I was resting my eyes on the couch, meditating and listening to the TV in the lounge and one of the employees came up to me and clapped his hands in my face and told me to leave even though the gym wasn't closing for another hour. I have no idea why someone would treat me the way they were and speaking to me as if I were a child. I can't believe planet fitness employees try to mess with people psychologically and ruin people in other ways.

So the black card membership is so worth it. I get there at 5 am to do a workout before work and end with either the beauty angel vibrating platform coupled with sensory light therapy or I hope onto the hydro massage bed or chair before leaving to get ready for work. Staff is super nice and helpful whenever I've asked questions. I asked a lot getting acclimated to new equipment and the new location. Have never had to wait to get on machines.

The equipment and space is awesome however the short lady that’s in the front scanning is rude. She told my husband he cannot enter the gym without my presence. The men's room showers have only cold warmish water and when I asked the staff it seemed not a concern rather something purposeful to deter people from using them. I would avoid this gym, it has security guards who bother you for no reason as a customer and the staff are on their phones instead of cleaning.

This location is currently out of compliance with FTC "click to cancel" ruling which went into effect on January 14th. They have until May 14th to comply. Their foot-dragging is a bad-faith and predatory business practice intended to generate what revenue they can from unaware consumers until the last minute. As my home gym, the Lakewood Colfax Planet Fitness sets the standard for excellence. It’s the cleanest gym I’ve been to, and the staff are by far the friendliest you’ll encounter. The manager Sana is incredible she truly knows her guests, which adds a personal touch that’s rare to find. There’s a reason this location is number one in its district. It holds a higher bar than most other gyms in the metro area, and I compare every other location to this one. If you’re looking for a welcoming and well-maintained gym, this is the place to be!

Today I went into this location as I do several times a week. The manager, Sana, who is ALWAYS rude, short, & unprofessional told me that I needed to make a payment plan with her to pay my $175 balance. She completely made this up! I was late paying my monthly membership a few weeks ago & had a $10 late fee in addition to my $25 monthly fee. The employee working this day was eager to help & waved the $10 late fee for me. Something isn't adding up here. I joined this gym under the $1 sign up promotion. When I was unable to workout due to my disability (Lupus) I called & was told that although they normally require a signature to freeze my account, I would be accommodated. When I asked her to print out an invoice or to write down the charges after explaining this all to her, she refused. When she told me I wasn't going to be allowed to workout without complying, I tried to appease her by agreeing to work out a payment plan which she informed me would be a verbal contract but she then asked me to leave. I was shocked & angry. I left & have reported this incident to corporate. I believe she wanted to pocket the money for these bogus charges which is why she didn't want to provide me with any type of billing in writing. Do not let this scammer rob you! Prior to this I was very happy going to this location despite her consistently nasty attitude for apparently no reason. It's too bad that PF doesn't drug test their employees because I'm convinced she is seeking funds for her bad habit(s) based on her erratic behavior.

Bulbs are like a hospital - too bright and offensive . You have to wear your eclipse glasses to stretch. You can't get away from the lights if you're on your back stretching.

Too cold - not good for the gym because cold makes you want to consume more calories after a workout.

Sometimes the music is way too loud - either wear noise cancelling headphones which could be dangerous because you're not alerted to emergencies or risk ear damage by blasting the music on your headphones. Why is the music so loud when most people use headphones? Also the music is usually pretty bad and doesn't really pump you up for a workout. It's like top 20 pop or weak house music most of the time. Read some studies on music and exercise maybe. At least they have the Rockbot app 🤷🏼‍♂️

The showers smell like pee sometimes. Actually, the men's locker room bathroom stall area usually smells pretty bad, like it's not cleaned very often.

They have signs up to wipe equipment after use but they have an antimicrobial spray that only works if it's sprayed and dries by itself, like all antimicrobial sprays....

Way too many people come in with A LOT of perfume on.

Inside was decent but the locker room was trash. I’m an avid gym rat and this location was the worst.

Showers were dirty with black marks, no soap, and the locker room just smelt like sweaty body oder. If there’s another plant fitness near by, go there and save the hassle.

Positive side, I really enjoyed the layout, very open, plenty of equipment and great staff, the staff was very impressive and really accommodating.

Unfortunately it was not clean and the locker room smelled Gross.

