Since joining Pure Barre Highlands in September, I can confidently say that it has transformed not only my fitness routine but my overall well-being. As a dialysis patient, finding the right workout was crucial for me, and barre has proven to be the perfect low-impact option that still challenges me and helps build strength.
The barre classes are fantastic! Each session is designed to enhance flexibility and tone muscles without putting too much strain on my body, which is especially important for someone in my situation. I love how the movements are carefully structured to target specific areas, providing an effective workout that leaves me feeling invigorated yet not exhausted.
One of the standout features of Pure Barre Highlands is the exceptional staff. The instructors are not only knowledgeable and encouraging but also genuinely care about the well-being of each participant. They provide modifications to ensure that everyone, regardless of fitness level or ability, can fully engage in the class. This level of personalized attention makes a significant difference and helps foster a supportive environment.
The community at PBH is simply amazing. From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt welcomed by both the staff and fellow participants. The camaraderie among members creates a positive atmosphere that motivates you to keep coming back. It’s incredible to be part of a group that celebrates each other’s progress, no matter how big or small.
Since starting my journey at PBDH, I’ve not only seen incredible changes in my body—losing weight and inches—but I've even achieved something I never thought possible: a thigh gap! This progress reinforces my belief that with the right workout and a supportive community, anything is achievable.
I wholeheartedly recommend Pure Barre Highlands to anyone looking for an effective, inclusive, and enjoyable workout experience. For people like me who need low-impact options, this is truly a perfect fit. I can’t wait to see what more I can achieve as I continue my journey with this amazing group!
UPDATE! ***
I’m excited to share an update on my Pure Barre journey! I recently completed my 100th class milestone, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the progress I've made. Over the course of my time at PBDH, I’ve lost 22 lbs and significantly toned my body, with the most notable transformation in my back muscles and leg muscles.
To showcase my progress, I’ve included some updated photos that illustrate just how lean I've become compared to when I started. Seeing these changes truly motivates me!
One of my proudest moments was wearing a backless dress for this year's Valentine's Day dinner. It felt amazing to embrace my progress and confidence!
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the PBDH staff and community. Your support has been instrumental in helping me reach these goals. I’m so proud of what I’ve accomplished, and it's all thanks to the incredible experience and motivation at PBDH.
Here’s to more milestones and a continued commitment to a healthier, stronger me!

I have been coming to Pure Barre for years, even through the pandemic. From day one you get personal attention from the front desk and teachers. All the staff get to know you by name and it's like having a whole new friend group between the staff and other clients. And when it comes to the workout, Pure Barre is always a challenge that pushes you even after coming for years AND if you are getting back to working out, it is a great place to start, challenging, yes, but there are many adjustments you can make to be successful. The teachers will make sure you have a great experience. If you are starting at Pure Barre, I encourage you to try out all the different class formats. I go 4-5 times per week and get a great variety.
I couldn't recommend the work out or the team at Pure Barre Highlands more highly.

If you are looking for a personal entry into good health using your basic functions of balance and strength with awesome instruction you should try Pure Barre Highlands. I’m an older woman who had not exercised in many years and after a warm friendly introduction I was a fan. Jody, Amanda and Lauren showed me this is not just an exercise studio.

Amazing spot!! I had never done barre before and gave it a try for the first time at this studio. That was 3 years ago and 300 classes later I can't imagine my life without it 🙌🏻 I also pay for their annual pass which gives you access to online classes that I use whenever I'm traveling. I also really like the culture of this studio and love their playlists. Highly recommend.

Pure Barre Denver Highlands is amazing. Jody and Amanda have built a top-notch team of instructors and community of strong, supportive, and inclusive women (and a few brave men.) Their various formats allow you to pick what type of movement will work best for you on any given day. There are those who are there solely for the workouts and others who want the workouts plus feeling part of a community. Jody is always finding ways to make you feel more engaged with Pop-Ups, Wine Down Wednesdays, Focus/Intensives, Coffee Fridays, Holiday Bingo, monthly challenges, etc. As I’m approaching the 1,000 class mark, I highly recommend the workout and team at Pure Barre Highlands. Come join our community.

I recently relocated to Denver and one of the reasons I chose the area I live in is because this studio is 5 mins away. I'm SO happy to be a member at Pure Barre Denver Highlands! As a person who is new to town and is still meeting people and making friends, I'm happy to say the PBDH staff have become my friends! The teachers are top notch, the front desk is friendly, and so is the owner! Do yourself a favor and check this studio out!

Pure Barre Denver Highlands is amazing. Jody and Amanda have built a top notch team of instructors and community of strong, supportive, and inclusive women (and a few brave men.) Their various formats allow you to pick what type of movement will work best for you on any given day. If you are looking for more of a stretch-based, restorative class, choose Align. If you want to push your aerobic conditioning, Empower is an ideal choice. If you want to build your strength, they now offer Define, which has been a huge hit with members. And don’t think for a minute that Classic is a walk in the park as I find it to be the most challenging. As I’m approaching the 750 class mark, I highly recommend the workout and team at Pure Barre Highlands. Come join our community.

