken drain cover. You could cut yourself on it. The showers are very small too.

“Equipment for every workout” advertised in their ads. They have lots, but they don’t have free weight barbells for squatting/ benching/ deadlifts. You’re forced to use a smith machine (not bad but it’s a whole different game benching free weights vs a smith machine). Just annoying that the advertising isn’t 100% honest. They use only smith machines instead of real barbells. That’s my only complaint for the 3 stars.

PF only charges $10/mo for the classic membership, which allows use of PF floor equipment only, and there is A LOT of floor equipment, all clean and well maintained. It's a large facility, with most equipment duplicated. They also have a rooms and equipment set aside for "12 Minute Abs Workout", and "30 Minute Circuit Training".

At the end of September, they changed out about two thirds of all their machines with new, upgraded versions. The new machine actually have a readout that counts reps and counts down a minute for you.

Signed up through the app didn't give me a choice on what location. And I wasn't aware that you would be charged an extra 10 bucks if you don't go to your home gym you only get 10 visits. So I tried to get it switched they said it hasn't been 90 days. So they told me next time I go in to cancel and re up for free they canceled for me on their own and took out the $49 cleaning wich useto be a $29 cleaning fee. But they made sure it took out and and cancled my membership with out me present. Bearly even been there 2months. Looks like I'm going back to the YMCA atleast they won't charge you for going to other gyms. Planet fitness use to be great because there was no hassle but all its been for me lately is a hassle and now I have no gym membership ship thanks!!!!

I was using two different machines because no one was using them. A man asked me if I was done. I told him that I wasn’t and he started telling me that I had to use only one machine at the time. I said “well you can complain to management to bring another machine". He did not ask the man using another leg curl machine if he was done. Usually I use only 1 machine. People wait quietly until the person finishes their workout without harassing them and asking them when they will finish or how many sets they got left, or whether or not they are still using them while stretching as that becomes bothersome when you have 10 people asking you for each and every machine. So, the man complained to management that “I won’t allow him to use the machine” which I did not say. Also, another man who watched from afar, complained that the man asked me how many sets I have left” which is a complete lie, he assumed that what he asked me. Then staff member, Esmeralda, stopped by to harass me while I was working out rather than to wait for me until I was done, that two people have complained that I did not let them use the machine, like I can stop anyone from doing it if I am not there. I told her to stop harassing and intimidate me on the front of everybody, but she won’t have it. She said that I am allowed to use only one machine at a time. This is not in their agreement of terms and conditions and as she tried to single me out, make me feel small, insignificant, and worthless. I told her that I am not responsible for peoples lies or assumptions. I told her that I won’t accept any discrimination or harassment by man or her. I called her on it and she refused to validate my feelings or at least pretend to be understanding or empathetic. On the contrary she got super mad because I called her on her irresponsible and reckless behavior, so she started to verbally abuse me be arguing with me, insinuating as it was all my fault, and calling me that I have an attitude. Every time I go when the place is busy there are always men who pull their chest up, raise their voice, and start rushing you to leave by asking you how many sets you have etc. and I do not see them asking the man who are using the same machine across the isle. I had to suffer men’s and staffs’ abuse at this place. Don’t call Esmeralda on her outrageous behavior, because she will try to shut you up by single you our try to invalidate your statement or how you feel, blame you for every thing that’s’ happening rather than to take responsibility, and verbally abuse you. The club states that they do not tolerate “gymtimidation,” which is a complete lie. Not only that they tolerate it they encourage it. She also asked me about my name and she couldn’t remember it or because I have a foreign name she made the most disgusted face as if she is appalled to even looked at me. I understand that she may not like women, or white women, or foreigners I don’t know, but she has to get used to it because we are paying her salary.
Management 1) does not provide additional leg curl and extension machines. I go to the gym only 1-2 times per week and if it is busy I get harassed every time. They have only 2 of each and they have like 20 people within an hour waiting to use them. THIS IS COMPLETELY INSANE.
2) staff is not trained to handle customers complains. Good customer service: obtain all facts, avoid assumption, and stop making insinuations, be empathetic and understanding and not act on excitement and point the finger left and right because they cannot handle the situation, do not be arguing with customers, but take their concerns seriously, validate their feelings if they feel upset or angry and not pretend that it is not happening and every thing is the clients fault, not verbally abuse them by calling them names as they are having an attitude, or anything else. Staff have to be respectful, courteous, attentive, and helpful. Under no circumstances should they act discriminatory in anyway, body language, facial expression, or verbally. Lastly have to offer a solution and not just walk away.