Beware the nose blower: in the 4 years I’ve been coming to this location, I quickly became aware of the nose blower. 9 times out of ten when I’m there in the morning, he’s there, on the stairmaster, for over an hour. The whole time, he’ll be farmer blowing his nose into his hands, and then just casually keep touching everything. When he’s done, you better believe he won’t wipe it off. A couple years ago I finally said something to a guy behind the front desk, when Covid was still very much ch a concern, and the guy responded with a shoulder shrug like it wasn’t a big deal, and said he’s a regular. As if being a regular gives you permission to wipe your snot all over the machines? I just took about 7 months off, but upon my return the past few weeks, yup, he’s still there, everytime, blowing his nose all over the machine and projecting all those particles in the air, for hours! Make sure you wipe the machines before you use them, ESPECIALLY the stair master, and stay on the other side of the gym if you see him so you’re not breathing in his mucus, because the staff here aren’t going to protect you from him.

This place is a disaster. Equipment is always broken. They literally only have ONE 50 lb curl bar in the entire gym and the employee says "I think they are getting it fixed, it's in the back." Smith machines are always broken, but hey at least they have 200 treadmills that are always empty. Avoid this place at all costs.

Coming from Corporate Management myself... The leadership is impeccable at this location. Sana Guzema is EXCELLENT Manager, her skills is beyond what I see in Management at Planet Fitness. I been over 50 different Planets Fitness locations for work. Sana mentor her staffs by speaking to them professional and with lots off excitement from the tone of her voice. Her staffs can see that. Everyone is happy when I walked in every morning. When I walked in it liked a family atmosphere Everyone know you by your first name and they greet you when you walked in and out. I LOVE coming to this locations because of GREAT leadership shown by Sana Guzman. The bathroom is very cleans same as the Fitness machines. I wished every location is the same, but unfortunately it come down to GREAT Leadership at every location..KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK ...LOVE IT HERE..

So rude, The Manager called me after having issues with contacting the 98 Wadsworth store. One of her employees hung up on me because I had a frustrated tone and I was louder than they'd like. She called to scold me. She called 4 days later after I left a bad review, angry, She did not fix the issue, rather decided that she was going to reprimand me and not unfreeze my account for a month to teach me a lesson, wow. She even said on the phone that she was calling to harass me.

I originally called to change my home gym because I moved to IL. Now I'm thinking is it even worth it?

The Lakewood Planet Fitness is a great location. Not only is it a great location, it's huge.
I never have a problem accessing the equipment, and having the black card membership, I have never had a problem getting into one of the total body enhancement (red light therapy) or tanning beds.
Every single employee has always offered a warm welcome and make an effort to say goodbye when leaving.
Definitely five stars.

I returned to working out just before turning 60. I have a fantastic fitness coach who walks me through each exercise. After two months I am starting to see the results. The smell of synthetic air freshener is overwhelming at these gyms - its really unpleasant - The air ducts, ceiling fans, areas under equipment is covered in a layer of dirt about 2 inches thick at the one I visited near Sloan's - when I asked why it was like this the manager said it was " discoloration" I wiped up the" discoloration" on my hand and showed her that it is actually dirt and sand .

It's not in the best location because of the homeless but it's never busy when I choose to go. Which is usually before 9am during the week or after 6pm. On the weekends it's still pretty empty. Staff is chill and of course you get the normal people that don't know proper gym etiquette. Highly suggest cleaning your machines BEFORE and of course after your workout.

I’ve been unable to transfer my membership online to a new gym in my new state. I’ve been told to contact my home gym (this location). Management has never followed through on a) transferring my membership b) returning any of my phone calls. I’ve been the one to call them for updates until Tara started working with me - who appears great - but is going above and beyond due to management’s ineptitude.

I have reached out to the location on multiple occasions. I have been billed for the last 6 months, even though I called and requested my membership canceled. Each time I call, I am assured Im cancelled and then again, my account is charged. I've been doing this for 6 months now and I am so beyond frustrated. I have my contract number. I have all my bank statements that show I keep being charged, but they're isn't anyone that can find my membership. Compared to the 100+ other PF clubs I’ve been to, this gym is only worth 3 stars. It’s smaller than a lot of the other clubs (including some in the Denver area), it’s lacking a lot of the equipment that the larger facilities have, and it doesn’t have the good cardio brand that all of the better PF clubs have (they have Matrix here, but Life Fitness is the best). They do keep a perfect temperature in here for summertime though.

2023 edit: There is a obnoxious trainer that works there. Short guy, think his name is Job? (That's what his name tag says) and he's a total bag. Asked for some help from him one day and in the middle of conversation just walked away from me and ignored me.