For once, I am so grateful for the algorithms that led to a Pure Barre ad on my social media. I snagged my first class for free back in November 2022 and haven't looked back! The PB Denver Highlands community is first and foremost so welcoming, but also fun, communicative, strong and full of unique people from all walks of life. Pure Barre offers a structured workout, different class formats, constant encouragement and engaging challenges that always keeps me coming back. There is zero judgement for where you are at in your fitness journey, only support. 10/10 would recommend for anyone's physical and mental wellbeing! <3

As a Pure Barre community member since 2016 (on and off), I can wholeheartedly say the Denver Highlands studio is my favorite one I’ve been to thus far. Since my first class at this studio and every day since, the staff has been helpful, kind, motivating, and encouraging. I love that they all have their unique styles, but every class is still a great one. The classes are great, and I appreciate that the team constantly asks for feedback to adjust the schedule to meet members' needs. The studio and equipment are always clean, which is much appreciated. Not only do I look forward to my workouts, but I also look forward to chatting with the incredible staff and other members. Jody (the owner) has cultivated something extraordinary here! Join us, I promise you won’t regret it!

We are taught the concept of mastery early in life, this notion that we understand long division so we are ready for pre-algebra then algebra.
I about quit barre because I never got any “better” and I used that to mentally beat myself about the head and shoulders.
I realized that barre is a practice, not an exercise in striving towards mastery. And I let myself up to “fail” on a regular basis. I can other stand on one foot or do bicep curls but I cannot do both.
I have been to Pure Barre classes all over the country and I find them uniformly excellent but Jody, the owner, takes this studio to the next level. I missed a class because I was in the ICU and Jody immediately texted me offering the next class with my favorite instructor.
The instructors are universally excellent across all Pure Barre locations. There are some I view with a certain amount of dread but I won’t name names.
I’m 62 years old of average size. I’ve been doing barre for about ten years since my daughter in law dragged me into a free class. My first thought was “this is the hardest thing I’ve ever done and I will NEVER do that again” to going three times a week.

Getting myself to workout has always been a struggle, so starting pure barre was honestly life changing. The team is seriously amazing and I can’t imagine myself going to another studio. They were also very flexible this last year when I was dealing with a loss in the family (and had to take a break). When I needed to pause for a month, they didn’t hesitate. When I started back up, they welcomed me back with open arms. I also had ACL surgery this last fall and everyone was very attentive and suggested modifications for completing the exercises when my flexibility was limited. If you want a workout that is nice on the joints and modifiable for where you’re at in your fitness journey, pure barre is one of your best options out there. Also… following along used to stress me out because I was clumsy and terrible at choreography. But after taking a few classes in a row, I found myself easily rolling through class. Give it some time and it’ll click.

The Pure Barre Highlands studio is a great space with a friendly vibe, welcoming staff, and challenging but supportive instructors. The pace of the classes and fun music make the time pass quickly, even as we're all working really hard! WOW! The rudest, most confrontational staff I have ever encountered. Heather ridiculed me over terms and then as I left she started complaining about me to a room of participants. She was an entirely uncharted level of unprofessional and she was argumentative, aggressive and impatient with explaining the terms.
To clarify, I have been going to Pure Barre since 2014 in NYC, and when I joined years ago we didn't have a First Week Free Offer. I know very well that each location is independent, which is why I can't transfer my NYC class packs to Denver, but instead I can start as a new client at the Denver studio so naturally I assumed I would be able to do the intro offer since I had never done it before and just moved to Colorado. I then got a few of my friends interested and was excited to bring them in for the new client special so we can all join together. Before bringing them down, I came in to make sure it was a good studio and to activate the offer. When I tried to activate this, Heather was hot tempered, condescending and made a point to ridicule me. To add insult to injury, when i told her i felt like this was misleading she says to me me she can see I signed up online "where the terms are listed and that I clearly did not read the terms correctly"!?
After I left, I stood in the lobby vestibule as she complained and bad mouthed me, a prospective client, to an entire lobby of existing clients. She went on venting to this room of attendees how she gets yelled at all the time by confused people, which communicates she probably isn't the best with customer service if she can't properly deescalate situations or that she's constantly making people so angry with her. If people are really always upset or yelling at you there's probably a bigger issue.
Regardless of what the situation is, this is not about free classes, this is about how you treat clients. It is never okay to ridicule prospective clients and to behave this way in front of existing clients. What I have always loved about PB are the teachers, how the owners are so involved and the compassion they have for their clients. This is not an inexpensive hobby either.
It wasn't until I spoke with Casidy who is also a manager that I came back here. She was a complete 180 of Heather and really helpful. I'm really relieved I connected with her or otherwise i would never come back here. I once considered opening my own PB studio and I would be mortified if I had someone like Heather acting like this to new customers and in front of existing customers. I'm doubting Heather would ever behave this way in front of the owner, and I hope Heather can learn learn how to be an ambassador of the PB brand or at the very least be respectful and patient with loyal customers.

Walking up to this place, I felt like I should have been prepared with a secret knock and code phrase just to get in. I didn't pay attention to the website before I came, it clearly says, "entrance is in the back alley". So I wandered around on 32nd for a few minutes before seeing the tiny little red "p" sign that is their logo on the back corner of the building. After going around the corner, half down an alley (that was very well lit at 5:50 in the morning), I see this large metal door that looks like it leads to some sketchy warehouse. Luckily, it led to a nice hallway that takes you to Pure Barre.
I've been to a couple classes here. I recently became obsessed with barre and this place is fantastic. They mix up the classes, sometimes you'll use a ball, sometimes a band, sometimes one set of weights, sometimes two. But no matter what you're using, your legs will be literally shaking! The instructors are great (and encourage the leg shaking). They don't do the movements with you though, so sometimes I have to look at people who seem to be regulars to make sure I'm doing it right. If you are doing something wrong, the instructor will correct you--always in an encouraging way though.
They have really good new client specials. If you're looking to get into barre, give it a try.