As a gym, I've been pleased. As for the customer service, it is seriously hit or miss. When I re-signed up last week, the ladies were great. Ever since then, I have entered and the person or people behind the counter have their heads buried in their phones, no acknowledgement or greeting, or they are busy ***ching to each other about a bad guest experience. I get it that it's hard to find good help, but the unprofessionalism is not welcome.

I have been a member of PF for about 8 months now. This location has everything I need for a complete workout; treadmills, elliptical machines, bikes. free weights, and a nice variety of weight machines. The locker rooms, bathroom, and gym are clean. You can't beat the price. The only negatives are that the AC seemed to be turned off when we were having hot weather and the gym was stuffy and warm. Sometimes the music is on too loud. Wish that you could get the audio on all the TVs to work so you can get the audio on your own headphones. Can never get Channel 13 to come through my headphones.

I'd love to know why the a/c isn't turned on at the Austin bluffs and constitution locations. Woodmen rd uses theirs. It's been in the 90s and was 79 degrees in the building. Are the owners so cheap that they can't use the a/c?

First time at a planet fitness and I gotta say I was impressed. Not a very large gym but a good assortment of machines all in working order. Place was clean and people actually cleaned up after themselves! Also quite enjoyed the amenities given to the black card holders. A massage after a workout? Oh yea.

I’m not an avid gym buff type of person so I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed working out here so much. The facility is clean, there is a large variety of equipment, the staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable, and the other gym goers are polite but keep to themselves. It wasn’t too crowded and everyone made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I am a novice so I went with a friend who showed me the machines and their proper use. For the price of the membership being so affordable, the facility being so well kept and clean, and the amount of different types of machines & services offered, I highly recommend this gym.

Pretty good planet fitness. It's larger, more machines, less populated, and more clean then the other planet fitnesses I've been to. However I have 2 issues with this gym. Firstly, many of the machines and bars squeak as your using them which is incredibly annoying when your trying to get your sets in. Also, there wifi is ridiculously bad I couldn't even get a YouTube video to load and waited over 10 minutes. Overall not a bad gym, also really cheap and awesome staff!

I have been a member of this Planet Fitness for several years.

It is always clean. I see Esme and Julia making continual rounds wiping down machines and refilling the disinfectant stations and paper towels.

I've had a couple of issues with my bill. Both times I took it to Gabbi and she fixed it on the spot.

Zach is a knowledgeable trainer. He's always willing to answer questions or demonstrate the proper way to do an exercise.

The gym is ok. It would be better if it were open 24 hours and if they didn’t close the spa area 20-30 mins before closing. The hydro massage takes 10 mins, if I finish my workout 15-20 mins before closing, I should be allowed to use it. The membership says “unlimited” hydro massage. Also, PF advertises these locations as “24/5” but they close early 3 days out of 7. They are 24/4. Idk why that math is so hard lol.

Good accommodations. They have lots of equipment choices. I enjoy the tanning beds, and hydro-massage chairs. One of the regular massage chairs has one broken element but is still working. The staff have been helpful when I've come in. Most people remember to clean up after themselves but there are always a few who don't, so you might want to wipe down equipment before and after use. Would recommend this place.

Really great experience here. Been coming to the same location for 6 years. Tye over night guy is fantastic. I remember I lost my phone and had it sounding off for 15mins but could not track it down. I asked him if he could help me track it down and he instantly stopped what ye was doing and we tracked it down. Thanks for that. Great customer service.

It's good for machine weights. The dumbbells go up to 75lbs & the straight & EZ-curl bars up to 50lbs. The TRX helps with pull/chin-ups and the entire facility is always clean.

Lady at the front desk was EXTREMELY RUDE & also VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I wasn’t able to catch her name but she seemed like it was such a big problem to get off her phone and actually help me (a paying customer) with some issues with my planet fitness account. She was very rude, judgmental & quite frankly that’s not how you treat your members. I will no longer be a member with planet fitness after today, and I will most definitely let everyone I know to steer clear of this place. What a JOKE.

Esmeralda was extremely helpful in helping me transfer my planet fitness home location. She also helped me transfer the account from my name to my husband's name. Good basic Planet Fitness but inconsistent Wifi over the past few years is frustrating. Tell the front desk and you will be told "their working on it" or "they know" or "we are waiting on parts" or something along those lines. This Wifi outage is going on 5+ weeks and this is not the first time it hase been down for extended periods over the past few years. This is disappointing as the buildings construction blocks people from simply using their data as we all wait for WiFi to magically resume working. Unacceptable IMO....

UPDATE about 10 days after my post the WIFI was fixed!!!!..... unfortunately about a week later the WIFI stopped working again and has not worked now for well over 2 weeks so yeah, not impressed. At this point I am planning to downgrade my membership from Black Card and take the extra $ and check out Vasa or 24Hour Fitness
